Cory had finally gotten away from the raid, various burn marks scouring his body along with a deep knife wound in his underbelly. It was still bleeding, albeit not as profusely before, and it ached horrendously. Trudging forward to his two Menders, he would force upon a light smile and motion down to the gaping wound. “Please tell me you can do something about this?” He asked the duo, light amounts of pain tracing behind his voice.

Here came the Warden next, mainly at the words of Diego. His body shifted its weight, pushing itself forward with an inquisitive eye. Then, he would move closer to try and help, glancing amongst the clanmates who waited idly. “Diego, be careful,” he forewarned, shifting closer as he glanced amongst the baby dragon. How had she even managed to do this to herself? Where was Viper in this mess? He knew that the former had been hurt, but still!

    [ low muse, sorry ]
    A father.

That was something Cory had lacked for a majority of his life. It was something that brought great anguish his way to even reconsider, after all, he had been trying to avoid this fact for a very long time. Maybe that was why he looked to Ace with such disdain when he had originally reappeared. Maybe that was why he relentlessly attempted to harm him, no matter how deep his roots and attempt at becoming a true family extended. Cory just...simply lacked the ability to care or want a father.

But Cicero getting one? Well, that was lovely.

The Warden had listened to the commotion from nearby, smiling at the tender scene before making his move. He allowed his harsh footsteps to collapse into the orange, dusty earth below as he stood nearby. “Hello, who’s this Cicero?” He asked in a casual tone.

Following Eurydice would be Cory, this time in the form of a black and white dog. His eyes trailed back and forth to the other players, and a permanent smile etched into his face. “What is what?” He asked his daughter, moving over to her first with a generous grin on his maw.

Cory had been worried sick about Pietro, his pacing had become never ending. As such, he had begun to helicopter over the children remaining in camp. Especially Olympia, since she was still healing from her wounds. It drove him to the border with her, knife wound in his underbelly straining to heal as he moved about. “Oli, where are you-

    Then, he saw them.

Tensions rose in his body as he attempted to nudge Olympia further away from the duo, eyes settling on them with uncertainty. Why did they bring Pietro back? And...unharmed? He was so lost, but eternally grateful as he tried to force on a calm demeanor. The Warden did this well, but only for his son’s sake. “I- how did he get there?” He asked with worry in his tone.

Cory comes next, attempting to nudge the little dragon gently with a smile. Then, he turned to Penny. A little ball of fluff and sunshine, someone Cory had grown fond over. His gaze trailed over the female and a generous smile branched our upon his features. A pool party? That was different, but Cory loved the aspect of it. Sitting down silently to accompany the dragon child, he awaited to see what was to come.

    Ah pets.

Cory hadn’t got to experience a pet before. Growing up, he saw no companionship in one he could not converse with. Now, however, he regretted that decision. He had seen the beauty in then when he met Pyrrhic. The boy quite enjoyed the little bird that fluttered alongside him. Yes, they had been a picture of beauty to him. It was the silent nights in the prison where he missed the flighted creature, the soft chirps to stir Pyrrhic from his sleep on rare occasions.

But now..maybe things would be okay.

As he stood beside Olympia, his gaze settled on her bird. A soft grin mesmerized his face, and then he leaned to look at the bird closer. “What about Petri?

Cory has noticed the prison changed. In fact, it wasn’t just the prison. The Exiles as a whole had changed, and that was partly his fault. After seeing how it felt to be hated for so long, and seeing that battle and death was inevitable, he had changed a lot. Cory had decided to give people a shot at receiving his kindness, he had tried to get the Exiles connections because it seemed to be better to have them on their side rather than against. The Ruins were going to tear them apart of his didn't, Cory had no choice when there were so many babies here.

Hopefully, Abathur didn’t judge him for that.

He heard the coo of the spider, head peeking up from his place in the cell. Luckily, the children and his partners were out for now. He had been simply watering plants and cleaning up the mess left by his crew of children when the spider arrived. Setting down his water, he opened the door and smiled, crouching his head down to look at him. “Yes? Come in,” he tells his former mentor, motioning to him.

    Damn it Cessna.

