Oceanbreeze walked out of the warriors den and started grooming her ruffled fur. It was a beautiful morning, and the sun lit up the sky. "Nightspark, Coralgaze, Swiftpaw!" she called.

Mangopaw sprung out of his nest and ran out of the apprentice's den. He looked around for Tidewhisker, then realized the warrior must still be asleep. He walked over to the warriors den. "Tidewhisker?"

"Come, Dolphinpaw." Oceanbreeze led her apprentice and Mangopaw and Tidewhisker out of camp. As they walked, she quizzed her apprentice. "Now, what do you smell?"
Mangopaw couldn't wait. "I'll be the best fighter in the clan!" He walked out of camp after the deputy. Hearing what Oceanbreeze had asked Dolphinpaw, he decided to see if he could smell the same things as her, and maybe more.
