Same. I swear I hate chica, mostly cause she always jumpscares me. Springtrap and foxy are my favorites.

Tracy's ears twitched as he observed the young female who kept looking at the black wolf beside her, leaving Tracy to assume the wolf was her beta or an adviser of some sort due to her given age. Perhaps it would have been better for a more experienced wolf to have taken the reigns of the pack until the female grew up but one did not learn by being coddled. When she turned back to him, she observed that one of their pack members was carrying pups and told them they could rest within an old den site the girl's pack had and they would take his own pack there where they could rest. "We appreciate the hospitality," said Tracy. She then told them they had to leave after they were healed up and how they shouldn't leave the clearing until they were healed up, the alpha nodded glanced over his shoulder at his own pack. They were tired, he could see it in the way they held their bodies and turned his head back to the female who claimed to be alpha of the other pack, saying they had to leave when they were healed and about how the land could not support two packs. "That's fine," he said, gesturing with his head to lead them to this site where they could rest.
-
First the brown wolf was dismissed, Tracy hearing it being told to go back to its own pack and alert them to not bother his own. As Dawn then began leading the way towards the old den site across the other side of the clearing, Tracy began moving on ahead of his pack with Weed bringing up the rear and Quinn just ahead of the Weed with his children, their navigator and Shaman in the middle, the pack silent as they moved across the clearing after the young alpha and her possible beta or adviser who dwarfed her small frame. Being tired, not even Lynx kept an eye out for potential predators or an attack from other wolf packs, normal wolf or werewolf. Moving towards the tree line and then slipping in, they stopped and Tracy peered down as Dawn said there were a series of tunnels that connected to an old underground den before she looked towards Quinn. Errol nudged Berry to indicate the Shaman should respond to the issue.
"She's three months," piped up the lad. "She's got two months to go."

We're on discord now. But I think it is, let me ask.
-
Hey, I just checked and they are accepting. They are moving things over to the discord since the feralfront one died. Plus some people have been banned from feral front that are in the rp.
Here is the link to the discord: https://discord.gg/rEqhwpQ We are doing everything there now.

OOC: I likely won't do anything with Moth until the quarter moon when she goes into labor. I just need to know when that will be so I can RP the birth of the kits since she doesn't have anything better to do.
-
I’ll be mobile rest of night so just tag me when it starts.

...
Since only 4 of us have responded to the choice...so we want to keep waiting or should Wolfiee godmod everyone outside to the house and do flashback of attack in rp? -
I have a bloody problem of boredom leading to impatience and being a loner whenever I rp with people which annoys them. But...yeah...I am going to move my characters closer to the house.

Aurora Seraphin|Loner|28-Female

Seraphinus Seraphin|1 Year-Male|Loner
Some point during their trek, Seraphinus decided to get on his mother’s back, the pup slipping off the other wolf’s back and then onto mama’s, the cream Psi growling as her son pulled on her fur before she stood up. Now, carrying both her pup and the duffle in her maw, the she-wolf was loaded down, her swollen womb not helping matters so it would not be surprising if the stranger moved ahead of them. The snowy landscape was fascinating for the pup, Seraphinus holding on tightly as Aurora moved over the frozen ground. The snow prevented her paws from swelling but did not stop the bleeding. It was a necessary price to pay though Aurora was silent as she moved through the landscape, following the other wolf’s scent and tail for the duration. No wolves or other predators appeared, but it did not mean that Aurora looked forward to potentially putting her pups in danger nor herself. As she would eventually catch up with the other mother, she would see a building in the distance that coalesced into a house Nothing like the abandoned mansion she and some others had found for father but perhaps able to hold a quarter of Yagra. The female slowed until she came to a stop, her eyes and ears on alert as she dropped the bag, unable to potentially fight if they were confronted, what with Seraphinus on her back, the pup staring with wife eyes at the house. The house did not look like the house mama had found. Seraphinus whined and clenched his mother’s fur in his hands, lowering himself to lie flat on his mother in an attempt to hide.

The pack clustered behind their alpha, Tracy sniffing the air. There didn’t appear to be any sickness wafting from the tunnel they were near which was a good sign. He looked back up at the young alpha as she spoke, saying they were welcome to stay longer if they were not well enough to leave and that, should Quinn go into labor, they could remain longer. Tracy could not guess how long it would take the pack, nor himself, to heal, so he was grateful for the information. “I cannot say how long we will stay here, but we do appreciate the hospitality,” the elder wolf said. If Quinn should go into labor early, the pack would move them as they were accustomed, despite there being no gammas. Tracy mused it over to himself as Dawn said they needed the clearing for their own pack.
Turning away from them along with the dark wolf at her side, Errol glanced worriedly at his father before speaking up. He wasn’t that keen on doing so but for some reason the ancestors had picked him to be the future alpha of the pack, a rank he wasn’t entirely certain be wanted. His siblings were lucky in that they could do the ranks they desired. “Thank you,” Errol said, dipping his head in thanks. Though he didn’t know what the female might be hiding by her sudden turning away, he didn’t think it was that concerning. Whatever it was, well they had their own problems. At the warning, his upper lip curled up slightly to expose his teeth in a silent snark before nodding. “The food...one of us will get it if you wish to leave it at the clearing,” he said. -
Kinda boring but doing alright.
