FLUFFY TORTOISESHELL-AND-WHITE MOLLY WITH BRIGHT AMBER EYES - WEARS PINK COLLAR WITH HEART SHAPED PENDANT

    — a femme who takes great pride in her appearance, with lusciously soft long fur and eyes of the brightest burning amber in the lands. she moves with a gait reflecting her delicate nature, walking with apprehension and sensitivity.

    — her eyes seem to gleam with the impression of a thousand stars at the tiniest thing that surprises or pleases her- they are often wide with awe, as she if often amazed about the world around her. a comfortable smile can often be seen rested comfortably on her lips, adding to an inviting appearance.

    mentality — ☼☽

    ESFJ, THE CONSUL

    — missy's naïveté stems from a place of passive pacifism, wishing to solve every conflict simply by being nice and befriending those who pose a threat. this can often backfire, leading her into trouble quite often as she is so blindly trusting even to people she has never met.

    — she believes almost anything that she's told, though has her beliefs about peace and how conflict should be sold- whenever someone acts violently, missy believes herself to be above such barbaric acts., and looks down on even justified violence.

    — she's an inherently kindhearted cat who means well no matter what she does; she'll never give up on someone, believing that everyone has good in them, and will avoid upsetting people at all costs (even if it ends up being worse for them in the long run).

    — she loves giving people compliments and lifting their spirits, and gets incredibly flustered and grateful when she herself is complimented. she's amiable and optimistic among her friends, and laboriously tries to make the mood better in any situation. she has an infectious laugh, a bubbling, giggly sound that is often muffled behind smiling lips.

✦ ✧ ✦ the soft, near silent jingling of her collar accompanied her soft steps as she approached the place that smelled quite different to the rest of the city... this was the place that zag had been talking about, right? the place where the scary cats lived, the place where she should never ever go because she wasn't quite strong enough to bear it, apparently. how utterly insulting! she had told him, with an indignant tone and her head held high, that she would show him exactly who was 'not strong enough'. him, obviously- that silly little coward, warning her against associating herself with such savage beings. well, here she was- she turned a glance back in the direction of her apartment, where he would likely be sat on the balcony watching and shivering in his bones as she dared to step closer. a smug look crossed her face as she thought of that coward, and as she thought of her next move.

it was rather an impulse, as she padded through this fabled territory, that she settled on the fact that she was going to show zag she was even tougher- she was going to join bloodclan. oh, gosh, he'd never believe her when she told him, but she was going to do it! no-one could stop her, except for bloodclan themselves- and with glistening eyes, the tortoiseshell 'unstoppable force' padded past the scent line, wrinkling her nose in disgust. oh, couldn't they have picked... perhaps, the scent of roses? just something nicer than this oily city smell... though, if she reeked like bloodclan, there was no way zag wasn't going to believe her!

✦ ✧ ✦ eyes wide with awe swept over every cat who appeared, for she was utterly fascinated by the sheer concept of these felines that she felt as if she should examine them closely. the first was a molly of creamy hue, faded striped painted upon her pelt, and a mask of chocolate framing silver eyes- then, a large grey tom with a gaze of emerald green, stoic in how he held himself. she'd never admit it, but these to in particular... scared her, a bit. intimidated her, she'd be more partial to. "oh, um-" she began, before in drifted another tom, holding himself rather loosely, who spoke in such a relaxed manner that he reminded her of zag and his own familiarity to her. rich orange and gold coated the body of another tom, whose words were directed toward the first, the graceful femme- and finally, in walked a hulking beast of a she cat, with two torn ears, no tail and the biggest claws she'd ever seen.

missy did her best to hide the fear that this terrifying group (save for the funny brown-and-white one, and the orange tabby).

"oh, i'm not lost! i know the city like the back of my paw," she hummed, her saccharine tone suiting the sweet smile that rested upon her maw. "i must have crossed your scent line, i gather? i'm terribly sorry, it wasn't my intention," missy apologised profusely, hoping she had not offended this strange group by treading upon their lands.

