Bellona made her way over, tail calmly flicking side to side. The golden retriever was someone she hadn’t met yet. She seemed nice, Lola was eager to meet her. “Could I have one?” She asked, flicking an ear. “My name is Lola, by the way. Bellona Moune.” She introduced.

Eyes flickered over towards a small bundle of fur. The young Warlord wondered if this kitten’s parents warned her to stay away from Bellona. She truly hoped not. While they currently had their differences, she wanted to know her best friend’s children. Well, as best as they could be after what happened. Regardless, she hadn’t seen a little one in a long time. “Hello, Wintrykit.” She greets softly, careful not to startle her. “Roses are for decoration, right?” She grins to Satine.

It wasn't hard to notice his discomfort. It was clear as day as she looked over him with grassy green oculars. She blinked, allowing her gaze to trace over his strong features. He was melting - which was foreign. Elian was always one to keep tight and stern even in the toughest of situations. But something was troubling him. It was her.

Somehow she was able to share her emotions with his. Their souls intertwined, and for a moment, during the life-threatening struggle she could feel what was in his heart.

Bellona flicked her pointed ears with a shake of her head. "I'm fine." She answered quickly, dismissively. While she did notice that he was concerned for her well-being for once, there were more pressing matters at hand. "I don't have that power." She responded, gaze lowering to his paws. "I would know.. I think.. it's something else." She decided. Did she want it to be what she thought it was? The Warlord had heard many stories about it. A few members of distant clans had it. Even the german shepherd that she had captured from the Thunderlands. His mate came looking for him because of the torture he felt from him. The possibility of that scenario happening to her and Elian made her ears grow hot.

"We have a bond." The calico spoke gently, gaze rising to meet his.

The lioness made sure to be quick. Her mentor taught her never to leave her scent in a territory that wasn't her own. Out of habit, she made sure to cover up all traces of herself after she finished there. It was fine, she had no ill intentions on this foreign territory. Besides, Billie managed to crack through Bellona's stubborn exterior. Wind Haven was a calm territory; a place that valued agriculture and peace, as far as she knew. They had no quarrels with the Ruins. Therefore, the lioness would try her best to be cordial. It was the home of her best friend's children, after all. Even though the two had a verbal disagreement a few days prior, she still loved her friend. That wouldn't change.

Bellona wanted to do this the moment she found out Billie was expecting. A basket lied on the boarder of the Haven. Within it was a book, a certain and precious book to the Warlord, covered by a small blanket. It was a picture book. Long ago, Wilhelmina had given her this book. She wanted to share it with her kids, but it didn't look like that was an option anymore for a few different reasons. Still, Bellona didn't want these kiddos to miss out on fun bedtime stories. They deserved to have a good childhood, even if they didn't live in the Ruins, and even if they didn't get to know her.

So, there the basket lied. Marked as a gift for Billie and her children on a small note.

Yowls of pain and desperation shook her from her idle standing. The lioness quickly rushed over to find her beloved mentor lying on the ground. Her eyes widen, blood starts pumping, heart starts worrying. Someone announced that the Queen ingested poison, something the female could hardly believe. Nadine? Poisoned? She bit her tongue and took a few steps back to give them all room. She didn't want to crowd and make things more difficult. Then Ace begins yelling out what sounds like accusations. Bellona's gaze flicked over to the male.

"Ace- what are you talking about?" She asks quickly, eyes narrowing to slits.

A lot of thinks had been on Bellona's mind. She tried not to let it interfere with her professional life, but unfortunately, it seemed to be doing just that. The struggle with Elian was exhausting. She wasn't able to get him to understand her. Along with that, she made her troubles worse by manipulating Jace into temporary relief. Of course she loved the male, but it didn't compare with Elian. Top it all of with losing your best and closest friend. Yep, she needed to work this off. A patrol with her mentor was just what she needed.

Her eyes wondered from her paws to the Queen. She looked over the slim serval's form, noticing her beauty. Nadine was pretty, there was no doubt. But she had never seen her in this light before. Lola wouldn't find her emotionally endearing. Still, watching her with that graceful walk was intoxicating. The lioness closed her eyes and continued walking. Emerging into adulthood was confusing. She didn't know where she was going - she didn't know what she liked. Lola could only allow herself to keep going. Allow life to figure itself out. The girl, however, knew that she wouldn't mind the possibility of being with a female in the future. For now, she was dead set on Elian. Lola didn't know if she'd ever be over him.

