And so, they began their slow but steady trip back to the camp. Silkflower let Ashgaze lean on her incase he lost his balance and was very careful with him on their way up the rocky slopes.

Then Silkflower understood. She herself had only ever seen two kittings so it never bothered her any more. But it takes a lot of courage to face that kind of situation. Silkflower felt a flicker of pride for Rosepaw. Snowclan is lucky to have her. She thought as she walked back into the nursery after Thornpaw.

Relief flooded over Silkflower that they found the right herb. "Thankyou." She murmered. Then she ran over the instructions. "Chew the leaves, spit out the pulp and then give it to me." Silkflower meowed. She'd do it herself but the dizzyness came on with her chill which would go away once she ate the herbs.

Silkflower placed her moss beside Thornpaw's and then walked over to the apprentice who was staring wide-eyed into open space. Silkflower gave a brisk lick to Thornpaw's cheek in comfort. "It's not to pretty is it?" Silkflower quietly joked with Thornpaw, trying to lighten the mood. Or at least calm the apprentice.

Silkflower scooped up the pulp and began to eat it steadily. Once she was done she almost immediatly stopped shivering. She began to wash her ruffled pelt and then saw the cats eyeing her curiously. Their wondering how I know all this herb stuff... Silkflower thought. "My mother was friends with a medicine cat and then she taught me." She explained. "But I'll never become a medicine cat. My life is as a warrior and nothing more or less."

"Frozenclaw?" Silkflower asked as she struggled to get up. "Could I have some help? I'm still a bit shaky." The whole time while she spoke, Silkflower glared at Rosettepelt and Frigidice.

Silkflower nodded watching Rosepaw do her work with Snow. "Well I think Rosepaw is doing fine so I'm going to go and hunt. Then I'll check back in later." Silkflower flicked her tail in farewell and padded out of the nursery.

Silkflower saw Rosettepelt glance behind her, and she saw a flash of guilt in her eyes. A touch of understanding went through Silkflower's mind at Rosettepelt. Though she was still slightly annoyed.

"Sure Frozenclaw!" Silkflower meowed. Then she went to Frigidice. "I was wandering in the mountains and I met up with Fadingstar who let me join the clan." Silkflower answered generally. I'll tell them what really happened later.... Silkflower thought, still finding her story to fresh to bear.

A brisk wind kept the tiny fawn colored kit moving toward the strong scent of cats, hoping that she could get help. She could not remember anything from her life except for her name, Fawn, and that her mother and siblings were dead. She was weaned but needed a mother. The cold snow made her paws ache and she was slowly getting drowsy. I wish I was warm.... Fawn vaguely thought, as she crouched on the ground with exhuastion. "Hello....?" Fawn gave a weak mew. She had not eaten for three days and her stomach growled. curling up in a ball, Fawn whimpered. Her gaze grew fuzzy and through each passing minute it grew harder to see. Her paws felt heavy and she laid down on the ground. I'll never find a home... Fawn thought wearily.

[br]I am a short pelted she-cat with lively eyes and a round face. I am restless and cannot stand or sit still, but I love family and care very much for young kits.
[br]There is this kit who hangs around me and can be annoying, but I let her follow me because she has nobody else.

Fawn looked up, he eye-sight still blurry, and saw a dark shape standing over her. "Come with me can you walk?" The cat meowed. Fawn barely heard the cat's words. The kit gave a small nod and stood up, stumbling over the snow. "Who are you?" Fawn squeaked quietly. This cat had a strange smell but seemed to be friendly. She squinted her eyes at the cat and her vision cleared up. At once the little kit felt frightened at the strong cat infront of her. She looked up at the cat's eyes nervously.
