Sha hated when those said Starclan wasn't very talkative. Coldpaw was a very strong believer in starclan, and her beliefs ran deeper than she would ever admit. She had personally heard the whispers from starclan and thought her life was a gift. Whether or not others believed that was on them, but she admired Grizzlypaw for going to ask the stars anyway. "Starclan talks when they want to, hear recently it's every so often. I'd go with you, Grizzlypaw, if I knew the way but I have no idea where I am half the time." the feline joked with a smile, half talking to the feline who had just spoke, the other half way talking to grizzlypaw.

Ah finally! Two cats were gathered. The voices rang familiar in the she-cat's ears. they twitched ever so slightly as she waited for a good time to respond in between them making themselves be known. She loved Ivy, and she loved Lilypetal! The two were some of her favorite out of Windclan, and everytime she seemed to be doing something they were the first to appear. She adored that about them, and she always made that known when they appeared! This time, she let out a loud purr and a smile came onto her face as she saw their blurs of color approach and speak. "Hey guys! Glad you could make it! I'mma wait for some more cats first, just so I don't have to pretend like I know what I'm doing twice." she joked.

An injury? Surly that was something Coldpaw could help! The small gem lines ears perked up as she heard the other talking. She didn’t have herbs on her, and didn’t often carry them around but she was sure she could run to the medics den without an issue and grab something. If only she knew what the injury was. “What kind of injury do you have there? Is it a scratch, or cut, or bite- if you tell me I can run back to the medicine cats den and see if I can get you something? If it’s bleeding I’ll grab cobwebs too!” She announced proudly to the other. She loved to help with the little knowledge she had.

As she was given her task, the alabaster female gave the older Tom a nod of acknowledgement and quickly scurried off to begin her task. Oh how she couldn’t wait! She only hoped she knew enough to follow through on this and didn’t embarrass her clan mates. That could happen, and she feared it would. She wanted to always have a good impression with those around her and being unable to do her newly appointed job wouldn’t be the best way to keep that.

Cold may be blind, but she wasn’t deaf. When she heard cotton eat the plant, she could feel her skin turn white to match her fur. Luckily enough, cry herb she had wouldn’t kill you if you ate it- but it was used for inflammation and she wasn’t sure what the effect would be on a healthy cat, especially in the amount that Cottonkit ate. Oh, she hoped Birdbones showed up soon! “Well- uh... those were herbs used for bleeding, inflammation n stuff. One of them was cobwebs, then one was lavender- and the other was-“ she touched around a bit before her paw landed on it. “-still here thankfully. You probably ate lavender... uh I would have to ask Birdbones if it’ll make you sick but... why would you eat a weird plant?” Cold asked, trying to suppress her laughter and be serious.

    ✦ ✧ ✦

Cold was relieved whenever others arrived. It made her job not so tiresome and difficult. “Where are they hurt, Lilypetal? I can’t treat someone if I don’t know where they’re bleeding from.” The feline said, trying her best to shrug off tornadopaws uncaring nature. He didn’t mind he just beat up someone, and he didn’t mind anyone was trying to help. She didn’t like that very much but it was what it was

Coldpaw wished she could have been deputy, but sadly that wasn't written in the stars for her. She wished that Cloudwatcher, Lilypetal, or Ivy could have been made deputy, she would have loved that! But it wasn't meant to be- and the announcement only brought some sadness to her heart before it was filled gain with glee for the other. "Congratulations! You're going to probable make a great deputy, and one day leader! How ya feel? Excited? Happy?" Coldpaw asked, her egar ears stretching forward awaiting a response.

Medicine cat. The words sent her darting in the direction of those who spoke it. Was it another injury? Another fight? A dog attack or something worse? the she-cat only came with cobwebs in her mouth as she slid to a halt by the other members of the clan. She wasn't sure what was going on- but the familiar scents of her clanmates filled her nose. "Uh- is someone hurt? Do I smell blood? C-can someone please show me where they're hurt and tell me how deep it is so I can figure out how to help? It's kinda ahrd when I can't see but if someone can tell me I'd be good use until a full medic gets here!" the girl said, ranting on nervously as she gulped.

    ✦ ✧ ✦

Coldpaw already knew Rainswept, but that didn't stop her from approaching the feline when the familiar scent flooded her nostrils. While she may be blind, she was able to get around better now that she had adjusted more to her sense of smell and her ability to hear better than ever before. "Hey there, am I intruding?" the small apprentice asked, her blind eyes trying to lacate the exact position of the other but probably landing a foot or so off. Wow, this was difficult! Her nose could lead her to someone, but her eyes weren't able to palce them as well as if they were to tal. Onceone spoke, she knew where to look and where to pay her attention most to.

( hello everyone!! I'm radio and uh,,, I love carpentry and woodwork,,, I just switched my majors in college to vet studies andddd yep I'm not very good at this<33)

"I wonder who I would find in starclan! I bet I got some family up there, maybe a mom or dad. Who knows!" the she-cat said, her ears perking up a little as she would rise back to her paws to sniff those who were entering around her. Wow, this therapy stuff really seemed to work! And now they were talking about all sorts of things, she didn't mind it, really! She almost wished she could do this more often. "I hope when I die, I go and get to meet everyone that ever knew me. I think it would be cool!" she purred.

    ✦ ✧ ✦

As Ivy spoke, the girl let a true smile spread across her face. he always had a way of making her feel better even in the worst of times! "When you win, give me a shout-out! And, bring me back a mouse! I've been wanting a mouse all day!" Coldpaw said. While she wished she could also take part in the patrol, she was okay with the fact she wasn't going to be able to. She had different duties now, more important things to worry about. Such as, making sure the clan was safe. Keeping Tornadopaw from getting in any more fights. She had to learn herbs, learn what they did, learn how to treat different things, and get to know those around her. It was a full time job. She wondered how life could have been different as a warrior apprentice- but the thought seemed distant now. Why dwell on the impossible? The stars told birdbones to make her a medic, so a medic she was.