A soft grumble passed the wyvern’s lips as he passes Abathur and turns to look down upon Valentino’s child. “Stop. You’re getting glass everywhere!” he commanded, attempting to swipe any remaining bottles away with his wing. Then, he would roll his eyes and look up to the sky with frustration. “What’s wrong?” He asked at last, trying to understand the girl.

    Oh fuck no.

Cory heard the commotion from a nearby room, drawing him out of the depths as he allowed his lips to pull back in a snarl. Glancing to his daughter, he motioned for her to get behind him, and then eyeing Cessna now, he would shake his head. “I don’t give a fuck how you treat outsiders, but if you keep treating clanmate’s like this I’ll beat the fucking sense into you myself,” he growled in her face, glancing briefly to Cicero with soft eyes. Then, he would stand up fully and take another glance about the prison, shaking his head.

Big Valentino , if you don’t come out here and get your kid, I’m gonna punish her publicly,” he demanded of the male, eyes narrowed into slits.

Cory found his way here rather quickly, his eyes trailing to a group of Veilers with ease. He’s on his guard, but trying to not show any hostility. Glancing over to Riptide, he cocks a metaphorical brow. “Why are you on my lands?” he asks. It’s evident that he had heard them, but he’s pushing to know why they intend on showing any kindness to the Exiles. After all, everyone avoided them unless they wanted something. Whether it was a fight or something more.

    [ IM SORRY AAA ]

His head cocks to Olympia with a stern eye. Then, he moves down to her level and lets out a low growl. “Breaking bottles will hurt clanmates. Torturing and killing enemies won’t. Lose the attitude before I get Ren,” he snapped at her, frustrated that his disgusted was becoming so argumentative. He wished she would just let the Exiles be who they were meant to be. However, he supposed many people opposed this way of life.

Another egg. This one cracks him in the side as he strains to remain standing, eyes narrowed into slits. His face is stone cold as he stands all the way up, wiping the grimy, foul smelling egg off. Then, he shakes his head at Demeter, glancing around the battlefield for more targets, granted that Sangria and Junebug don’t continue fighting.

The warden was unfortunately found very easily by the preying creature. He had been sitting nearby, investigating the health of some of the outer plants. This was a task he partook in often, considering it was the only instance of beauty in their grimy prison. As such, he didn’t even notice the looming danger.

He turns to Abathur with a gentle smile on his face, listening to him speak. Cory always took a moment to process the arachnid’s speech patterns. His home, being referred to as an office, was very spacious, and reasonably so. His entire family slept and lived in this room together, which explained the persistent cleaning he was partaking in. While he would chat, asking what he had missed, Cory sat with thought in his eyes. “Well, I missed a few years between just after Rick died and the reign of the man before me. I was stuck in limbo for years and came back to this man named Barghest leading. It seemed we held similar values on a lot of things, so what you see now is basically how things were when I arrived. I was told Earth just..ceased to exist one day. Humans were gone. Almost all traces of human life were gone.

Light banter, something Cory hadn’t heard very often lately. Even moreso, seeing a leopard was very different from the usual. He saw a lot of domestics, canines, and creatures of the unknown. However, he couldn’t resist the gentle smile that crossed his lips when he saw Liberty’s new form. She looked beautiful in every way, and while he wanted to compliment her in such ways, he refrained ultimately. The male didn’t want to come across as being overly flirty, so he would bite his tongue as he approached and offered her a generous smile. “I haven’t seen a leopard in a while...” he uttered after hearing the other’s remarks. He couldn’t resist the soft chuckle that he uttered at Helix’s joke.

    Paper planes!

The eager look that befell him couldn’t be quelled as he approached. His eyes trailed amongst the table and flow of the creations, not quite being small enough to partake. However, it wouldn’t hurt for him to observe with them, now would it? His lips pursed into a grin and he shifted in his seat, sitting and staring amongst all that was created.

Another capture? It seemed Cessna was being much more successful at gathering captives than he. While this wasn’t something to get jealous over, Cory couldn’t lie that he had been very surprised. Choosing to come sit by Olympia, his head would turn in response to her acknowledgment of the stranger. “You know them?” He says to her with a bit of surprise.
