Glitterpaw didn't understand why everything was going so bad lately. So many good animals were dying, while others were being taken. And it wasn't even the Exiles this time that was bothering them. No, it was the Cartel, a clan that Glitterpaw didn't even know anything about. They took the life of both Hebe and Nadine, and captured so many others. What did the Ruins even do to the Cartel to deserve such treatment? Maybe they were just like the Exiles, acting out ruthlessly for no real reason other than the hell of it. The thought upset Glitterpaw, knowing so many vicious creatures were out there.
He was a bit on edge from it, scared of what might happen next. He had already been captured once before, and was afraid it might happen to him again. Everyone else around was also on edge from worry and anger alike. Sometime he found himself wondering how those like Hebe or Nadine's children were feeling. To have someone that special ripped away from them... Glitterpaw didn't even know how he would react if his father died. Sure, Morphineblast had disappeared for a while, but at least he was back. If he was dead...
Glitterpaw sighed as he wandered aimlessly around, lost in thought. Red God, he wished that he could make things better. As he was walking, Glitterpaw was startled out of his mind when he heard the cry of Chardonnay. Kero? he thought, spinning on his heels to follow the yell. What was happening? By the time he got there, Alaksiej and Jace were also present. Laying on the ground before them were a couple of letters. Glitterpaw gasped when he saw that one was addressed to him. He quickly read it over, the realization slowly sinking in.
"D-Did... did h-he?" he mumbled, lip trembling. He looked over at Jace, the oldest of the group. His eyes were brimmed with tears as he looked towards the leader. Glitterpaw already knew the answer, though. Kerosene was dead, and by his own actions. The weight of everything got to him too fast.

Before just a few days ago, Glitterpaw didn't even know what an honesty hour even was. Then suddenly they started popping up everywhere in the clan, until it seemed that everyone had held one. When Glitterpaw found some time for himself, he figured that he might as well jump on the bandwagon and hold his own. It would be interesting to see what questions the other Ruiners would ask him. Hopefully he wouldn't be asked some of the more, er, gruesome questions he heard before. He wouldn't know how to answer them. "I'm, uh, h-holding an h-honesty hour," he called out.
-
Oh my, there were a lot more people that showed up than he was expecting. The sudden influx of questions overwhelmed him for a moment as they came one by one. Shaking his head, Glitterpaw first focused his attention towards Alaksiej, who arrived first. He was pleased to hear that the warlord's question wasn't one of the morbid ones he had been previously asking. "Um... p-probably sw-sweet stuff," he answered with a sheepish smile.
Next, he looked at Elian. Ah, biggest fear...? Glitterpaw looked at his paws in thought. There were a lot of things that he feared, honestly. Many things made him nervous, and Elian was very much one of those things. He didn't know how comfortable he felt telling his biggest fear to Elian, but he was going to answer anyways. That's what he signed up for with this honesty hour. "Pr-probably not, um, b-being strong enough..." he muttered. He felt his ears flush with color before he looked to the next animal.
What made him want to be a nurse? Glitterpaw felt himself brighten up once more at this question. "Oh! M-My brother was o-one. I also w-wanted to f-find a way to be use-useful," he responded with a shy smile. He always felt ashamed for his inability to fight, but was happy to know that he could prove useful some other way. He was knocked out of his thought at Niko's words. "I-I am! It's... it's just a g-g-game."
He frowned for a moment, before moving on to the next question. "I d-don't th-think I have one," he chirped. He really never thought about it like that before. He just liked offering assistance in the form of healing. It gave him his part in the clan. As Glitterpaw's father arrived, he smiled excitedly. The question that followed made him happy as well. "Hmmm... s-something shiny!"

The last time Glitterpaw saw Ver was when she officially adopted him into the Million family. Back then, she was happy and loving, a stark contrast to the anger she now spat out at the border. Her words made Glitterpaw flinch, not expecting such fire from her. When he first saw her on the border, he had started running towards her to give her a hug. However, he now skidded to a halt, backing away timidly. "U-Um, wh-who?" he asked. Was she looking for Ayra? Maybe this was something to do with Nadine's recent passing...