"nothing much is 'popping', actually..." missy giggled at the strange expression, almost losing her train of thought as she did so, "i was simply looking to join your ranks," she said, hope in her amber gaze. hopefully they'd accept, rather than eat her for a midday snack.

✦ ✧ ✦ bright eyes grew even brighter at the sight of a tiny kitten, one whom did not utter a single word. oh, how adorable! when missy had thought of bloodclan, she hadn't expected tiny kittens to be roaming about... and how lovely this little darling was. there was a pang in her chest, as she looked back in the direction of her apartment, envisioning zag sat there and cowering in fear as he watched her converse with these 'terrible beasts'. she hoped he wasn't too worried about her- she'd return to him safe and sound, no doubt about that! she was sure he'd be surprised to hear how surprisingly pleasant these bloodclan cats had been.

another feline appeared, a smile carved into his jaw, and he scrutinised her viciously with bright pink eyes. what a strange combination- oh, she'd never seen anything like him! he was utterly fascinating, and not in the most pleasant way, though she held her judgement for the moment. "i thought i'd already said!" she giggled, looking away in embarrassment. had she seriously forgotten to give her name? "my name's missy." the tortoiseshell spoke, puffing out her chest slightly in pride. it really was a lovely name, wasn't it? zag had always told her so.

the one from earlier with the graceful gait spoke again, asking of her intentions. oh, boy, what a doozy! she wasn't quite sure... and as sable spoke, she laughed nervously. a foolish impulse? she supposed she could call it that... so, it was improv time! "oh, no, of course not! i want to join because... i want, like, a taste of a new life! something different, something exciting... i want to do something rather than just mill around all day chatting to zag," she murmured- ah, there had ended up being some truth to her words, hadn't they? she wanted to prove she was more than just a pretty face, more than just a foolish pet... though, she wasn't quite sure how.

✦ ✧ ✦ spill blood for family? lose your own blood defending them and whatnot? oh, it was all rather cut-throat, wasn't it? but she couldn't just up and flee, could she- she'd made a commitment now, one she had to stick to because she was bound by these strange clan-cat laws. still, the fluffy tortoiseshell arrived to draw up beside her supposed family, giving them all sure looks with her amber eyes, but deciding to just shrug it off and play along- it was what it took to fit in around here, right?

or, she could just avoid the topic entirely. yeah, that sounded more manageable.

"snapdragon? oh, what a wonderfully exotic name," she cooed, easily-impressed awe glimmering like a thousand stars in her gaze of tangerine. a mottled tail would curl itself around gracefully-placed paws, and a gentle smile crossed her maw. "my my, it doesn't have to be so complicated, right? a name can just be a name, sometimes. though I suppose you all know better than i do."

✦ ✧ ✦ skyclan? oh, what a pretty name that was! much nicer than bloodclan, anyway... though she supposed they couldn't be much more civilised than these brutes. weren't skyclan one of the forest cats that did anything to survive? feral and dangerous and constantly bent on war? oh, all of this was rather dramatic... surely they could all find nice housefly to settle down with? there was no need to fight, really. well, other than pride, and missy supposed she could somewhat relate to that.

"oh, may i attend this 'patrol' event?" she asked, tilting her head in interest. what was it they did on these infamous patrols? waltz around looking tough? "i think i am able enough... all four of my legs work, at the very least."

✦ ✧ ✦ unlike the majority of people here, missy was not familiar with the scent of blood nor did she ever want to be. and though she had willingly joined this 'bloodclan' gang, she had very much anticipated that is was all a facade for clout, and that they didn't actually kill people. but here, upon what she had now learned to be the border, stood a beefcake of a tom with a terribly ugly face and the limp body of another cat between his jaws.

too horrified to look away, missy wrinkled her nose in a disgusted snort, huddling herself up rather small lest this swole fellow leapt toward her with claws unsheathed and went nuts. "oh my god! what is wrong with you?" she asked, revolted by the sight. "and you are rather the unsightly thing, as well. perhaps you are being punished for doing such terrible things, hm?" she hummed, her amber gaze glowing with sheer disapproval and horror. it seemed as if he wasn't particularly welcome here, either- perhaps she wouldn't have to put up with this savage for very long.

