Avery nodded in return. Then he decided to glance around the place. ''So...you live here?" He questioned.

Avery was reluctant to do so, but after feeling a stinging pain in his shoulder, he complied and lay down. ''This is gonna hurt like hell, isn't it?" He asked. It was a rhetorichal question, but he still asked anyways.
-
Avery wasn't expecting Trained to just hive him no warning when he placed the tweezers in his wound, he was expecting some kind of warning so he could prepare, but no. He let out a gasp and a whine, then he shut down. Avery shut his eyes tight and he gritted his teeth, refusing to make a sound. He already seemed helpless enough in front of Trained, and he hated looking helpless in front of anyone.
-
Avery was thankful that the shard was out, because he could feel the difference of less pain in his shoulder. ''Thank you.'' He told Traine, he wasn't gritting his teeth anymore and now that the shard was gone he let himself relax.
-
Avery did as asked, using the arm with the unhurt shoulder to sit upright.
-
After Trained finished wrapping his shoulder up, he rolled it and moved his arm around, seeing how it was. He smiled. ''Feels almost good as new, Doc.'' He told Trained.
-
Avery stared at the vile of liquid with a quizzical expression. ''What, do I drink it or something?" He asked. He was tempted to ask if the vile was poison, but figured if the guy had helped him so far, he probably wouldn't kill him now. So he didn't ask. What he did ask, however was, ''Can you please get off me now?" Throwing in a please for good measure.
-
Avery takes the vile, pops off the lid and takes it all in one go, then he recaps the vile and puts it in his pocket. Suddenly he hears a thus from upstairs, and he's on full alert. ''What was that?" He asked Trained.

[Center]Jamie knew it would end up with them in the group therapy room, but she was rebellious. She bickered to the nurse about how it wouldn't happen again, and how she forgave Charon, but nothing was working. The nurse was insistent on getting them to talk through the issues they had.
Eventually Jamie's bickering ceased when she saw there was no hope, and just like Charon, slumped her shoulders in defeat and followed. They were led to one of the back rooms. It was small, and the walls were colorless, and the only items in the room were three over sized chairs and one long, rectangular table. Oh, and not to mention both Charon's and Jamie's files for this therapy session.
-
[Center]The nurse waited until both of them were seated and then she cleared her throat. ''OK, now it seems you two got into a disagreement that set Charon off to the point of violence. One of the witnesses has informed me that you approached Jamie first, is that right? Charon?" The nurse asked, with a clear, calm, and analyzing tone.
-
[Center] The nurse nodded, not saying anything for a minute, her eyes were just scanning a few notes. Then she cleared her throat. ''Jamie, you decided to stay where you were, and even engage Charon in the confrontation. Why didn't you merely get one of the assistants and leave the issue alone?" She asked.
Jamie sighed, shaking her head and giving a grin. She'd been in this situation many times, ''talking out differences'' with different patients. She knew exactly how to play her role, as long as the nurse took the bait. ''I merely engaged him in conversation, and the reason I didn't get anyone is because when an issue is left alone it is never resolved. But who says it was an issue? Who says me and Charon were fighting? What if that's our way of communicating?" Jamie shot her words right back at the nurse, sounding pleasant as ever.
-
[Center]The nurse scoffed. ''Yeah, I really believe that.'' She shook her head in dismay. Jamie took a deep breath. ''Aren't we the ever cheery doctor?" Jamie spoke. The bait hadn't been taken, darn it all, now they'd hit a road bump. The nurse scribbled a few notes down once more, then cleared her throat. ''Well, the two of you have a choice to make: either I go into a detailed explanation about your disorders to the other person, or you two can spend one day with each other starting tomorrow.'' Jamie had a look of mortification cross her face. ''You people call this therapy?!?!" She said, with her voice reaching one pitch higher. The nurse nodded with a smile on her face.
-
[Center]''I'm not a twit! You're the imbecile here! Besides, if you don't like me, then why don't you leave me the bloody hell alone! It's your fault we're in this mess in the first place! You're the one who hit me! I did nothing wrong!" Jamie snarled at him.
Her anger and resentment clouded her judgement and sense. She was saying things, screaming them at Charon, the things he should never hear. Her emotions. Her mask had cracked, only a little, but the opening was there.
The nurse sat there, smiling. ''I think the matter is settled now. You'll be spending tomorrow together.'' She stood and headed to the door. ''You both may leave whenever you feel it necessary.'' Then with both of their files, she was gone from the room.
Ooc: xD I just about died....fire ants.
