    ☼ COLOUREDSTAR AND MOUNTAINSTAR

Many things changed, Token Masters were renamed Designers, and the new position Shopkeepers was introduced. They were in charge of running shops in the plaza to buy and sell things. Colouredstar and Mountainstar eventually turned the Clan pro-Clan. As this was going on, Oraclenight, an ex-Elite leader, managed to convince Mountainstar's possessor to come out and change everything back to anti-Clan. Since Colouredstar was an amnesiac at the time, he did nothing to stop them.

While she was in charge, Sabrestar appeared once again, welcomed by many except for Colouredstar and Mountainstar. At one of the meetings, Mountainstar went insane and yelled and screamed trying to get out of the control of his possessor. With Sabrestar standing by to force Mountainstar to overcome this demon, Mountainstar eventually went back to normal. Thinking this was a good time, Sabrestar tried to bargain his position back but to no avail, he was chased off and said he would come back.

Once again, SunClan continued as normal, having Shopkeepers work and Designers create their tokens. But Sabrestar said he would be back. He was greeted by Mountainstar and Spottedglory who agreed to revoke his leadership and resume being deputy. When Colouredstar appeared, he said no, and they began to argue and fight. Eventually, it broke out in a huge attack, with both sides running off to get allies. Staunton brought the Blackheart Rogues to help while Ishmael brought ScarClan. HawkClan also turned up but there were no leaders present.

Seeing he was outnumbered, Colouredstar fled and Sabrestar became leader of SunClan for the third time. After awhile Sabrestar resigned willingly from Leader and handed it over to Flamestar while he stepped down to a Medicine Cat of SunClan. He promised that his Silverblood's would stay loyal to Flamestar so long as Sabrestar was still inside SunClan. He was now known as Sabretooth. Rapidfire, Vertigo, and Polkadots were all promoted to the deputy position.

Colouredstar and Mountainstar felt extremely betrayed by these actions. Mountainstar secretly met with Colouredstar and they planned a battle to regain SunClan's authority, even though they didn't want a battle and countless bloodshed. Flamestar, Mountainstar and Colouredstar came to an agreement that they would all three be leaders of SunClan. Gravelstar promised that she'd be back to kill Sabretooth and hunt him down after Flamestar promised to hand him over.

The three ruled together for a short time, but then things slowly went for a horrible turn. Flamestar was assassinated by Carnivalcorpses while he was testing out a new telepathic ability. He manipulated her mind into thinking she was on fire and in reality her skin reacted as though it was on fire. Mountainstar was assassinated shortly by Carnivalcorpses and had all of his lives drained from his body. Colouredstar was left in ruin for a short while, consumed with grief at his brother's and the other leaders. He ruled singlehandedly for a short period of time before the return of a lost soul.

Mountainstar had returned but he was possessing Wildfire. Wildfire had been given none lives once more and had convinced Colouredstar that he was his brother. Colouredstar was excited upon his brothers return soon realized that with his death came a change in his personality. The two never lead the same style of clan again and the clan began to grow more low into their kittypet traits.

Then the massive clan truce began and Sunclan swore the Oath of protection. Wildstar was demoted back to a warrior position shortly after and Polkadots was demoted as well. Rainbowsong [RPed by Spotty] was promoted to the deputy position and Sunclan was awaiting the natural disasters that were supposed to hit the clans.

    ☼ COLOUREDSTAR

Acid rain fell from the sky and Sunclan was forced to leave their territory and find shelter in an abandoned school. Colouredstar was seriously wounded in the process along with many other of his clan mates. Rapidfire died from the wounds of the acid rain, resulting in another traumatic event for the clan.

The clan's camp had also been demolished by the acid rain; it's venom grasp melting away and burning up the camp's sheds and melting the plastic on the playground. Colouredstar had then decided that some new changes needed to happen in the clan. That they were depending too much on their kittypet roots. He took the initiative and started a new revolution with in the clan.

The school was located near an alley way of a twoleg town. Colouredstar had been out hunting one day and had meet up with his friend and former Sunclanner Wyvrenhill. The two had been excited upon their surprise encounter and Wyvrenhill told Colouredstar of the territory that they were residing in. The leader had gotten an excellent idea how his clan could take it's change and finally become something of it's own.

Colouredstar decided to drop any relations with the twolegs as their owners. He then announced to the clan that they would be residing in the school from then on, seeing as their former territory had been burnt down to ashes. I also decided that the clan needed their own independence, to be strong and to prove their strength to the other clans. He was tired of how they ridiculed them for their kittypet roots. He made some drastic changes to the clan.

He first made the clan neutral, willing to help either side. He then renamed the clan positions and made slight modifications. The titles, Boss, Underboss, Medics, Impressionists, and Holligans replaced the leader, deputy, medicine cat, designers, and sun warriors. Slayers, Thugs, The Ladies, Jokers, and Veterans replaced warriors, apprentice, queens, kits and elders. Colouredstar added two new ranks to the roster as well. The Consigliere, a rank specially formulated for the Boss's children and the Freedom Fighters, an elite group of Slayers who seek out other clans and see if they need aid doing certain jobs or aid in battle. They also collect fees for their services.

Several members were angered including Rainbowsong. She had been demoted during the announcing meeting and had been infuriated at the idea, leaving and turning her back on the clan. Lovelace, Colouredstar's mate was then promoted to the new position of Underboss. Colouredstar's son Freedomfighter was promoted to Consigliere. Sabrestar, possessing his young son Froskit interrupted the meeting and claimed that Colouredstar wasn't fit to lead. He had disappears shortly, threatening that the clan had not seen the last of him. The meeting drew to an end with the clan bonding together in the efforts to pull it all together.

Sunclan now serves as a Mafia styled clan. They await other clans to seek their aid then ask for a price in return for their services. They work as once big unit, hunting and training how to fight so they can prove to the other clans that they can hold their own without kittypet aid. They are a harder clan yet they share a more urban feel.