✦ ✧ ✦ there was a smell in the air that missy did not recognise, of pine and forest and nature, rather opposite to bloodclan's own unpleasant scent. she was not prideful to have such a scent on her fur, and she was even less prideful to have to stand beside half-face mcgee and call him 'family'. oh, everyone here was so dramatic... couldn't they just sit back, relax, and find someone to pamper them? though she wasn't sure any up walker would want to take in half of the brutes running around in this place.

"i don't know what you're acting all confused about," missy snorted to nathanos,"these cats smell exactly like the dead one you brought here the other day. there is no honour in lying." besides, she had no attachment to this place- it was just somewhere she went to make herself look tough in front of her friends and zag, and then she would just go back home and settle down in her nice soft bed. oh, how she wished she could flee and never come back after seeing the true nature of these cats, but she was afraid they would flay her for doing so. and she had no idea whether she was meant to be truthful or not- no-one had ever told her. in her eyes, Nathanos was just being difficult with little reason.

✦ ✧ ✦ had she managed to find this place alright? it had been quite a trek from her apartment to the forest in which these 'thunderclan' cats dwelled, but she recognised the scent from the body that that terrible, ugly brute nathanos had dragged in, and from the cats who had been looking for that body. that morning, it had taken the kittypet about two hours to find this place, unaware she had also been crossing other borders to get there. but when she recognised the smell, she stopped, knowing how protective these clan cats were of their borders.

curling her fluffy tail around her paws, the femme would sit in wait for herself to be happened upon. bright amber eyes flickered around the surroundings, unsure of what direction these thunderclanners would come from; for all she knew, these were the ones that climbed the trees and one would come rocketing down from above. no doubt her mix of bloodclan and kittypet scent would confuse them, though... she wasn't quite aware of that fact.

oh, she just wanted to disassociate herself. go back to when everything was easy.

✦ ✧ ✦ there was an icy quality to the fiery queen's voice, and missy immediately tuned into the fact that she wasn't really welcome here. a scent associated with her had seeped into their land and had killed one of their own- she couldn't blame them. though, these cats were entirely intriguing to the tortoiseshell... they seemed more together than bloodclan, more respectful. despite the scent that clung to her fur the majority of them made no violent assumption and spat no poisonous words.

"i am missy. bloodclanner by day, house cat by night," she said, sipping her head to the cats who surrounded her. one in particular was lively, and spoke to her as if she was already a friend. missy's heart felt a longing for a friend within bloodclan, a friend she had not yet found. "um, i'm here to... give my condolences for your lost... clan... mate?" she wasn't quite sure what they called their comrades, and the usually prissy she-cat shuffled her paws in embarrassment. "i... wish i didn't have to associate with nathanos. i was there the day he brought your friend to us. it made me sick." she hummed, a sadness in her voice.

✦ ✧ ✦ was bloodclan supposed to feel like home? everyone there talked of loyalty, of protecting their 'family' with their life, yet missy still felt no loyalty to them. perhaps it was the fact that she hadn't made any connections, yet. she couldn't wait to get home to zag and tell him all about the wonderful things that she did in bloodclan, and how tough and cool she was, and the awe in his eyes was so entertaining it motivated her to go back. but she hadn't been visiting zag lately, simply because she did not want to recount the day to him. about bodies being dragged to their borders, about encountering grieving and angry forest cats, about witnessing a terrible half-faced brute bring a skinned feline as a nauseating gift. she hated nathanos- how he spoke to her like she was weak, like she was a child, and she hated how he could kill without remorse. so she had left bloodclan's camp without secrecy, earlier than she normally had.

rather lost in thought as she remembered the terrible events of the day, the girl pondered as to whether she should visit zag today. he'd probably be worried about her- he always was- thinking she had been eaten by a bloodclanner or injured in battle. she remembered how his ebony-and-white let would brush against hers as he asked her how her day was in his gentle, low voice, how his hazel eyes would darken with concern when she told him of her adventures.

yes, she would visit him today. maybe she wouldn't talk, but she'd at least try to catch a glimpse. besides, he was only next door.

