Check out the Court of Halcyon, holy knights of the Bleak Wilds and a growing unboarded proclan who aim to bring peace and order to Agrelos!

although she had managed to kick him, her fall is also a downfall, literally. landing with a grunt as she felt air rushed out of her mouth as speedfreak forced her harder down, feeling the impact really hit her back. "ya bastard," she tried to spit in SPEEDFREAK ! face. just as she had said this, she saw a familiar body of dante rushing in trying to help her. "h-hey!" she shouted, a sound of mixed surprise. she didn't realize felix had gone to fetch help from thunderlands and volary flights. if dante managed to distract speedfreak, she would try to kick at him again and try to worm her way out quickly.

"hola, who are you?" the tone isn't exactly friendly, but not very hostile either as chase met with the covener at the border of the sanctuary. there was a scent of something of a clan to these two, but it's not very clear who it was - chase never really interacted with any other groups during her time in thunderlands and those that she did interact with were the one she ended up in. the german shepherd stared at the winged husky for a moment and then glanced at the basket. "oh, ya an ambassador, huh?"

speedfreak had noticed her and seems to be angry at her words. what, it was the truth! she would rather see horsepower of the ruiners than them trying to throw fire. the raid host is now rushing at her through the flames, trying to tackle her down like a pinball. nu-uh! she wasn't going to go down without a fight. a snarl lets out as she braces for the tackle from him, feeling her body rock back from his attack. the hyena was a bit bigger than her, but she wasn't going to let the size disadvantage her. he's snapping at her, trying to grab her body to bite into and she was trying to move away at the same time. just as the rain seems to suddenly appear out of nowhere, drenching the earth. wet ground became messy as she felt herself just slip back even more. as she completely fell this time, she tried to kick her back legs at SPEEDFREAK ! snapping jaws in hope of trying to kick him from biting her.

"good fuck, i am getting dragged out of my retirement?" the complaint comes from chase as she steps out from the tree at the sudden noises bustling out outside. the past time had been peaceful and she was really starting to enjoy it - she was really taking everything for granted. the canine glanced out beyond and saw rushing fire racing across the fields. "alright, what the fuck." without a moment of hesitation, chase started running towards the scene instead of running away because she never ran away from things (well, she ran away from thunderlands, but that was a valid excuse). arriving, she saw a few sanctuarians trying to fight the sanguine ruins. the god bastards of them, the one who had taken over thunderlands and torn them to shreds, they were here now. finally, she could get the revenge she always wanted on them. "bastards got nothing better to do than fight with their actual strength instead of their powers!" chase shouted at the ruiners, particularly at speedfreak. she didn't rush in because the power of electricity and fire were keeping her back.

a group meet and greet? her nose twitched, turning up a bit as if thinking she was too good for this. which she really thought it. why would she care to know the names of her clanmates? she'll forget them anyway - same thing when she forgot half of the people's names in thunderlands. the one who stood out were the people she disliked the most - she couldn't forget them even if she wanted to. she didn't forgive so easily when it came to bad people. the canine stood among the crowd introducing themselves. "chase," she said simply and left it at that, turning to leave and head back to her room and take a good long nap.

arlo joined them now, voicing his confusion as well. and there was that telepathic sound again. clear angry puffs lets out from her maw as she turned, trying to figure out where chi is. but it was hard to do so, since it was a telepathy that could come from anywhere and she couldn't see him. "why should i care about spirits? y'all children of what? sounds like total losers," the former thunderlander grumbled for a bit, swatting at the air in front of her. then suddenly, books popped out of nowhere in front of heavensdoor. she startled a bit at the sudden appearance, watching it being "juggled" by chi. "good fuck," the canine muttered as she moved away from the books and from chi. "witchcraft here."

