from the corner of his eye, jin watched the other man begin to apply the pink lip balm. maybe it would be incredibly adorable to see him with pink lips.. the korean tried not to think about it too much, though. besides, his ‘fiance’ shouldn’t even try and look too far into this. jin wasn’t trying to make any friendships while he was here. not even from some guy from his agency that was supposed to be all that. you know, maybe it was a bit annoying that his very own rival was here. maybe it was a bit more annoying knowing that this man was younger than him, and was about ready to accomplish the same things that jin had done. it was frustrating because jin had made this his whole life- no friends, no family, nothing outside of his job was even relevant to him nowadays. it was frustrating because addison didn’t make this job his whole life- he still had friends, he was still happy-go-lucky and bright and cheerful. it was frustrating because, if addison got that opportunity, why couldn’t jin still have that opportunity? he could be with his parents, his ex(?)-girlfriend.. maybe addison had a girlfriend. he had everything that jin could’ve possibly wanted, all while getting to excel at the very job that jin had made his entire life. perhaps if he weren’t so committed to his role in espionage, he would have met someone from their office. i mean, samantha was always flirting with him. and there were a lot of people that made eyes at him. however, he didn’t have time to think about that when all he could think about was how they’d probably get taken away from him, anyway. just like everything else he’d ever known.

which was why he wasn’t getting close to the vietnamese man, who was currently fixing his makeup in the bathroom. even as he shot a playful - was it supposed to be playful or adorable? - smirk his way and started to chuckle at his own teasing statement. was jin sung-lee actually curious about addison for once? he pondered over the other’s words for a moment, as if genuinely thinking about it (which he was not). “i don’t know, you tell me. am i?” that was probably the best, most vague answer the korean could give. he liked it that way, especially when he didn’t quite know the answer to the question, himself. the agent could’ve lied and said he was interested in the makeup, that would’ve been his response to anyone else. although he wouldn’t admit it, however, he was finding himself getting kind of attached to the vietnamese in front of him. part of him, for now, would try and deny it. say that was merely his character, the kim part of him getting a bit too obsessed in the role as the other man’s fiance. when he once considered the other man getting killed and not being too bothered by it, he found something crawl underneath his skin. a hot, sinking feeling that started in his chest and ran through him all the way to his toes and the tips of his fingers. protectiveness, he quickly decided. but why, why for this guy, out of all people? why not for someone that wasn’t his rival, that he just met off of the street? he was shaken from his thoughts by addison’s words. “doesn’t your face look just as bright without it?” then again jin didn’t understand what ‘brighter’ meant when it came to makeup. or how it was achieved. he could only assume it was a good thing. at least he hoped.

he should try putting some on sometime? the question was enough to blow his mind, honestly. jin hadn’t ever thought about putting makeup on, before. hell, the agent probably didn’t even know the first thing, what to do-- he probably wouldn’t even match his skin tone correctly if he were given the choice. though the other’s offer was enough to make him pause, only to give a slight nod of his head. “sure. i don’t see why not. maybe in our downtime.” he still seemed a bit hesitant about the idea, but maybe he was actually trying to be a good guy. why he was even caring to be nice to the other was a mystery to him. perhaps it was because it would make this whole mission a lot easier for the two of them. the idea of spending the next couple of weeks with someone he hated definitely didn’t sound ideal. and. okay, it was a possibility that jin was fairly curious about how he looked in makeup. i mean, it seemed to accentuate addison’s features quite well. the taiwanese man’s eyes seemed that much brighter, his skin looking so healthy, his lips -oh, his lips.. the dark-haired agent shook his head of those thoughts almost immediately. seriously, what was wrong with him? why couldn’t he stop thinking about the other in that sort of way? the agent quickly decided that he needed to focus more on the work, less on being all buddy-buddy with his partner. jin always had been independent, always focused on his own well-being so that others stopped getting in his way. it shouldn’t be any different with this guy around, either. this was merely all a piece of his job, and getting close to someone.. it wasn’t worth it, no matter how protective he was of this bright little twerp.

