Coldpaw wished she could've became a warrior. While she loved her job, it was often saddening that she was never going to be able to do the things the other cats around her could. if she hadn't have lost her sight, she probably would have been a great hunter and fighter. She may have caused a bit of trouble here and there- but she had no doubt that she would've been an incredible warrior! Just as she has envisioned as a kit! She had often called herself Coldstar, queen of all the kits! The leader who sent the younger children on hunting patrols and to go find things she liked, like feathers! But sadly; she would never have that opportunity or be able to tell anyone what to do. Well, unless she became a medicine cat and trained an apprentice. But that- that was moons away.

Coldpaw would shake her head to get the thoughts to exit her mind before she prodded into the warrior cats den upon hearing two voices and the familiar smell of a moss ball (her favorite toy as a kit). SHe had remembered playing mossball with Ivy- that had been nice. She would kill to relive those memories just one more time! "Hey guys! Whatca doing in here? Something fun I hope!" the apprentice inquired, her golden brown eyes drifting from either cat (or where she suspected them to be). While they were lifeless, they held a certain light about them.

    ✦ ✧ ✦

Was it wrong that Coldpaw was somewhat glad she hadn't been there when Brindlepaw had joined the stars? For once- she had been out and about, not within the camp. She should feel guilty about fetching herbs and exploring instead of trying to save Lilypetal's apprentice- but she didn't. She knew she wasn't a good enough medicine cat apprentice to help even if she had tried. And she couldn't imagine the baggage she would have to carry if she witnessed another death. Duckstar had been enough for a lifetime- and she didn't want Brindlepaw to become a tragic memory to her. She would rather remember them how they were- not dead.

The pure white feline would approach and offer to nuzzle her friend, Lilypetal, on her chin as she made her appearance. A comforting gesture, if you will. Coldpaw didn't know how to act- or how to feel. This was a sad moment- and Coldpaw wasn't very good at being sad. Lilypetal couldn't be happy even if she tried right now. Coldpaw knew that. So there was no need to try and make the female smile again. After all, this was a funeral. "I'm sorry, Lilypetal." she said simply as she would pad off to sit by herself.

So many cats! Coldpaw hadn't had interaction in so long, she was almost trembling at the thought of just being able to communicate with someone else- and now it was coming true! That was, of course, part of the reason she had come here... Most of the reason, really. But- she did intend to learn a thing or two about herbs while she was there as well. "Thank Oakstar!" she said quickly to the leader before turning her attention to Owlgaze and spidervenom. Her blind eyes would rest where their voice had come from and she would offer them a warm greeting smile. "I-I don't thin our warriors have been sent out just yet... But I'm also not very sure. Brightstar hasn't sent anyone out and I don't think anyone has gone out of their way yet... But I dunno. I could be wrong." she said with a slight shrug. "Windclan is mostly okay- I guess... But like I said before, Birdbones is missing and I guess I could use the company. And-and I wanted to learn a thing or two! Maybe see and elarn your kind of herbs that Windclan doesn't have just incase I need it one day!" she announced with a smile.

Then, she heard Cactusbite. Normally, she would take offense to the blind joke- being that she hadn't fully accepted her identity yet... But today, she didn't mind very much. She would give Cactusbite a nod of greeting, similar to the one she had given the other two before speaking. "Yeah- that's right! How do you know who I am? And- yeah, blind spot is... erm.. witty." she said, forcing out a half-laugh.

    ✦ ✧ ✦

Coldpaw thought the tunnels had collapsed long ago, but she was sure one or two still stood. It would seem as though the feline before the gathered had gotten themselves into a tricky situation. Coldpaw knew a thing or two about getting stuck in tricky situations that she had no business being in- how else do you think she lost not only her eyesight but also her tail? As a child, she should've known better than to travel outside of Windclan territory on her own. The consequences could have been deadly but luckily they weren't' and she was able to stand before the others today and offer her help and 'small' amount of wisdom. As she would grow older and more experienced, she would probably be better trained than what she currently was with more wisdom and words of advice to share. just like the former medicine cats before her, and somewhat like her mentor. But how Coldpaw ended up with the others was simple- Coldpaw had heard Brightstar speaking and decided to investigate. And when she got there, she could smell the unfamiliar reek.