Things only continued to change more and more drastically from that point. Though Sabrestar had spoken out against Colouredstar's rule not long ago, he arrived back in SunClan and made amends with Colouredstar, returning to his former position as SunClan's medicine cat (then known as "Healers") under his original name Sabretooth. Things were relatively peaceful for the few moons after SunClan had moved into the school, adjusting to their new home. However, then another apocalyptic event took place in the form of meteors falling on and around SunClan's territory. In an effort to escape the destruction, SunClan temporarily sought shelter in ScarClan, however during the trip there, Colouredstar was struck by one of the meteors. He was stripped of every one of his lives as the Healers could do nothing to save him. During his death, Colouredstar apologized for the changes that he had made, saying that he was unfit to lead just as the Star Forest had told him. In an attempt to ensure it didn't happen again, one of his final decrees was to create the Divine position, which was to be filled by Frostpaw, who would from then on be SunClan's bridge to the Star Forest and make sure that SunClan was run the way it should be in the future.

    the beggining.

    RAVENSTAR - THE FOUNDING LEADER

Sunclan's origins actually started in Shadowclan. An ambitious warrior called Raven Wanted to prove that he could make a better clan than Shadowclan. Having no where else to turn he went into the city and began to recruit kittypets. Having enough of the life of kittypet, Elliefang and Ellen joined the now named Ravenstar. Eventually their clan was about the size of Shadowclan, however, Ravenstar ended up ditching Sunclan and crawling back to Shadowclan. However, Elliefang took over as leader and made Ellen her. Still she kept a paw in both worlds. Nothing much really happened until a hungry dog pack lead by Pongo drove out Sunclan and forced them to a place known as Sunclan grove. While there, Elliefang grew insane and left back to her two-leg home leaving Ellen in charge with her deputies Flamewing and Mufasa

The few Sunclan cats that were left to defend their territory were then driven out by a joint attack by the Blackheart Rogues and the Tribe of Many Storms. The Tribe of Many Storms then claimed Sunclan land as their own.

    ELLEN

Two years passed and then Sunclan along with Brody and his relatives and CometTribe {At the time they were pro-clan} drove out the Tribe of Many Storms and claimed their land back. During this battle, Calmnight, leader of the Tribe of Many Storms was killed leaving Elixor as the heir. While this was going on, a new group was forming called Death Pride, formed by Mufasa's brother Sgorr. An instant hatred was struck up between them and their were many disputes between them.

Ladycalm{RPed by Rachel} was medicine cat at the time with her apprentice Jaypaw But once he became a medicine cat he was seen less around the den and soon began to traverse between two clans. Finally deciding he was gone, Ladycalm took on two new apprentices, Bonanzapaw and Sabrepaw They trained under the eyes of her but Sabrepaw had a secret. Stormsoul was then promoted to medicine cat apprentice by Ellen. Once Sabrepaw and Bonanzapaw were ready to receive their names, Ladycalm was murdered by a Death Pride member. Soon they became Sabretooth and Bonanzaglory and along with Silentsoul were respected medicine cats.

Sabretooth had a secret however and only confided in his new medicine apprentice Painpaw{RPed by Stealthy} He secretly visited the Blackheart Rogues and conversed with their leader Philadelphia{RPed by Piney} and Staunton{RPed by Piney} Together they organized and ambush attack on Ellen and stripped her of her life. Not understanding they hadn't fully killed her, they dumped her in the river and went back to Sunclan. There, Sabretooth tried to convince them that Ellen was killed by Death Pride and that her last wish was for him to be deputy. Finding out the truth, their was a war but Sabretooth was prepared with the Empire of Tufani and the Blackheart Rogues there to help. Admitting defeat, Sabretooth took over and became Sabrestar.

    SABERSTAR + FLAMESTAR + MUFASA

Although he kept Mufasa and Flamewing as deputies, he promoted his own, Damon Painpaw stayed medicine cat along with Silentsoul. Their rule was bitter and a constant struggle between pro-clan and anti-clan. During that time Damon was captured by Windclan and Mufasa had built an army which composed of Riverclan, Windclan and Thunderclan. Another bloody battle ensued but the stakes were quite even, eventually Gravelstar said that if they gave up the battle Damon would be returned. Surrendering, Sabrestar left with his anti-clanners and Mufasa and Flamestar became leaders, splitting their lives 4/5. Their deputy was Lynxglare.

Once again things returned to an almost blissful state with Silentsoul promoting two new medicine cat apprentices Ace and Wraithpaw. A love had built up between Flamestar and Sabrestar and they visited each other in the graveyard which ended with her captured by anti-Sunclan. Whilst being held, Venomstripe and Smokefield captured Mufasa and brought him to Sabrestar. They made a promise that once they were in control of Sunclan again they would attack Bloodclan. Having both leaders, Sabrestar launched an attack on Sunclan. It was even until Sabrestar said he would kill Flamestar and Mufasa if they didn't give up. They surrendered.

Now back in charge of Sunclan, Flamestar chose to stay with her love Sabrestar and retired to become Flamewing. Mufasa was kept prisoner and is still prisoner today. They still had the bargain with Venomstripe and Smokefield but Sabrestar went back on it and instead attacked them. Thus then forming an alliance with Bloodclan. Everything was going fine, Sabrestar fought along side allies and against enemies introduced the new position Token Masters before mysteriously vanishing. At the time, his two deputies Mountaindew and Colouredvision took over and began to lead the Clan. Their deputies were Spottedglory and Maximus.

