Summer pounced through the thick forest floor, giving chase to the rabbit. Thrill and happiness rushed through her veins as she got closer, getting ready to leap at the rabbit.

Oh, Starclan thank you for feeding this meal. Thank you for giving this creature to me for food... She prayed, in the split second she was midair. She landed on the rabbit, quickly taking it's life, making sure she did it painlessly. She raised it in her jaws, proudly as the metallic blood leaked into her mouth and slid down her throat. She spat it out and took a large bite, her beautiful fur shimmering from the light that trickled down from the cracks between the tops of trees, dappling her golden pelt.

Her green eyes looked up lazily and gazed at the white female that stood before her. "Oh!" She grinned, purring. "Join me?" She offered kindly at the she-cat.

Summer laughed, her voice like honey, drizzling sweetly over Whisper. The cute cat had been embarrassed, and she felt a sudden sympathy for her. "Well, thank you. I was raised in Wind-clan, so obviously I have the blood for rabbit chasing." She admitted, shyly glimpsing at the beautiful cat before her."I suppose I could." She told the cat thoughtfully. "Show me how you would normally stalk a rabbit?" She asked, purring ad padding closer to the cat. From here she could examine her twinkling eyes. She abandoned her rabbit swiftly, her tail wiggling behind her gracefully, like a snake.

Summer nodded patiently and smiled. Her paws were noisy, her angle was wrong, and her crouch was lop sided. "That's great!" She lied. "I would suggest you step very lightly. Like walking one water." She whispered, and showed her, her elegance as she strutted, crouching on the leaves and twigs without making a crunch or tweak the whole way. "Also, straighten your spine a bit." She offered kindly. The cat was very pretty, she thought, admiring her white and gray flecked fur. Her blue eyes still, toke her back. They sparkled, like sapphires . "Now, you try." She grinned, excited to see what the cat could do. "Oh, and my name is Summer." She wanted to bang her idiot head to a boulder! She hadn't even told Whisper her name.

"Much!" Summer purred, trotting over, following her. "It was great, actually." She assured her. It was pretty good. She smiled at the cat and blinked a few times, the sun lighted filtering heavily into her eyes. "Try it out for real, sometime, with me?" She grinned hopefully. She stifled her giggles at the cats twitching tail, and her excited expression. Summer shifted her weight, feeling the dewy springs of grass cooling her pads. She hoped she'd agree, because she liked the cat's bashful yet cheery personality. It was sort of like her own attitude, and she liked that. The forest scents filled her nose, smelling the crisp scents of Leaf-fall. She watched as a red leaf tumbled gently to the ground.

She looked away, fury filling her eyes. This was not about them! Right now, she felt so selfish.
"Yes. But that would never be so, so stop wishing." And start dreaming. And take action. And be reality. She thought to herself. She watched the innocent kits tackle each other, yowling fake battle cries. If only they knew the truth, the story behind all this pain. She gathered them up quickly. 'Say goodbye." She cooed at her babies, and they screamed in complaints. "But why?" Dreamkit whined. Mapledawn fought tears. "Tomorrow." She promised.

Summer nodded in agreement and lay down on a soft patch of moss, curling her tail around her, and tucking her paws underneath her slender body. She beckoned with her tail for Whisper to join her, happily enjoying the remainder of her rabbit, offering Whisper part of her delicacy. She let the breeze carry the scent of the she-cat into her body, smelling her sweet smell, like cherry-blossoms. She grinned dreamily at the cat, a purr climbing up her throat.

Cloud sat up. "What? No... GROSS!" She exclaimed with a giggle. "That'll just make me sick." She declared. "I dare you to wade chest deep into the river!" She exclaimed. If we were to play this game, she wanted to play it right. She loved thrill, just not rotten prey. "I'll go with you!" She promised, grinning.

It was time. She gathered her kits and padded across the clearing with them, cooing in their ears. She explained to them of their father, gently whispering the tale of the two cats who's love was forbidden. They would meet him, to night, and she blinked away tears of joy. She reached the river, seeing River in the tree. "River!' She called quietly. "You have guests."

