[justify] I whirled around to see the others beginning to be overwhelmed. "I think that it's about time that we got going," I commented, directing this mostly towards Luke and the others, since we needed to fall back now of else we'd be completely overwhelmed. "Fall back!"

[justify] I gave the still growing orb a brief glance, and I felt a flutter of hope in my chest, since we were so close. We were almost to four feet. Blitz, we're almost there! I told the Delphox, looking over at her through the almost painfully bright light of the orb.

[justify] "Risky? I dont mean to put you down by saying this, but, I don't really think that doing anything 'risky' is a good idea right now." I stated as I began to form a shield of Light around the group, causing most of the shadows to recoil and scramble back since quite a few of the ones that made contact with the shield either got burnt, or burnt up completely. If only Rebel were here- I thought, now feeling rather shaky after summoning the shield. Now I was starting to think that perhaps I should've let Hope make her "risky" move, since I wasn't feeling that great now.

[justify] I noticed that as the orb neared the diameter of four feet, it began to make this strange humming noise, and it certainly wasn't quiet. What now? I asked Blitz.

"You know what, screw it. Hope, you could burrow through this floor and get us out of here, right?" I asked weakly, looking over at the Mawile.

[justify] Alright. I mentally grunted in reply, before briefly eyeing the orb once again. I assume that there'll be some sort of signal so that I know when to put down the shield?

[justify] I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle at this, and for a brief moment, a small smile graced my face. Very well.

[justify] I was not prepared to suddenly start falling, so when we landed, I think that the only one who had landed gracefully was Hope, since she hadn't warned us that she'd send us straight into a fall. As I attempted to get back to my feet, I let out a pained hiss as I felt a horrible pain in my abdomen, and I knew that I had probably just made the horrid gash that ran across my abdomen worse. Damn it, Hope.

[justify] "It's fine, I'm fine." I hastily told Hope through gritted teeth when the Mawile went over to me and offered me some sort of... Cream it seemed? "I can just use my healing magic on it anyways, so you don't have to waste it on me." I told her, waving her away as I pulled off my helmet with a weary sigh.

[justify] I dropped the shield just a few seconds before the orb went off, sending out a shockwave as it shot upwards into the sky with a wail. As I covered my eyes from the blinding light and pressed myself against the ground to prevent myself from hurtling backwards, I could hear the explosion that took place overhead up in the sky, and it was louder than any thunder. I hesitantly removed my arm from my face and I got to my feet - albeit a bit shakily - and I looked up at the sky to see the clouds beginning to clear.
And for a moment I weakly grinned, but my grin faltered when I didn't see any rays of sunlight break through the clouds, or a clear blue sky, but instead the dark indigo, star speckled blanket that was the night sky.
The sun had yet to rise.