-
The old alpha quietly observed the interaction, slight as it was between his oldest and the black wolf whom had turned to Errol at the boy's snarl but didn't comment. Instead, after they left, he sent Tala down for her earlier comment down the tunnel they were facing and then Weed and Lynx down two more tunnels, leaving himself, Berry, Quinn and his pups up above ground. Lynx came back and reported there was a huge underground den like had been spoken of which didn't smell at all of sickness and led the group a short ways to third tunnel which the pack slipped down within, following single file as they headed underground. When they came to the den, Tracy looked around as the pack stood behind him, seeing Weed and Tala lying down already. "It seems safe and sound," he said, looking up at the roof and then padding over to a wall and leaning against it. "Keep in mind we are...visitors...here. We don't know how many of these wolves are in this pack nor would they likely understand us and our culture." Here the alpha's eyes went to Berry who was sniffing around the den they were clustered in which was rather roomy for such a small number of wolves. It was likely the other pack might think of Berry as nothing but a pup still given Tracy knew other packs saw such young as Berry pups until their first year of life. "Errol..I don't know what your issue is but you will do first watch. It'll be good practice for when you are alpha."
"They're hiding something father," said Errol.
"That much is obvious. I'm not dead yet, so obviously I noticed but that is their business. We'll stay long enough for us to heal and then move on," came Tracy's patient and tired voice. "Go on and howl if there's any trouble."
The delta sighed before dipping his head to his father and slipping back through the tunnel as Tracy looked around at the rest of the pack. "Berry...get some rest," he said to the youngster. "You're the new Shaman now and will need your wits and knowledge to help Quinn when it's time for to birth her young." The youngster nodded and Tracy just slid down the wall in a heap as his aging bones gave out, the rest of the pack finding areas where they could rest.
Errol's ears were flattened against his head as he moved through the tunnel, the delta's tail tucked low as he made his way upwards to the surface and moved out upon the rocks. He sniffed the air before emerging from the tunnel into the open and padded off across the clearing, heaving a sigh. He didn't know why the ancestors had chosen him out of his parents' first litter to lead the pack. He knew it didn't have to do with being the oldest because the only thing that mattered was being of the alpha pair's first litter of pups. He could step down but none of his other siblings were trained for the role of leadership like he had been. The wolf wandered the clearing and settled down to wait, his father hadn't said he needed to stay nearby, just that he had to be on guard duty and they couldn't leave the clearing. So, when the black wolf appeared, the chocolate wolf stood up from where he'd been lying in the tall grass and strode towards it, wondering if his father would put Lynx on night duty as that was part of the Navigator rank's job or if one of his siblings or even father himself would go on duty.
As he approached, he could see the black wolf was by the rock pile where one of the tunnels seemed to be which Weed had been sent down earlier to check. As he approached, he could smell and see the fawn by the black wolf, noting to himself that the wolf seemed to be looking around him. "We haven't left the clearing you know," spoke up Errol as he moved towards the other wolf.
-
Errol's ears flicked as he heard that this other pack would have known if they'd left the clearing. So they were being watched? Well, he supposed it made sense to watch other packs in one's territory or for lone wolves. Errol glanced towards the fawn as the black wolf said it was all they could spare and it would get them through the night. He didn't respond until the other wolf began to leave, paused and spoke to him briefly as he turned back, Errol's ears flattening against his head as he heard the questions. "He's the father of three of us," said Errol, finding nothing wrong with confirming the black wolf's words. At his second question, Errol looked away as he responded. "Sometimes, you need to do what is right for the pack even if your heart is not in it or others object," spoke Errol. "But yes, I'm next in line to run the pack when my father dies or steps down." He watched the black wolf as he would leave, the delta sighing to himself, before grabbing the deer and dragging it down the tunnel towards the rest of the waiting pack.
(Sure, that's fine)
-
Within the underground den, most of the pack were asleep, all haunted by the horrors of their pack burning. It was nothing to Tracy's nightmares of Accalia's charred body and his pack screaming for help or the fact that he'd lost his beta Jax who'd stayed back to try to get more wolves out of the pack. Tracy knew deep within his heart that his pack was dead, all but those who'd succeeded in getting out, though could not say how much time he had left, it was this that had him awake and mulling over the pack's future. Their herbs their Shaman normally used were gone as were their tools and weapons. They would need to make more when they found a new camp somewhere. On top of all this, Lynx had entered her heat season and Tala would be going in soon, resulting in the rest of the pack becoming antsy. It was not something that Tracy looked forward to dealing with Quinn carrying pups. Though Tracy had breeding rights as alpha and could technically mate with both females, if he so desired, he certainly was not going to breed his daughter nor would his sons breed their sister and Berry was too young to have a mate, though by their laws, even if Berry had been old enough, he could not have pups anyway. While the alpha pondered on his pack's future, Berry slipped out of the den and through one of the tunnels towards the clearing to get some fresh air and get himself out of danger of the rest of the pack if they started fighting amongst themselves.
Emerging into the clearing, the silver wolf looked around with his amber-brown eyes slowly adjusting to the sunlight, his ears having caught the sounds of excited barking. The young and newly appointed Shaman looked around after a few minutes, catching sight of a stranger within the clearing. The youngster sniffed the air, knowing it wasn't a member of his own litter who'd all perished, nor a pack member. Rather this wolf had a strange scent, perhaps it belonged to the other pack? Berry didn't know what it was and looked around, not seeing any sign of other wolves in the area. The youngster looked back at the den and then padded over towards the pup he saw lying in the grass. "What'cha doing?" Berry questioned curiously, his ears twitching as he heard someone coming up one of the other tunnels.

Berry ^^

Ephraim Carpathia|18 Years-Male|Rank: Prisoner of Enchanted Forest|Pack: Bloodmoon
Ephraim, after finishing his meal and not feeling any side effects that he could discern that might lead to poisoning and/or general sickness towards the food felt more comfortable within his wolf form. The prisoner ended up shifting back into said form, even as the alpha came back in after speaking with someone at the door and asking if he was ready. "Ready," he said, assuming he was being spoken to and if he wasn't, well he was confirming he was ready to leave as quickly as remotely possible. The young man fell to all fours as his body changed and he soon found himself covered back in his own fur, making his way towards the door as best he could by scent.