those momentary thoughts were sent crumbling after a wink and airy laugh was sent his way. damn it, dang. he was going to kill him over this. as he was changing, he knew that addison saw him changing. perhaps he was even thinking a bit too into the other’s reaction. now, jin definitely wasn’t ashamed of his body. i mean, why should he be? he’d worked hard and conditioned himself for this kind of body. this was the body that he earned from running every morning and working out during the night. it wasn’t like he was a muscular freak, though. his frame was very lean, very toned-- not like he was bulging muscle with big arms and muscular legs. he could probably take some people down if he needed to. as addison trailed off a bit before slowly finishing their sentence, jin gave a small nod of his head. “what’re you staring at?” now he was only giving the other a really, really hard time of course. he didn’t mean anything by his words-- if anything, he was just telling the other that he knew that he was staring. he wouldn’t say too much about it, though. just give him that brief moment of panic or whatever. with a small - amused? - roll of his eyes, he went back and finished putting on his clothes. oh. this was too great. the older agent would definitely enjoy himself getting the other hot and bothered so often. or at least he felt like he’d enjoy it..

he hated to say the words that had left his mouth. he really hated it. his cheeks were already turning a bright red just slightly at the thought of what he was proposing. “addison, i shouldn’t be that hard to figure out,” he found himself say, as if he didn’t want to say it out loud. for a top agent, he definitely couldn’t connect the dots too well.. though he realized then he was just scolding the other out of his own embarrassment. to jin it made perfect sense. i mean, it was best to have an awkward first kiss in the privacy of their room than to have an awkward first kiss outside there in front of all of those people. they’d certainly start to suspect something was up, he knew that. why couldn’t addison see that? “i’m saying we should kiss. here, now.” he waited a moment before taking a deep breath. “it’ll be awkward, i know. but it’s just so we don’t look suspicious out there.” that much seemed to make sense, right? he caught his lower lip between his lip for a moment before shaking his head. “well, are you going to or not?”

ooc: ooomgggg i loved that scene aaaaah

their future arguments will be so great oml i’m ready

yes! jin will be pissed because they could’ve gotten more info but addi went and f-ed it all up!

jin always figured that having a friend wasn’t easy. he’d always figured that having to talk to someone, have forced conversation and pretend to like someone, it would be more of a pain than anything. sure, maybe he wouldn’t be pretending to like a friend since they were, well, a friend… but it still didn’t seem like a task that jin wanted to give himself. friends were hindrances; friends held you back. now, however, this small bit of a friendship (if the korean dared to even call it that) wasn’t as difficult as he’d once considered. it hadn’t seemed like forced conversation, some boring activity that the agent forced himself into to lose track of time. actually, as a matter of fact, this little conversation was so easy, so light. there’d been no awkward skirting around, no careful feet treading lightly. just a simple conversation. suddenly, jin was thinking that having a friend wouldn’t be so bad, after all… but no. he couldn’t think like that. there was no way he’d allow himself to think about even having a friend. if he could have a friend, then he would have his parents and his old relationships back. with this job, it almost felt like he wasn’t allowed to have friends outside of work. how addi managed to have friends, how addi managed to hang out with people without a care in the world.. it was amazing to jin. maybe he didn’t have the same losses as jin. some people did and some people didn’t. either way, how he could be happy being practically invisible in most scenarios. it at least made playing the part in all of these roles he’d been given. he would do anything to make sure he kept this job-- because what else did he possibly have left for him? this job had become his life and, if anything happened for him to lose it, then he would just.. cease to exist, he liked to think. not being a spy meant losing all that was left in his life. and, damn it, jin definitely wasn’t going to let it happen. even if addi messed this up for them.

the thought was enough for him to turn his eyes towards the other agent. he looked at the taiwanese man, thinking about just how badly things could go with this man. sure, he seemed a bit too happy-- but perhaps that would pay off for the two of them in some instances of this case. he didn’t want to mistake addison’s happy nature for being careless, but part of him was worried he’d do something to worsen this whole thing. now.. to be honest, was jin serious when he’d made that threat to the other agent, and said that he would make his life a living hell if he messed this up? honestly. maybe he hadn’t been kidding about it, actually. it wasn’t something that addison needed to know, though-- he was fairly sure the other agent was fairly educated on the subject that jin didn’t play around. usually he was dead serious. which was why he could feel his face flushing slightly at the words that had left his mouth. what the hell had he even been trying to say? i mean, i guess he was meaning that the other looked perfectly fine without makeup.. that wasn’t even something that he should be embarrassed to say, though. why he got so worked up over something as simple as how some guy looked without makeup-- even when he hadn’t seen the other without makeup. there was simply something about how soft his skin looked, or how his lips looked soft and plump enough.. dear god, what was wrong with him? he caught his lip between his teeth for a moment- only to be knocked off his train of thought the moment the other started to talk. oh, he couldn’t help but scoff at his words. a train wreck? didn’t that seem like a bit much? “uh-huh. guess we’ll see about that when you have to take all of your makeup off.” though, if the other was going to be laying in the same bed as him - he still shuddered at the sight of the ceiling mirror - he was going to try his best to not look at him. it would get him too flustered, and this sexual tension that he may or may not be feeling.. he wasn’t looking forward to it now that he actually thought about it.

