Then she got up, and went into the trees to hunt.

She hunted, and soon caught a mouse, which is great seince a snowstorm had rushed through the day before.

Then she sat down in the cold forest to eat it.

When she finished up her mouse, she slowly walked back to the frozen pond.

Once she got there, she saw a cat struggling in the pond.

She ran to help, easily keeping her footing on the slick ice.

She made it to the middle, and grabbed the flailing cat by its scruff.

Then, little by little, she pulled the cat out.

Then Echosoul ran back into the forest, to her clan.

She explained to the cats about the ice, and how to stay away from the middle.

Soon Echosoul and her clanmates were on their way to the frozen pond.

When they got there, most of the cats looked scared to go onto the ice.

But the others didn't care. They skidded on the ice, being careful not to go into the middle.

Echosong didn't reply.

Echosoul laughed at her clanmates as they slipped and fellwhile they went wround the pond.