    ✦ ✧ ✦

THe older members sucked the joy from her heart as she heard them speaking. While she thought someone else would be much more qualified to be the deputy, she still was very excited for the warrior who use to go by Wilson. She didn’t really care who was deputy as long as she got to congratulate them and saw them everyday. She loved someone that was easy to chat to- and if the deputy was, it could be a tree for all she cared. But apparently- this one couldn’t be deputy because he never mentored an apprentice. Cold may be young, but she was aware that was a rule and understood how serious it was that he had mentored an apprentice. “Is that true? He hasn’t mentored an apprentice? ‘Cause that’s a big deal. She said, her blind eyes darting from voice to voice.

    ✦ ✧ ✦

Don’t get her wrong, she liked Cloudwatcher. But sometimes, the male made her want to rip her fur out. The stars were back! She had seen them herself during her accident where she had lost her vision! The medicine cats didn’t seem to believe her, and now the clan cats seemed to not believe her either! It brought her some frustration. “The stars are back! I heard starclan myself! They just aren’t all the way back yet! Only a little!” The girl protest to the older member of Windclan. He may be older and wiser, but Coldpaw stood by starclan strongly

    ✦ ✧ ✦

Bright shine had never upset her before, but right now cold was feeling upset. There was no way she could just do that, it was against starclan right? The medicine cat apprentices heart thudded as she listened to the words. Cotton kit- apprenticed by the new deputy who really shouldn’t even be appointed deputy because of the code clan cats were suppose to live by? “I-I don’t know Brightstar... I don’t know much but I do know the code is pretty strict. Are you sure this is a good idea?”

She could work with the information she had been given by Ivy. For a moment, she nodded her head at Ivy in thanks and then followed her ttracks back to the medicine cat's den where she would grab more cobweb, and lavender for the wounds. She knew only a few herbs- but luckily she knew the ones that could count. She needed to stop the bleeding, and then keep the wound from getting infected both internally and externally. The pure white cat would make her ay back to the scene, herbs in her paws as she would skid to a halt in front of the other who had a very loud b bood smell. "Okay- here's what I need." the child began, her lifeless eyes setting down where the wound would be as she attempted to gently feel for the cut with the tip of her nose on tornadopaw's neck. "Crowpaw- I think yu're here, if you are- please stay by Tornadopaw's side and make sure he's awake. Make sure his eyes don't get too wide or too small either- the pupil... I believe that's important." the medic apprentice said, her voice trailing off as she tried to remember her training she had only done for a few weeks. She may not know much, but her knowledge could be helpful. "Ivy, please help me put these cobwebs on the wound. Make sure I'm pressing it down good enough because I can't really see well enough to know. Not until I've trained more, at least." she said, before then attempting to get the cobwebs to press onto the apprentices neck. "Cosmo, please chew up this lavender and put it over the deep part of the wounds while I try and put cobwebs over it. A-and Tornadopaw- I need you to chew this herb up and eat it, it'll keep you from getting an infection." she said, hoping she was doing this all correctly.

These past few days had been hard for her. Coldpaw was so young, so full of life and ready to take on the world! But it seemed her destiny had other plans for her. Everyday she woke up, and she was faced with the problem of her blindness. Every time she stood, she was faced with the obstacle of keeping her balance. She waited for others to walk by, or for strong smells or noises just to be able to leave her nest in the medicine cats den. And when she did leave her nest- there was hunting patrols, border patrols, races, contests... you name it. All of which Coldpaw could not partake in. She had never gotten the opportunity to train as a regular apprentice. She was okay with that to an extent. The stars had other plans for her and she could understand that- but that didn't mean sometimes she got down in the dumps. Her only friends were the adults of the clan and her beloved mentor. But even her beloved mentor needed her own space from time to time. That's why when Coldpaw had woken up on this day- she had decided to travel to ShadowClan and speak more with Grizzlypaw whom she had met at the half moon meeting and his mentor. What she didn't know yet is he had moved clans, but even if she had known she probably still would have come regardless. She just needed some kind of interaction- and they could always trade herbs too!

In her jaws, she brought Burnet. The herb was good to reduce bleeding. it also helped with urinary tract issues. This was a herb Windclan had a good bit of, but ShadowClan probably didn't. As well as that, she had brought goatweed. This was used to help treat anxiety and depression as well as sore muscles, bruises, etc. This was another herb more commonly found in Windclan- so she hoped the ShadowClan medics could appreciate her offerings. But aside from that- it had taken her a very long time to actually get to the ShadowClan border. She relied mostly on her nose and her memories of whenever she once was a kit with vision. In her hazy eye- she saw blurs of color that kept her from hitting trees and rocks. While Windclan didn't neighbor a border perfectly, she still made it to the edge of their territory within a couple of hours. it took a lot of sniffing and using context clues, but she had eventually gotten there. She had left with the sun was barely up, and now it was roughly lunch time. The sun would be high in the sky with clouds coming over and covering it every so often. It was probably going to rain soon, she could smell the clouds heavy with water in the air.

So there the alabaster female sat. She had sat down along the border (probably accidently a bit inside of it) with the two abundance of herbs sitting in front of her paws. The pink scars along her head and where her tail should have been were the only things that weren't white on the she-cats body. Well, that and her blind brown optics. She awaited someone to greet her.