"I second whoever asked who that is- but they smell... Like infection... Sort of..." Coldpaw said, wrinkling her nose up as she leaned her head down to sniff the motionless body. "Wait- are they unconscious? Oh no, maybe we should get Cloudwatcher! I don't know how to wake someone up- oh... Starclan.." she said as her voice broke out into a panic.

    ✦ ✧ ✦

She needed a break. Everything was happening so fast and she wasn't able to keep up with all the events that seemed to surround her. Duckstar's death had been one thing, but then it just kept getting worse and worse. It was like a downhill spiral that had been created that no one could stop It was like they were all rolling towards some kind of inevitable fate. Coldpaw had never felt so worrysome in her life- as if something was wrong with the stars that hung above her head or the grass that grew at her feet. She just knew it. Brightstar was acting different, in a way the apprentice had never seen her before. She always seemed to be so happy and go-lucky but now she was telling people off, being very rude and blunt and seemed not to care much as to interact with her clanmates and friends. Not to mention- she was making major mistakes that Coldpaw felt she normally would have known better to do. Making Cottonkit an apprentice at four moons old? Promoting Wilson- Turned Blacknight- into deputy when he had never trained an apprentice and was far from the best choice? It was all too much. Everything felt so out of body- and it had only gotten worse whenever Birdbones had been outed and Brightstar had announced to the clan that her mentor didn't even like the stars. It made Coldpaw feel as though Starclan had never actually came to Birdbones- and even if they had, Birdbones' probably had not even wanted to train Coldpaw. Then- to make matters worse- she had just disappeared.

If she had sight, she would have been able to stop her mentor from slipping through the shadows while she slept. Or maybe if she were a better apprentice- she would have smelled the medicine cat preparing her things and leaving the camp! But she hadn't. And while she didn't blame herself for being the reason Birdbones' had left, she did blame herself for being the one who hadn't been able to stop her. For such a young and naïve brain, that was a hard hit to take. But it wasn't only that- it was the weight of the world. It was Starclan's call, it was the meeting that had been held for all the high positions of all the clans. When she had gotten there- she had known it was important. Not only had it been a beckoning call for herself and most of the others- but Bloodclan had gotten it too. And Bloodclanners didn't even believe in the stars. They must have known, or felt, it had been important enough to be there. Before Coldpaw had even arrived on the scene and smelled the scents intertwining with each other- she knew instantly this was something incredibly important and was not to be taken lightly. She had even suggested to the others that had gathered perhaps it was an omen. It hadn't exactly been an omen- but the outcome was just as bad as she had expected it to be.

When she had returned home, she was so exhausted she had just collapsed on her nest in the medicine cat den. Her eyes would gently come to a close as she would drift off into her dream world. She had no time to process what had just happened- she just needed to sleep and think about it later. That's all she could do- right? It had taken her all but a moment to drift off. Normally; Coldpaw would dream. But ever since her blindness she dreamed in darkness, in blackness. She had been so young when she did have sight it felt like a faded memory- something someone else had possessed rather than her. The times she did dream vividly, in color, she knew it was a dream. Her mind seemed to be forgetting what things looked like and they were just wrong. Sometimes, in a dream, she would catch a mouse. But it would have fangs, or be orange. She knew that wasn't right when she was awake- but it didn't seem to matter much what was real when she slept. But now- more than not, she dreamed in darkness. As she would see things everyday is how her mind processed her sleeping. The colors would dull when there were colors- and there was no detail or vibrancy anymore. Everything she had once known about the world was fading. And it brought her a sadness she had never really had to feel and had yet to truly process.

But this time; it was different. The moment her eyes closed and her brain had fully fallen into its deep sleep, something unexpected would begin to happen. Like before, when she had heard the voices when she was dying from her dog attack, she could almost hear Starclan again. Chatting. They were rushed voices, like they were trying to talk quickly and quietly enough that no one could hear them. There was nothing there but the faint hushed voices of her ancestors. No color, no music, no paw steps. Just overlaps of felines talking. She tried to listen closely- she needed to know what they were saying! She would try and pad closer to the voices, but no matter where she went, the whispers still seemed to be just as far as they had been before with the same hushed silence they had once had. "H-hello? C-can you please speak up? I think I-I'm lost." the she cat would say, her voice echoing in the darkness she seemed to be standing in. The second the words would escape her mouth-silence grew from all around. Everything suddenly stopped. As if she had interrupted a very important meeting that she was never suppose to be a part of. She felt unease surround her. She shouldn't be here- something was wrong.