chase looked down at the dropped pencils, frowning. "juggling? why the fuck you need to juggle for?" she's unaware that it was supposed to be his weekly task. to her, it seems like a silly thing to do. "shouldn't you be doing more productive thing?" just as she said this, a sudden voice rang out and she jumped, startled. looking around, she couldn't see anything or anyone. she didn't have the sight like some of the sanctuarians did, but can only hear the voice of the wisp. she glanced over to heavensdoor, but it appeared he's talking to thin air where chi is. "goodness fuck, y'all have spirits here too?" it was bad enough dealing with spirits from shadow veil - now they had them here too? good perun, she missed thunderlands.

sheesh, now they have to worry about their own clanmates? good riddance, this was a total nightmare to handle. although truthfully, she would rather handle angry spirits than a messed up living creature any day. the canine lets out a huff as she joins ulla and fletchingkit, listening to them trying to discuss about how to deal with these angry spirits. why did shade hour even exist in the first place? perun forbids this darkness! "oh so you gonna walk over to a spirit and ask what they want? how do ya know they ain't gonna do some tricks on ya?" chase voiced her opinion as the kid spoke up. honestly, what can they even do? what would happen if they wait it out? they'll go away, right? "even if the body is in danger, i don't think it would scare the spirit cause they immortal shit. we need to avoid every way to damage the bodies cause the former souls that they belong to would not be able to come back." the canine sat down, grumbling, trying to think of something.

"what the hell you doing?" chase was making her return from her hunting, carrying a plump rabbit in her mouth as she stumbled upon heavensdoor trying to . . . float pencils? she didn't know that he was trying to test his telekinesis to juggle these things. but honestly to anyone who didn't use powers at all, it just was . . . there. putting down the rabbit, she squinted suspiciously at the sanctuarian, cautious in case he tries to do something funny with those colouring instruments. "you floating that all day above your head? seems like a waste of time to me."

chase didn't quite know the clan well - or actually, she didn't know anyone but anna and sekhmet. everyone else were just a blur to her. blanks to their faces, meaning nothing to her. why were they stuck in here again? oh yeah, she came at a terrible timing because of this thing called "shade hour." like damn, if she knew spirits were running about trying to scare the shit out of the shadow veilers, she would had up and gone. but nope, she can't leave now in case of being possessed. good riddance of fuck, she hated this. she doesn't like being in a crowd and wanted to be in her own comfy shelter. ugh.

the canine crashed into the feline shape of cascadingstarlight, not really looking where she was going, but she turned as if the caracal was the one who crashed into her. "hey, watch it," the german shepherd glares at the former lupine. she looked at him, up and down, frown furrowing in her expression. even though names and faces meant nothing to her, that didn't mean she noticed things. and she was pretty darn certain she didn't remember seeing a caracal around here. "i don't see this body before," she commented her thought out loud, looking him up and down again and moving away, keeping distance. although there was still a glare from her eyes at him.

chase found herself standing in front of a letter that had been dropped off by sangria of solaris kingdom. a small huff lets out as she picks up the letter, squinting at the words. "good fuck, why does everyone write these days? no one can just come and say it?" annoyance clear in her face as the canine grumbled for a bit. it didn't help that she was illiterate and she would never pick up a pen to write in her life. or read a book. she thought those things were a waste of time. turning around with the letter, she called out to a shadow veiler. "any of y'all can read this?"

chase is quiet as dante answered her question. even he is uncertain of geralt's leadership and what he could be thinking. a soft sniffing noise is heard, as if made in disapproval thinking about that guy. she doesn't know him really either, but she thought it was odd to make him a temporary leader. darn the family heritage she thought, but kept these thoughts to herself. "i see, it can't be helped i guess," she would finally say in response, head tilting as her uncle mentioned she could visit. could she really visit? she didn't really know anyone there besides dante and cecilia. it didn't really matter anymore . . . "thanks for the offer, we'll see. you best get going before it gets dark." chase wasn't the kind to outright say "i love you" or being affectionate, but this was the closest one would get from hearing her say anything of caring for another person. she nodded, acknowledging the thunderlander's presence before watching him leave and make his return back to her former home.