Dreamkit and Hopekit, obviously best friends stuck by their mother's side. Dreamkit's dark fur blended with the shadows as her and Hopekit chattered away with their mother, who lovingly answered their curious questions. Flamekit trotted a bit behind with Rainkit, who seriously discussed matter within Riverclan, which made Mapledawn grin. And Bashful kit silently listened to the forest's surroundings. She would bring them here, tomorrow. She let Dreamkit pounce on her bushy tail as she considered the kits future.

Dusk blinked a few times, watching the cat scramble to her feet, with elegance he had never seen. "Why? Obviously you to are... together. I wouldn't want to disturb you. I will be moving along soon enough." He promised, shuffling his paws. He stayed, but constantly glanced away, feeling very awkward. Clear was gorgeous, and he was taken aback by her glimmering eyes. They were... beautiful. They were like disks, like the moon, showing wisdom, pain, and her past, all in one. He licked his lips, not sure what to do. The leaves tumbled around him, red and yellow swirling and dancing before landing gently on the ground.

Cloud voice rang out like silver bells, or like golden honey, drizzling over Bluefire sweetly and thickly. "Alright!" She yowled, chasing after him, twigs, dust and leafs flying as they charged, side by side to the river. Once they got their, Cloud stopped, showing her elegance, spinning around her supple and full body, her muscles no longer tense from anger, her white coat shimmering. Her green eyes glittered into the water. 'Okay." She sighed bravely. "I'll go first." Taking a breath, she waded in, quietly. Water sloshed around her, the current lifting pebbles that danced around her feet. "Follow me!"

Cloud stifled her giggles. "It's not the river's fault!" She sang. The gentle ripples pushed her farther, without her moving. She shifted, nervous. The river made her violent rips and scratches that had marked her skin form Skywatcher burn. One wound that was very deep, the water, triggered the blood flow again and the water around her clouded with blood. "Oh. Don't worry. it's just a battle scratch." She mumbled. She ignored the pain as Bluefire drifted closer. And passed her. And got chest deep. And then neck deep. "Bluefire..." She meowed loudly. "The current is to strong. And you don't know how to swim, he have to get out." She told him. But she noticed soon that he couldn't move. The current was dragging him along like a mouse. His head went under. "Bluefire!" She yowled. Legs thrashing, she followed. She knew how to swim, by hunting in the rivers for fish when she needed food. She lunged forward and grabbed his scruff, panting. He gasped for air, and went limp. She had to save him.

That night, curled up with her shivering babies, she whispered a song into their ear about the legendary clans. They fell asleep, tucked beside her, purring and humming to the words.

The next night they were gathered up again for another trip. They traveled through the woods, after eating a small mouse before going. Her thoughts were clouded as she saw they were five moons now. They soon would be paws, and have to make the choice of staying with their mother or father. they arrived soon, and Mapledawn nudged them to their father gently, purring.

Cloud watched as he sputtered up water as she lay him by the bank. He drank air up, filling his lungs. "I'm so sorry!" She cried. "I should've never dared you to do that! You could've died." She had tears dripping down her face. Her wound was stinging, screaming with pain. Her heart hurt worse then the injury, even so. She collapsed beside Bluefire, knowing this could be their last nights together, and after what happened, probably would be. She cleaned his blue-gray fur by licking it, drying it of the water. Her snow colored tufts were not so easy to dry, on account of her thick coat. She curled up beside him, trying to warm herself and him. "I'm so sorry." She whispered. And she was. He nodded and drifted of into a slumber, obviously tired. She started to sleep as well. She sang into the cat she loved ear as she closed her eyes, a soothing song that could of been song by angels:

That's when she said I don't hate you
Boy I just want to save you
While there's still something left to save
That's when I told her I love you
Girl, but I'm not the answer for the questions
    That you still have
