He huffed softening. He opened his mouth to protest, but he realized his answer wouldnt fit properly...he wasnt sure how he could explain it. He sank his claws into the soil his eyes traveling anywhere arround the she-cat. " well, uh..." he hesitated shifting on his paws.

He shifted on his paws. that was just good luck he whispered to himself. Instead of challanging the winded warrior he decided to praise her. " well, done...i guess you really could outbeat me in hunting" he meowed with a slight chuckle his tail curling around his paws. " er...mabe we should continue heading back" he murmered his ears pointing behind him. He sat up picking up his catch and padded a few fox-lengths away then waited patiently for the she-cat.

He gave a quick nodded and continued padding. does she not like me? he thought concerned. He dragged the rabbit trying to get a good grip again. Lifting his chin up, his tail lashed he ground as he looked around for any signs of camp. He saw the entranceof the camp ahead with the corner of his eye and quickened his glancing behind him making sure the she-cat was able to catch up. He began to slow down to match SilverMist's and a small smile flickered behing the tuft of the rabbit, But before she noticed he stopped and with a short huff he looked straight ahead. " Here we are" he meowed prancing through the camp entrance.

He shot his head towards her and smiled. A new feeling rushed over him as soon as they touched. keeping his gaze for a few minutes, he then quickly snapped out of it and padded over to the fresh-kill pile dropping his rabbit and then facing her.

He settled down next to her his fur brushing slightly against her's. He reached over tearing a piece of flesh from the rabbit's hind leg and taking time to eat it breaking down all the tough meat. does she have feelings for me? he wondered looking over at her.

He sighed . I think im scaring her off now...he told himself shaking his head. He stood up briefly looking down at his paws. " Im sorry, wasnt trying to scare you off...it's just i wasnt sure if i could simplifiy it enough...without sounding cowardly" he spoke softness returning to his eyes.

He sensed her movements were shaky. Droping his gaze, he took another quiet bite of the rabbit with a quick sniff of the carcass. Am i doing something wrong?...he thought fearfully. His tail flinched at the thought and he quickly continued finishing his lasts bits of the Rabbit leftovers.

He smiled at her laugh blinking softly. Her smile...he thought recovering from his fearful nightmares. He watched her carefully as the sun ray's bounded off her glowing pelt of sunshine. Beautiful...he thought once again licking his white dappled chest fur a few times.

He dropped his head. " i know..." he whispered under his breath. " this just isnt a good time for any of us" he beckoned with his tail and got up quickly padding away. what a fool I am...he murmered to himself. He didnt want to look back at the pretty she-cat, he messed up any chance he was planning to get with her. theres no turning back now...he huffed wishing he never made that mistake.

A felt a sudden force tug down on his leg. Confused, he peered underneath him to investigate, but by the time he chose this decision he was already flipped over facing the bright blue sky. " ok, I have to admit you have got to teach me that move!" he purred in laughter rising to his feet.

He paused but didnt say anything. He admired the coments said about him...but he didnt get the last word. So far, it didnt matter to him. " um, how about we get some rest, it's been a busy day" he meowed beckoning his tail towards the entranc eof the warrior's den. As he finished he padded over to the mouth of the den and slipped under it's fallen shadows.

Watching SilverMist, He pranced over towards the cold corner and settled down next to her close enough to be face-to face. He looked into her eyes and a warming purr began to rumble in his throat. He got into a comfortable position resting his head on her back and covering half of her body with his warmth.