Sheesh, was Anna lost at her words? There was nothing confusing about her words - Chase's a very straightforward person. Or maybe the way she worded those words sounded a bit weird to others - as much as she was illiterate, she wasn't really exactly good on having an extensive vocabulary and putting words in proper order. Anna answers Mystletainn's question, who seems to be spouting some weird heroic rambles - was Shadow Veil going to be full of weirdos? Goodness, she already missed Cecilia's common sense and level-headness. Was that even a word? Whatever.

Anna then speaks up asking to be guided and the canine's relieved. She is just as tired and don't think she could walk through the woods trying to not get lost. She wasn't this afraid of the odd woods as Anna is, and actually, it felt a bit comforting. She was used to the sunlit jungle, but for some reason, she didn't mind the darkness. Maybe it was just her being silly sad again. Shaking her muddled thoughts, she would glare at the kitsune as she felt her latch onto her and nudge her first. Her high pitched voice made it obvious along with her "ahaa." Anna didn't really say that in Thunderlands before, not that the canine could remember anyway. A snort lets out. "Sheesh. . . "

But before she could tease her any further, Nyx interrupted them. Ah, this gosh darn snake, trying to spook them and being a useless Shadow Veiler for not wanting to guide them. Where was the hospitality? Hell, she was better at this than him and she was considered the worst of the worst in Thunderlands! "Hey, shut the hell up if ya not gonna lead the way." Chase tries to swat Nyx aside and steps forward to where she saw the Veilers come from, hoping it is the direction of the camp. "Don't squeeze me so hard, Anna," the German Shepherd adds in a huff as she tries to lead the way.

the betrayal of shock wasn't missed by the observant chase. but dante remained calm, composed, sharing about what happened in thunderlands in case the clan didn't know and updated them on the whereabouts of feliks and deathstroke. oh? so they ended up leaving - she's a bit surprised by this. she didn't think they would leave, that they would rule thunderlands with an iron fist. if she had known they would leave, perhaps she should had stayed instead of being encouraged by anna and her annoying mother to move to shadow veil. but like she felt, she felt it was too late to go back, that she might be viewed a traitor. so she kept silent, musing about this. interesting how dante chose the word crusader to describe asimov though . . . anyway, geralt is in charge. he's the son? chase probably couldn't trust him either, but then, she never really trusted anyone to start with.

as her uncle concluded what he had to said, she decided to speak up. being silent is hard for someone who always had something to say. "so is cecilia gonna be leader? she would make a good one." cecilia juggled between roles since there was a lack of medics, but she was level-headed out of everyone, in her opinion, more than the two previous leaders, and was the most literate out of everyone.

Chase didn't tell anyone that she had left with Anna. No note, no nothing. Anna had said it was for the better - because the majority of the clan had sided with Deathstroke. She and Anna were alone to think what they thought. They would be viewed as horrible people who didn't believe in forgiveness, which Chase felt was wrong in a sense that she did have forgiveness, just not as quick. But that's why she had agreed with that girl. She didn't really have anyone left. Cecilia had been in and out and Leviathan had not been seen for long time. Even though she wasn't that close to them, she never felt so lonely before. She missed Thunderlands. Her heart was struggling to be here and in Shadow Veil, when all she wanted was the familiarity of the jungle. A place that felt like home. Just without all the troubles, the drama, just forget it. Little did she realize that Thunderlands had changed a bit since she left.

Chase wasn't sure if it was a good idea to be out here - is her relative going to be mad at her? Disappointed? Honestly who knows? He only joined recently so she didn't have enough time to get to know him more. But as much as it may be a bad idea to be here, she couldn't but help be pulled to the mess. She just wants to go back, but surely, her leaving would make her a traitor to the eyes of the Thunderlanders. And that would hurt Anna's feeling because Anna thought she would be on her side. Her heart felt conflicted in so many directions as she stood silently behind Percy. She didn't want to say anything yet, just wait for her uncle to speak.