oh. oh he’d definitely been caught staring. the thought was enough for his deadpan expression to crack briefly, amusement suddenly shining in his gaze, and a small, all-knowing smirk on his lips. “i hope you’re better at lying than that when you’re on the job,” he found himself observe, eyeing the other for a moment before turning his gaze away and towards the cuffs of his suit. the man then hesitated for a moment before saying in return, “you look nice in your suit, too.” maybe the other wouldn’t think that much of it, seeing as it was merely a returned compliment, but jin actually meant it. the taiwanese man looked so damn hot in that suit. if this man wasn’t his rival of sorts, maybe he would’ve tried and made some sort of move. it had been forever since jin had went around and found a partner he’d actually been interested. usually, the only action he’d gotten was during these types of missions. you’d be surprised how many times someone had to flirt with some random woman to try and get information. sometimes going as far as to sleep with them worked, too -- but jin had only had to do that once. and that’s because that said woman had been hard to pry open. part of him kind of wished he didn’t have to resort to that kind of thing. part of him kind of wished that he got to actually experience some sort of romance, instead of having to try and look through some fake feelings.

it was still embarrassing to see someone appear so.. disgusted with the thought of kissing him. it was kind of insulting, jin decided. “well. yeah, right now. we need to get going to the gala soon.” what? did he mentally have to prepare himself for something as simple as a kiss? it wasn’t like he was going to make out with him or something. what was so wrong with something as simple as a kiss? “c’mon. you’re not addison, and i’m not jin. you’re bon-hwa and i’m min-joon. newlyweds,” he tried to reason- because, damn, the other’s closed shut eyes and furrowed brows, his hands balled into fists… it made jin feel a little like shit, if he had to be honest. why it made him feel so offended seemed a little pathetic, but who the hell wouldn’t be? still, he couldn’t help but grimace slightly before moving forward to close the distance between the two of them. this whole thing felt wrong and forced-- but when it was on the job, he supposed that was how he always felt. he gently moved his hands up to lightly cup the other’s face in his, and jin hesitated a long moment before leaning forward to press his lips against addison’s. and it.. well, it wasn’t quite what he’d been expecting. the older agent couldn’t decide how exactly it made him feel. sure, he felt a bit like shit asking the other for something like this-- but it was the world of espionage. these kinds of things were expected from agents. how could the other be climbing up the ladder in ranks if he could barely handle something as simple as a kiss? maybe the other wasn’t gay and wasn’t prepared to have to do something as ‘disgusting’ as kissing another man. jin didn’t know. either way, he didn’t care. again, he’d be damned if he let dang mess this all up for him. yet, while he did feel that disgust.. there was still that slight thrill-- which he immediately defended happened with every single kiss he’d ever had.

it wasn’t long of a kiss, jin having moved away after the kiss. alright. so now the initial awkwardness was over. hopefully? “if you act like that every time before i kiss you, i’m going to kill you.” oh. shit. well. so much for being the nice guy. it had been nice while it lasted, he supposed. as he said it, though, he could see addison’s eyes, and how close he was. and how he was still gently cupping the other’s face in his hands. trying not to flush, he moved his hands away from the other’s face and settled for awkwardly shuffling over towards the door. “you know-- we should-- the gala.” wow. jin couldn’t remember the last time he’d stumbled over his words before. he cleared his throat and tried to gain his composure before offering, “we should head down to the gala. i bet people are already down there.” so with that, he opened the door-- and, when addison came to stand beside him, he didn’t want time in taking the other’s hand in his as they headed down the hall towards the immaculate ballroom.

