Katie sat on the floor crying. blood was running down her arm. her father was drunk yet again. he was lashing out at her. she ran out of the house into the snow. she fell to her knees hoping no one would see her there.

Zach heard what was going on and went out to find the princess.

Zach fell to the ground and looked up, "Where have you been?" he whispered in his cute accent

"Its okay, i wont tell anyone. it will be our little secret." he eyes sparkled.

"Its totally fine." he said smiling. "Uh... we should get back inside..."

She looked up and hid her injured arm. "Sure." she said while wiping away tears.

she pointed to the house behind her.

"Trying to get away from my drunk dad." she said.

"Okay." she said.

she got in the car and cradled her still bleeding arm.

Kathryn looked around for someone to talk to. she grabbed her pom poms.
