Owlfeather grunted with a snort, an ear flicking at the young tom before he turned back to Spottedpool and Snowpaw. "This is Skypaw." he mewed, lightly cuffing the young tom across his single brown ear. "He's a little mouse-brained at times but he's learning quickly. He'll be HillClan's new medicine cat in about three seasons." Snowpaw flicked an ear and was about to introduce herself to Skypaw when Pinestar's yowl rang out across the clearing.
"Cats of all Clans, welcome to the Gathering!"

Snowpaw turned her gaze toward where the leaders sat and listened as Pinestar introduced her as their new medicine cat apprentice and her littermates as new warrior apprentices. The golden tom spoke next, telling of Owlfeather's new apprentice and a new litter in their Clan. Then it was Nightstar's turn and he spoke of good hunting and healthy kits that would soon become apprentices. Then all went quiet and Snowpaw's gaze went to the brown and white tom who had just risen to his paws. His stance demanded respect from all cats and a few even muttered quietly in fear.

Then he spoke, his voice strong and sure of himself. From the corner of her eye, Snowpaw could see her father tense with surprise. "I am Lakestar, leader of LakeClan. Many moons ago, I chose to leave HillClan's camp and came to rest in the watery territory. We have warriors of our own and kits that will become the future."
"Did StarClan approve a new Clan?" Snowpaw was surprised to hear the challenge come from Darksun. His tail lashed out behind him and his fur was standing on end. Wasn't there a truce tonight?

Lakestar dipped his head to the dark warrior, not even flinching. "If they hadn't approved LakeClan, I would not have gone to the Star Cove to receive my nine lives."

Rainstorm pelted after his brother the second Duskwind rose and slid to a stop next to his brother. "Yes, Sharpeye. What do you need?" He asked, concern etched in the pale gray tom's voice while his whiskers set to quivering and his tail tip flicked back and forth in anticipation.

(It's loading fine for me. *shrugs* lol)

Darkface's molted white and brown fur was bushed up, though it was hard to tell with it already being so fluffy. Her ears were lost in the sea of fur against her head and her eyes were wild with fear. The ground shook beneath her paws and she could hear encouragement coming from the muddy brown she-cat and pure white tom with the black nose and eartips.

She only released a sigh of relief when she stood at Mosswing's side on the other side of the Thunderpath, her fur spiking, tail lashing and paws trembling. Only a few heartbeats later did a monster roar past, buffeting her fluffy fur with stinking hot air. "No one's hurt from any Clan?" Falltail yowled above the noise of the Thunderpath that now laid behind them.
"Everyone seems okay from RiverClan." mewed Silverfish with a shaky nod. Darkface wasn't the only one who had been terrified of the crossing.

For once, Willowpaw of WindClan said nothing. Instead, she was crouching beside her mentor shivering with her fur spiked up along her spine. Falltail could only guess that she was now regretting leaving her Clan.

"Hush, Skypaw!" Owlfeather hissed beside the young apprentice as another challenge rose into the night sky.
"There's not a fourth medicine cat among the rest. No group of cats can call themselves a Clan without a proper medicine cat!"
"I am awaiting the cat that StarClan has chosen to become our medicine cat." Lakestar answered without flinching at the new call. "They will come before leafbare. I have faith in my warrior ancestors."

"There should only be three Clans in the new territory!" yowled someone from among the throng of cats. Snowpaw barely heard the other challenges. Her ears were turned toward quieter voices among the Clan cats. Voices of ancient Clan cats.
    It is your destiny.
Four Clans will unite under StarClan to preserve the four.
Your fate is bound up in the stars.
    You cannot change it.
    Cannot escape it...

    It's who you are.
Stop! Snowpaw shook her head fiercely before she shut her blue eyes and ducked her head down low as slowly the yowls of scared and angry cats came back into focus.
"How do we know StarClan really gave you your nine lives?" Darksun yowled, now standing on his paws with his dark amber gaze fixed upon the strong brown and white tom. "You've no medicine cat! The warrior code states that all new leaders must journey to the StarCove to earn their nine lives alongside a medicine cat!"