    //ooc: it’s perfectly fine!!

also omggg addi’s family seems so loving i can see them loving all over addi and jin and jin’s just like “what?? is wrong with these? people/??”

“do you really want to miss this fashion show all for some honeymoon?”

lee couldn’t help but laugh at the words on the other line, shaking his head in amusement. “uh, yeah?” honestly, fashion shows could wait if he had the choice. his schedule was lined with photoshoots and fashion shows that required waking up early in the morning and heading over to have makeup and all kinds of things put on his face and body. why anyone would say a couple weeks with the looove of his life was less important was a mystery to him.

“but everyone loves you, darling! i’m sure your husband wouldn’t mind tagging along.” her voice was dripping with some kind of desperation, but lee was used to hearing those kinds of things from his manager. what he really wanted, though, was to get off the phone and try and find wherever jaehwan was. knowing him, he was probably lost.

“yeah, but--” his eyes caught on a familiar figure bounding over towards him, unable to keep from grinning at the sight. “gotta go. text me later?”

    “lee wai--”

he’d already hung up, just in time to hear his husband loudly singing, loud enough for all of the airport to hear. he couldn’t help but allow a few fits of laughter to slip past his lips as he dramatically joined in.

slumping back in the airport chair, he put the back of his hand against his forehead. “oh, my hero! i didn’t think i was gonna make it! how could i ever repay you, angel?” and with that he had snatched a drink he was sure was for himself. the frappe was definitely lukewarm--- but caffeine was caffeine for the twenty-seven-year-old man. taking a large gulp, he sighed in content. there were still a few passersby that seemed confused by whatever the hell had just happened between the pair, risking a handful of strange looks but nothing more than that. damn straight. if anyone tried to mess with the two of them, then lee would probably flip out. jet-lag was already killing him, trying to adjust to a completely different time zone. how he hadn’t passed out while waiting for his hot hubby to get here was a mystery to him.

their luggage was sitting beside them - after waiting hours to get it claimed because of course something had gone wrong - and all lee wanted to do was get the hell out of this airport. his head turned to look at the rock that jae mentioned, though, and a smile was quick to come to his lips. “where the hell did you even get a rock like this?” he hummed, holding his hand out to gently take the rock. it was beautiful; all kinds of brilliant swirls of purple.

he rolled it between his fingers a few times before slowly forcing himself to get up. “alright, hubby of mine, let’s get to our hotel. and have the most intense cuddles.” because how else would anyone want to start off their honeymoon in paris besides a whole bunch of cuddles and chocolates, the whole sha-bang?

//////omg this is so short but i'm so ready

and you're fine! i took forever, too!!!

the kiss had been different. that was the only way he could describe it. maybe it was given the odd circumstance, but he’d been in positions like this before and there was never that spark, or that rush of heat throughout him. he had been tempted to kiss those lips for forever. and he probably could’ve-- would’ve, had all of those feelings not left him so overwhelmed. jin felt short of breath as he gazed at the other agent, dark eyes searching his face for anything that would’ve showed he felt the same way. i mean, addi had melted under his touch the moment jin’s fingertips were placed on his face.. surely, he couldn’t be disgusted by something if he’d relaxed that easily. right? as he searched his face, though, he felt like that was the case. there was the deep red flushing addi’s cheeks, tinting them an adorable shade of rose.. wait-- an adorable shade of rose? what the hell was wrong with him? he was mentally cursing himself, even as he couldn’t stop staring at the other. the threat he’d made wasn’t even to be taken seriously; it was his defense mechanism. something he’d used to try and push others away. the moment addison had finally lifted his chocolate orbs and locked eyes with jin, though, that thread was merely a thought in the back of his mind. his whiskey gaze lingered, and for a moment he was leaning forward, slowly-- but the moment he realized where they were, what they were supposed to be doing, he pulled away. damn. what the hell was this other agent doing to him? did he not notice the heat flooding to jin’s face, or the way he was all kinds of flustered? how could he not hear the beating of the korean’s heart when it felt like it was ringing in his ears? it was just a kiss, that’s what he had to remind himself.

