[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] Despite this first sign of civilization, Theo was a little disheartened. He moved forward to examine the sign, looking over the details for himself. '2 miles is still kinda far,' he complained, though wasn't against heading towards this Pottsfield.

'Well, I guess we should start moving, right?' He smiled and started walking towards the direction the sign pointed, finding that the path was a little more worn and most likely traveled. A big relief, considering they had been walking through wild forest brush before then.
'I've never heard of Pottsfield, though.'

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] 'I don't see what cooking has to do with fields. I guess the whole place could have a bunch of flower pots. Makes some sense,' Theo guessed, pulling at straws. He kept looking around as they continued to walk, feeling as if time was hurrying by. The sky was still light, so he guessed they had time left before it grew too dark. 'Hopefully they have a working phone. I don't know why a town would be anywhere near this place.'

    [fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] ahhh this looks really great (owo)
    [/fancypost]

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] Theo tried to avoid feeling anymore disheartened than he already was. When they finally reached the town and it's empty fields, he breathed a sigh of relief and smiled along with Arin's enthusiasm. Up until they saw how empty the fields were. The fact there were fields at all was enough to trouble him. 'At least we're here. Maybe they're done farming and all that,' he suggested. 'Should we go check things out?'

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] if you dont mind me asking, can you explain the years a little more and what ages should be in each of them?

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] 'Yeah, maybe.' Theo continued to walk, eyeing the many pumpkins that scattered the area as well as the empty barns that they were beginning to approach. He couldn't help but note the eerie feeling to this place, as if something would jump out of them any second. 'It isn't harvest time, though. Wasn't it supposed to be winter?'

    [fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] i'll add another character later

    Name:
    frey luka
    Age:
    nineteen
    Gender:
    male
    Personality:
frey may come off as a lazy and bored college student. he likes to do things on his own and isn’t unfamiliar to putting things off until the last minute. it helps keep other people off his back, after all, and most will initially brush him aside as an underachiever. what better way is there to stay under people’s radar?
when frey focuses his sights on a goal, however, he will do everything to reach it. he’s actually very clever and adept with computers, to the point where his skills are the envy of most programmers if they knew about it. he enjoys hacking and espionage, slipping into cracks and collecting information so he can use it later. frey rarely likes someone despite them having a good first impression and it takes time for him to fully grow accustomed to someone.
he also is quite good at lying and acting, which is how he avoids suspicion. it’s not uncommon to see him flirt or offer more than a passing kiss if it would turn out better for him in the end. pride or honor don’t mean much to frey either since his main goal is survival and to see what lies beyond the walls and the government’s own lies. since it’s just himself working towards this goal, he knows it can be a huge disadvantage but isn’t too bothered by it. he does like a good challenge, after all.
    Affiliation (Black Cats/Aven):
independent, but he’ll lean one way or another.
    Good/Neutral/Evil:
neutral, but may change over the course of the roleplay
    Sexual Orientation:
    pansexual demiromantic
    Crush:
    xxx
    History (optional):
    x
    Other:
    Zeta

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] Theo shrugged, agreeing with her statement. He was pretty lazy himself but managed to get stuff done anyways. He laughed as she imitated a high pitch voice while waving the pumpkin around. 'So everyone's lazy and a pumpkin? I guess they don't have any phones then,' he replied with a smile.
He hadn't noticed the music until Arin brought it up and turned to the barn which she pointed at. He felt a little wary but decided to brush aside his worries. There might be people around, after all. 'Let's go check it out,' he said as he started walking towards the barn.

posting that bit for reference reasons

yeah i see both sides of what ur saying. if we do the organization how about everyone's tricked into thinking theyre going with the 'good' guys before they learn that nope its actually an evil organization congrats life sucks sometimes. plus u have no choice and maybe everyone you love or are related to might dies so whoops. the organization can probably be for ultimate domination and maybe start sending kids off to missions to start messing stuff up. if someone wants to get rid of their character for example, they can say they went on a mission and didn't come back or whatever
but with the gov then everyone automatically assumes gov=good but gov can also be corruption and people doing stuff for money, so once that's figured out too then a lot of kids would be like do we go against the status quo or join with these other guys?? and if the gov wants to kill the other guys all & force them to do it and the organization is on the good side, then hhh

now that i think about it though, the organization would be better. they can be super untrustworthy and they definitely have a lot more liberty to be ruthless and cruel. but either way i call dibs on a spy kid. there has to be spies dude. spy kids.

but yeah i think the kids should be talented but also i'm all up for rich kids or overachievers who think this is just a super great high school. i don't know how to explain why the kids choose to go there other than they being unsuspecting citizens. the kids can eventually be separated into followers and rebels depending on who wants to leave/destroy the organization w their new powers and who wants to fight/is too scared to go against them.

we also need a name for the organization and the school too woop. we can just start calling the government the UN from now on also since its easier to type

    [fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] (( i just finished rewatching otgw and its still super good hhh ))

'Yeah, true,' Theo remarked. He walked towards the front of the barn and slid the door aside a little. Looking inside, he noticed a bunch of...people? He wasn't sure. Either way, they had pumpkin hats on and were dancing enthusiastically around. Other pumpkin things were playing instruments and seemed happy. 'Well, they're a happy lot,' he muttered. He looked at Arin and asked, 'Should we go in?'