-
Berry tilted his head as he studied the pup who appeared startled at his appearance, stammering for him not to eat the pup. The youngster's eyes widened in surprise which was evident in his bi-chromatic orbs before laughing at the pup's question. The pup fell back, tripping over his own paws as the youngster laughed at the stammering plea. "I don't eat wolves and neither does my pack," he said. The young Shaman looked around him, sniffing the air. He could still detect a presence but didn't turn his head to look behind him. However, the pup seemed to scent the presence of the other wolf for they looked at the rocks curiously. Berry couldn't see anything that remotely looked like an adult wolf around them, though the grass was high and the other pack had hidden in it. The youngster backed up and then put his nose to the ground, sniffing for any scents of the pack but tracking was not his best ability. When the pup asked about why he had come from the rocks, Berry lifted his head again.
"I'm Berry and we're just staying here until we've healed up," said Berry. "Your alpha insisted on it," he added with a rueful shrug. "Where are your parents?" Maybe he could talk Weed into watching the pup and why was it even out alone? Though the other wolves had hidden themselves well, he couldn't find any trace of them and glanced behind him again to see who was just outside basking on the rocks. It turned out to be Zog. "Zog!" he barked to the older wolf.
"Hmm?" The tan wolf raised his head from his paws and turned towards the Shaman, then noticing the pup. The pack member got up and then jumped off the rocks, heading over to them as he scented the air, looking down at the pup. "Morn..." his yawn interrupting him. Zog shook himself and turned his attention to the pup. "Berry who is this?"The youngster shrugged, flushing underneath his fur. "I didn't ask but they were lying down earlier. The pup thinks I'll eat it." Zog stared at the pup and then looked at Berry. The adolescent didn't respond to the Shaman before sitting down without a word.
-
Berry's ears flattened as the pup said his parents were dead and hadn't survived the winter at all. "I'm sorry," he said. As Zog came back, the adolescent seemed to frighten the pup for it stumbled backwards, allowing Zog to observe the pup and look around him along with the short conversation. Eventually, the pup relaxed enough to sit down and ask why they were here within the clearing, mentioning that the alpha of the West Mountain pack was his aunt.
"She said we weren't to leave until we were healed," said Zog.
"Maybe she was being nice and imagining herself in such a position," suggested Berry. "Maybe she felt sorry for us. Most alphas wouldn't let another pack stay in their territory so freely..." As the pup said that his aunt and the other adults were going on about there not being enough food, the two wolves were silent. What was one supposed to say to that? Zog's ears twitched as he listened to the pup speak on the matter before it sat down and began speaking about the young alpha not having pups. Berry wrinkled his nose, the Shaman couldn't imagine that was an appropriate conversation to have in front of a pup and even though he was eight moons, he didn't think about such a thing. "I bet being an alpha is hard."
"It is difficult," said Zog, knowing his father struggled. He knew father was struggling, even if the alpha tried not to show it. Even his brother was struggling with his role as delta, despite being thirty years older than him. Zog, Tala and Tunstall were of their parents' second litter. Before the conversation could continue, strange as it was, something hit the tan brujo, sending him to the ground. Taken aback, neither wolf had time to react as the stranger revealed itself as a red wolf, small in size, but crouching over the pup who seemed to know the female. Berry whined in concern as Zog was sent to the ground and stepped forward to help the other pup, even as Zog picked himself up and growled in return at the female. What the pup did next was either stupid or brave. Zog was inclined to go with the first, Berry inclined to go with both. "Zog didn't..." he started but the pup interrupted and put himself between the two wolves, the pup saying they were the pack the young alpha was letting remain there for a while. Zog was only reacting in such a way for two reasons; one he had not expected the attack and with tensions among the males of the pack with Lynx heading into heat, two was their law concerning no harm to the Shaman and Apprentice Shaman and three was that Berry was their only Shaman, meaning if he died there would be no healing for the pack. The wolf relaxed though and only when it seemed that it wouldn't attack Berry did Zog cease his growling.
This wolf was also female, given the name. Zog had certainly never heard of a male wolf named Heather. Straightening, Zog watched as Heather scolded the pup for leaving the camp and how the alpha had worried. Just like a female, he thought to himself. His mother had certainly been the same way with worrying over her children. Probably due to the pup being a relative as well having something to do with it. Zog couldn't say though if he would feel the same way if he had pups...alphas were the main breeding pair in their pack. His nose wrinkled as he thought of Lynx's future. Would she end up bearing his father's next litter or would it be Errol? Zog shook his head before sitting down. "What were you preoccupied with earlier?" he questioned.
-
"A badger?" Zog narrowed his eyes as he questioned the pup's chattering. Badgers were a nuisance and sometimes attacked pups. The hunters would sometimes hunt them if they were too close to camp. When the pup finally calmed down, it settled in between the female's front paws and then apologized for her actions. "I suppose I should apologize as well. Berry is..of utmost importance to us," he said, gesturing with his head towards the youth who was quietly watching. She then spoke of her being a...healer. Berry looked at Zog but the older wolf didn't respond to the youth's gaze, insVtead listening as she continued to say that the young alpha had told her about their own pack's injuries and that she could help them.