As he was a nurse, Glitterpaw spent much of his time inside the physician's pyramid. He liked to watch Petra work, using it as an opportunity to learn more about healing. Sometimes, though, he could admit that it could be boring just being inside all the time. However, as he wasn't one of the injured ones being kept for a reason, he was able to come and go as he pleased. As for the patients, not so much. Usually, Glitterpaw tried to keep an eye on them, but sometimes he slacked on the job when he decided to leave for a break.
Now was one of those times, and quite the bad timing as Sourpatch decided to sneak out. When Glitterpaw noticed, he hustled over in worry. "Ah! D-Don't aggravate y-your wounds!" he exclaimed. Sourpatch was indeed looking better than he did before, but that didn't necessarily mean that he was entirely healed. If Petra hadn't cleared him to leave yet, then he needed to be careful.

Recently, it had dawned on Glitterpaw that he would be reaching twelve months old soon. He would be a year old. Would that consider him not a kid anymore? He sure still felt and acted like one, sensitive and innocent as ever. Ah, did that also mean he would have to take on his full name? Glitterpaw wasn't sure, but he didn't really want to think too hard about it. It made him a little sad, thinking about growing up.
For now, the nurse still considered himself just a kid. And because he was still a kid, he was one hundred percent down with taking a nap alongside Alaksiej. When he saw the sleeping warlord, Glitterpaw couldn't help by smile fondly. Usually, Siej was all grumpy, but now he seemed so peaceful. Carefully, Glitterpaw settled himself down near Alaksiej, close by but not close enough to be touching. He set his head on his paws before closing his eyes, a soft purr rumbling from his chest. This was relaxing.

If invading enemies were anything like Glitterpaw, the line of bodies would definitely drive them away. He hated going near it, having to both see and smell the rotting corpses. But obviously, invaders did not have the same gentle heart that Glitterpaw possessed. The border probably did manage to drive away loners and such, but it did nothing to stop the Exiles and the Cartel from getting in. Glitterpaw himself had been captured from within the confines of the border.
"A-Ah, that s-seems pr-protective," muttered the nurse as he watched Siej work. He had noticed the NPCs along with Alaksiej dragging around the wood, and had trailed behind them wondering what they were doing. Turns out, Alaksiej had the idea of reinforcing the border. Maybe that would help some...?

All of the intense devotion that both Bluevelvet and her mother gave to the Red God made Glitterpaw nervous. He was already afraid of their deity, let alone all the preaching of violence and sacrifice. If Bluevelvet wasn't so, ah, devoted Glitterpaw would probably be closer friends with her. Though, despite their differences, Glitterpaw was still upset when he heard that she was captured by the Cartel. He really hoped that they didn't harm her too bad. When he was captured by the Exiles, they had no qualms against harming him, even if he was a child.
Luck was on Bluevelvet's side, it seemed, as she was already back with minimal injuries. Although, she did look... different. Her fur was a whole new color! "Bl-Bluevelvet! You're back!" the nurse exclaimed as he rushed on over. He took a moment to examine her for any bad injuries, but all he found were minor scrapes and the such. That was good, the Cartelians didn't torture her.
-
Usually, Glitterpaw didn't like to participate in rituals in the name of the Red God. This one, however, he felt like he could join in. Unlike most of the other rituals he had seen, this one didn't seem to require murder or sacrifice. Just a simple, yet meaningful gesture towards those that they had lost. It would be a nice thing to do after all that the Sanguine Ruins had gone through, for all the amazing animals they had lost.
The nurse would approach, taking one of the paper boats. He carefully lit it in the fire before bringing it over to the Red Nile. Making sure not to touch the crimson waters, he settled the flaming boat down into the Nile before letting it go. "For K-Kerosene. I... I miss y-you," he trailed off, not knowing what else to say. He could feel tears form at the brim of his eyes, threatening to fall. The nurse sniffled, pulling away from the Nile to leave room for anyone else.