The hot breath of someone behind her would be what caused her to turn herself around and search for the danger. But when she turned she was surprised to find that the face before her was colorful. This seemed to be one of her dreams she had in color- but it also seemed to be too real to just be a dream. Maybe if she closed her eyes tight enough- she could wake up. But she couldn't drive herself to do it. She was too amazed by the detail of the cat before her. He was brown- a tabby with dark brown stripes that seemed to circle his face. He had a white spot right above his deep-black nose that seemed to be so detailed she could see the speckles within it. He had deep yellow hues and he seemed to be looking straight into her soul. She could see his pupil move as she inspected him, and she could feel his breath against her face. He had scars lining his jaw- but nothing detrimental. He looked like an average cat with a sad face- and for the first time in her life she was happy to be asleep. Or was she? Was she really asleep or was she dead? Maybe she had died from exhaustion. This was too real to be a dream!

The feline would take a step back, stumbling onto her paws and tripping up a little. As she would instinctually turn her head to her paws to regain her balance- she could see the white she possessed. Her paws- the pure alabaster color she had once loved so much as a kit. Oh- how she had taken this all for granted! Maybe she could stay here forever. As long as she could see- maybe being dead wasn't so bad? But the tense atmosphere snapped her from her thoughts and drew her attention back to the large male that hovered over her. He seemed to be looking at her judgmentally. Almost as if he were ready to throw her back into her nest and send her home. he didn't seem to look at her with hate- but rather a panic to get her gone, no matter what it took. "There's some things you need to learn, kid." he said, his voice seeming to boom through the darkness. But then, his judgmental eyes would drop- and he would lean down to look the white kit in her golden-brown eyes. He would drop his tone into a whisper and then say to her, "But there are also some things you need to see."

She was jolted from the darkness and she found herself falling to the Earth. A loud 'thump' could be heard when her body would hit the ground. She opened her eyes quickly to find her vision still littered with brightness and detail. Colors all around her- trees, leaves, grass, bugs, birds! She let out a quiet laugh as she tried to take in all the sights. Where was she? How had she gotten here? Why could she suddenly see? The questions loomed over her but she didn't care. She could stay here forever! Or at least for those first few moments she thought she could. But then... Things changed.

Dark clouds covered the sky, and before she knew it she was walking in thick mud. The pure white cat could see her paws becoming polluted with the substance. She would lift her paws high and higher to escape being trapped in the mud. She could feel fear prickling up into her throat, but the beauty of the colors around her was enough to keep her maw sealed. That was- until she saw a cat that looked somewhat familiar. "Hey- you! Uh- Windclanner! Where am I?" the cat asked- her neck stuck out as she noticeably got the felines attention. They would then begin to walk towards her, very slowly. "Oh, thank goodness you heard me! I was getting worried I'd be alone here forever- I mean, I don't mind all this but- the rain and... And... Uh- am I dead?" she asked bluntly, looking to the figure for answers. But the calico feline continued to walk closer and closer to her, seemingly staring her in her pupils but in a way that Coldpaw could feel the eerie tension- this cat was not friendly.

Coldpaw would start to back up as the cat got closer. The feline reminded her much of someone at camp, but she couldn't put her finger on it. After all, it had been so long since she had actually seen anyone! She still wasn't able to pinpoint the exact person when the cat got nose to nose with her, a wide and eerie grin stretching across their maw. She would have stopped struggling, and rather stared right into the depths of the feline she felt so uncomfortable being around. And then- she would see it. A shadow. But not just any shadow- not a shadow near the cat like usual- this one was a shadow within. She couldn't quite explain it- but she could see it. And she could feel it. She could feel the absolute darkness- the chill of the evil within. And she could see the pupil dance around like the shadow lived in a body that was there's by right. And it wasn't. Was that was Starclan had been warning them about? Shadows that clung on to your pupils and made you evil? She had no time to ask the question before suddenly she fell straight through the mud- it jerked her breath away as she slipped through the nasty substance and darkness overwhelmed her yet again.

    And then she woke up.

