He was behind the throne room in his study, he heard her asking for him though and called her in. "What is it my dear?"

Violetta followed the handmaid to her chambers, ones suitable for a Princess.

"What about your family, any Relatives that would attend?" Ivy asked her curiously, they were almost back to the house but hoped, she'd spend more time with them.

"And I you." He replied, confused by her sudden burst of affection. Hugging her back, he asked "How is the pregnancy going?" Hoped all was well, and that it would be a boy this time.

(What if it's twin girls?)

"Well you've gained a sister and a mother, give my father some time he'll eventually come around." Ivy replied with a smile. The car pulled into the driveway shortly, and Ivy walked back to the guest house with Mel to show her the things she'd picked out.

"Two boys would be good." He replied hoping it was true, he thought about her words feeling confused by them and her actions always keeping him at arms length and then now telling him she loved him.

"Some things for baby and then for you after baby is born." She said smiling, showing her the bag full, "Plus some cute maternity clothes." Setting the bags on the table she hoped she'd like them.

(Sure!)

"You will do fine." He said assuredly, letting her hug him. He looked down at her wondering what had caused this sudden change, he was tempted to ask but decided against it.

"Like I said you gained a sister." Ivy smiled as she watched Mel go upstairs. She wondered what was keeping Alex but assumed he was in the house trying to talk to there father.

"He's probably up talking to our dad, why don't we go up there and join them? I'm sure mom will have him on his best behavior." Ivy said with a laugh, hoping she'd join them.

"In here babe," He called out from where he was sitting on the couch in the families living room. His dad was sitting on one of the chairs, he smiled politely at Melissa and said in a gruff voice, "Melissa I hope you don't mind, we ordered pizza for dinner since you ladies were gone."

Before she left Edward asked "You'll join us in the main hall for dinner, Violetta is joining us as well." He wasn't going to leave the Princess to fend for herself until she made friends here in the castle.

Violetta smiled when Esmeralda entered the room, and said "Good Evening, Edward here was just telling me all about the royal stables, he suggested I join you both on a ride one day after the baby is born of course." She left out the part where Edward hadn't said both of them, she was currently just trying to be polite. She knew he hadn't meant anything by his invitation but she thought Esmeralda would see it differently.

"Good deal, it should be here soon." Alex said with a smile as Mel hugged him, he gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and then asked "How did the shopping trip go?"

Sensing her tension Nicolai looked at her, his face curious. When the reached there table, he waited for everyone to be seated before raising his glass in a toast, "I'd like to thank all of you for being here, I'd also like to say how thankful I am that we are taking our first steps towards peace as well, to Lockhart!" He took a sip before smiling down at Lily who was seated next to him.

"I'm glad you had fun." He laughed, it was like Ivy to be so, welcoming, she was so different from the rest of his family.

Violetta ate her meal, pondering what the Queen expected her to do. Smiling politely she thanked them for having her join them.

She stood excusing herself, "Have a good night Edward, Esmeralda and little miss Clara." She smiled playfully at the little girl.

"Clara can stay in the nursery, you can join me though if you wish." He replied, he loved his child but didn't want her sleeping in his chambers with them.

Ivy was excited that Mel had agreed to the baby shower and helped her plan it. Her and their mother were on their way there with the gifts they'd purchased. Alex had to help carry them in because of how big the box was, Ivy was excited for Mel to open it all.

Nicolai sat down, leaning closer to Lily he questioned "Well tomorrow we'll be wed, and you'll be my Queen consort, are you ready for that?" He looked over at her parents, her mother's stern face and fathers more friendly one, he hoped they'd made the right choice for peace by inviting them here.

When Esmeralda joined he was sitting behind his desk, reading documents that needed his mark of approval. Looking up, he said "My Dear, I'm glad you joined me." Putting his quill down for a moment he looked her over and asked, "What is wrong?"