-
[Center]Jamie felt trapped under Charon's gaze, and she couldn't get away. It was as though something had blocked off her airways, and she couldn't say a word. She knew if she tried it would end up with her to the near point of crying. Jamie stared at the ground as though it was a life raft, and she hoped it would save her. But of course it wouldn't, and they were both doomed.
Jamie thought hard, looking for any solution so it didn't have to be tomorrow, or ever. As she thought she bit her lip so hard she accidentily drew blood. ''Um...would it be possible to do it today? Or even the day after tomorrow? Anything? Another solution even?" Jamie's voice was soft and quiet, choking back tears maybe.
The nurse gave them both a sympathetic look, plainly seeing their despair. ''I'm sorry kids, but tomorrow's gonna happen. It's best we do this quick as possible to get things resolved.''
-
[Center]Jamie watched as Charon left, and then turned to glare at the nurse. ''I thought so before, but now I know for sure. You like it when we're in mental agony.'' Then she stormed out of the room to her own. When she got there she flopped down on her bed and laid there doing nothing. She glared at the ceiling until she somehow fell asleep. But her sleep was wracked with nightmares.
-
[Center]Jamie's eyes shot open when she heard a knock on the door, being awoken from another nightmare that night. She was exhausted, but the quick realization that she should have been up an hour ago had her bolt into action. She got dressed in a minute or less, ignored shoes completely, and took her hairbrush with her as she stepped out of her room. ''Good morning Jamie.'' The nurse at her door said. Jamie looked her over for a brief second. ''You must be new, mornings are never good here.'' Was her mumbled reply as she brushed her hair. She barely acknolegded Charon accept for a simple nod of greet in in his direction. ''Are we going to breakfast now?" She asked the nurse, her mind immediately going to food.
-
[Center]Jamie shrugged. ''It's fine if I skip breakfast for a day, don't want Charon to miss any visitation time he has.'' She said. She was serious too, not many people got visitors anymore, so she wasn't going to let Charon lose any time with this Mr. Erickson. She glanced at Charon, then back at the nurse.''Yes, so don't worry about it. Not much can get him responding unless he's being insulted or assaulted.'' Was her only response to the nurse. In her head though she was confused on why he hadn't said a single thing to her yet, nothing insulting or irritating or anything. That alone stressed her out more than she thought possible, because that was the norm here and now nothing was normal, and Jamie hated the change in attitude. Her face didn't show it though.
The nurse looked confused and quite shocked at her answer, like she couldn't believe anyone would behave like that. She quickly cleared her throat. ''W-well, then I guess I'll take you two to Mr. Erickson now.'' And she started walking down the maze of hallways to the visitor room. Jamie followed after as quiet as Charon.
-
[Center]Jamie stepped into the visitor's room and watched the interaction between Charon and the man for awhile before she as being engaged in conversation. She felt like an idiot being caught staring, but she couldn't help it. Charon was smiling and laughing and hugging for God's sake! The first words out of her mouth must have really made the first impression though. She looked straight at Charon and said, ''Who are you and what the bloody hell have you done with the Charon I know and despise?" Then she looked at the blond guy in front of her and smiled. ''I'm Jamie by the way, and what kind of miracle worker are you?" Yep, first impressions were always Jamie's strong point indeed.
-
[Center]Jamie looked over at Charon when his breathing changed unexpectedly. But she figured it was normal seeing as John didn't bat an eye, so she wasn't about to question it. Jamie then bit her lip, pondering how to explain to John the relationship she had with Charon. ''Well, I don't exactly despise the kid, more like dislike him. The reason? Because your friend here likes tormenting me when he's bored. Because he doesn't believe that I see ghosts, which I do, and he thinks I'm crazier than him, which I'm not....sure if that's completely incorrect.'' Jamie shrugged after that, she was simply waiting for Charon to insult her, so they could start their usual banter.
-
[Center]Jamie didn't understand why John was laughing, and she didn't understand why Charon was scowling at her. She didn't like it. Jamie glared back at Charon, feeling irritated. ''I don't see the reason why you're scowling, I've done nothing wrong so calm down already. I haven't insulted you for believing in Greek gods, in fact I've studied them myself.'' She snapped. ''We've barely been stuck together for an hour and you're already looking at me like you're planning my murder. Just stop.''
She went and took the seat she was offered earlier to restrain herself from saying or doing anything that would make the situation worse, tapping her fingers against her leg rythymically to calm down. She probably wasn't making anything better, most likely the opposite. But she'd had nightmares all night the night before, hadn't had breakfast, and also the new nurse hadn't given her her ativan. It's not her fault she was pissy. This 'stuck-together' day only made it that much more difficult to cope with her anger.
