Shadow had not seen Midnight all night. He was worried. When he became alph male, he had vowed never to let anything harm his pack. Now an important wolf was missing nad it was all his fault. He took a deep breath of air for the ninth time this night, trying to catch a whiff of Midnight. Suddenly, the breeze shifted and a stale, familiar smell hit him: Midnight. He howled a triumphant song before he charged into the deepest, darkest part of forest surrounding the territory. He would find Midnight and bring him back.

OCC: I have a sub-account called Cougarwarrior. SO if I post with that one, it's me.

IC: Tiger had stalked the traveling cats for many days, always pushing so as not to loose the trail. Now he stood at the top of an icy hill, looking down at a windswept valley below. The Travelers, as he had come to call them, had stopped to rest. He called out, but his booming voice got caught in the blizzard. His semi-dark shape stood out against the fluffy white snow. "Hello!" he tried again to no avail. FInnally he resolved to walk up to them. He prodded a cat in the shoulder. It felt ass if it were made of ice. "Hello? Why are you traveling in a blizzard?"

"Shhh. Come with me, kit. What is your name?" Applefang asked gently. His mate would know something better to do. "Applefang! What do you have with you today?" Raccoon asked curiosly. A kit! She had just lost a litter herself. "Oh you poor thing. Come here, let me clean you. Applefang, can you go get some fresh-kill?" Like you were supposed to, she wanted to add. Then to the kit, she cooed a lullaby and asked, "Now, why don't you tell me your story? I'm sure it's an intresting one." She settled into a rhythmic lapping of fur while waiting for a seemingly long lifestory.

The other three, who were new warriors, had their pelts bristling on end. "Oh, sure." one of them said angrily. Raccoon stepped in; they were yelling at a kit. "Now you leave her alone! She's just a kit!"
"Well, looky here. We have a rouge on our paws. And on Winclan territory, too. What a shame." said another, inching closer. All of a sudden, Applefang burst from the heather in a frenzy. "Let my mate and kit go! Leave them alone!" Raccoon had never been so happy to see him. She stood protectively over Hawkkit. Living in Windclan territory, she had learned to run faster than a rabbit. The four of them turned towards Applefang and Raccoon realized this was her chance. She picked up Hawkkit and ran to Twoleg place. A place she knew, and had once loved. She knew warriors hated going there. She ran to the old abandoned twoleg nest and set down Hawkkit. "Are you alright?" She asked

Raccoon realized she was running, rather awkwardly. She halted and turned to see what the kit wanted. She felt very responsible for Hawkkit, but obiously, she had a cat that cared about her. "Yes?" she mewed, trying not to let the kit see she was close to crying.

Fine then. she thought. "Come on!" and with that, she shoved him into the soon-to-be-frozen river. His head went under then popped back up. She gave a small yowl of triumph. "Keep your head up and paws moving!" she called. She said she was going to teach him. She was teaching him.

"We're warriors!" the kits immediately intrupted their tumble to volenteer themselves for a real battle.

"No, kits. Your time will come, but it is not now." Driftingmist said, sternly yet gently; sweetly yet with the air of some one with power, just as any mother would speak to her kits.

The kits began protesting, but with one stern look they filed towards the nursery, only stopping to look back at the commanding queen. With a collective sigh, they climbed they path in the tree.
