The dog bolted through the alley, making sure that Mizaku was on his tail, and head for the park, where the dog scent was slightly strong.

Jay stumbled downstairs, rubbing his eyes exhaustively, the bitter taste of the rum still on his tongue.

The crimson dragon's golden eyes narrowed as a scent filled his nostrils, making the large drake slow down and scrunch his nose in a testing manner, his claws rooting him into the ground as he leaned up as high as he could, and let out a deep growl. "Who's there? Don't make me look." His slitted gaze eyed the long grasses, then scanned over the tall trees.

He cast a weary glance to Alira for a moment, still utterly confused about what had happened the day before. After he caught Suki's eye, he shrugged slightly and moved toward the kitchen with a sluggishness that would never characterize him unless he was wounded, sick, or flat out not himself.

A short smile came to his lips and he pat her head lightly before moving over to the cabinets, looking for something good to make. There wasn't much in the kitchen, except the wine Zane bought the other day. He couldn't even bother to get some cereal. Damn. He rubbed his palm against his eyes.

Jay staggered back out to the living room, an almost wistful gaze set on Alira's resting body before he shook his head violently and hurriedly moved toward the stairs. He must still be drunk. At least, that was his first theory on why he felt dazed, including when he looked at her.

Very much stressed out and confused, Jay made his way up the stairs. He entered the bedroom and fell back on the bed, though he wasn't aware that it was in fact Alira's room. He hadn't even noticed one of her "valuables" on the end of the bed before he rested his head on the right side pillow. Exhaustion swept over him, but he did not entirely fall asleep. Something was amiss, but he couldn't put a finger on it...
