Dallas had volunteered to bury the casket. Machines were placed around the edge of the hole that lowered it in, then he picked up a shovel,"I'd like to say a few words." he said, his eyes downcast. There was a podium set up in front of the grave that he stepped up to. "Two-bit, was special. He had a hard life being a greaser, but he never let that bother him. He would take any chance to make a joke, to make someone feel good and laugh. Two was like a brother to me, to all of us. I've arranged to write a letter to Disney and ask them to dedicate an episode to him. That's all, would anyone else like to speak?" he blinked back tears and stepped down from the podium.
Sandy began sobbing at Dallas's speech. The regret of not getting to know him killed her, he seemed like a really swell guy.
-
Two-bit's family all gave a small speech and the ceremony ended. Dallas stuck around after and sat next to the grave, playing with his switchblade. After a while he left and walked to the park.
Sandy hugged Ponyboy after the ceremony. She held back tears and told him, "I'm real proud of you Pony, you're so brave."
-
Sandy pulled away and kept her hands on his shoulders, a small smile on her face,"How about we go see a movie, we haven't been in forever!"
-
"Or we could just go home?" she suggested, sensing hesitation in his voice.
OOC: which one of you guys was Cherry in a school play? how did it go?
-
OOC: was the guy who played dally hot :3

-
OOC: oh gosh you don't know how jealous I am
err idk maybe we can just have normal stuff now until the next big thing happens
*time skip to after movie*
Sandy and Pony walked home from the movies, left alone by Socs. They had probably heard about the death and didn't want to have anyone else killed. Sometimes, even the most horrible people still have common sense.
-
Sandy stopped next to him and looked at him, then the door, at him, then the door. "The door knob won't bite." she said jokingly, softly punching his arm.
-
"Thinking about what?" she asked, turning to face him.
-
"Everything is a lot to think about." Sandy said, going into the kitchen and getting a cup of water.
-
Dallas drove to the hospital to visit Ryan, when he got there he entered her room as quietly as possible, in case she was asleep.
Sandy looked at the boys and raised an eyebrow. Then she went over to the couch and started reading Gone With the Wind, Pony had recommended it to her.
-
"G'night Pony." she said, standing up to kiss him a quick kiss on the cheek.
Dallas walked into the room and sat down on her bed. "Sorry I haven't come to visit, things have been busy. I can take you home now."
-
"It's okay Becca, we can get through this together." he said, squeezing her tightly.
-
Sandy stayed up and a couple chapters before she too went to sleep in the chair she was sitting in.
OOC: my mom got me rob lowe's autobiography :3
-
OOC: he was sodapop
Sandy stirred in her sleep and knocked over a glass of water, and the loud sound woke her up. She heard running water in the bathroom while she cleaned up the water. After she finished cleaning up she walked over to Pony's room to check in on him. The empty bed told her he was in the bathroom, so she wandered in and looked at the photos on his desk. Their was a letter written on an orange piece of paper, signed by Johnny. Next to it was a picture of who she assumed was Johnny, and Ponyboy together.
-
Sandy didn't notice Pony was back, she kept looking at the pictures. There were pictures of the whole gang together, images of a mother and a father, probably his parents, and in the middle of it all was a poem,
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf,
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day
Nothing gold can stay.
-
Sandy jumped back from the desk, startled by Pony's voice. "Sorry, I dropped a glass and it woke me, couldn't get back to sleep." she whispered, twisting her shirt in her fingers.
-
Sandy nodded her head, "You've got real good friends." The tone of her voice was almost jealous, Sandy had grew up mostly alone. Ponyboy and the gang were the first real friends she had ever had.
-
"This poem," Sandy said, gesturing to the title, curious to it's meaning.
OOC: oops I put a quotation
-
OOC: are we quitting the old one?
-
OOC: okay the plot is that they broke up and they're back together?