Glitterpaw had been one of those that had caught Cherrywine collected the bones off the border. He, like everyone else, wondered what in the world she was going to do with them. Decoration was his first thought, but for all he knew they were being used in some weird ritual for the Red God. He wasn't sure how devoted Cherrywine was to the deity, but he knew that a lot of the members of the Ruins believed wholeheartedly in the Red God.
When Glitterpaw saw Cherrywine once more with her bones, he was even more confused than before. He looked at the arrangement of bones, trying to understand what it was that she was doing. "Wh-What are y-you d-doing?" he finally asked.
-
The only reason Glitterpaw recognized the scent of the Cartel was because of their recent attacks on the Sanguine Ruins. When he smelled it, along with the unmistakable smell of injury, he had rushed over. Probably wasn't a good idea for him to hustle towards an enemy, but he needed to see who was injured. When he saw the slumped form of Beleth, he let out a small gasp. "I c-can try to h-h-help," he offered towards Arya. He wasn't Petra, but he could try.

Gazing up at the stars was something Glitterpaw often found solace in. It was a very relaxing activity, just laying out and watching the night sky. The stars were always so beautiful and never ending. Glitterpaw really liked that about them. As the world was continuously changing, the stars above stayed consistent in their magnificence. He was truly lucky that he lived in such a place that he was able to view them every night.
"A-Aren't they pr-pretty?" Glitterpaw sighed to Ace and Teresa as he wandered over. His bright pink gaze was directed up to the skies, the light of the stars reflecting against them. He took a seat nearby, but not breaking his eye contact with the stars. They were just... mesmerizing.

Kerosene was one of Glitterpaw's closest friends. When Kero was having troubles with his gender, Glitterpaw was the first to recognize what was happening and approach the issue. Apparently his words of advice were helpful, as Kerosene was quick to come out to the rest of the clan about his gender identity. It made Glitterpaw proud, knowing that there was someone else in the clan who was proud of their identity, like he was. Even though he was younger than Glitterpaw, Kerosene was a source of inspiration to the nurse. He looked up to Kerosene.
When Glitterpaw came across the letter addressed to him and found out what had happened, he was devastated. Kerosene was dead, at his own paws nonetheless. Glitterpaw couldn't help but feeling guilty, like he hadn't done enough. He knew that Kero was hurting after all that had happened, yet he didn't reach out like he should've. He just hoped at least that wherever souls go after death that Kero was happy and comfortable.
As both Jace and Redvelvet spoke, Glitterpaw could feel tears beginning to form at his eyes. They began to fall, rolling down his cheeks to drop to the sandy floor. He sniffled, raising a paw to wipe at his teary eyes. Ah, he was crying again...

He was.... Glitterpaw was a year old now. Did that mean that he was considered grown now? He certainly didn't feel like it. He was still so small, so naive and immature. The thought of being an adult was something that he just couldn't wrap his mind around. Glitterpaw just felt so far away from ever being grown. And not even just in a physical sense (seeing as he was tiny), but also mentally. Being all mature... it was a trait he admired in the older members around him, but he didn't know how he would reach it. In short, the nurse was scared of growing up. Scared of losing his sense of self due to the simple passing of time.
Besides all those fears, wasn't it time for him to take on his full name? Not many animals followed traditional naming much anymore, but he had heard enough about it. At 12 months, the full name was usually taken. He wanted to do it right, following what his father most likely did with his name. The nurse paced back and forth, before finally stopping in place. "Um... I'm g-going to g-go by Glitterglitch n-now!" he called out. There, he did it. He took that first step forward towards the inevitability of growing up.