    / RYLAND.

✦ ✧ ✦ oh, what had she gotten herself into? it was rather disheartening, the fact that such a brash decision of hers had landed her having to be associated with murderers and cats that resembled minions of the antichrist. though, she had been learning a couple of nifty techniques, an effort to do her bit so she wasn't disliked by everyone there. but really, the femme couldn't wait to go home every night, talk to zag and snuggle up to her housefolk. some days she wouldn't even come here. and she was not going to take that awful blood oath thing if it was the last thing she did. they could kill her for it.

about noon she would come to camp with a rat hanging between her jaws, and after warily checking her surroundings to ensure no-one she didn't like was approaching her, missy sat down and leant to take a bite of this creature. usually she wouldn't stoop so low, but her owners had forgotten to feed her than morning and she was absolutely starving. with a grimace on her face, she braced herself for the taste-

ah, she was right. swallowing reluctantly, the tortoiseshell screwed up her face, wide amber eyes looking with longing in the direction of her apartment. did everything here have to be so awful?

✦ ✧ ✦ rather soon it seemed as if all hell was breaking loose. first came nathanos, spitting sugary-sweet, saccharine words in a way she had never seen him do so in a non-deceptive way. though, perhaps he truly was complimenting her- wouldn't that be a turn? there was clear confusion on her face as she spoke, and she couldn't help but slightly furrow her brows as her brain desperately tried to comprehend the fact that he was being nice to her. "uhm... thank you, i suppose. though it doesn't really taste like a 'wonderful catch'," she mused, voice sounding entirely befuddled and entirely disgusted at the level she had knocked herself down to. upon sinclair's approach, though, she at first thought he too was going to bother her with congratulatory words she didn't want, for she was not proud of her catch- but what he said was perhaps more surprising.

his words intrigued her. something that tasted better...? but what might that be? this was so disgusting, he probably could have fed her dirt and she would have enjoyed it more... though, his words were rather enticing. there was a quality to the way he spoke that piqued her curiosity, and though she couldn't wait to get back home and munch on some kibble, missy found herself curious as to what this mystery offer might be. "you can? would you? how?" she asked hurriedly, hope in her voice and her mind clearly emptied of the rat she had taken one solitary bite out of. at ryland's arrival, the well-groomed femme found herself a lot more at ease- here was another she knew, who treated her nicely, whom she may even consider a friend of sorts in this awful concrete hell... and she did not blame him for his disdain when he saw what she had stooped down to.

"oh, i wish i didn't have to, but i didn't get fed this morning, and..." she sighed, briefly, "i was so hungry..." at his mention of birds, bright tangerine eyes flickered from ryland to sinclair to ryland to sinclair, easily-impressed awe as bright and obvious as the light of the sun in her gaze. "birds? oh, i heard they taste nice! you simply must-"

but then there was another voice, one full of disdain and hatred and everything she remembered she loathed about this place. this was the femme whom had snapped at her at the border, right? a pouty expression weaved itself upon missy's face, though at crow's harsh words she couldn't help but fold her ears back in embarrassment. tightening her jaw, she cast her eyes away, swallowing in shame even when her friend came to defend her. at ryland's words, she put on a brave face, furrowing her brows and announcing her agreement with certainty, "yeah!" yet on the inside she knew ninety-per-cent of cats here shared crow's beliefs.

✦ ✧ ✦ to hear her name hissed out in anger was terrifying, especially in a place like this. here, she was constantly watching her back. here, she never felt safe, no matter who talked to her. at the beast's call, she wouldn't bear to look him in the eye, more embarrassed than anything. it seemed some people were watching- why? did they have such little else to do? shouldn't they be out killing people or something?

she scowled at his calls, accusing her of things she didn't do. they already knew nathanos had done it! they found it out on the border patrol, not when missy had visited them. "i wanted to give them my condolences," she murmured, voice quiet, her gaze cast upon the ground. "i wasn't aware it would be outing you...? i thought that-" her words hitched in her throat, "i thought they already knew you'd done it. it was the least i could do since their friend didn't get the dignity of a burial..." her voice shook, and she indeed felt shame. but it had been an accident. she had not meant to tell them vital information. "the leader wasn't even angry. he just... wanted to be left alone. i'm sorry."

she scuffed her paws. zag had always said she was too naïve, hadn't he? she'd never been able to see it until today.

