Ravensong purred at the little kit. "Hey Fernkit, where are you going in such a hurry?" she meowed. "Maybe when your back you could come over and me and Snakestripes will tell you a story about long ago?"
Snakestripes purred. "I've got the perfect one for you."
Cloudfoot walked past his mother and father. "Hi Ravensong, hi Snakestripes, I'll bring you back some breakfast, how's that sound?"
Snakestripes smiled. "Squirrel!"

Sharpfang ran into a tree out of camp, hoping no one would find him when he heard a voice call his name. Dung! He thought, Who is looking for me? Are they going to kill me? Run my out of camp?

Brightpaw ran slightly too far but realized what Shimmerstar was doing, turned and jumped on Shimmerstar's back

Stonekit and Robinkit walked into the medicine cat den and saw both Silverstar and Spottedflower.

"Hi Spottedflower, Hi Silverstar!" Stonekit said while Robinkit sat behind him shyly

Sharpfang sighed and hopped out of the tree. "What? What do you want? Are you going to kill me? Run me out of the clan?"

"Why is that?"

Stonekit smiled. "We were just looking around the camp. We are gonna be apprentices soon!" he said with pride.
Robinkit looked at his brother, "Well, not for a while. We are only 5 moons."
Stonekit shrugged. "So?"
Robinkit shook his head.

Sharpfang was confused. "What do you mean you don't want the clan? Don't leave everything behind because of me."

Bubbleheart smiled weakly. "Thank you."

Stonekit's eyes got wide. "I'll help everyone in the clan. I'll hunt the most prey and everyone will be full all year round! I'll win all the battles without even the smallest scratch!"
"I'll bring you moss, Spottedflower." Robinkit said sweetly.

Sharpfang rolled his eyes. "I'm not the best or greatest at anything. The clan won't miss me. I can only think of one cat who will miss me."

Snakestripes laughed. "Ok, so this was when I was about your age. It was late spring, so the forest was full of prey. I watched as apprentices would come in with their jaws FULL and I was jealous, I couldn't wait to become an apprentice. One day I told my best friend, Ravenkit, that I was going to go out into the forest and hunt a mouse. She agreed to go with me, even though she didnt really want to. We snuck out through a secret exit that has now been patched up. We had a lot of fun running through the forest that we forgot to hunt. we were laughing and playing, but we were far too loud. A warrior found us and we got into SO much trouble! Meadowstar told us that we couldn't become apprentices for another 4 moons. We had to clean out every den and change the moss. It was awful!"

Sharpfang licked her cheek. "I can't. I can't go back after what happened in there." he sighed. "I'm sorry."

Ravensong purred. "Ready to go find ourselves a pair of naughty kits?"
Snakestripes purred back. "Let's!"

The pair walked out of the camp and around to the backside where the nursery was. They had crawled out the waterful so many times when they were young, and all the time when Stormleap and Cloudfoot were kits too, they could find them there. They watched from a distance as the two kits danced about. They crept through the pine trees keeping a good watch on the kits so they wouldn't get in trouble, but stayed out of sight of the kits. Ravensong whispered to Snakestripes, "Are you ready?"
"On the count of three."
"One"
"Two"
"Three"
The elderly cats jumped out in front of the kits, fur raised, twigs and grass covering their pelts, eyes wide, and mouths opened, and hissing.

Sharpfang shook his head. "I have to. I'm so sorry, but I can't stay here, I'll get into massive trouble. They might even kill me. I can't do that to you, or to Stripetail. Visit me, won't you? I'll be in the cave by the stream. If you find the largest stone, twelve stones towards the Windclan border, there is a small gap between stones, move one of them over and there is a small cave. I'll stay there."

Stonekit smiled. "Bye Spottedflower!" he purred. "Robinkit, are you coming?"
Robinkit looked at his brother. "Yes, but I need to ask Spottedflower something real quick. I'll meet you back in the nersury with Willowblossom!"
Stonekit shrugged and left.
Robinkit looked at the medicine cat den. "What's it like being a medicine cat?"

Bubbleheart walked to her bed in the Warrior's Den and collapsed, to tired to tell anyone about the dog. She fell asleep and had dreams about hunting dogs.

Sharpfang rubbed his cheek against hers. "Don't leave all of this behind because of me. What about your family and friends? They'll miss you terribly."

Sharpfang sighed. "I won't be happy without you, but I don't want you to get hurt, and I don't want the clan to get hurt either. Just come visit me, won't you? I'll wait for you every night. We can hunt together, then in the early morning, go back into camp, no one will notice you leaving."
