"No," White breathed; this was his battle, not hers. He was a reputable warrior! He didn't need someone thinking they could take over his fights; it was humiliating. Though, as White tried to rise, it was an obvious struggle. He had to squint to even tell that there were two cats there, and he barely pushed himself up by the front paws before he feel back. The visual snow was awful for White. "Don't do it." Was she even in Windclan? Who even was that? White continued his feeble attempts to stand as the rogue paused.
With a sigh, the rogue turned to Snapdragon and dropped his prey.
"Alright, let's-" he was cut off by her claws digging into his side, him hitting the ground roughly on his left side. He attempted to slash her across the neck, growling out viciously.

"I'll go." He wasn't asking if he could; he was going, no matter what. His head was fine enough, and if 'currently - walking - with - a - limp' Thornstep and pregnant Stormfeather could go, he could too. He never intended for any of them to get involved in the random attack; no one was going to get hurt over his failure.
// fgfnhghdfhsghfh im so so sorry zae I was thinking of stormfeather when i wrote that part

White glared to Thornstep. "I can help. Let me up. Now." White still struggled to rise, but by leaning on Thornstep he was making more progress that he had before. The knock back to the ground was jarring enough to send him tumbling back down.
"Ow, you idiot!" he snapped. His ears rang was Thornstep shouted out to Snapdragon, and White wished desperately that he knew anything that was going on.
"If either of you get hurt I will never forgive myself," he said quietly then louder he said, "Beat him to the ground!" he yelled aggressively, giving himself a worse headache than before.
The rogue turn to Thornstep and scoffed. "Hey, can't a guy get a meal?" he dragged his claws out and stalked towards the green eyed warrior.
"Both of you are idiots. Well, all three of you, but one down two to go, huh?"

Whitelightning snuck from the shadows of the warrior den, walking over to Duckstar. Each step there was a slight blur to his image, but otherwise everything settled itself back to proper working order.
"Task." he plainly demanded.
-
Duckstar, huh? That was going to be hard to get used to. Still, Whitelightning walked towards Tall Rock, sitting a few seats behind Thornstep.

Sleep was something that very commonly eluded White; even from a young age, the tom's rest could be interrupted by the slightest sound or movement. Thornstep's shuffling and footsteps was just enough to rouse him from sleep. He rose his head, and for a while simply watched Thornstep go. If he wanted to go out and freeze, so be it. After a while, though, White rationalized that he could at least talk to the guy; he was owed something from the brown tom waking him up. He went to the middle of camp and slumped down near Thorn.
"Is there a reason you've decided to flee from the rest of us?" he grumbled, pawing at his face to take the sleep from his eyes.

Whitelightning would keep his personal gripes with Duckstar quiet as he went to the center of camp; going to Darkclan to patrol might even be fun. Maybe Duckstar was being generous this week.
"I'm gathering a patrol to Darkclan. Gather around."
-
Whitelightning looked to the two mollies and gave a small smirk. "Alright. Make sure both of you keep up when the time comes." He sounded heartless, but he knew he wouldn't leave either of them behind. He cared for his clanmates believe it or not; he appreciated both of the girl's enthusiasm. He felt a twitch of guilt when allowing Birdpaw to come along. Brightshine was an experienced warrior with a few moons of practice above him, while Birdpaw's.. condition made him naturally wary. He had no doubts that the medicine cat apprentice would be able to keep up, but he would hate for her to hurt herself on his watch. Still, though, he was the one would told her to stand taller and be more brave. He was proud she even offered despite his gut reaction.
The missing kits worried him greatly. His face would remain emotionless, but god, he'd do what Duckstar asked. Those kits would be found. "I can and will, Duckstar."
Finally, he turned to Thornstep. He stared back at him, his smirk regretably melting into more of a genuine smile as he spoke each word. "Seems like there's more dangers around home than out there," he morbidly joked, "But I'll still be careful."
-
"Well, all your commotion still ended up dragging me out here, so you failed step one of that genius plan." he teased, then , as soon as Patch tackled Thornstep, he reeled back with a sour look. "Be careful, kid," he scolded. White cringed as Thorn remarked how there was enough room for everyone- it implied White would be in on the cuddle pile, which he kind of wanted but wanted no one to know. Reluctantly, he pressed himself into Thorn's side; as soon as Birdpaw came by, he pulled himself away. He still found himself shoulder to shoulder with Thornstep, though.
-
Whitelightning's head turned towards.. whatever that sound was. He followed it, keeping his head low until he was face to tail with Thornstep. There were a lot of options the Siamese had in that moment; he could've helped Thornstep, or call for him to pull his friend out of the log. White laughed. He laughed a lot. "How do you even do that?" he said between snickers, going around to the front of the leg and poking his head barely into the entrance of the other side. "I give you too much credit sometimes. You're an idiot."
-
Whitelightning paced out to view the stranger on Windclan's soil. "What brings you?" he asked; ah, Riverclan cats. He never had a chance to meet a Riverclanner- he only had the pleasure of viewing their land from the border. "I can go let Duckstar you're here if you wish." He wouldn't be offended if their goal was to deliver that basket to their leader. His natural defensiveness made him extremely weary of that basket. "I see you come bearing... gifts.."
-
Stupid Thornstep. Who did he think he was? He was just some nerd. Some nerd with a great personality. Some nerd with a great personality and nice eyes. A friendly, smart, charismatic, cute nerd.
White did not enjoy his use of all those descriptors.
When did he realize he perhaps liked Thornstep as more than a friend? A while ago. When did he admit it to himself? Just now. Romance was hell, and White felt every inch of his body burn as he went over to the sleeping tom and gave him a light kick to the side. "Wake up." he commanded. White didn't have a plan for how he was going to break the news to Thornstep. His heart hurt and it spread out to his entire chest. He was a seasoned warrior, and this was going to be the hardest thing he had ever done. Fantastic.

