A kittypet adopted by a wealthy twoleg family, Chérie was 'mothered' by another cat living in the home. An older, yet graceful she-cat. Chérie, being new, was the center of attention with the family. This is where the jealousy begins.

As Chérie grew, her coat filled out, and lightened to a lustrous white. She was blooming into a beautiful young adult. Pure of heart, and naïve as ever, Chérie always loved to play with the twoleg children. Catering to their small attention spans. The adult twolegs began to love her more and more, all but forgetting about their other cat. Morgana, the other cat, nurtured hatred in he heart.

Morgana, speaking to different cats outside one day, disguised herself, hiding in some bushes. A loner passed by, and she summoned him. Speaking in secret, the two began to plot. All the while, Morgana suppressed the urge to hurt Chérie. It was the young cat's first venture into the garden, when, along came a striking young tom cat. Chérie fell prey to his charm, being innocent and trusting...

Later, on a hunt in the woods with the tom, he paused. Scenting the air, then slowly turning toward Chérie. An evil grin alit on his face. Beginning to feel nervous and uncomfortable, Chérie felt the need to leave, but as she did so, the tom blocked her path. He had been commissioned to kill Chérie. Bolting from the path, the young she-cat fled into the forest. Right into the leg of a twoleg. The twoleg picked Chérie up, and took her home.