Zog was uncertain of their next course of action. They weren't in a position to refuse, his father wasn't that stubborn to refuse help where it was offered-however rare it might be-but really it was up to his father on if the help was accepted or not. They had Berry but the youth didn't know the herbs of this land like this wolf said she knew and they had been told to remain within the clearing. Before he could even say anything there was the sound of paws and two wolves appeared within the clearing, the black wolf from earlier and the alpha herself. The pup ran over to the female and began assuring her he was okay, the youngster soon getting snatched up in the black wolf's jaws.
Dawn, after reassuring herself the pup was fine, turned to the two males and saying to accept the healer's help. He glanced at Berry who was still quiet but seemed to have perked up at the topic of someone knowing the herbs of the area. "That is up to our alpha," spoke Zog. Despite being a pup of the alpha, they didn't have an authority. He glanced at the black male and then looked towards Berry again. "Go see if the alpha's awake," said Zog, "and check on Quinn." He ignored Berry's disappointed look as the Vertex Shaman headed for the tunnel, slipping back beneath it.
Zog sat down to wait while Berry made his way down the tunnel and to the underground den, searching for the alpha who was curled up in a corner. "Alpha?" Tracy turned his head towards the Shaman, a questioning gaze in his eyes. "Zog's above ground and with the alpha of the...the white mountain pack. There's that...black wolf again and a possible...healer...and a pup. It says there's a badger cub around the area."
"What is it that you are trying to say Berry?" said Tracy slowly.
"The alpha of White Mountain wants us to accept their healer's help to heal faster. Zog said to get you and ask you to come up and to check on Quinn." The young wolf looked towards the slumbering keeper.
Tracy looked at Berry before getting to his paws. "Quinn! Lynx! Tala!" The three females stirred as the alpha shouted their names. "Get above ground and have the healer tend to your wounds. Berry, observe what you can and try to commit it to memory," he said. He headed up the tunnel, fully expecting the trio of females to follow him.
It didn't take more than a few minutes for Tracy to emerge from the den, followed by the three she-wolves and Berry. The alpha shook himself as he emerged first and headed over to his son, nodding to Zog before turning his face first towards Dawn and then towards Heather before letting his gaze slide towards the black wolf holding the pup. "I understand you wish us to accept the help of your healer...they're like a Shaman Berry...to heal faster?" questioned Tracy. "I would check the females first, especially her," he said as he nodded towards Quinn who was a tawny female, "and then Lynx there," he nodded towards the alabaster wolf. "We appreciate and will accept the assistance." He then turned towards Heather. "Would you mind if Berry watches your work?" he questioned.

About Us: Travel back in time to a world forgotten, a world frozen and where giants roam, where the struggle of survival is real and life is harsh. There is no modern technology or comforts of home, merely death lurking around every corner. Step back to a time when the world was cold and covered in glaciers, when sea levels were lower and man had only just set foot on the planet. Travel back to North America some 70,000 years ago and dare to brave not only this era but eventually expand to the Middle Ages. Here there are two packs and two tribes, each having to fight not only each other but also other predators and nature itself. Packs and Tribes are Hunter-Gatherers, each with their own traditions and beliefs. In this harsh world, can you survive against all odds?
Sign Ups: You are here
Pack 1:
Alphas 1/2: These are the leaders of the pack. They enforce their dominance and rules, and will protect the territory and the weaker members. They are imperative on any substantial hunt and are the primary reproducers of the pack. Additionally, they are in charge of marking the territory. There are two alphas in an established pack and they are a mated pair. This rank cannot be challenged.
Betas 0/2: These wolves are second in command and serve as the alphas’ guards. The Betas will aid in keeping members in line and are the main harasser of the omegas. The Betas also help in hunts and after the alphas, are the strongest wolves in the pack. These wolves are the right hand man/woman of the alpha/alphess, respectfully, and one is chosen by each. They do not have to be a mated pair because they are chosen by the alpha or alphess based on their relationship to them. The alpha and alphess usually chose a good friend for this role but they can also choose a family member, one of their pups, or any other wolf they trust to be second in command. The betas help the alpha and alphess make decisions and keep the alpha and alphess safe. They also lead hunting groups and patrols. This rank cannot be challenged, new betas are promoted when there is a new alpha or alphess.
Delta 0/1: The delta has no leadership in the pack. They are the chosen successor to the alpha and alphess and is being trained by his or her parents to take over when the time comes. He or she is chosen by the ancestors from the alpha pair’s first litter when the pups are all promoted to full pack members. This rank is chosen by the Shaman and cannot be challenged but the delta can choose to step down if they don't want the role.
Shaman 0/2: These two members are in charge of treating sick or injured wolves and aiding members giving birth. He or she has a vast knowledge of herbs and healing and a strong relationship with the ancestors. Shaman tell stories to the pack's pups and teach them the rules of life along with chronicling the pack's history, births and deaths. Serving as mediators between pack members, advisers to the alphas and being in charge of physical, mental and spiritual health of the pack and its members, they are highly respected. They are also responsible for determining new deltas and alphas/alphesses. They are allowed to have a mate, only if the other Shaman can pick up their duties in addition to their own, but they cannot have pups. If this happens, they will be required to step down from their position and their apprentice will take over. They are responsible for choosing the new alphas and the delta of the pack. This rank cannot be challenged.
Shaman Apprentices 0/2: These two wolves are chosen at four months of age and are in training to become a Shaman. When he or she is ready to become a full fledged healer, the current Shaman will take their apprentice to a place within their territory where the ancestors will bless them. Sometimes, the apprentice ends up taking the rank before they are ready, such as their mentor dying or having pups. Once the apprentices are chosen, they move into the home of the Shamen. Once the Shaman Apprentice becomes a Shaman, the former Shaman steps down. This rank is chosen and cannot be challenged.
