Cassie frowned, "it still hurts." She moved gingerly as she sat up. She swung her legs off the side of the bed.

Cassie gently pushed his hand away, "Let me shower first, and clean up." She hesitated to stand. She slowly stood up but she didn't stand straight.

So not on purpose but this reminds of real life. About a month ago I had my appendix removed and couldn't stand straight and had to move carefully not to stretch my core. Ironic.

I am, I actually am going to start stretching and working out again tomorrow. Wish me luck I don't do anything bad.

"I don't want to go back there. It just needs to heal. My body has to fight through the infection. That medication and the cream will help." Cassie said. "My energy is going to getting the infection treated. It will take time." Cassie took his assistance to the bathroom. She was careful as she undressed and took her shower. She stayed in the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. She hated seeing herself like this, her once beauty was now gone. Cassie planned how she wanted to do this. She prepared a bandage ahead of time before she grabbed the scissors she had used to cut the gauze. She knew enough to know she had the best chance of ridding herself of the infection but making the wound fresh. It would be horribly painful but she had to do it.

Cassie cleaned the wound, it was slightly larger now, not much. She bandaged herself up. Her head pounded with a horrible headache. She figured Austin would be wondering what was taking long so she set to cleaning up the bathroom. What would he say if he knew? She finished before leaving the bathroom.

She nodded. Cassie was moving slow. She held onto her side. The pain was excruciating but she knew it was for a good reason. Cassie followed Austin, she saw that he had baked her cookies. "You baked?" Cassie looked at him, she smiled. "Looks sucessful. House is still standing. I think you did great." She said teasing.

"No. I was going to with a small snack and here you have beat me to the snack." Cassie said taking a seat. "Are you going to join me?"

"Thank you." Cassie took a bite of the cookie. "You did good sweetie." Cassie wanted to make him happy. She ate in small bites. She took the medicine after finishing the cookie. She started on the granola bar.

Cassie nodded. "It was very good. I can see why she had you make them." Cassie said as she finished the snack. "Austin, have you gotten to meet anyone else here?"

Awesome. I was hoping for a health worker.

I like all those ideas. This is going to be fun.

As for discord, I'm hesitant because we can keep posting on here (there are threads that have the role play thread and another for plotting) but we could also do a group messaging on this site.

"Austin that is sweet but I don't want to limit you. Please go ahead and make friends, find something to do. Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with you but by doing that I see how important it is to have more. Nate never let me." Cassie took his hand in hers. She started by looking him in the eyes but ended looking down.

Cassie looked at Austin. "When you are ready." She said.

Cassie hugged him carefully, she kept her hold loss not to hurt herself. "Austin, you are my hero."

Cassie shook her head. "I'm fine."

Cassie nodded, "Sure, what did you have in mind?"

Cassie chuckled. "It doesn't matter to me."

Cassie cautiously cuddled up to him. She smiled and took a deep breath. "I love you."

Cassie shrugged. "I have. This is a better place than where we were before. I would rather have a family with you than with anyone else."

"I don't know, it doesn't matter. But I would like one of each."

Work out went good, no pain but I didn't push it since it was my first time working since my surgery. First time lifting more than an 18 lb cat.

I might be proud of myself.

Cassie nodded and gave him a peck on his cheek. "I should sleep in these braids tonight, my hair would be curly tomorrow." She got an idea, "Oh, what if we get twins?!"

Cassie laughed at his answer. "What if it is a girl and a boy?"