The feline sat up and immediately began gasping for air. The familiar darkness of her lack of sight surrounded her, and she could help but feel an agony all the colors and details were gone. But that was the least of her worries- how had she had a dream like that? And why had she? Was Starclan sending her a message or had she died and came back? Was it all in her head? No... No... It was too real to all be in her head! Coldpaw's fur stood on end as she would jump to her paws, visibly shaken as she would stumble outside of the medicine cat den and callout for anyone who cared to listen. "I-I need Ivy! Please! Please please please someone get me Ivy!" she needed her friend. She needed to tell him everything that just happened.

To anyone who saw her, you could see her fur was sticking up and she was in pure panic mode. her lifeless eyes would be darting around wildly, she would be shaky and her voice would seem too fearful to be her usual tone. She would be twitching ever so slightly in her ears and she'd be physically disoriented.

    ✦ ✧ ✦

Coldpaw was happy for the first time in awhile she was one of the first to appear at the border. While she wasn't the first- it was always nice to not be gathering in a preexisting group of felines whom made it hard to converse or figure out what was going on. But for once, it seemed as though Coldpaw was the one that was being looked for. That hadn't happened to her before! Well- cats came looking for her if she were in trouble or someone was hurt... But never a visitor from another clan like she had done before. The pure white feline had been gathering herbs (or sniffing out for herbs) when she stumbled upon the familiar scent of the medicine cat apprentice from Thunderclan. Oceanpaw! She recognized the apprentice anywhere! Well, maybe not recognized, but smelled.

The feline would approach Oceanpaw and offer the feline a nuzzle below the chin in her way of a 'warm' greeting. She really only did this to felines she felt close to, or a bond with. While she didn't know OCeanpaw all that well, she did find the medicine cat apprentice to be a closer friend to her than some of her own clanmates. Sad, but true. "Oceanpaw! Whatcha doing here? I think Birdbones is still missing if that's who your looking for." she said with a frown before continuing. "Have you come to spend a night? It's pretty cozy in the medicine cat den! I can make you a nest, o-or you can take mine!" she offered with a grin, her childish demeanor seeping through.

    ✦ ✧ ✦

Coldpaw may have a few things that Oceanpaw didn't- perhaps she even had it good. But she also struggled with a lot of things at a deeper level than what someone could touch on the surface. Her happy go-lucky front was actually a cover up of the sadness she felt when she was alone. How much she despised herself for being blind and how much she hated that the medicine cat who was training her had left and she hadn't noticed. She hated how she was unable to see the details in leaves and the faces of those around her. All she saw was a blur of color in one eye But it was never good enough because it couldn't distinguish one being from the next unless they stood feet apart with nothing but a solid background without little things such as trees, rocks, twigs, etc. While she had an amazing clan, and a few amazing friends, she had never been able to fully accept her mistake that had lead to her inability to see. If she had sight, she would be a warrior cat apprentice right now and probably would have never learned another thing about herbs. Granted; she wasn't forced into this position, she had wanted it. But she only had wanted it because she knew it was all she could have.

But none of that mattered right now. Her sadness was tucked far away in the box she shoved it in during the day to give herself the happy go-lucky personality everyone adored her so much for. Also- she adored it herself. It made things easier to handle. It was almost like a crutch- something she used to push the negative thoughts far out of sight and lock the box behind her. "I think we could learn a thing or two from each other! I'm sure there are some herbs I know from Windclan territory that Thunderclan doesn't have, and vice versa." she said with a gentle grin in the direction of the Thunderclan cat. When she had spent time in Darkclan, she had done something similar and just traded off her knowledge of Windclan herbs with the Darkclan medics who did the same. It gave her a wider variety of knowledge- maybe her and Oceanpaw could do the same and benefit greatly from it. Who knows when they may need a Windclan specific herb, or a Thunderclan specific herb! "Cloudwatcher is the only 'real' medic around right now. Birdbones and Boasong uh... Yeah, they're just not here." she said, pushing the subject away for a moment. "Cloudwatcher has been filling in for them with my training and whatever the clan needs. He was a medicine cat long ago, so perhaps you could learn a thing or two from him as well." the alabaster female commented, thinking back to all the times Cloudwatcher had helped her with basic skills.

"Is Sunflowerglow not a medicine cat? What do you mean by 'advise us'?" Coldpaw would ask with a gentle tip of her head. She couldn't quite understand what that meant- but perhaps if she had been a part of the Thunderclan ranks it would have made more sense than an outsider. Maybe she had been wrong, but she could have sworn Sunflowerglow was a medicine cat or something. But then, of course, Coldpaw didn't really know much because she was newly promoted in her position. "Are you nearing getting your full name?" she asked eager to keep the conversation going. "I can't wait until I get mine! I'm counting down the moons!"