the older agent had been so lost in his thought - a weakness that had never occurred until now, of all times- that it had barely registered in his mind when addi touched him. his eyes flickered over towards in him slight shock, unsure what the hell the taiwanese man was doing. even as he explained himself, all jin could do was take a deep breath, regain his composure, and manage straight face. “right. thank you.” maybe the sight of the other’s lip gloss on jin’s own would’ve made this whole act more convincing. i mean, who could believe that the two of them were married? he tried to keep those thoughts, those more mission-related thoughts on his mind. it made it easier to muster that wall back up, to hide his actual feelings from the world like he was so used to doing. because addison was tearing at him, and he felt like the idiot was doing it on purpose. who else would look at him like that? and nobody had ever melted so easily into a kiss, before, had gripped his shoulder in that sort of way, almost begging not to let go. it was obviously getting to jin. so becoming the jin everyone knew was his only true defense; go back to being like a ‘robot’ as some people mocked him as. as they walked down the hall, he gripped the other’s hand like he refused to let him go. if asked about it, he’d probably say it was just that; that if the other went off on his own, he’d surely fuck this whole mission up. truth was, it was simply reassuring to have a hand to hold onto during these high-risk missions.

once they made it to the ballroom, he forced himself to drop this straight-faced persona. instead, an easy, charming smile came to his lips as they entered. and, god, the place was extravagant. who knew what ugly, dark secrets this beautiful place was hiding inside of it. whatever it was, the two of them would have to get to the bottom of it, and soon (because jin honestly didn’t know how much more he could take). his gaze flickered over towards the approaching couple, letting his warm gaze look at them. they seemed like they knew something. maybe they could find a way to talk to them, get some details from them.. karen and gabriel santiago… he put those names into the back of his mind as he looked at them and-- oh. gabriel was definitely making eyes towards him. sure, jin didn’t have girlfriends lining up at the door for him (that he was aware of) but he knew that sultry look when he saw it. and so, to go along with the part - this man could give them some juicy information if they played their cards right - he suggested, “say, we don’t know a lot of other people, here. but i think it would be nice to.” he glanced between the two of them, though made sure his gaze lingered on gabriel a moment longer. “would you care to have dinner with us after the gala?” karen seemed to not notice the look her husband was sending jin’s way, as she politely clapped her hands together. “oh, really? that would be lovely. don’t you think so, gabe?” the spaniard nodded his head, a dark excitement in his eyes that jin couldn’t describe if he wanted to. after that, they discussed plans on where to meet - apparently there was a really good dining hall in the hotel as well - and with that, the pair parted ways.

jin offered a small wave to them as they left, noticing gabriel’s lingering gaze- and a fucking wink. a wink. the dark-haired male decided to play the flustered card, his eyes quickly looking away, a light flush coming to his cheeks as he sent a bashful glance back in his direction. that seemed to do the trick for gabriel, who smiled back before turning to kiss the top of his wife’s head. huh. maybe this would be easier than he thought. casually, he turned his head to whisper in the other’s ear, “they seem to know a lot of important information. let’s try and get it out of them at dinner.” might as well have been stating the obvious, but still. feeling some gazes on them, he followed his words by pressing a caring kiss to addison’s cheek, trying not to start blushing at the intimacy, the kindness in the act. because, wow, maybe this actually wasn’t going to be easier than he thought. his eyes wandered around, noticing that people weren’t mingling anymore, and more so were heading towards the large space to dance. that was enough for him to hum in content. ah. ballroom dancing; what was possibly better?

“ever danced, before?” he asked, not even waiting for a response as he started to lead them over towards the floor. once they were mixed in with all of the dancing, happy couples, he decided now was as good a time as any. stepping closer to addi-- bon-hwa, bon-hwa damn it, he lifted their hands and held them out, and placed his other hand on the small of addison’s back as they started to dance-- jin careful to take it slow because the last thing he wanted was to have his toes stepped on.

//////aye! sorry for the late reply i’ve been so busy but now i’m not!! and i have so much muse for these two!!!

also, i was thinking that maybe after the date, and jin goes and saves addi, and after he fixes up his injuries, maybe jin kisses addi again? and it leads to a hot makeout sesh??

but then after its over the two of them just refuse to speak about it??

    bc omg yes

those were all the ones i could find ;-; if you look through some on tumblr and find some you like!! tell me!!!