Chase only hears Anna's retorts somewwhat as she had been trying to stuff her ears, albeit not a perfect plugs for her ears. She could still hear the screeching voice of her, wincing and letting out a series of muttered curses. There's Shadow Veilers arriving now, thrown aback by this strange scene before them, but Chase had no clue what they were saying because of the loud and ridiculous voice of Anna. Thankfully, she shut up before Chase was about to yell at her to be quiet. Seeing that Anna is now talking regularly, the canine lets out a sigh as she shakes her ears to rid of the leaves. Wasn't really a great plan, but one had to improvise on the whim. "Don't think they'll say no anyway, if they have auto-acceptance policy," her gaze shifts over to her . . . rival? She's not exactly friends per say, but acquantiances sound kind of funny to say. Letting her eyes move onto the Veilers now, she tilts her head. "Well, ya not gonna keep us waiting right?" Chase respects the border of the territory, but man, if she had the same carelessness as Anna's mom, Sekhmet, she would had just plowed through without waiting for anyone.

Someone new came to greet her and got right to work. Good guy, she liked straightforward people who didn't waste her time and asked questions. Come to think of it . . . have she seen this one before? Dog had already turned his back to her to lead the way, so Chase's uncertain, but she felt like she surely must had seen him been an ambassador to the Thunderlands back then. But did it matter? "At least someone gets me," the canine speaks out loud as she trots after the other dog. She lets her gaze roam for a bit, noticing the giant tree seeming to be closer and closer as the Sanctuarians make their way back to camp. Did Sanctuary really live in this tree? Dang, nothing different from Thunderlands living in trees, huh? "Y'all actually live in that?"

Maybe it was because Thunderlands lacked domestic felines and were primarily made up of dogs and large creatures, but she thought the first two to show up at her shouts were kind of pathetic looking in size. This was the Sanctuary? But what did she expect of the group she didn't know about? Not everyone was Thunderlands, of course . . . Chase looks at the first one, a serval named Felix. "Yeah, why else I would be here for, duh? I'm Chase." The canine decided she didn't want to bother giving out her full name. She had given up on her grandparents' surnames and the name given to her by her mother was just too much to deal with. Not like anyone call her by her full name anyway. The canine turns to see a limping fox, who didn't talk at all. "Nice to eat ya, now, can one of ya lead me to ya camp? Need to find a place to crash." Chase did feel a bit worn out from all what happened and haven't had a chance to actually settle down and rest.

It was wrong to be here. Wrong, wrong, wrong. It was supposed to be only Thunderlands, only Thunderlands. But shit had gone down. A lot of bad shit. And her paws find themselves fleeing the familiar jungleland towards the dark woods of Shadow Veil, with Anna on her side. She had wanted to follow after her mother, Sekhmet, to her old Clan. For Anna, maybe it wasn't hard for her to make a move. Her parents lived in Shadow Veil after all, she didn't have to worry about her loyalty to Thunderlands. But for Chase, it was hard. Even though she wasn't exactly born in that Pro-Clan, her grandparents lived there. She felt like she should give her life for the Clan. But how could she give her life for a Clan run by the people who had turned the world she knew upside down? Her home . . . was it even her home anymore? She was torn. Wanting to stay there, but not wanting to be led by those individuals. Little did she know that they left too. If she knew that, she probably could return to Thunderlands. But she didn't. She already left, that made her a traitor in the others' eyes. It hurts, it actually hurts . . . And now she's here, trying to do a dual-alliance. Never would she had dreamed to do that. It would always be one Clan, always Thunderlands, but things aren't the same anymore, she couldn't keep pretending it would stay the same forever. She would still be in Shadow Veil, of course, it would be wrong to leave all of the sudden. But the dark forest doesn't quite feel nice, and she already sworn off Wind Haven. So the closest thing would probably be this place, a totally foreign place.

With shaky breath, for the first time feeling nervous, the German Shepherd stands at the border of Sanctuary. Forcing down her uneasiness, she would try to plaster on her usual attitude. "Alright y'all, chop, chop! I ain't waiting forever for y'all snails to move, so come on over and accept me already!" Chase shouts out across the meadow.