Sentinels 0/6: Law Enforcers, also in pairs of Male and Female. Sentinels keep the Pack in line from any trouble. They are to be sure the pack is safe from any harm it may bring, and to bring them to safety upon the Leaders orders. They ensure the Laws are enforced in the pack, and to not be broken. This rank can be challenged.
Hunters 0/∞: These wolves are very fit, athletic beings. They have a lot of experience during hunts and are the main power behind any kill. They are entrusted with hunting and providing nourishment for the pack. Hunters provide essential food for the pack. They require excellent teamwork skills, as they must work with other hunters to bring down large prey animals. Hunters are generally smaller than warriors, they are lithe and agile, whilst also possessing a hidden strength. The most crucial trait for a hunter is patience; a hunter without patience rarely brings home a kill. Hunters don't usually participate in skirmishes with other packs, however they would be obliged to fight for their pack if called upon by their Alpha and therefore require knowledge of fighting techniques and strategy. Wolves of other ranks may possess a fundamental ability to hunt, however they are liable to failure and injury.
Scouts 0/∞: Scouts are the pack's intruder alert system. They stay on the outskirts of pack territory and fend off danger to the best of their abilities. Scouts will usually be lean and swift and are typically smaller than wolves of any other rank. They report constantly to the alpha, and take turns with watch duty and patrols. They don't necessarily fight, but they should know basic fighting techniques and strategy.
Warriors 0/:∞ Warriors are the backbone of any pack, providing protection for their packmates and defending them against any prevalent threat. Most commonly, the wolves that become warriors are large and muscular, relying on their enormous strength to overpower the enemy. However, some warriors may also have a more lean physique, if they are able to utilize agility more than strength in their fighting techniques. Their time is spent perfecting their fighting technique and training, or occasionally participating in hunting parties, in which they can sometimes be more of a hindrance than a help, due to their general inexperience with hunting. If a skirmish or a battle breaks out, they must contribute.Caretakers 0/12: Unlike the Shaman and Shaman Apprentices, these wolves are able to have mates and pups. These wolves are packsitters. They maintain the Pack's health by making sure they rest and are treated well. They as well have to sacrifice, at most times, the will to hunt to take care of the ill, injured and the pups. However, their skills in healing makes up for it. It is very difficult to become a caretaker and thus these wolves are highly respected for they are considered very smart for the sacrifice they make in choosing to heal rather then hunt or fight.
Subordinates 0/∞: This is the main body of the pack. They are the body of the pack, and very important part of the pack. Without them, the pack wouldn't be a pack. They are unranked wolves, that normally take care of the clearing when the Leaders are not around. They act like Guards, as well as they are the Hunters of the pack.
Half-Years 1/∞: This term is applied to any young member with an age between 6 months to 1 year. They are the young, reckless wolves in the pack who are still learning the ropes of hunting and socializing. Unless they are weak, Half-Years will be allowed to attend hunts, but will not actually participate in them. They are in their learning stage.
Omegas 0/∞: Omegas are the lowest ranking wolves in the hierarchy. Any wolf that is allowed into the pack will start as an omega until they can be truly trusted, for a period of five months. Otherwise, Omegas are the old, young (wolves 1-2 years), injured, wolves that have done something wrong in the pack, or very submissive members of the pack and serve as a stress relief for the higher ranking individuals. They are often picked on and must wait to eat at a carcass until every other member of the pack has eaten and cannot leave camp without supervision or permission. These wolves do have an important role in that they will watch over the pack’s pups once the pups have graduated from the den and their mother’s milk. Even though the whole pack is in charge of caring for the young, the Omegas are the babysitters while the others hunt and are usually the most tolerant with the antics of the young ones. They must gain the alpha and alphess’ trust before they can move up gamma, hunter or packmate.
Pups 0/∞: This rank is pretty self-explanatory. These are members under 6 months. For a time, they will rely on their mother’s milk and then graduate to regurgitated meat that the pack will provide. They have no responsibilities besides being cute and having fun.
Assessments 0/∞: These are wolves who are new to the pack and seeking to join. They cannot join the pack unless the alpha is having a good day and the prey is plentiful. Still, there is a low-acceptance rate into the pack. The length of assessment varies but the wolf has to go through a loyalty assessment and often is bedded down with the omegas. Their assessment length also depends on if the wolf feels they are ready for the pack. These members are closely watched and often confined to the omegas den as well as being taken underneath a pack member's wing and heavily guarded. Usually these members will be promoted to omega at first after their assessment for three months until they have fully gained the pack's trust.
Peripherals 0/∞: These are members outside of the pack’s territories and are considered lone wolves. They are strictly not tolerated in the pack’s territory. Peripherals can mate, hunt and try their own dominance on each other though life is harder for a wolf with no pack, especially during winter. Raising pups and hunting as a peripheral has a low success rate and pups do not always survive when raised by a peripheral. They can mate with a pack member but the peripheral will often be chased out or killed and the pack member also will be punished for her crime.
Pack 2
Alpha 0/2: The alpha creates the rules for the pack and makes sure they are properly enforced. They demand respect and are in the position to exile, banish, or even kill those who do not show it. Consists of normally Male and Female. These wolves are logically the parents of the pack, the highest respected of the whole, entire pack. They have the final say, and as well as always looked upon by many wolves. If the Alphas do not get the respect they deserve, they will normally demand it. Alphas can be demoted, chased out or killed if they do not fulfill their duties. This rank must be earned.
Beta 0/2: The beta is the second-in-command. These are individuals who the alpha trusts above all others and, and will take control if the alpha is incapacitated or has to leave the territory. The second-in-command. These are normally the Alphas' "Advisors" in a way, as they always give certain opinions, go to the Alphas if there are any conflicts, as well as take care of the Pack when the Alphas are not present. They normally demand high respect as well, and only listen to their Alphas. They can fight to become alpha and are usually next in line to be alpha. This rank must be earned and can be challenged.