Whitelightning made his way through the forest, paws aching from rocks poking into them. He thought about how lucky he was to have the beautiful moors to run through as opposed to those scattered rocks that only served to make the trek out to Darkclan harder. Even at simply the border the transition of terrain was painful to navigate through. He continuously turned back behind him to check on the two cats that accompanied him on the patrol. He hadn't been able to spot any prey out this way either; maybe on the way back home. Finally coming up to the border, he simply stood and waited for either Darkclan cats to meet him out here or his accomplices to walk up beside him.

Whitelightning scoffed at Winter's abrupt words, ignoring them and instead turning to respond to Forstfang as his first order of business. "Windclan is well, relatively speaking. I would like to ask if you all have seen any missing kits, though. Two of our younger members have disappeared and we're all worried for them." He shot a look over to Hawkmask and Frost. "An outspoken apprentice could be a blessing or a curse," he mumbled; I'm glad I'll only have to see this apprentice once in my life, he thought. "We can be on our way as soon as you let us know if you've seen any Windclan kits and we mark the border, thank you."
-
"I'm-" he grumbled and and turned away from Thornstep, "Just come on." he walked slower than he usually would've; he knew Thornstep's leg was still giving him problems. It'd be cruel to ask the guy to follow then just leave him behind. Eventually, he led Thornstep out to the middle of the moor. He sat and patted at the ground. "Sit. Let's talk." Then sun just barely poked over the horizon. It was beautiful.
-
"Goodbye," Whitelightning called out to Frost, his tone dipped in frustration. Turning to Brightshine, he whispered. "Should we wait on Birdpaw before we head out?" yes, they completed their task, but with no sign of the medicine cat apprentice, his nerves spiked.
-
White sat with a smug look on his face as Duckstar mentioned his good deeds. As much as he hated to admit it, but his disdain for the other tom fizzled a little bit each day. Perhaps Duckstar wasn't as bad as he once thought. Either that, or the power of being a leader was forcing White into a place where he had no choice but to respect him. White supposed it didn't matter in the long run. "Thank you, Duckstar." he replied, ready to turn and go back to continuing tasks.

White made his way over to Brightshine and stopped right in front of her. "Task, please."

Whitelightning walked aimlessly through the moor, taking in the sweet breeze of crisp air. With the breeze came the harsh smell of blood, and in a panic, he followed it. Stumbling on the kitten was horrifying. He bent down to scope out the wounds on her, wanting to stop the bleeding as soon as he could. In a huff, he reached down and tried to pick up the kitten. If she'd let him, he would carry her back into camp and sit her right in the medicine den. "You'll be okay." he said in her gruff, deep voice in an attempt to calm the probably terrified kit.
