"Do you know how dangerous it could be waiting here?" Heatherblossom asked. "Alright, I'll get the herbs." Heatherblossom raced to the medicine den to grab the comfrey, thyme, cobwebs, and poppy seeds. She raced back out extra carefully, and was about to get started on Jaystreak's wounds, when she thought she should let Jaystreak decide whether or not she wanted to get treated. She might not trust Heatherblossom, and Heatherblossom would let her decide whether she wanted to trust her or not.

Swirlstream padded out of the medicine den. "Nice day we're having, right, Fawnstar?" she asked, going to get a squirrel from the freshkill pile.

Swirlstream looked at Fawnstar. Is something wrong? she wondered. Death of a warrior or close friend? Swirlstream shook her head. It was probably nothing.

Heatherblossom blinked. I thought that was going to happen. Jaystreak doesn't trust me, but why should I be surprised? She probably won't trust me, because I'm not the medicine cat! Heatherblossom thought miserably.

Okay, comfrey might have been out of the question, but doesn't she seem shocked? Doesn't she need thyme, or something? She at least needs poppy seeds, to ease the pain!

Swirlstream finished her squirrel, and padded over to Fawnstar. "Are you okay?" Swirlstream asked. She was the medicine cat, she knew how to help, but Fawnstar looked sad. "What's wrong?" she asked.