Gamma 0/2: They are often the wisest and oldest of the pack's members. In the hunt they run with the pack but have the power to push them in line if they fail. Generally do not do much but do tell stories, thereby passing down wisdom to the pack They also get a good meal after the hunt. They are the peace keeper of the pack, using mediation between those who're angry with one another. The Alpha may take them with them to speak with another pack over starting a treaty. They make sure that no serious fights break out within their own pack. This rank is chosen and cannot be challenged.
Delta 0/4: They are the voice of the pack and the lowest within the council. They are training to be betas though do not need to take the rank of beta and can remain as a delta. They are the lowest of the pack's inner circle and closest of the pack. Though they have no authority over the pack, messing with them is like messing with the alpha or betas. They are also in charge of keeping pack order and enforcing pack law and carrying out orders from the Betas & Gammas. This rank can be challenged and must be earned.
Theta 0/2: With herbal knowledge, this wolf helps treat the wounded. They can have mates and pups but their main duty is to the pack's healing and welfare, serving as not only a physical healer but also spiritual and mental as well. They give up the choice of fighting and hunting to heal the pack instead and are highly respected. This rank must be earned and cannot be challenged.
Iota 0/8: They heal and take care of the ill and injured. They have vast knowledge upon what plants and other natural resources will help cure and heal others.
General 0/2: Oversees the Vanguard, skilled in combat and tactics as well as being an intellectual ambassador who directs the intelligence. They are to make sure that no intruders enter the clearing. In doing so, it is a sentinel's responsibility to greet new visitors and learn why they are here and where they come from. Being in that position, it is the general’s job to make sure each new visitor that comes into the clearing has good intentions as well. When the general is not present within the clearing or if there is none, the greeting responsibilities go to all adult pack members. Generals also make sure that the pack members keep themselves out of trouble, and that means no fights break out between visiting werewolves (or other pack members), warning them of the rules. After the warning, the General may penalize continual aggressiveness or provoking werewolves out of the pack. If this does happen they are to report to a member of the leaders and inform them about what has occurred. This rank can be challenged.
Vanguard 0/∞: They are the fighters and scouts; responsible for patrolling and protecting the pack. Wolves who patrol the border and act under direction of the general. May operate as espionage. They are also skilled combatants. They may hunt small creatures as well. They stay in touch with other packs and keep friendly relations.
Kappa 0/2: They are in charge of leading hunts when the alpha is unable and in charge of Psi. They make sure that the entire pack is well fed and will not starve. They oversee that the pack will have a well balanced diet. This rank can be challenged.
Psi 0/∞: The hunters of the pack; they are responsible for hunting and providing the pack's nourishment as well as keeping track of resources. Those who hold this position are loyal and quick to follow orders. They have stealth and agility on their side and together are able to take down larger prey. Their duty is to keep track of natural resources, finding dens and areas of abundant food/water for the pack.
Selsa 0/2: Their job is to ward off intruders and are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the pack. They are in charge of the guards and need skills of peace and fighting. Selsas are somewhat strong, but usually loyalty gets them here. But in most cases a wolf must be a good fighter to be a Selsa, in case anything bad happens they are needed to fight. This rank is earned and cannot be challenged.
Rho 0/∞: The guards of the pack, they are left to chase after escapees/prisoners and force them back into line. Their job is to ward off intruders and are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the pack.
Epsilon 0/2: They are in charge of the Lambda and other lower ranks, and they know much about each thing and may help the caretakers teach the pups. Should have been an iota or vanguard due to needing fighting and peacemaking. They may at times even assist the hunters. Should an unwelcome visitor infiltrate the packs territory they are able to call upon the Vanguard/Rho. They are also the ones the pack comes to and confides in and deal with mental issues a pack mate may be having. They generally report to the gamma. This rank is earned and cannot be challenged.
Lambda 0/∞: They are the subordinates of the pack which make up the main body, have a little training in each field.
Sigma 0/∞: These are the apprentices, the adolescents who are paired with a mentor in a rank. They are in training to one day be a subordinate or take on a rank.
Dam 0/∞: Dams are females that are pregnant, nursing or taking care of pups. They will retain their ranking and continue working until two days before they are due to give labor where they may stop and find some type of shelter if moving, their time in this rank dependent upon the alpha’s mercy.
Eta 0/∞: They are packmates who are more submissive than other wolves, and thus are lower in ranking than the other packmates. They are often tasked with running errands for more dominant wolves instead of regular packmate duties, but they can become a regular packmate at any time by showing more dominant behavior to other packmates. Etas eat with the omegas and if the pack has to move, the Eta help the dams with their newborn pups until the pack has found a new place to settle. If the dam gives birth when the pack is traveling, the pack will form a protective circle around the dam in question.
Omega 0/∞: They are the second lowest rank in the pack. A most imperative wolf who serves solely to submit to superiors, allowing leaders to relieve stress and establish their power. They take care of the injured and the pups. This rank is for those who have been demoted in rank and need to gain the trust of the pack once more and the old. They serve as the pack's pupsitters and tending to the injured after treatment.
Pups 0/∞: They are the lowest within the pack hierarchy though are given a lot of social freedoms and responsible for learning the hierarchy and growing. They are too young to serve a purpose within the pack. They create a lot of havoc within the pack and are mostly tolerated by the caretakers and the omegas.
Assessments 0/∞: These are wolves who are new to the pack and those seeking to join.