    ✦ ✧ ✦

Coldpaw soon adjusted to the fact that the cat speaking was indeed, a Starclanner. Imagine her surprise when she had pieced together the mysteries! She sat here before a cat that had walked many moons ago- it brought her comfort and at the same time, it brought her agony. Something had to be very wrong for the stars to walk amongst the regular cats- and after the old cat spoke, her fears were confirmed. Something was wrong in Starclan- and while the cat was very vague about this, Coldpaw knew it was something very serious and sinester. She knew the warning came with an importance she was yet to comprehend. If she were a full medicine cat, maybe she would be able to piece the omen together a little better. But coldpaw was just an apprentice in medicine and she still had much to learn. She had never visited moonpool, she'd only spoken with Starclan once during her accident, and she didn't know how to process the words given to her by the feline of the stars. It was all a lot for someone like Coldpaw- and for a split second she wished she had someone to lean on to catch her from slipping and falling. That's what she felt like doing.

Coldpaw could feel her body tremble as the starry feline let out their warning. She knew not sleeping couldn't be the answer- maybe Flightstep just meant to keep themselves spiritually awake? But she knew this warning made her fearful enough she probably wouldn't be sleeping any time soon even though she knew it wasn't exactly what Flightstep had meant. Well, that's what she would think logically, of course. "Is Starclan going to keep coming to the medicine cats? Are we going to be able to guide out clans through this like all the medicine cats of the past?" Coldpaw asked, concerned about her part in all of this. Medicine cats (and their apprentices) were meant to take in and decipher messages. They lead their clan and offered advice much like elders. Was this a job that was out of the herb-holders paws? "O-or is Starclan going to come to us all? Are we going to be guided!" she said, a small amount of panic obvious in her voice. She needed to know if the stars were going to contune to guide them through these hard times. If they didn't, she wasn't sure anyone would be able to figure out what all this meant. Surely, they would die without the guidance. Taking STarclan with them.

Coldpaw would then turn to those around her, her cold and lifeless eyes scanned the bodies around the room with her singular eye that showed small bits of blur of color. "W-we need to have some type of meeting! L-like leaders and deputies have one, then medicine cats and their apprentices have one... B-because I think... I think there's a lot we need to unstring and figure out!" she announced, hoping someone could agree with her idea. There was no way everyone speaking at once and gazing at the starry feline, nothing would be figured out if they continued to over-voice each other and ignore those around them. Or- ask these important questions. After Flightstep and the other starry feline left, they needed to do some chatting. "Is there a way around this journey? G-Gladestar is right! Some aren't going to be able to make it!" like Birdbones, being frail as it is. Or like the kits that are very young or all the members in the medicine cat den that were recovering from severe injuries. And like Coldpaw- who would guide her? She was blind and young herself, and her balance was off due to her missing tail. Would any cat walk beside her the entire time? That would be too much work- she could guarantee. They may just abandon her at camp in the place of no-stars! The thought made her gulp.

    ✦ ✧ ✦

A large open wound on her chest. That was first and foremost. Perhaps if Coldpaw wasn't already quick into action, she would've thanked Cosmosprings. Sometimes, the alabaster female didn't know if she'd ever be able to be a medicine cat apprentice without the help of others. Without the feline here to guide her- she would have to put her nose inside the would and feel for a star and end. Could she have done it, yes. Would it have been a complete blood bath all over her face? Yes. "Okay- I'm going to take some burnet- this is going to stop the hemorrhaging- if she is- and help the blood clot up. I-I need you to get her awake enough that she can eat it! Or just get her to swallow! I-if you put it in her mouth, and rub h-her neck, it should make her swallow if she's in shock!" she said, trying to remember the tricks she had picked up from visiting other clans. She would then offer the herb to Cosmosprings as she would expect him to do it while she continued working on the feline. "Cosmo- can you do that for me? Or wake her up enough she can chew it herself." Coldpaw said, lifeless eyes focusing on the blur of red she could see from her one eye. "Now- I'm going to put lavender on the wound to help it from getting infected- and cobwebs after that to keep the wound together." coldpaw said. She really had learned a lot in the past week since her mentor had been missing. Not just from Cloudwatcher, but from Darkclan and ShadowClan specifically. "I-if something is broken... I-I don't know. I can get some bindweed a-and try and bind it around wh-where something might be broken to hold it in place and promote healing! B-but I really don't know. L-lets handle bleeding first a-and then someone find Cloudwatcher! He might know what to do!" the feline announced.