All the Ruin members that had been captured had Glitterglitch worrying relentlessly. He constantly check the borders, hoping to find one of them returning from the clan holding them hostage. Alongside that, he always made sure to have his supply of first aid herbs with him, just in case there were any injuries that needed to be taken care of fast. Most of the time, his searches were fruitless. Today, though, he knew he finally found someone when he heard the voice of Retrobloom.
Although he wasn't one of the two names listed, Glitterglitch still hustled over. "A-Are you injured at all?" he asked, tossing down his satchel of herbs. From what he could tell from a quick look over, Retrobloom didn't seem to have any open injuries. Just some scarring from already closed wounds. Still, though, he asked, just in case he missed something.
-
Glitterglitch very much was not one who worshipped the Red God, yet he still found himself walking over at Redvelvet's call. Even if he didn't really hold the same beliefs as much of the clan, he still wanted to show his support for their religion. This was also an Easter ceremony, which urged Glitterglitch further to participate in. This would be the first time he would be able to indulge in Easter activities, so he wanted to join in all he could.
"I can h-help stop bl-bleeding and keep the cuts cl-clean," the boy softly offered to Jace. Glitterglitch didn't really like the idea of blood letting, afraid that disease and infection may occur. If Jace would let him watch over, he'd definitely feel a little bit better about the whole thing.
-
Like Siej, Glitterglitch had a dislike for the Blood Nile. The stories about the river made him uncomfortable, and kind of scared. Apparently, sometimes Ruiners would drain the blood of their kills into its waters. This made Glitterglitch scared that there might be the decayed bodies of those kills floating around at the bottom. Ugh, the thought made him shiver.
Glitterglitch never expected to see something related to life coming out of the river. When he saw the eggs, he was just as confused as Jace and Siej. He carefully sniffed one of them, almost too afraid to touch them. "Wh-What?" he muttered with a frown. With a careful paw, he rolled the egg towards him. As if expecting it to break, he jumped back, but nothing happened. Huh.
-
Oh, Glitterglitch wished he had a cool power like that! All he had was telepathy, and he was terrible at controlling it. It would activate on its own, leaving him tuning in on other's thoughts without their permission. He hated the power, feeling so invasive. Now, if he had a power like ice elemental... that would be so much better. Ah, if he was able to control it, that was. The last thing he wanted was for it to act up the way his telepathy did.
The nurse watched Teresa with eyes widened in awe. That was amazing! When she was done, he began to move in to talk to her. "Th-that was so c-c-cool!" he exclaimed when he reached the edge of the ice rink. He had yet to step on it, knowing that the moment he did, he would go sliding everywhere. He was already clumsy enough on the ground, let alone the slick layer of ice.

Glitterglitch could understand cleaning when stressed out. It was like something that they could actually control when the world seemed to be spiraling around them. Sometimes, when upset, Glitterglitch would tidy up the herb collection in the physicians pyramid. Usually that would get his mind off things long enough to calm down. When he saw Alaksiej cleaning up, he was easily able to recognize that aura of stress cleaning that he sometimes felt himself.
"Wh-What's wrong?" Glitterglitch asked after he walked on over to the brooding hellhound. If it were anyone else storming about, Glitterglitch probably would've avoided them. He didn't like confrontation. But this was Alaksiej, someone that Glitterglitch was close to and cared about. He wanted to know what was wrong, and if he could do anything to help. And if Siej snapped at him, then he would just have to deal with it.
-
It was no secret that Glitterglitch wasn't a fan of fights. He was truly a pacifist at heart, hating to cause harm on anyone else. That was unfortunate for him, living in one of the more brutal clans of all of Agrelos. When he heard Cardinaldirection's call for a spar, Glitterglitch flinched slightly. Ah, he didn't understand spars. Fighting, for fun? Must be for training, he supposed, but it didn't stop him from disliking it.
The only reason he made his way over was out of slight worry. Even though it was a friendly match, he knew that injuries could very much be a potential outcome. "B-Be careful," he softly meowed, sitting down to watch.