The Tribes:
Chief 0/1: This is the leader of the tribe and always male. He is interested in obtaining wealth and safety of his tribe through whatever means necessary. He makes the final decisions and has final say in everything as well as being responsible for the health, prosperity and safety of the tribe. This rank must be earned.
Acolyte 0/1: She is the wife of the chief. Though she shares in the wealth of the chief, she is not on equal footing with him and her main duty to the tribe is to bear the children of the chief. She serves as the chief's second in command and is responsible for the day to day issues within the camp. This rank must be earned.
Shaman 0/1: This is the religious leader of the tribe. They teach the children the stories of their ancestors and are in charge of burials and keeping the history of the tribe. This position must be earned.
Hunters 0/∞: These members provide food for the tribe by engaging in hunting and scavenging. This rank is generally men.
Gatherers 0/∞: These members are in charge of gathering firewood in the cold months, gathering nuts and berries in the spring and summer, cleaning the camp, cooking the meals and caring for the children. The Gatherers are also responsible for caring for the animals and using the bones and skin to make clothing and huts. They are important members for they bear the future of the tribe and are usually females, though sometimes a male may be in this rank.
Herbalists 0/12: These members can be male or female and are responsible for taking care of the tribe's injuries and sickness. Herbalists use herbs and other natural medicines passed down to them through the generations to heal the tribe. They have herbal knowledge and are very smart. It is difficult to obtain the ranking of herbalist, therefore this important group is highly respected.
Wardens 0/∞: These are the scouts and guards of the tribe as well as being responsible for navigating. They are entrusted with protecting the tribe from the packs and other predators as well as invaders and going on patrols. When the group is moving, they run or walk ahead to clear the way and alert the tribe to danger.
Apprentices 0/∞: These are children from 10-15 years of age. Children who have turned 10 are seen as responsible adults and no longer babied, instead they are expected to pull their weight and choose a rank. They go through a ritualistic process to get their rank and once it is chosen, there is no turning back.
Children 0/∞: These are anyone under the age of 10. They do not have any duties and are useful only for helping their mothers cook meals and clean, doing chores and feeding the horses and dogs. Children are expected to listen and learn from the Shaman about the history of their tribe and their ancestors.
Elders 0/∞: These are the retired members, chiefs and acolytes who have achieved old age and served the group well. They are the grandparents of the tribe, no matter their relation, and they tell stories of knowledge, and teach the young and naïve, to let them know there is more to life than seeking ranks. Tribe members who gain Elder rank are highly respected. To become an elder, one must be at least
Outcasts 0/∞: These are the members who have been banished from the tribe. They are not allowed to share in the warmth of a fire or the food of the tribe, nor are they tolerated in the territory. Sometimes, an outcast may be given a skin and a knife but often they find themselves trying to survive the harsh wilderness alone.
General
1. There will be a monthly activity check. All you do is post your character(s) and group. If you do not post in the activity check thread, then your character(s) will be removed. I will save all deleted bios and you may resume your position in the role play if you return, unless your inactivity was excessive.
2. There is to be no trolling, stalking or plagiarizing of others work or artwork.
3 OOC chatting is allowed within the Discussion thread only. There is to be no OOC cursing or OOC within the RP.
4. If you expect an absence, please message an admin. Just give your name, character(s), a reason for you absence and an expected length of absence. Your characters will retain their rank and be put on hold during that time.
General IC:
1. This is a realistic and semi-literate roleplay. No text speech is allowed anywhere.
2. We require at least 7+ sentences in a post with proper grammar, punctuation and spelling. If your post contains less than the minimum, you will be asked to expand your post. A one word sentence such as "Yo" or "Yes" does not constitute a sentence. If you are having trouble then try to write details such as your character's emotions, the scenery around them, their thoughts towards someone speaking to them.
3. No power-playing or god modding. These terms are both when someone will play another's character without permission. Also, can occur when someone's character unnaturally reads the thoughts or feelings of others.
4. No killing off other characters without permission of all players. Be advised that dying in RP due to starvation, hunting, fights, hostage taking, or predators is a high possibility.
5. No Mary Sues or Gary Stus. No character is perfect and everyone has flaws. This means no superior strength, hunting abilities, scenting abilities, climbing abilities, or otherwise! Again this is realistic roleplay, so let's keep our characters realistic.
6. Mention the other characters your character is reacting with within your post or at the end of your post.
7. IC cursing and drama is allowed and encourage.
8. Do not play characters that are not your own. For instance, you cannot bring in a fictional 'shadow' character to aid you in your venture. A good example is hunting. Admins will role play medium and large game animals during a hunt. Members are not allowed to play them.
Wolf Mating & Reproduction
1. During a scarce, harsh year, only the alpha pair will be allowed to mate. During a plentiful year, any female may breed. HOWEVER, if you have not been given permission by the alpha, there is a high likelihood that the female alpha will either kill any puppies that aren't hers or exile a pregnant female from the pack.
2. Peripherals are allowed to breed with other pack members or other Peripherals. However, Peripherals are frowned upon by the alphas and will be chased off/seriously harmed if caught courting one of the pack females. The pack female may also be punished for being part of that courtship. Keep in mind, that raising pups without a pack is very hard to do!
3. Any wolf is allowed to have a mate, however pups may not be born unless one has the alpha's approval.
4. All litters must be announced to an administrator. Using a randomizing calculator, the admin will determine how many pups will die or be stillborn as well as gender and coat color. In the wild, not all puppies will make it through a season. Therefore, to stay realistic, not all roleplay puppies will make it either. It is up to the parents to decide what pups they want to play and what pups they want to die off.
Hunting and Foraging
1. Both wolves and humans have to really work to take down prey, and not every hunt is successful! This is key to remember.