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] Theo nodded and slipped in right after her. He kept near the walls, trying to avoid bumping into someone. It was pretty dark, though, so he nearly smacked into a pumpkin-headed person. He wasn't sure if it was a man or woman before it began speaking.
'Watch where you're going,' it gruffed, which caused Theo to raise his hands and back away quickly.
'Sorry, sorry,' he muttered, before glancing at Arin. 'Um, who should we ask?'

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] yup, the school is built for the organization and no one's the wiser. and well ofc the kids are gonna fight a few times. they shouldnt realize whats up until like a good way's into the rp. the missions though might give it away depending on what they'll be.
and yess ill keep the kid safe...ish (uwu)

kk we can put like a three or four kid restriction on who pays/applies depending on how many sign up. i'm guessing the talents would be like sports, arts, different subjects, etc. but correct me if im wrong. reminds me vaguely of dangan ronpa though hah

ill try thinking of something but no guarantees hhh

we'll probably need to start with a word though to make a good acronym.
from a little googe search all i could find was s.c.a.r.(Special Criminals And Renegades). i think mesa or soma might also be nice but i can't figure out a good acronym for it.
i think if we ultimately cant think of anything, we can go with just a name like ouroboros or cronos

as for the school, it could be like arcadia, westerly, or monroe academy/hall. something obscure but also that sounds right for a school. maybe add 'for the accomplished and talented' or something like that at the end.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] Theo surveyed the room quietly before looking towards the middle. He could see a long elongated figure dancing around along with a literal band of pumpkins playing an individual instrument. 'Maybe we should ask some of the people dancing nearby, unless you want to ask that guy first,' he whispered to her.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] Theo followed closely behind Arin, wading through the various joyful citizens dancing about. Now that he looked closer, he was a little fascinated by how different each looked. They all kinda mushed together at first, but various ones had either older or younger looking pumpkins. He guessed it signified age. Still, they all wore what looked like straw over their arms and legs and oddly enough on their hands. It started to freak him out a little so he looked back forward and stopped in front of the tall creature.
'Well, we need to get back home. Don't you have at least a phone we can use?' he asked, unnerved by the sudden quietness that lay over the room.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] (( since this is post-otgw story, can i add a couple little stops of my own? i had a couple ideas in mind of places they could stop at.
also, will the beast be in this rp? if not, i had another idea involving the black turtles from the series. ))

Theo nearly asked if they were Amish, but the creature's threatening words and Arin's great recommendation to run made him quickly back away from both the thing and his question. 'Ah, no. We just need a way to get home, thanks.' He turned around and saw the people start to cut off their exit. Shooting a worried glance at Arin, he nodded and started turning around, wanting to try running through the crowd.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] ok phew im not the only one (-w-;;) we might have to include that in the rules or emphasis in the summary that this is a school for kids who are good in academics, sports, and stuff like that. No SHSL Kimono Dancer or stuff like that.

yeah i agree, it took me a while to find something decent ugh. i think we can just finish up the other stuff and then decide on names near the end.

sure, like the minimun is 10 characters but the max amount is like 14 or 16. I think we should limit it to two or three characters per person though and equal-ish genders too (like no 100 girls:1 boy, tho there'll be other genders too so itll make things less extreme)
(owu) i was already planning to make my kid gay so ofc we can lol. plus im better at rping romance so we can definitely do some saucy angsty romance. would you mind if i used spy kid or should i make another character? i was thinking of having two anyways so its up to you.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] Relieved that Arin was guiding him through this, he sprinted quickly to follow her pace, hearing the pumpkin-headed citizens cry in outrage. He tried to avoid hitting the occasional pumpkin shards that his friend ran through, but at this point it was a little impossible to do so. 'Let's get back to the forest,' he said to her, his expression worried and scared.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] Theo kept close behind, feeling his tension ease away. He stole a look behind him and couldn't see the creatures at this point, thankfully. Honestly, he thought his heart would leap out of his chest. The whole scene earlier seemed ridiculous and he nearly wanted to believe it didn't happen. The pumpkin bits on his shoes suggested otherwise, though.
He ran a little forward when Arin stopped running and turned, seeing a literal skeleton hand holding onto her foot. His first reaction was to hurry over and try to stop on the arm's wrist, hoping it'll let go of her foot.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial;] Watching as the hand scampered off, Theo blinked and tried not to think much of it. That probably wasn't the weirdest thing they'd seen today. 'My first idea is that we obviously shouldn't ever go back there,' he suggested.
He pulled his scarf from his neck, feeling a little hot underneath the fabric. He unzipped his jacket before putting on the scarf a lot more loosely. 'Seriously though, I think we should keep walking. If there's a town here, then maybe we'll find another nearby?'