    cloudwatcher

    ✦ ✧ ✦

Upon the mention of the possessed leader, coldpaw gave a light shuffle of her paws. She had hoped Birdbones would have gotten word from starclan- but it appeared as though she hadn't, making this conversation ten times harder to be had. "Uh- Cloudwatcher…. I-I think I did." Coldpaw said, her voice low as she thought back to when Starclan had visited her in that dream and presented a windclan cat to her that had a shadow dancing in its eye. "I-I don't know for sure but... Starclan showed me this cat from windclan and something was off about them. But- I don't know what." the feline said, taking a small break from the words.

    ✦ ✧ ✦

Ivy made her feel so much better no matter the circumstances. While she had been sad since the medicine cat had recently disappeared, Cloudwatcher and Ivy had really been her rock through all of it. Coldpaw didn't have a family to call her own, but honestly Cloudwatcher, Ivy and Lilypetal were the closest thing to blood-relations that the young apprentice could imagine. While she did have two littermates, Eveningkit and Mudkit, they were never around and weren't even apprentices yet! They also were going to be warriors- and that made her highly jealous. At least with the three felines she held dear they ere already adults that could direct her and comfort her rather than littermates that constantly proved they were better than the alabaster female. But none of that mattered right now anyway- after all, Ivy had asked about an imaginary herb. Not her family.

"I don't think I have a herb to get you out of stuff- but if you wanna help me look for herbs or something I'm sure that's excuse enough to not have to clean out a nest or go mark the border!" Coldpaw announced warmly. She couldn't imagine anyone wanting to pick herbs over actually going out and being a warrior. But Ivy was a different breed of cat than most were. he was just... different. In a good way! That's why Coldpaw loved him so much. But then- he continued on and he asked the hard questions she struggled to find the answers for. The alabaster female couldn't help but glance down where her paws would be (a habit she had formed from when she had sight) and would let out a sigh. "I dunno… It's been hard... I'm lonely a-and I don't have a family, ya know?" she said, shuffling her paws a bit as her voice quieted down. "My only denmate was Birdbones and Boasong and they're both gone... And I don't have a family to go talk to... None of the other kits will play with me and I can't see enough to join the others... I guess I just feel really left out."

    ✦ ✧ ✦

Coldpaw had just been doing her usual routines whenever she had accidently startled the female that had been resting in the medicine cats den while they healed and were able to use their bodies functionally again. She could tell by the quick shuffle of the air around her and the quick movement of a blur (that she could see out of one of her not fully blind eyes) that Shrike had been somewhat startled by Coldpaw stirring about. "Sorry Shrike, didn't mean to scare you! Uh- how you feeling? You feeling better yet? M-maybe in the next few days, or week, you'll be able to get out of here and get back to your normal routine." Coldpaw said to the feline as she would pad up and offer a gentle nuzzle of greeting to the other feline. "Would you like some poppyseeds? O-or do you think you're mostly okay?" the alabaster feline asked.

    ✦ ✧ ✦

Nothing mattered. Not her herbs, not her den, not her nest, not the kits she was playing with. All that mattered right now was that Birdbones was back! Coldpaw could smell her scent from where she stood. The white feline wasn't one to hesitate normally, but in this scenario she hesitated even less. If that were even possible. The white feline would be running as quick as she could in the direction of her mentor and would attempt to give her some sort of tackle-hug. "Oh Birdbones! Please never ever ever leave me again! I was so lonely! I went to Darkclan, and I went to ShadowClan, and I even had some clan cats come here! I missed you so much and CLoudwatcher is cool but he's not you ya know? I promise I will never let you down ever again just please don't leave!" she said, rambling on as she would attempt to dig her face into the small feline's chest fur.