2. Prey will fall under one of three categories: Small game, Medium game and Large game. Small game can be roleplayed by any member and will not require the Admin's permission. Just keep in mind, not many small game hunts are successful, especially during sparse winters. Medium game and Large game hunts will require the Admin's permission and four or more characters are required to participate in the hunt. The Admin will determine whether the hunts are successful and will play the medium and large game animals. No member is allowed to roleplay medium or large game.
3. When foraging or hunting, one runs the risk of injury or death by other predators, the packs or the tribes. Additionally, hunting may be sparser in winter then in other seasons. Refer to the following injury guide and the health guide below:
Type of Injury Description Examples Light These types of injuries are quicker to heal than all other injuries and don’t affect the character in any significant way. However, depending on the type of injury sustained, they can become infected or exacerbated if the character isn’t careful.
strained and sore muscles, cuts, scrapes, light bruises, light burns Moderate Moderate injuries will affect the character on a day to day basis, and will cause the character to be in pain and uncomfortable for a while, but is typically manageable. These injuries are usually not life-threatening if they are tended to carefully, but infection or exacerbation of the injury is easy if the character isn’t careful. gashes, second degree burns, sprained ankles, bruised ribs, bite wounds (punctures/tearing), moderate stings (fire ants, honey bee, emperor scorpion) Severe These injuries affect the character significantly and are typically life threatening or life changing if not tended to immediately. These injuries take a long time to heal on their own and will almost always leave behind evidence of the wound, such as a limp or scarring. broken bones, cracked ribs, severe burns, internal injury, concussion, venomous bites (snakes, giant desert centipede), severe stings (bullet ant, tarantula hawk wasp, velvet ant, warrior wasp, Indian red scorpion, deathstalker scorpion, Arabian fat-tailed scorpion) -
Important Note: If a character is stung by several honey bees or fire ants, this will be considered a moderate injury, as stated in the injury guide above. They will have trouble performing tasks and so on, as to be expected for its nature.
Health is important when it comes to spars (as well as roleplaying). If your character has poor health, he or she won't be in peak fighting condition. Use the following to judge what health your character is in:
Excellent Health
Your character qualifies for excellent health if they meet the following requirements:
- They are in great physical health and have no new moderate or severe injuries, such as lacerations, broken bones, or concussions. They may have few light injuries, so long as they do not hinder the character.
- They live in their tribe's territory, they just left their territory or a territory or they just entered the territory.
- They do not have a healed injury that hinders/restricts their movements, such as bones that were not set properly in the arms, legs, or wings. This also includes missing limbs, as they will never be as quick or as agile.
- They do not suffer from an untreated mental disorder.
Good Health
Your character qualifies for good health if they meet the following requirements:
- They are a Peripheral but haven't been on their own for more than two seasons.
- They have a recent light injury, such as a cut or scrape, that is less than 3 IC days old (unless it was healed with magic).
- If your character is blind and a Peripheral, they cannot be this health without the aid of a traveling companion that says (in their narrative) that they're tending to your character's needs.
- They are living in a realm but have a healed injury that hinders/restricts their movements, such as bones that were not set properly in the arms, legs, or wings. This also includes missing limbs, as they will never be as quick or as agile.
- If your character suffers from an untreated mental disorder that doesn't hinder their ability to care for their basic needs, such as eating and sleeping.
Fair Health
Your character qualifies for fair health if they meet the following requirements:
- They are a Peripheral and have been on their own for more than two seasons.
- They have a recent moderate injury, such as a laceration, such as a venomous bite/sting, or sprained ankle, that is less than 4 RL days old (unless it was healed with magic). Please note that the health guide specifies which venomous bites/strings are which.
- If your character is blind, is a rogue, and has no traveling companion that says (in their narrative) that they're tending to your character's needs.
- They are a Peripheraland have a healed injury that hinders/restricts their movements, such as bones that were not set properly in the arms, legs, or wings. This also includes missing limbs, as they will never be as quick or as agile.
Poor Health
Your character qualifies for poor health if they meet the following requirements:
- They have a recent severe injury, such as being blinded, a venomous bite/sting, broken bones, or a concussion that is less than 5 RL weeks old (unless it was healed with magic). Please note that the injury guide above specifies which venomous bites/strings are which.
- If your character suffers from an untreated mental disorder that hinders their ability to care for their basic needs, such as eating and sleeping. Please note that Clinical Depression counts as a mental illness.
Sign-Up Rules:
- Only two high ranks per person per tribe or pack.
- Do not beg for mates or a rank. Let fate decide and role play in RP such things.
- If playing a wolf, it must be a wolf that can survive the cold and harsh temperatures. No Mexican wolves, red wolves, Iberian wolves, Arabian wolves, Ethiopian wolves, etc.
- No dams (2nd pack) or pups can be made at this time. Your wolf should be at least 1 year old to join Pack 2 or at least 12 to join pack 1. Likewise with the tribes, no children, must be at least 10 be in a tribe. This rule will be lifted with time.
- Try to make an even number of males and females. If your first character is male, your next must be a female before you can make another male. You do not have to make multiple characters but may do so.
- Remember that as this is set in the prehistoric era, you will not have modern comforts such as guns, adequate shelter or an abundant food supply. There is a risk of dying in the RP, whether from malnutrition, being killed by a predator, injury while on a hunt or gathering, or old age. Women have a high risk of dying in childbirth and pups/children may suffer from infanticide. Not all pups or children will make it to adulthood either. It is possible that hunts will not be successful which means potential starvation.
- Put "Survive Tranquility" if you've read everything in the other section of your form.
- Wait for an admin to approve your application before jumping in.
