"Are we moving camp here?" Hazelle murmured, as she caught the last parts of the conversation.
Blazeglare stood at the entrance, soaking up all the new scents and sights.
"Are we moving camp here?" Hazelle murmured, as she caught the last parts of the conversation.
Blazeglare stood at the entrance, soaking up all the new scents and sights.
"Burnstripe, what about us?" Flyleaf asked, waving her tail at Spottedwolf and herself. Is living a clan life really what I want? she thought.
"Maybe we should get some sleep. Then we could go hunting together in the morning. Let's go then~" he mewed softly.
(OOC - ill change the time soon :P)
Blazeglare yawned and nodded."Okay. Blizzardfur, would you like us to scout around a bit? Or leave it for later?" he mewed as his jaws opened for another mouth-splitting yawn.
Hazelle touched Blazeglare's shoulder with her tail, signaling her leave, and padded back to camp.
Flyleaf pushed Spottedwolf with her tail. "Go get some sleep. I've been resting the whole time. It's my turn." Her claws were itching to do something. If only there was a fight now. Then my true skills will be revealed! she thought. Padding up to her leader, she mewed, "I'd like to help with something, if that's okay." despite being a fighter, she knew how to show respect.
Spottedwolf grunted and padded back into the den.
Hazelle ducked through the reeds and walked straight to Burnstripe. "Burnstripe." she mewed respectfully. Rapidly, she explained everything about the ravine she saw. The protective boulders and already made dens. There was even a special rock jutted in the middle, perfect for the leader! "Do you think we would be better off living there?" she inquired.
Flyleaf paused when she saw Hazelle, her paw still in mid-air. She pricked her ears as she curiously listened her tail. But knowing to mind her own business until she was asked to speak, she continued pawing up brambles for the barrier.
"Let's hunt here!" Owlpaw purred as he skidded to a stop. Spotting a rabbit, he froze. Inching forward stealthily, he bunched his legs together and jumped onto the rabbit. The rabbit struggled, trying to flee, but Owlpaw was too heavy. Pressing it down with a paw, he raised the other, claws gleaming in the sunlight, and killed the rabbit with a quick blow.
Hazelle purred at Londonpaw. She winked at him, thinking, Told you so! You'll be alright in the end!
Blazeglare yowled out "Londonpaw! Londonpaw!" and placed his tail on the apprentice's shoulder. Then he turned to Burnstripe. "Burnstripe, do you think Hazelle here could earn her warrior name as well?" he mewed softly, so Hazelle wouldn't hear.
Hazelle flicked her ears curiously as she saw Blazeglare talking to Burnstripe, then dismissed the thought as Flyleaf padded up to her.
"Let's go hunting!" she mewed. Rounding up Spottedwolf, the three left the clearing.
Owlpaw purred and touched his muzzle to Amaryllispaw's cheek. "Yours wasn't so bad either." A sudden scent of bird filled his nose. Quickly locating its position, he padded silently towards it. The large bird was pulling fat worms out of the soft earth. It let out a loud squawk of surprise, but was cut short as Owlpaw quickly dispatched it with a blow. He quickly padded back to Amaryllispaw, the bird slowing him down.
Blazeglare followed the other cats back to camp.

Hazelle paused at the edge of the entrance. Waving her tail for the others to go first, she hurried back to Burnstripe with shining eyes. "Really?! I can?!" She jumped around, purring so loudly one might think she hurt her throat.
Flyleaf and Spottedwolf glanced at each other, and decided to wait for their friend. When they heard the news, Flyleaf touched her nose to her friend's pelt. "Congratulations."
Blazeglare purred at Hazelle with delight.
(OOC - hmm.. her warrior name.. i guess hazelle should turn into hazel? How about Hazelstripe?)
Owlpaw sensed an emotion change in Amaryllispaw. Pushing towards her, he touched her muzzle with his own. "What's wrong?" he asked.
Hazelstripe purred and licked Burnstripe's shoulder eagerly. Her gratitude shown in her eyes. Then she raced away with Spottedwolf and Flyleaf right behind her.
Owlpaw froze at the urgency in her tone. Comforting her with a few licks, he tried to coax her to speak. "What is it? Tell me." His tail ran along her flank reassuringly.
Blazeglare purred his thanks to Burnstripe. Suddenly he felt his belly rumble with hunger. He realized how long it has been since he had last eaten, and rushed towards the fresh-kill pile. Picking out a small rabbit, he devoured it with a few famished gulps. Swiping his tongue around his jaws, he padded up towards Burnstripe. "What to do now?" he asked. Having slept and eaten, Blazeglare was ready for work. "Should we start marking borders? Or have we not completely figured out our territory yet?"
Snowleaf yawned as the rustle of cats woke her. "Hey Mudtail. You look exhausted." She pointed with her tail at the empty nest beside her own. "Here's a place for you to rest, if you want, that is." she mumbled, blinking sleep from her eyes.
Dramatickit and Creamykit skidded to a stop in front of the Elder's Den, each carrying a mouse. Their sister, Spiritkit, followed at a more calm and slow pace. A plump vole filled her jaws. Dramatickit dived into the den excitedly, his eyes shining. "Tell us a story!"
Creamykit bobbed her head up and down in agreement. "Yeah! A story a story!" she purred.
Spiritkit flicked her tail and sat down, her eyes twinkling with anticipation. "Please." she mewed, dropping the vole in front of her.
Her littermates caught her gaze and meowed together, "Yes! Please?"
Silverberry saw the distant shadows of two cats. Padding towards it, she realized it was Silvercloud and Autumnsky. "Hey guys-" She broke off when she saw Silvercloud's expression. "What's going on?" she mewed as she sat down next to Silvercloud, her pelt pressed against hers to give her warmth.
Owlpaw let out a slight hiss. He couldn't let her keep everything in. That would just hurt her deeper. Looking her straight in the eye, he mewed, "Amaryllispaw, tell me what's wrong. I promise you'll feel better. You'll worry me if you don't." He nuzzled her gently, his heart pounding with anxiety. It had to be something big, for Owlpaw saw the distant, wary look in Amarylisspaw's eyes.