    ROOM ASSIGNMENTS

"The Solaris Kingdom resides on the shores of an oasis town once forgotten by time; though there are few buildings left completely intact, the adobe homes have been rebuilt and upkept by the Solarians who found the camp. Protected by old growth and new alike, the village's most important asset—its lake—exists solely because of a stream running down from the Arcane Mountains. The camp is decorated lavishly with banners, flags, and other Solarian flourishes, found most notably at the head of the town: the largest hut, one that could nearly be described as a fort, sits as the home of the Dawningcrown and their family. Across from it, sitting on the shores of the oasis, is an altar dedicated to helios; the space in between the Dawningcrown's abode and the shrine is where the Kingdom congregates for meetings. Aside from this area, the town is largely split up into areas for each guild, with Solarians predominantly choosing huts nearby their guild bases."

Due to the limited number of huts available in the camp, it was decided that Solarians should sign up for their rooms, so as to not put too much pressure upon their resources (those in question being living space). Solarians can room together either with their families or with 1-2 other roommates! It is expected that people take huts near their primary guild, though with many members residing in multiple guilds, it isn't by any means necessary. After 2 weeks of ic inactivity, the rooms are given up to make room for more active Solarians, though by no means does this have to affect things ICly.

To sign up for a room, simply fill out this short form below. If no hut in particular is requested, simply leave the "desired room" section blank.

EMISSARY MISSIONS - A recent addition made to further improve relations and get Solaris' name out there as well as to spread the gospel of proclans as well as to recieve help and allyship from clans they aren't as close with. Those names marked with a "☼" are priorities and it's heavily encouraged to take a mission. To further incentivise this a badge/Title will be made! YOU CAN TAKE AN EMISSARY FOR ANY CLAN (excluding: Lawless groups aka Exiles, Order, Ascendancy, Sanguine Ruins, or Clans that would normally attack Solarians on sight.)

    ☼ introduction

The Warfare hub is one of the four major Guild of Solaris Kingdom in charge of both defending and protecting the inhabitants to the expanse. Their main duties come in safeguarding, hosting raids, rallying Solarians together and sometimes hunting. They are headed by the current Shieldingsword Phexide who calls the shots and is in charge of upholding and making events for their guild. As all guilds it's expected one to be prideful of their standing as a member of warfare, they will compete in monthly challenged in order to be the superior guild of Solaris! In this hub member can discuss ideas/traditions/plans for the guild as a whole!

In order to join you can either make a guild joining thread or simply sign up here and act like y/c joined offscreen!

    FOCUS + ENEMIES

Solaris and by extension the Warfare hub are at odds with most anti-clans of Solaris but in particular they have active enemy status with the Exiles, Order and Colouredclan. Out of the three they have an open season on the Exiles as of (5/11) and Phexide has been given full control over raids.

    ☼ traditions/info

    GUILD COLOR

The color representing Warfare is a brilliant red, a passionate color representing both life and death. It is traditional for members of this guild to either wear the color on them or paint it onto their pelt when they go to war so they have a semblance of unity on the battlefield.

    GUILD BASE

"Warfare guild has a large, old building with an area for making weapons along with a small outdoor training arena"

The warfare base is a weathered down oldened place one filled to the brim of old raid scriptures and old dummies, it is a place where members can store weapons and practice, this building shadows over the training grounds, a large pit akin an arena where members can fight in gladiatorial battles to practice. Within the base their is a weapons room and more grimly a prison in the deepest central part of the building where political prisoners and captive can be kept.

    PRE-RAID FEAST

Set under the eve of battle the Warfare guild will get together one time to put together a feast of all of the expanse's cuisines, this food is to give them energy and strength for the coming raid. Along with this the bonfire will be lit and members are encouraged to dance/chant/contest with each other one last time and form better bonds, ones that will come in handy when they are in the thick of battle. Mead is often offered along with these gatherings.

    THE TEST

A monthly affair where the Shieldingsword puts the memebrs of the guild to 'the test' to see who is worthy of succeeding them/serving as their assistant. The test is determined by them and can be such things as intruding on enemy territory or fighting them on a 1 on 1 battle without the use of claws or weapons. It is completely optional to its members but those who pass the test given to them will earn a special title as well as they'll be deemed more worthy of succession up the ranks.

    ☼ introduction

The Commune Guild is one of the four major Guild of Solaris Kingdom in charge of upholding the more diplomatic pursuits of the clan, they lead ambassadorial charges, pursue new alliances and focus on both interclan and outerclan peace. They work heavily with the Warfare guild to achieve this though they are vastly different in approach. They are headed by the current Socialstar Genesis who's responsible for handling guild affairs and hosting meetings and other vast events. As all guilds it's expected one to be prideful of their standing as a member of warfare, they will compete in monthly challenged in order to be the superior guild of Solaris! In this hub members can discuss ideas/traditions/plans for the guild as a whole!

    FOCUS + ALLIES

Out of all the guild the Commune guild is the most emphasized over all, Solaris though by no means a dramatically peaceful clan wishes to be a hub of trade and prosperity to both themselves and to Agrelos a a whole. They wish to to strongarm a better connection between all clans both good and bad. They are currently allies with Wind Haven, Tribe of Unbounded Skies, Volary Heights, The Sanctuary, The Cartel, The Blackheart Rogues, Valhalla and finally Shadow Veil.

    GUILD COLOR

The color representing Commune is a pristine blue, one that radiates peace and coolness. It's a calm color and is mean't to separate them completely from their sister guild of Warfare. Often members of the guild will represent this color on them through the use of jewelry or pelt painting whenever they attend large scale gatherings.

    GUILD BASE

"The commune guild has a large atrium on the western edge of camp, with elevated steps for crowds to gather and discuss with one another"

The base is a pretty well lit and swept area of the camp, the Atrium opens up to the beautiful blue skies above so members will constantly be able to bathe in the sun of their god "Helios" the building itself is white and decked with paraphernalia like banners and wall art to make the base seem more their own. It is a place of discussion, where all can come to bring whatever opinion they'd like. It is by far one the bigger building and can easily host other clans if necessary.