    ✦ ✧ ✦

Coldpaw was the next to appear behind Cloudwatcher. Coldpaw recognized the new cat's scent from when she had been on the windclan broder and coldpaw had been there to welcome her into the clan. While the white feline didn't know much else about the former Bloodclan feline, she was overjoyed that there was another face around the clan. "Hey there, Hemera! It's me- Coldpaw! Whatcha up to?" the medicine cat apprentice asked. //short ahh im so sorry

    ✦ ✧ ✦

Coldpaw couldn't believe what she was hearing. The leader really was off- maybe the dream- or rather vision- she had was actually correct. Was there a shadow dancing around the leader? If not- why was Brightstar suddenly so cruel when she never had been like that before as deputy of Windclan? Coldpaw could barely even open her maw to respond as the words kept flowing from the leader. Yes, Amartheusleap had gotten herself hurt and into trouble- but so had Coldpaw and she hadn't been renamed! This was outrageous! And Scarredheart- that was an awful name even for the worst warrior!

"With all due respect, Brightstar... I'm sure Starclan doesn't approve of this. I-I may just be a medicine cat apprentice but I can assure you Starclan would be wholeheartedly displeased with this... all." Coldpaw said. For the first time in forever, she had to put her playful nature aside and try her best to be serious. "Amaranthusleap did nothing wrong. Nothing worse than half everyone else here has done before! I mean- I snuck out of camp and got attacked by dogs and you didn't punish me by giving me an awful name! It's unfair! She doesn't deserve that!" she announced, her white body trembling in fear the leader would bash her like she had Birdbones. But unlike her mentor, Coldpaw had nothing to hide.

Coldpaw was a bit disappointed that they weren't doing anything fun- just chores. Coldpaw didn't have the same kind of chores apprentices or warriors would have, so honestly when she did hers she didn't mind so much. Mostly because she enjoyed it. But she had grown to learn that most warriors and apprentices did not enjoy doing their daily duties. She could understand how boring that could be. But upon the mention of mossball- the feline couldn't help but let out a giddy laugh. "Oh! I would love to play! But- I need a paw to help me out cause ya know-" she said, voice trailing off. No need to explain. It was probably obvious she had a lack of sight.

// sorry for such a short post!!

She was very thankful for Cloudwatcher. He filled in for Birdbones better than she could've ever imagined and she couldn't help but wonder why Cloudwatcher had ever retired as a medicine cat when he was so very talented with it! She wouldn't have minded being taught under both Cloudwatcher and Birdbones, she was sure the both of them could have taught her very different things that could have benefited her greatly. She was happy CLoudwatcher had stepped in for her mentor- if she didn't have the opportunity indefinitely, it was nice to have just for a little while. "Uh- sorry Cloudwatcher… I don't think I know it." the white feline announced, her tone growing quiet before she piped up yet again in Cherrypaw's direction. "Hello! I'm Coldpaw, welcome to Windclan!"

Coldpaw wasn't one to disobey the leader- but some rules were meant to be broken. And this was one of them. Something was very wrong with Brightstar and Coldpaw was going to get to the bottom of it. No matter what. "Raccoonhobble, come with me to the medicine cat den. A-and you don't need to make a nest there. You can sleep in my nest if you need to. But-but there's no reason to strip you fo your warrior name." she announced before offering her friend, Ivy, a gentle nuzzle of support. "It's okay, Ivy. You're not bound to anyone. Not until you're ready, at least." she said.

As the medicine cat apprentice spoke, Coldpaw nodded along. While she didn't have the same life experiences Oceanpaw had, she did understand it. "I'm sure Cloudwatcher would love to help you out! Not too long ago, a warrior here broke her ribs. Cloudwatcher was able to patch her up some-what so I think that would probably be a piece of cake for him. I can go get him in a minute, fi you want." the alabaster female said with a smile before moving on to the next few things he had said. "Well- I'm sure you'll have It in no time! I still have like... six more moons to go, so I'll be much behind you."

    // rushed sorry ahh

Coldpaw had been walking about when she smelled the scent of someone who rang unfamiliar in her mind. Perhaps if the medicine cat apprentice was older, she would know who it was. But sadly enough for her, she had no idea who anyone was. She still met new members of the clan everyday. Every moment she was awake or walking she seemed to bump into someone she hadn't formally known. Just like now. She wasn't sure if it was the weather, or Starclan's unsure future within the clans, but what she did know was the cats poured in no matter what season it seemed to be. Just now was more often than not. So of course, this was nothing new for the blind and fully-white feline. "Hey there- I'm Coldpaw, who are you?" the apprentice would ask as her neck stretched out in attempts to sniff the feline.
