Veronica smiled at him then looked at the violin. She closed the door then turned back to him. She took a deep breath and raised the violin and bow up to play. She closed her eyes and began to play. She played perfectly and beautifully, her fingers moving quickly and flowing with the music.

Veronica opened her eyes as she came to the end of the song. She finished playing and stood there for a minute before she lower the bow and violin. She took another deep breath as she lowed the violin. She placed the violin back in the case. "I've won several contests playing, I was even invited to go to Europe and play...." She said as she put her violin away.

Veronica smiled a little, blushing just slightly. She slid the case back under her bed then sat next to him. "I almost went... But that was when things changed... Something in Jacob just snapped and he kept me from going... He's never been the same..." She said looking down. "But, that's all in the past." She said and smiled at him, trying to hide her pain, as she always did.

Veronica looked at him then looked down. She sat there quietly for a while then began to speak. "You say that, but the old Jacob said that too... He said he'd never hold me back, that he would always be by my side... But no one expected what happened to happen...." She said taking her hands out of his.

"Got any good movies to watch?" I asked and looked up at her as she thought. "I'm sure we can find some sappy love story to watch, or maybe some action movies. I think action sounds better, who wants to think about love at a time like this." She said as she got up and I smiled then followed. We went downstairs and into the living room. I sat on the couch as she picked out a few movies and turned one on. After she turned it on she grabbed a blanket and sat done next to me putting the blanket over both of us.

I looked at the door when I heard him knock and my sister paused the movie. "Who's that?" I asked starting to get up to answer it. "Maybe its him." She said and I stopped sitting back down. "Will you answer it Alice?" I asked and she sighed and got up. She walked over to the door and opened it, not surprised that it was him. "She doesn't want to see you." She said as she looked at him. I sunk into the couch, pulling the blanket over my head, hoping he'd just go away.

Alice took the box and opened it looking at the necklace. "Dang, that's a pretty nice necklace." She said. "But you're still an *sshole." She said with a slight smirk. "I know exactly what happened, and I bet you were drunk, but that's no excuse. You're the one who went to the party, you're the one who was drinking, and under aged might I add." She said and the smirk was gone. "But, what happens with this and with you is not my decision. You really seamed like a nice guy when I met you." She said glancing over at me. "Chuck?" I sighed when she said my name, knowing exactly what she meant and I really should, but I just didn't want to get up and face him. I pulled the blanket down and looked at her, I could see him standing there and I looked down.

Alice walked over, dropping the box in my lap. I picked it up and looked at the necklace, it really was beautiful. I looked at at her and she glanced at him then looked back at me and I sighed as I got up. I didn't want to see him, I didn't want to be near him, but that would never fix anything. I got up and walked over to the door. I looked at him, then looked down, I couldn't say anything, I didn't have anything to say to him anyway.

"I-I...." I started to talk and glanced up at him then looked back down. Alice leaned on the couch as she watched us. "I could never sell it..." I said looking at the box in my hands. "I could never hate you... I'm upset over what happened... But I just couldn't hate you..."

"Hate and anger are not what I feel though..." I said glancing up at him. "I loved you... I still love you.... I just could never hate you..." I said and looked back down. "I'm upset and I don't know that I can forgive you, but that'll never change the fact that I fell in love with you..." I said.

"Than you make better decisions, come on would you two make up already." Alice said and I turned and glared at her. "Would you be quiet." I said and she smirked at my reaction.

I looked at him then looked down. "I don't know..." I mumbled and Alice sighed quietly. She stood up and walked past us, lightly pushing me. I stumbled into him and my cheeks grew red.

I looked up at him and nodded, blushing, then I looked down. Alice smirked and continued towards the kitchen.

"I-I'd have to get dressed... I'm not really ready to go anywhere..." I said still looking down.

"I'll just be a few minutes... Come in if you want..." I said then started walking away. I walked into the kitchen and Alice smiled at me. "What the heck was that?" I said in a hushed voice. "Hey, it helped didn't it?" She said and I lightly hit her on the arm. "Hurry up, don't leave him waiting." She said and I went upstairs to my room and changed clothes. I looked in the mirror and pulled my hair back into a ponytail.

I put the necklace on then hid it under my shirt. I slipped on some shoes, grabbed my bag and my phone and left my room, going downstairs.

I nodded as I walked over to him, blushing slightly at his complement. "Don't stay out too long." Alice said standing in the door way of the kitchen.

Alice smiled and watched them go. I followed him then got in the car. She closed the door then walked into the living room. "So much for our movie night." She said as she sat down and turned the movie back on.

"Nothing important." I said and smiled at him a little.