    SOLARIS KINGDOM TRIAL GUIDE

Those in Solaris Kingdom are often able to settle their disputes on their own, however there are times where that simply can't work. Sometimes laws are broken or several Solarians are wronged by one's action; and oftentimes that is when the Solaris Kingdom Court comes in. Below, you will read the functions of the Court, the steps of a Trial, who the Judges are, and more. While Court Law and Judges may change, the basic premise of the Court should forever remain the same; fair and true and for justice first and foremost.

For the sake of an easy to understand guide, an example crime will be displayed throughout this thread; Examplepaw stole some bread.

    Terminology

CLAN LAW - Laws and rules expressed in the Solaris Kingdom guide; not always punishable by Trial.

COURT LAW - Laws and precedents created by the current Dawningcrown and their court; can be overruled by succeeding courts.

COURT - Levels of which Trials are held. There is a Dawn Court, a Midday Court, and a Twilight Court. Will also be used to refer to a set of Judges during a case. Explained in further detail below.

JUDGE - A title given to the trusted creatures of Solaris Kingdom, often older. They are held to a higher regard and expected to be unbiased. Explained in further detail below.

PRECEDENT - A previous ruling that affects new cases. Explained in further detail down below.

APPEAL - To request a case be reviewed by a higher court. Explained in further detail down below.

    Going to Court

Anyone accused of breaking Clan law or Court law can be brought to court and tried. If a situation causes enough outcry in the Kingdom, they too can be brought to court so that the outcry can be addressed and the perceived wrong turned into a crime. For instance, stealing bread is not a Clan Law, but if Examplepaw steals bread and everyone gets upset by it, it is still a cause of action. Wanting to prove yourself innocent/appeal your verdict is plenty of reason to bring yourself to court.

You can bring someone to court if:

    1. They break Clan law

    2. They break court law

    3. There is Kingdom-wide outcry over something done

    4. You want to appeal a verdict

These are often brought up ICly.

    Court

The Kingdom has three tiers of Court based on severity of the crime being heard and the power of the court to set a precedent or hear an appeal. Minor offences, like Examplepaw stealing bread, will start in the lowest court, while serious offences such as murder start in the highest court.

Dawn Court: overseen by a Suncircle Knight

This is the lowest court where minor law infringements are heard. Because of how minor the offences are there is typically only one judge to decide on a judgement. If a Suncircle Knight is unable to oversee the case, another Judge may be chosen. Any law made here is only persuasive to other courts.

Offences taken to this court: Petty theft, concerns involving joiners

Midday Court: overseen by a Duskbreaker

As the intermediate court, medium law infringements are heard here as well as appeals from the Dawn Court. There may be up to three judges on any given case to decide on a judgement. If there is no Duskbreaker available to sit on the case, a Suncircle Knight may stand in. The two other judges may be anyone with the Judge title. Decisions on law and law made here applies to Dawn Court and is persuasive to other courts.

Offences taken to this court: Discriminatory crimes, physical assault

Twilight Court: overseen by a Dawningcrown

Twilight Court is the highest court in the judicial hierarchy. Major law breaks are heard here as well as appeals from Midday Court. There can be up to five judges, but only for extremely controversial cases - the typical number of judges is three. A Dawningcrown must be one of the judges. Decisions made in Twilight Court apply to both lower courts and are persuasive for other Twilight Court cases. Judgements made in this court are final.

Offences taken to this court: Murder, treason

    Judges

Each case will have a number of judges overseeing it, with the number determined by the court the case is in and the complexity of the case. The number of Judges is always uneven so that a majority decision can be made. When possible, one of the Judges on a case should be a High Position designated to oversee the particular court the case is being heard in. Outside of designated High Positions, however, anyone who has been awarded the Judge title may be asked to serve as a Judge on a case.

The role of a Judge is to be an unbiased assessor of the evidence and potential punishments. If a Judge has a bias (such as being close to the defendant) they should announce their bias and remove themselves from the case.

    - High Positions who oversee courts can only be Judges for those courts to prevent them carrying opinions from the case to any subsequent appeal.

    - If a Judge consistently involves themselves in cases where they have a bias, or is found to be corrupt in some way, the Dawningcrown can strip them of their Judge title. If it is severe enough, they could be tried for meddling with the course of justice.

Dawningcrowns, Duskbreakers, and Suncircle Knights are automatically awarded Judge titles for their position, as they are necessities to the Court. However anyone can earn the Judge title by being consistent in the Clan and frequently attending Trials when they can - as well as simply asking for a Judge Evaluation to receive the title.

    Current Judges:

    Proceedings

All trials start with the Kingdom calling for something to go to court. It doesn’t have to be the Kingdom as a whole - as few as two members would suffice. To prevent the small requirements for taking something to court from being abused, a member with the Judge title must decide if it is worth going to court. Whoever decides that the offence is worth a trial is exempt from sitting on that case.

There is no need for a jury of peers in Kingdom trials because Solarians already decided that it was worth the matter being heard in court. In situations where a jury might be considered necessary (like an offence being controversial) there are already multiple Judges on the case, allowing for multiple opinions to be considered.

Once a matter is in court the Judge(s) on the case may begin to find justice. Judges can call for evidence and witnesses to determine the nature of the offence, and Solarians can volunteer to present evidence/statements. This process is to find the truth, not to fight. Semi- and High Positions may discuss the crime and potential punishment and bring the results of this discussion for the Judge(s) to consider.

Trials typically only need one sitting, but can go for longer if the High Positions want to contribute their discussion or if the case is considered complex/controversial. Trials begin and end by Helios’ Altar so that the desert God can bear witness.

When all the evidence has been given and all the witnesses have spoken, the Judge(s) will make a decision. If there are multiple Judges, the majority decision is the official decision. The decision is announced in front of a crowd, along with any actions that need to be taken as a result of the decision. These actions are usually, but not always, punishments. The results of the trial (and any actions taken) are written down for future reference.