Out of nowhere, Owlfeather's yowl rose up and silenced all others. He too was on his paws and his eyes were turned toward the sky. "Look! The moon!" Snowpaw raised her head with all the other cats and her fur stood up while her paws felt as cold as ice. Clouds were cast in front of the moon, casting a large shadow across the skies and making a few cats yowl out in terror, though they were quickly hushed by Owlfeather's call. "StarClan are angry! It is an sign! Lakestar has earned his name and nine lives, as all leaders before you have!" Snowpaw watched as the elderly tom returned his amber gaze to the leaders on the stump in the center of the clearing. "They have spoken! There are to be four Clans in the forest. The Hills touch the Night sky and the Lake kisses the edge of the Stealthy forest. This is what they have decided. This is how it must be!"

"And the Finders will never forget you." William said, ruffling the boy's hair before he shooed him toward the large courtyard. "Now go on. You've probably people waiting for you. If you're ever in the neighborhood, drop by and tell the guards that William said it was okay."

Darkface swallowed and pressed against the russet red tom's fur to keep herself steady. "I'm fine." she mewed quietly while Willowpaw mewled next to Fieldpelt, her eyes closed and fur still spiked from fear.
"Here." mewed Littlebird, dropping a single leaf before the young apprentice. "That will help with the shock."
"Doesn't someone else need it?" Willowpaw manaed to ask. When the lithe little RiverClan tom shook his head, the apprentice nodded and lapped up the leaf.

Slowly, the clouds rolled away from the moon and it cast its light into the hollow. Owlfeather yowled once more. "If there is no other business, Nightstar, Lionstar, Lakestar, Pinestar, I think the Gathering should end."
"I agree." Lionstar mewed, dropping down from the stump. He gathered his warriors and led them out of the hollow.
"Until half moon, Spottedpool." mewed Owlfeather while his yowl beckoned Skypaw to him. Snowpaw watched as all around, the Clans left. Pinestar was speaking with Lightsky about something, but we're unsure what it is.

"We will call when we need you." William said to Kyle's back as he disappeared through the Keep's main gate. He backed up for a moment, eyes staying on the keep's walls before he turned around and headed back home himself.

"Welcome back, Kyle!" Lucien called happily from where he stood near the training court's gate. "I trust that you're more knowledgeable about our kind?"

    (Chocolate ^_^ lol)

Rainstorm had no second thoughts. He was asked to deliver a message and he would do just that. When the scent markers burned his nose, the pale gray warrior bounded across and began to try and pinpoint a patrol. There happened to be one and the scent Rainstorm knew. His paws pushed hard against the ground and he let his voice carry a small ways. "Breezefur!"

Darkface shook her head and forced herself up onto her paws. "We need to keep going." she insisted, her voice shaking. "The Starpath won't remain forever. It'll disappear with the rest of the stars when dawn comes. We need to get as far into Twoleg Place as we can." There was only one reason why Darkface was still shaken: she'd grown up without the roar of a Thunderpath marking a border with another Clan. She'd grown up with the soft rumble of the Watermonsters in the lake. Monsters running on a Thunderpath was new to her and terrifying.

Lucien clasped the young one over the shoulder with a firm but gentle hand. It felt like the hand of a father welcoming home his son. "It is good to see you again, my boy." he said with a smile beginning to form across his face. "Tell me, were the Finders hospitable?" Lucien looked the boy over for a moment, his eyes narrowing only slightly. "Did you get enough blood to sustain you? You look different."

Alex snorted and stuck his tongue out at his companion, unable to find any good insults to call the wolf in the elf tongue. Right then, the part of him that was human came forward and he seemed to become a child again for a brief moment.

(XD i'm sorry lol :P but Easter chocolate tastes better than normal chocolate for some reason O_O)

"Oakstar sent me to speak with Tigerstar." Rainstorm mewed, his paws itching to race off toward Breezefur's camp. But he forced himself to remain standing in front of the patrol. "It's urgent that I see him."

Creekfire stopped his pacing, his sleek dark russet and cream fur spiked along his fur. "Graystar can no longer make sound decisions for the Clan." he said simply, his eyes narrowed in suspicion at the FallClan cat. He remained silent for a time before he made his decision. "Blacksnow, fetch Ivywing. Let her deal with this." Then he turned to the FallClan warrior. "Swallowpaw and I will remain here to keep an eye on the FallClan warrior."

"Thank you, Mosswing." Darkface mewed in her quiet voice. A far away look seemed to cross through her eyes, as though she was staring ahead of them. To their future. "You would make a good leader."
"We should keep moving." came Falltail's mew from up ahead. "Mosswing, is ShadowClan ready to keep going?"