“let me go! please! i have children!” the woman’s cries meant nothing to alex as he tugged her along. the other three of his group had split, gone off towards other buildings in the small town. it was wrong to call them his group, though. i mean, they’d only been with each other for about, ten years? how can you trust someone you’d just met? well, either way, alex decided that was the best choice he’d had at the time. he got in trouble with his previous coven for sparing the life of some pathetic twerp-- er. but that’s besides the point. besides, all of them made this chase fun. there wasn’t any other clan of vampires who would kidnap humans and drag them to an abandoned town? it got the humans’ adrenaline pumping, making the vampire’s feast all that more delectable. there wasn’t any way for people to know what was going on, either; most of the people they killed were nobodies, people that went underneath the radar.

“you want me to let go?”

alex asked this as they neared his building, a three-story building, a devious smirk on his lips. “how about this. let’s play a little game, shall we?” he kicked open the door, throwing her inside. the blonde stumbled and fell to the ground, staring up at him with big, blue, terrified eyes. he couldn’t help but smirk, raising a brow. “what are you waiting for?” baring his fangs, he gave a menacing hiss, “run!” and, by god, he’d never seen a woman get up and run so quickly before. she ran deeper into the building, screaming and crying. all alex did was roll his eyes.

the vampire leaned against the doorway, deciding to be nice and give her a head start. twenty, nineteen, eighteen… he heard her steps going up to the second floor. ooh. bad choice. ten, nine, eight.. moments later and he heard her steps going up to the third floor. huh. he gave her a chance; guess she hadn’t thought to check if there was a back door to this place. three, two, one… with that he was standing up and dashing with incredible speed up the stairs. it hadn’t even been five or six seconds before he was already on the same floor as her. the poor woman turned her head to see him standing there, and she shrieked before running into a random room. he barely resisted the urge to roll his eyes. humans. how they ever thought of themselves as a superior race, he'd never know.

“aw, that was no fun, doll. you didn’t even try and leave the building.” her eyes seemed wide at the fault in her actions, her eyes starting to well with tears as she backed up into the wall opposite the door. alex merely hummed nonchalantly to himself as he strolled over. in a swift second he had her pinned against the wall. with a satisfied smirk, he grazed the side of his hand against the side of her face-- tilted her head to the side to look at the beautiful artery on her neck.. “please, please don-” her words were cut off by fangs sinking into her skin. it was like she was suddenly muted, unable to speak or make any sort of sound as the life was drained from her body. how cute… the thought only made him sink his teeth even further, absolutely loving the taste of blood swarming into his mouth.

he didn’t have long to think about that, though, as his hand was suddenly fucking slashed. all he could do was hiss in pain, turning to face the perpetrator while simultaneously clutching at his hand. oh. some sort of hunter, was he? his whiskey gaze steeled, eyes turning a dangerous red-- because, alex could control himself, but when someone just goes and tries to ruin your meal, you get a little pissed. it wasn’t until the other said his name that he visibly hesitated, eyes turning back to their whiskey hue in a split second. had this asshole just said-- “how do you know my name?” how did someone, a human, no less, know his name? that should be.. that had to be impossible.

when asked if he was okay, he tensed and shrunk back, still in a guarded stance. “as okay as i can be when some hunter interrupts my dinner and, you know, tries to murder me.” his voice was surprisingly cool, calm. i mean, he’d been alive for centuries at this point; he could keep his temper. still, seeing as the other was on the defensive, he settled for turning his gaze down to his hand. great, he was bleeding; all this work he’d put into finding a meal would be a waste with all of this blood loss. his jaw locked in annoyance before turning to the other.

and, honestly, he was so confused. all he knew to do next was try and defend himself. with his good hand, he moved, lightning quick, to pin the human against a nearby well. “now, tell me, who are you?”