    Precedent

The Solaris Kingdom follows a system of precedent in their cases. This is to make sure that decisions are consistent across similar cases, which makes some minor cases (such as anti-clanners joining the ranks) easy to predict. Past cases act as a template for current cases. However, if differences between two cases can be proven, precedent does not have to be followed.

Precedent works opposite to appeals - while appeals move up the court hierarchy, precedent flows down to lower courts. A decision made in Twilight Court must be followed by Midday and Dawn Courts. But similar to appeals only going to the next court along, precedent doesn’t apply to cases made within the same court. If one Dawningcrown decides that Examplepaw stealing bread is a crime worthy of exile, a future Dawningcrown can decide that Forinstance stealing bread only deserves community service, creating a new precedent.

If a case doesn’t count as precedent, it can still be used to try and persuade the Judge(s) to follow the ruling. If there are multiple precedents for the same thing, the precedent from a) the highest court and b) the most recent case should be followed.

    Appeal

If a defendant (or concerned Solarian) is unhappy with the decision at their trial, they may be able to appeal. An appeal allows the case to be heard in a new court with a new (set of) judge(s). Appeals are made from the Dawn Court to the Midday Court, or the Midday Court to the Twilight Court. You can’t appeal to a court your case has already been heard in, and you can’t appeal decisions made in the Twilight Court.

There must be a reason for the appeal to be made. Some reasons could be: a biased judge; information was withheld; new information has been revealed; a precedent was applied wrong. This list is far from exhaustive, so as long as it can be proven that something went amiss at the trial, an appeal can be made.

    Court law

Once a verdict has been given on a case, it becomes law and acts as a guide for how other, similar cases should be treated. This is how the precedent applies. court law can evolve over time in response to the Kingdom’s evolving morals, which is allowed by the appeals system. So while Clan law is fixed, court law is fluid.

Cases follow a naming convention so that they can be referenced easily. This convention is [Name of defendant] v The Kingdom [Year] [Courtname abbreviation]. If Examplepaw was tried for stealing bread in 2020, and the trial was held in Dawn Court, the case name would be Examplepaw v The Kingdom [2020] [DC]. This allows for appeals to be distinguished from the original case.

Links to previous trials can be found below with a brief summary of what happened.

    ☼ introduction

The Medicine Guild functions differently than other three guilds. While it is still a very open guild, it has more structure and rankings. It is a neutral guild, not entirely pacifistic, antagonistic, or religious, like it's counterparts. Here it's guildmates may practice the art of healing and gardening, two very life centered activities, as well as destruction and preparing someone for death. Solaris Kingdom had always had an aptitude to dance on the line when it came to its medics, preferring to teach them all sides of their future jobs, rather than just the pretty sides.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

Those in the Medicine Guild become quick to learn poisons and what herbs may hide scents the best, along with their usual teachings. They are in charge of the garden and its upkeep.

    GUILD COLOR

The Medicine Guild's color is green. The Guild often paints their pelts with green suns to show their pride of their primary guild during festivals and festivities.

    GUILD BASE

The Medicine Guild base is roomy and well-lit, as it has to be in order for the Healinghands to do their works. It doubles as the infirmary for injured and sick Solarians. The storage for herbs is near the back of the room. Beside the storage is a wooden table of sorts, with books scattered and stacked on top. Many of these are for students to study, although one is a guide book, in case the Healinghands are not present and someone needs help. It contains basic remedies and treatments, and instructs the reader on where to find basic first-aid kits in the storage. Herbs hang throughout the hut to dry, and it is not uncommon to find loose flowers or herbs around that have been taken down but not yet put away. Cots are set up along one of the walls for patients who need to stay for more than a few minutes, so they have somewhere comfortable to stay.

With the garden made after Thea Arcanium's reign drowned underwater in the Crater Pool, Solaris Kingdom had to make a new garden to tend to. This plot of land beside the Medicine Guild's hub, simply dubbed 'The Garden,' is well taken care of by the Medicine Guild as well as anyone with a green thumb. It's a raised section of land, bordered by driftwood and stone. A canopy is hung over it so that the plants inside are not scorched by the desert sun. While primarily used for herbs, as this garden is much smaller than the former one, many still sprout fruits, berries, vegetables, and flowers in the empty plots. Behind the Medicine Guild's Headquarters is a small clay fountain that works part of the time.

    HEALINGHAND TRAINING

In order to become a full Healinghand, the Students must complete a number of tasks. This is to ensure that they have the knowledge and practice needed in order to be trusted to take care of their Clanmates on their own. Students must complete eight tasks and one prompt.

    THE GUILDS

Solaris Kingdom has four Guilds that help it run and function. Each Guild had its own Guild Head, who is in charge of events, Guild meetings, and making sure everything is running as smoothly as possible. While being a part of a Guild is not essential to living in Solaris Kingdom, many Solarians endorse it, as it is a great way to create bonds and get to the nitty gritty of the inner-workings of the Kingdom! Oftentimes, as well, mentors and apprentices are paired up based on the guilds they are in. Solaris Kingdom would be nothing without the support of the people and the Guilds that keep them moving, so please consider joining the fun!

To join a Guild ICly, you can assume your character has been in the Guild this whole time or make a thread requesting to be a part of it! To join OOCly, you can go ahead and sign up here, or just click the link to the corresponding Guild and sign up there! The link will bring you to the Official Hub of that Guild and give you more in depth information about it.

    THE COMMUNE GUILD click!

The Commune Guild is also known as the 'party' guild. Their primary focus in the Clan is the Clans many festivals, celebrations, coronations, and socializing that are a part of the Clan's traditions. They are also in charge of making sure that Solaris Kingdom is on top of their allies! The Kingdom is a very social Clan, inside and out, hence why they have plenty more allies than they do enemies, and it is often the job of the Commune Guild to create events between allies and keep the bonds close. If an ambassador slot is open, the Commune Guild members have the first shot at taking the slot.

