(Is alpha wearing guard armor? For the record, Nixran doesn't.)

Nixran passed his way into the tavern, all but ignoring the ponies he saw wrestling outside. "Cut it out, you two." was all he ordered before heading inside, not waiting to see whether or not they'd even heard him. He didn't care much anyways.

Entering the tavern, he noticed it was much bigger than he anticipated. And it was packed to the brim. He stretched both his wings, before calmly stepping in. Most of the families faces he'd come to know had far outgrown him, as he was still quite middle aged, compared to childhood friends he may have had that were likely now starting to show signs of age.

It didn't matter, he hadn't been to Ponyville in so long, not many would be able to recognize him or his name. For the most part, he could at least pinpoint what could of appeared to maybe be a relative of the children he attended school with, but by and large, all the ponies in the tavern were completely new faces, ones that he could never begin to know of.

There was one face he (sort of) recognized however, and it was one of the younger guards. Delta Set, or something? He never truly kept track of names, and he merely hailed the fellow Guardsmen. "Greetings." He merely said, continuing to admire the building.

120-question personality test, taken from an in character perspective

Nixran is a disciplined (he'll listen to orders, assuming they come from one of a higher rank) soldier of the Canterlot royal guard, and a fearless individual, testament to heritage and his title. He seems calm in the most dire of situations, and he couldn't care less about how dire a problem became, as long as he was there to do something about it. Helpful as he may be, it is absolutely no secret that he is arrogant beyond reason, and is perfectly fine with claiming himself above other ponies. He is quite rash, and will rush into any circumstance head on, trusting in his own abilities and position to get a job done, and nothing else. He generally sees in the light of "things go his way, or they beg to cease to become 'things' ". He has an absolute distrust for large crowds, having dealt with a great deal many pickpockets, and will avoid them, unless it's in the way of his post.

Cutie Mark- Irrelevant, he doesn't, nor has he ever, cared for cutie marks.
    Love Interests-none
Kin- Swift Wind (father, Deceased) Glaedrsha (mother, alive)
    Other- lives in Canterlot

(Both of those are nicknames he goes by, though dragons tend to call him 'Dragon's Fist' While ponies see him as 'The Bulwark'. It's more of the matter of either race never seeing the others nickname for him. No dragon calls him 'Bulwark', and no pony calls him 'Dragon's fist'.

And he often introduces himself as both., so he has two titles. One from the kin of his mother, the other from the kin of his father.
    He'll never deny either title.

As for the personality, I'll fix it.

As for where he lives, he wouldn't be Nixran without living in Canterlot.

He previously lived in Ponyville, but it's been (four) decades since he'd last been there.

Nixran looked back to Alpha, nodding. When it came down to it however, he was only really as old as perhaps 30, in terms of aging, what with his mixed blood. He'd live longer than most ponies, but certainly not as long as a full-blooded dragon would.

When asked if he would wear armor, he shook his head. " I assure you, the name of Nixran Ironhide is not to be taken in vain. " he stated plainly. He'd never worn the armor. It was purely ceremonial in purpose. Nixran valued his speed more than his looks. His hooves were already hard enough to crack stone and dig tunnels, and his skin was quite hard to cut in its own right. Arrows would penetrate, certainly, but as for swords and spears? Barely could make an incision on him, provided he didn't block the blow with his hooves already.

His one universal weakness was magic, which was why he hated the armor. It was definitely more protection, but said protection would do nothing if a stray bolt of fire caught him dead on.

"And kid. I'll bet the only guards younger than you are the cadets... " he joked, though he knew there were at least... A few that would be in their late teens.

    Mean[size=14]while...

Defiant Defender found himself in the city of Ponyville, his golden armor shining in the light of Celestia's sun. He was assigned to the town to be a guard of a certain Twilight Sparkle, who quite... Promptly dismissed his services as soon as he came. Of course,he tried reasoning with her, but she seemed to insist her beliefs that her title meant nothing, and insisted she be treated like everypony else. No guards.

But orders are orders, he thought, sighing. Princess Celestia herself asked Defiant Defender for this task, and by Tartarus he was going to do it. If that meant staying at a distance so he could appear to be guarding the town ( which was no doubt, still a secondary task to do in his position), so be it,. He'd be there in the town, at the very least. Something Twilight Sparkle herself couldn't argue against.

He found himself nearby the Carousel Boutique, and more interesting, he saw what appeared to be 3 mares with a... Quite strange appearance, even for that of a pony. He approached them warily.

[color=yellow]"Greetings, what brings ponies such as yourselves to this fine city?" the white unicorn ventured, silently noting the strange appearance of their pupils.

    Trait: stealth, level 2

You decided you would practice your ability to move undetected, which was easy enough. You learned how to move without making a sound, and you were actually able to bring a deer down after getting close enough to use daggers, pouncing on it, burying one dagger into its back so it couldn't kick you off, and using the other to slit its throat. Something else caught your interest though. A group of three bandits, having seemingly just robbed a merchant. Another group to test your skills.

With a combination of a leap from the bushes, a kick to the face, a dagger thrust to the eyes, a lunge, jumping backwards, and stabbing down, in that order, all three of them were dead, you looted the corpses, and left them to rot. Bandits didn't deserve burials. Then again, you were no better, laughing as you made off with the already stolen goods.

Well, you certainly had an economic start, which brings us to the question,

    Where were you going next?

    A. Train another ability? ( choose from the options given before, stealth can be trained to 3 if you do this. Locks the ability to go to the market in the next chapter of character creation. And no, I won't let you abuse loopholes. No market the first time you go to town.

    B. Go to the town? (No level ups, but you can sell the goods that you took from the bandits, and buy what you want.)

in case you're concerned, no, you won't be called out for selling stolen goods,

Assassin is meant to finish the job by any means necessary. If that means fight, so be it. Also, it's just a class name. Lol you are t an assassin til you join the guild. Assassin is just the name of the set of abilities you have.

And the items will be less valuable after this specific time.so yes you can stash them, but they are worth double the value now. Return to original price after character creation.

(Just going to reintroduce Defiant, since meadow didn't reply, and even if she did, it's much too late for changes.)

Nixran simply chuckled. "You'll never be as good as me, kid. Unless you can bite clean through solid rock, or deflect blades with your hooves. And I don't recommend you try." He said, before looking back around the tavern again. "I expected this place to be much more exciting in appearance. Guess I was wrong." He stated, and took a seat at one of the tables and ordered a drink, watching warily over the bar patrons.

Defiant Defender patrolled the town, staying far as he could from the castle. He'd been given orders to not guard the castle, yet he had a higher authority task him with the protection of Princess Twilight Sparkle. With the conflicting orders, he'd continue patrolling the town, but he'd stay at an appropriate distance. His armor's plates made an audible noise which each step he took. He could remove the armor, but without magic, he couldn't put it back on. So it was a necessary annoyance. But still an annoyance.