✦ ✧ ✦ she cowered more at the sheer violence of his words, shaking her head and trying to stop herself from retching in fear. ah, she really was dumb, wasn't she? how could she ever have thought she'd be able to get by in a place like this? she should have stayed home, stayed home today and every day after that. but, sinclair and ryland... she didn't want to leave them behind. in this horrid place they were the two people that made it just about bearable. "i'm sorry," she said again, voice shaking. what else was she to say? she hadn't known. she hadn't been aware this was treason. she didn't know thunderclan were enemies- they certainly hadn't acted like it.

in her wavering presence she did manage to spit out four words- "don't call me that." dearie. it was a horrible pet name, one she cringed at the use of, and she certainly didn't want this beast referring to her with such a name. he had threatened her, too... what, was she meant to just stand there and take it? why wasn't he attacking her? "why don't you just do it? you don't want me here, do you? and you seem to have no qualms with ripping my kind apart."

her question was not malicious in its intent- it was laced with terror and asked in genuine curiosity. what was stopping him from leaping upon her and killing her in an instant for this so-called 'heinous crime'?

✦ ✧ ✦ missy would not be long after the others, her presence rather meek and withdrawn that it had been before. a week ago she would have been optimistic, willing to welcome this mysterious stranger with open arms, to sweep him into an accommodating embrace and to compliment the striking feature that was his eyes. they were very, very blue, and she found a small smile lace her features at the beauty of them- because, being rather superficial, all that was needed to make a good impression on her was looking nice in some way. she was so well groomed because of that, incapable of living within anyone's judgement but her own.

"hi," she would murmured simply, voice weak as she tried to offer a gentle and withdrawn smile to the newcomer.

✦ ✧ ✦ and along the dark queen came- the mere kittypet found it terrifying and was not able to speak at all, letting nathanos do the talking. the way he spoke she could tell that he believed creature was going to take his side, and she tightened her jaw in frustration, well aware that she would be punished for this. she did not know that bloodclan and thunderclan were enemies, nor did she mean to give them away... but she couldn't undo it now, could she? all she could do was give her reasons, and that she would.

"i..." she began, unable to prevent her hitching tone, "i just wanted to... make them feel better about the fact they hadn't been able to bury their friend. i didn't... i didn't mean to give anything away." it was an awful defence and she knew it, but what else could she do? by now she was just in wait for the harsh words that would seal her fate. because she was fighting a losing battle. even if creature did not punish her, nathanos would be out to get her now.

✦ ✧ ✦ the sweet-smelling scent of the kittypet, so out of place among the oily scent of the city cats, had long since fled the bloodclan camp; through and through, she was a coward, wasn't she? eyes of amber looked upon almost every cat here in fear, yet she did not have the guts to leave. cowering in corners, avoiding the piercing gazes of many of her so-called clanmates, it was obvious she was out of place here... though she kept herself there, for whatever reason. it was only after some convincing that she had realised how in-danger she really was in this place.

so she had fled, but not obviously. by a select few she had been hidden and lead away. perhaps one day she would pay bloodclan more heed, but for now... her traitorous paws would not tread the earth in this place ever again. to cushy kittypet life she would return, though not before ensuring with aid that her trail was concealed, so no one may follow her and put her home in danger.

Baby mine, don't you cry. Baby mine, dry your eyes. Rest your head close to my heart, never to part, baby of mine. Little one, when you play, pay no mind what they say. "Let your eyes sparkle and shine, never a tear, baby of mine." If they knew all about you, they'd end up loving you, too. All those same people who scold you- what they'd give just for the right to hold you.

From your head to your toes, you're not much, heaven knows. But, you're so precious to me, sweet as can be, baby of mine.