The Commune Guild's color is BLUE! The Guild often paints their pelts with blue suns to show their pride of their primary guild during festivals and festivities. The Commune Guild's Hub is [ TBD ], and the current Lightbringers are lavinia ! THE WARFARE GUILD click!

The Warfare Guild is often the place of tactics and strategies, however occasionally brute force is used to get points across. Their primary focus is to be sure that they, the primary fighting force, as well as their Clanmates are well and ready for raids, be it on others or themselves. They are nearly the opposite of their sister Guild in that they focus on the current problem Clans, aiming to keep them in line as much as possible. However due to Solaris Kingdom being a relatively passive Clan, the Warfare Guild is more used to keep up strength and train than it is to fight and conquer. Warfare Guild Members have access to the Turret, where they can be elevated above the Clan and be used as a sight into the desert.

The Warfare Guild color is RED! The Guild often paints their pelts with red suns to show their pride of their primary guild during festivals and festivities. ARTISTRY GUILD

The Artistry Guild has many responsibilities to help the Clan's inner workings. While 'Artistry' seems straight forward, members of this guild often help tend to structures to keep them secure, paint murals, sew together bags and blankets. These members also usually are those most devout to Helios, the patron God of Solaris Kingdom. While it isn't a requirement to follow him to be a part of this guild, it is expected that a portion of your crafts be gifted to him. Nonetheless, this Guild is far more carefree than its counterparts, and encourages originality and creativity. The Artistry Guild helps keep the Altar of Helios erected and clean, often sending a new creature every week to place a flower on the steps.

The Artistry Guild's color is PURPLE! The Guild often paints their pelts with orange suns to show their pride of their primary guild during festivals and festivities. The Artistry Guild's Hub is [ TBD ], and the current Goldenblood is "ICARUS" (played by elliot ) Any questions can be asked below, however each guild has it's own channel in the Solaris Kingdom Discord Server, and your answer/request may be answered faster there! FAQ

    HOW DO I JOIN?

Many join by way of adoption threads or by joining thread to hop in ICly! However it's not unheard of to skip those steps and make an intro thread instead, acting as if they've been around this whole time!

DO I HAVE TO PLAY A CAT?

All animals are welcome within the site's rules!

    WHAT IS SOLARIS KINGDOM'S ALIGNMENT?

Solaris Kingdom is a Pro-Clan! They try to stay out of trouble and much prefer to stick to their own. Reckless raids, captures, and tortures are not allowed and will be punished by trial - however Solaris Kingdom will not hesitate to help an ally in need. While they are pacifistic most of the time, they are still a force to be reckoned with. As per most of Agrelos, sex crimes and crimes against children are absolutely forbidden (ICly) and will be punished (ICly)!

CAN I PLAY A HIGH POSITION?

Not right away, unfortunately! Activity both ICly and OOCly will skyrocket your chances at promotion - being helpful all around will do the same! A surefire way to know that you're on the right track is if you're recognized with a shout-out at the Clan's weekly meeting! Solaris Kingdom also has frequent HP tryouts, so please look out for those if you're interested!

    I HAVE A QUESTION/SUGGESTION!

Whatever you want to say, feel free to ask around to speak directly to the current leader! Solaris Kingdom is packed full of traditions and fun, so it is very easy to get lost in the fray. At the same time, there are always ways to improve. You have a voice, don't be afraid to use it!

    history

The ancient history records of Solaris Kingdom were kept sacred by the members throughout the years, written in books that are now stored in home of the Dawningcrown.. The link to read this extensive history is HERE.

    traditions

RELIGION | [ GUIDE ] Solaris Kingdom's official religion is based around the sun god, Helios. Rather than 'praising' him, they think of him as more of a patron and guardian. It is believed that Helios watches down on the Clan via the sun, and protects when from darkness and evil. Helios directs them to bring justice to those who take part in evil, and they do so in belief that if they destroy evil from the world, there will be an eternal day lit by the sun. It is known throughout the religion that you are supposed to make the most of your life and to better the world, since there is nothing after death (that is, if your soul doesn't slip into another body!) This also ties in with one of the territory landmarks, the Sun Pond, where when the sun passes overhead it lights up a pool of water at the bottom that allows living creatures to contact Helios himself. No one in Solaris Kingdom is forced to follow this religion, but it is highly encouraged!

KNIGHTHOOD & CUSTOM TITLES | When promoted to Suncircle Knight, the Knight in question will have a ceremony in their honor. They will receive a custom name fit for their strengths and pride, a name that show-cases one of their best aspects.

DAWNINGCROWN NAMES | Because Solaris Kingdom does not worship StarClan, the suffix 'star' has never been necessary for a leader, but they aren't without beliefs. The Clan is based around and praises the sun, and therefore, all Dawningcrowns are encouraged to have 'sun' in their names in honor of the clan. It could be in their first name(Examplesun), middle name(Example-first Sun Example-last), or last(Example-first Sun).

ROYAL FAMILY |Because the Solarians believe that they are the warriors of the sun, it has become fitting that there would be royalty of the sun. The ruling Dawningcrown, their spouse, and their children are all considered royalty among the Clan. To symbolize this, the Dawningcrown wears a golden crown in the shape of woven branches and thorns, decorated with a sun as the centerpiece. This crown is passed down between Dawningcrowns. Along with being known as royalty, they are also given the titles to show it: the spouse of the Dawningcrown is called the Solar Consort, and the children are called Princes and Princesses. They keep these titles even after a new Dawningcrown has taken rule, only adding a "late" at the beginning(example: Late-Princess Examplepaw), out of respect for the past dynasty.

TRIALS | [ GUIDE ]Solaris Kingdom often uses it's religion and moral beliefs to justify riding this world of what they know as evil. One of the ways they do this is by holding trials under their God, where the accused is questioned and ultimately sentenced to a punishment based on whatever crime they've committed. Penalties can be anything from imprisonment, to torture, to even death.