    ((it was great!!

and, i was thinking maybe the two part ways, and sam pretends that he did kill alex?

but then alex just won’t stop following sam around?

like he’d be strolling through the streets and there’s alex at a cafe, sipping on his coffee and watching him.

maybe even sneaking into his place?? like, after they part ways?))

oh, god. he could feel the hunter’s pulse growing quicker and quicker. did this guy not realize who he was talking to? his heart racing like that was doing all kinds of things to the vampire’s senses, so many things that it was hard to concentrate on what the other was saying. what he had managed to catch, however, was his name. samuel.. the name rung a bell, but honestly alex didn’t remember what it was. he had to have met a lot of sam’s or samuel’s over his lifetime… what made this one think that he was so special? his whiskey eyes stayed locked on sam’s, though the more the other’s heart started to beat, he seriously felt like he was going to drain him of life before--

the hunter must’ve shoved him just at the right time in his moment of weakness, for he let go of sam. his brows furrowed, only to snap his head towards the window. the sound of gunshots. “those fucking bastards…” he muttered under his breath because, yeah, he just realized that he was all alone again. sure, he’d only known them for ten years, but they had sort of become a family over all of those years.. his hurt gaze fixed on sam, and he was tempted to kill this motherfucker, get back at his group because, damn it, vampires had feelings just like humans. even though their hearts weren’t beating, it didn’t mean they didn’t have one. as the other turned to him again, though, and explained some things..

damn it. he couldn’t do it. he couldn’t kill him. it seemed like sam’s response was the same… he didn’t have anything left to say as the hunter left. alex even stood and watched from the window as sam scrambled into the car, along with the rest of his posse. he locked his jaw and turned his head away, waiting for the sound of the car to be a distant humming in the back of his mind before making his way throughout the town. sure enough, as he looked through the buildings, there wasn’t anyone in his family alive. he felt anger, felt hurt, felt sad..

all that he could do was stare in the direction the car had came from, pick up the familiar scent of that kid, samuel, and start rushing in that direction.

(tbh i just see sam opening the door to his house and there’s alex like, chilling on the sofa like "oh hello there sweetie"

yah i feel like vampires in this thread can blend in with humans

humans sucked at covering their tracks. that was something alex decided as he slowed down, shoving his hands in his pockets once he reached a city. if you didn’t want to become someone’s midnight snack, why make a loud, bustling place full of life that drew all of the attention to you? he took a discreet sniff of the air as he stepped onto the pavement, pausing for a moment before turning in the direction of the stranger’s scent. also, if humans didn’t want to be tracked, why did they make it so easy to hunt them down? he could smell this sam guy from a mile away. or, well, a bit less of a mile, seeing as the stranger was heading into a convenience store.

he slowed to a stop-- but it was him taking another deep breath of air that deterred him. humans.. i mean, seriously, he could smell sam’s home right from where he stood; the sweet scent showing how often he’d wandered these streets to get to his home. that caused him to smirk as he headed over towards the said home, only pausing once he got to the apartment. his eyes wandered around the place, frowning when he realised that this wasn’t nearly as easy as he thought it would be. with a small groan he settled for placing a hand on the door, waiting only a moment before kicking it open. luckily, it didn’t break into a million pieces; if anything, it looked fairly intact. alex smirked to himself in triumph as he closed the door behind him-- which, thank god the door still worked, he noted, as it locked back into place.

alex decided to make himself comfortable while he waited for this stranger, stretching his arms above his head before collapsing on a couch. the plush cushions made him sigh and relax, throwing his legs over the arm of the couch and crossing his arms over his chest. he closed his eyes, then, content with all that he’d managed to do. i mean, he hadn’t decided quite why he was here yet. to wreak havoc on the people who killed his friends? to know who this stranger was that spared him? the vampire couldn’t tell you. perhaps it was borderline creepy, really- but who wouldn’t be a little deranged after years of being alive?

the sound of the door unlocking was enough for him to smirk to himself, opening his eyes slowly and waiting for the door to unlock. once he saw the handsome stranger - sam - his smirk grew all the more devious. “hello there, sweetie. left me waiting long enough,” he cooed, a chuckle passing his lips. he casually lifted a hand to nonchalantly look at his nails. “you know, it was kind of a dick move. killing all of my friends and then leaving me to my own devices.”

his whiskey gaze flickered towards sam, then, staring him down with those piercing eyes. “so what are you going to do, then, to make it up to me? he wanted to get that pulse accelerating again. wanted to feel the other’s pulse underneath his fingertips.. but all he did was merely lay there comfortably and stare at sam from across the room.

//omg like alex is always wanting to have a taste of sam’s blood but sam is never for it

alex will almost succeed,, some day