TRADES & TRADE GATHERINGS | Solaris Kingdom has three main trades, all being special materials that are easily found and created inside their territory: gold, silk, and poison. The Beach Caves (as well as the many caverns in the Arcane mountains) are plentiful with gold. The Artistry Guild has many colonies of silkworms which members harvest silk to weave frabric from. As for poison, while no longer the strong suit of the Clan, Healinghands still grow poison in the Garden. These substances are often traded and gifted to the Clan's allies, as well as used for currency. Members, however, can trade any variety of objects and wares they find or create during these miniature events.

PELT PAINTING | Solarians are a proud people, and they like to represent their Clan whenever they can. Thus, painting one's pelt is often done before going to large events, raids, and ceremonies. Common paint hues to see on the members are white and gold, the clan's chosen colors, but many individuals sport the colors of their Guilds instead.

QUESTS | [ REQUESTS ] A tradition added to Solaris, Quests are given out by the current reining Dawningcrown(s). Their purpose is to send members out to prove their loyalty and dedication to the Kingdom, as well as strengthen the one partaking. However, these are meant to also be a task of self-discovery and problem-solving, helping to push each creature to discover what their strengths and weaknesses are, and to work on both in order to become better than they were before. The idea behind this is that by strengthening the individuals, the whole will grow stronger.

SUN FESTIVAL | On every equinox and solstice, Solaris Kingdom hosts the Sun Festival. It is a large, ally-wide party, feast, and formal dance, often accompanied by various games and branch events. A King and Queen is typically elected, and there is more often than not a Sun Tournament held. In this tournament, members of Solaris Kingdom and allied clans are paired up in twos to duke it out till the end. The winners are paired with the winners, and so on until there is only one left standing. The winner gets the title of Grand Champion and is awarded a badge.

SEASON SHOWER | On the first day of every season, Solaris Kingdom hosts a party to celebrate the birth of the current season. It can be an ally-wide party as well as feast that focus on the food that is special during that specific season. It is an all day event where it finishes at midnight, fireworks are launched into the air to the specific color of the season (spring is green/summer is yellow/autumn is red/winter is blue).

WEDDINGS | When it some to marriage, the Solaris Kingdom can be bit old school. If you want your union to be taken seriously by your clanmates and blessed by Helios there are a few things you have to do first. Your first step is a public announcement of your intention to court the person (generally courting takes a week+). During this time the entire group has to prepare the to-be-weds by having parties/flower arrangements/other such traditions until the actual wedding, where the where they'd be sworn under oath and bonded under the setting sun. Not many Solarians go this route of courting and traditions, however they are greatly respected if they do.

FUNERALS | While the death of a clanmate is a terrible thing for the whole Clan, Solaris Kingdom funerals are often large, Clan-wide events - anything but somber. These parties are to celebrate the life they lost, not to mourn their death. When a member dies, they are placed atop a flower-decorated float of logs at their funeral celebration. After a few words from those who knew the deceased, the bed is set up into flames, cremating the remains of their clan-mate so that the smoke may lift them towards the sun and give power to their God. Their ashes are then sprinkled in the sea, and so the party begins!

BIRTHDAYS | Birthday parties for any Clan-mate aren't as formal as other Solaris Kingdom events might be. Actually, they are quite the opposite, often being loud and crazy rave-like celebrations. Common events that take place during these parties are age initiations, bucket-list cross offs, dare competitions, and lots and lots of drinking games.

    titles

A new system reintroduced under Aurum, these are titles awarded to those who work hard in their guild and in the Clan.

TENDER | For those proficient in medicine, a gift that transcends even the Solaris Kingdom itself when there are those in need.

ZEALOUS | For social butterflies and those who participate frequently in events.

VEHEMENT | For those devoted to warfare and combat and have seen their fair share of battles and rigorous training.

GIFTED | For those exceptionally talented in the arts, whether it's painting, sculpting, music or philosophy.

KINDLY | For those eager to welcome newcomers and help them transition to clan life.

TASKMASTER | For those who host and complete weekly tasks.

VISIONARY | For those who devote ideas to the clan.

VIVACIOUS | For newer members who show great potential.

LOYALIST | For those who have been with the clan over a year ICly.

PALADIN | For those with multiple (4+) titles or are extremely loyal to the clan. A large party is held once a month for that month's Paladins!

    laws.

Below is the law of Solaris Kingdom's land. Any law broken - by a Solarian or anyone outside the clan - will result in trial under Helios. Depending on the crime at hand, punishments from demotion, imprisonment, exile, and even death are possible as sentences.

    i. The Dawningcrown's word is law.

ii. Respect and obey your higher positions. Any abuse of power should be reported to the leader.

iii. Any harm ( including: attack, capture, torture, rape, etc ) towards clan-mates, allies, children, and innocents is prohibited.

iv. Joiners are likely to be accepted, but may be turned away if they have bad intentions or a history of bad deeds.

    v. Revealing secrets, hidden tactics, etc. to anyone outside of Solaris Kingdom without permission is not allowed. Loyalty is required.

vi. Creative freedom is a given right to all Solarians, as well as individual freedom of sexuality and gender. Those found to be discriminatory of a clan-mate's views or identity will not be tolerated.

vii. Discrimination against clan-mates for any reason is not allowed.

    viii. All Feralfront rules apply.

    territory & landmarks.

Solaris Kingdom resides in the Derelict Expanse, an arid desert at the foot of the Arcane Mountains. While the desert seems both unassuming and exhausting to trudge though, eventually a small adobe-hut ridden town appears in the distance, surrounding an oasis. This is the home of Solaris Kingdom.

    CRATER POOL

Rested at the foot of the mountains, the Crater Pool used to be home to Solaris Kingdom. A storm raged for weeks at a time and eventually flooded the old home, forcing the Solarians out. Beneath the water fish and plants still thrive, weaving in and out of old homes as if they lived there all along. While a sore spot for many older Solarians, it has become a fun place for a quick swim as well as a treasure spot, since many of the former inhabitants were forced to leave many of their belongings behind.

    SUN POND

Although there is an easier to access altar within the Oasis Town, devoted followers of Helios are more acquainted with the Sun Pond. While the sun is in the sky, it's warmth makes the water bubble and fizz. It is believed that drinking this water as it is active will send direct messages from Helios - however Healinghands advise against this, as no message is worth the internal burns.

    BEACH CAVES

Along the Southern border of the Solaris Kingdoms desert is rough, jagged cliffs that overlook the expansive sea; however if you look carefully, there are paths worn into the cliffs by other animals and people, also eroded by the sea spray; if you follow one of these few paths down, you can find a tiny cove with a small beach, enclosed by a ring of cliffs, with a single split leading out to sea. During high tides, the beach is inaccessible, however the tide coming in over the years has made a cave form at the back of the cove, with stalactites hanging from the ceiling.

    CACTUS FOREST

Aside from the sweltering heat and unforgiving sun, the Derelict Expanse is relatively safe. The most dangerous part of the territory is the Cactus Forest, swarmed with spiny succulents and creatures that evolved to be unfazed by the tall green plants. Many will find termite mounds and ant hills inside the Forest, along with armadillos and lizards. Rumor has it that a cactus flower gifted to another is a sign of true love, however it is incredibly unsafe to try and retrieve the flower due to the nature of the cactus.

    OASIS TOWN

[ house sign ups can be found HERE ]

The Solaris Kingdom resides on the shores of an oasis town once forgotten by time; though there are few buildings left completely intact, the adobe homes have been rebuilt and upkept by the Solarians who found the camp. Aside from this area, the town is largely split up into areas for each guild, with Solarians predominantly choosing huts nearby their guild bases.

    GUILD LOCATIONS

[ more information can be found HERE ]

The guilds have various gathering places in the camp. The Artistry Guild's hub is a stout adobe hut with fabrics and paints littering every corner - it is lain right across from Helios' Altar. The Warfare Guild's hub is a large building at the front of the camp as well as a tower opposite of it. The Commune Guild's hub is in the corner of their camp, acting as a hangout spot as well as a partial-orphanage for lost children. And Finally, the Medicine Guild is a small but long hut, filled with cots and shelves for herbs. Beside it is the Garden.

    THE GARDEN

With the garden made after Thea Arcanium's reign drowned underwater in the Crater Pool, Solaris Kingdom had to make a new garden to tend to. This plot of land beside the Medicine Guild's hub, simply dubbed 'The Garden,' is well taken care of by the Medicine Guild as well as anyone with a green thumb. It's a raised section of land, bordered by driftwood and stone. A canopy is hung over it so that the plants inside are not scorched by the desert sun. While primarily used for herbs, as this garden is much smaller than the former one, many still sprout fruits, berries, vegetables, and flowers in the empty plots.

    welcome.

SOLARIS KINGDOM is a proud and artsy Pro Clan with a fiery passion for loyalty and the subjects of renaissance. The Clan's colors - gold and white - are shown across the land, adding a pleasing detail to their reputation for being loud, full of life, and partying day and night. Don't be too charmed by their vibrant culture though, for once provoked, they are deadly. All members are treated as family, no matter the differences in species. The current leaders of Solaris Kingdom are Queen Raeliana and Queen Meenah. If you have any questions/concerns/comments, feel free to PM them.

    HELIOS EVENT

It's hard to miss - the attention of their patron God, Helios, has lessened as the days go on. While no one is quite sure when it started, it became extremely serious when the Sun Pond stopped fizzing. One of their greatest connections to Helios is disconnected, and now the Solarians are fretting over what the next step is. How to they gain His favor again before losing Him? Will they suffer before they learn? Will Helios ever come back? In truth, no one in the Kingdom knows.

Welcome to Solaris Kingdom's Helios event! This event will be used to help solidify the Heliosian religion! The actions of your characters will mold the outcome of the final Helios guide - everyone who participates has a chance making additions as well as a difference! That said, all participants that post in this thread will be receiving a participation badge!

This event will span all of September 2020! Depending on where we are come the end of the month, it may leak over into October, but we will see!

    Event Details

This event will be Point-Based, meaning that almost every post made in this board or in direct relation to this event will gain you points! The top three winners will receive an art piece from myself. Here are some examples (I'm no professional and my art style does change, hence why I'm providing a few examples!)

    Religious 'Civil War'

As added interest for the event, there will also be a teamwork element. Helios will start out with His two epithets - Dawn Helios and Dusk Helios.

Dawn Helios is known to be a kind, benevolent God. He supports celebrations for most everything and endorses for everyone to live their best lives, by any means necessary. Many believe that having celebrations is already an offering to Him, as well as playing music and being generally artistic. In addition to that, plenty of Solarians will also paint murals or create jewelry for Him.

Dusk Helios is known to be more ruthless. Based on Helios from the older, SunClan days, He prefers justice and vengeance. Those who follow Him often believe that, to appease Him, Anti-Clanners and sinners must be brought to justice and be served judgement right away. This can result in harm or death, however so long as it is in the best interest of the Kingdom, then He endorses it.

While both epithets endorse offerings such as fruit, prey, handmade gifts, celebrations in their names, and so on, they also have clear lines where offerings don't cross over. The general idea is there, however it is up to the Clan to define what offerings can be for both epithets, and what offerings only serve one.

For this event, the discord server will have hidden roles for Dawn Heliosians and Dusk Heliosians! While ICly this can be a point of contention and internal strife, OOCly it can be fun! Help your fellow Dawn Heliosians throw a party, or gather your Dusk Heliosians for a raid against an enemy Clan! Whichever epithet's team has the most points at the end of this event will have a yearly-event dedicated to that epithet! The losing epithet will be timed six months afterwards.