She was snapped out of her thoughts by Nadine's weakened voice. There was slight concern written over her tired features as she looked her over. "I-.. Yeah. Nadine, can I for advice?" She mewed softly, eyes trailing the horizon ahead.

Bellona knew that Rentarou would need help with his weekly task. He couldn't see, after all. She was more than willing to assist the sweetheart with his patrol. In fact, she really wanted to get out of camp and focus on a duty. It was what she needed. The lioness rolled her sore shoulders with a sigh. "I'd like to go with you, Ren." She mewed softly. It would be nice to spend some time with him, anyway. He was a pleasant individual to be around.

The young female had always wanted him to understand how she felt. She begged for it. Now that it was here, she was unprepared. Lola nearly gave up on it - nearly continued on as a loner. But now he was staring at her with those handsome amber eyes. He was so stunning. She was sure of it. Bellona was in love with Elian. She was in love with him despite everything. She didn’t know why. Some days she wished her heart hadn’t chose him. Lola would’ve kept her friendship with Billie.

But they were here now. He understood. While he did understand her now, she didn’t know if it was right to advance. He might not reciprocate. Perhaps he didn’t want to share something with her. She pushed her worried thoughts away. “I’m...” Bellona sighed. Her gaze lowered to the cold, damp sand. Was she really alright? The thin she-cat approached the male, embracing him as she placed her head against his neck. “I’m just glad you’re safe.” She admitted softly, staring at the horizon through his thick fur.

She could feel his uncertainty. It was clear as day as she stood there, pressed against the Warlord in the pouring rain. Bellona wanted to be his comfort. She wanted to be his peace in this cruel world. But now, in this moment as they shared a bond, it didn't feel right.

This was what she wanted for so long. She wanted to share his closeness and warmth. Lola wanted to feel him with her and be happy. She wanted him to be happy. In the back of her head, she didn't think this was right. For now, however, she'd temporarily push those thoughts away. So selfishly, she wanted to enjoy this moment with the tom she loved. The young calico closed her eyes in content.

The rain soaking their pelts became nonexistent. The adrenaline racing through her veins stilled. The world stopped turning as Elian reciprocated her embrace. She stood there, wrapped in his arms. Lola was nearly moved to tears, but fought fiercely against them. Being with him like this made her heart swell. She didn't want to be anywhere else. Bellona wanted to be with him always.

Then suddenly, his maw connected with hers in a gentle kiss. At first her eyes widened to two full moons. Slowly, after taking in what he had just done, her eye lids fluttered shut. Lola returned his soft kiss.

She took a breath and looked into his eyes. "Elian... I love you." She confessed. "But.. I think- I think you're just feeling what I feel. I want to wait for you to love me truly." The she-cat said quietly, closing her eyes. It broke her heart so say this, but it was for him. She wanted him to be sure. "I'll wait. I can wait forever, for you."

Bellona remembered roaming through the forest aimlessly. She was just a small serval at the time. With no memories of herself, or her true home, the young serval was empty. She couldn't remember her own mother. A night alone in uncharted territory gave her her memories. All at once the memories, the feeling, of her dearest mother and father came rushing back. She could finally remember Acantha's fierce strength. She could remember her close siblings. She remembered it all. While Bellona was home again, she was without her family. Family was what mattered most, after all.

As the young lioness approached this stranger, feelings of wholeness entered her chest. There wasn't an empty space in there anymore. It was being filled at each step towards Toni Darling. The feeling was so, so very foreign. The love of a family member made her feel overwhelmed. There was nothing in the world like this. She was truly, and finally, home.

It was nice to see Jace reunited with his lover, too. She always wanted the best for him. Now Jace could have his chance with Toni again. A gentle smile formed across her maw. She blinked slowly, looking the ivory lioness over. They shared a mother. Acantha Darling. "Toni." She called. "I'm.. I'm so glad you're here." The Warlord said with a warm grin.

Morphineblast just had the best tasks, didn't he? Give a blind member a task to patrol the enemy boarders. Maybe tell a giant, capable lion to decorate camp. She grumbled silently. No matter, she supposed it would be something to pass the time. Bellona approached the male, twitching her ears. "How about some skulls and bones." She suggested with a roll of her sore shoulders. Seemed practical and fitting, no?

The hatred for Morphineblast burned deep within her chest. Frankly, she wished the male was dead. He was better off away from their ranks. He was better off away from Wilhelmina. Spewing such vulgar and disgusting trash like that out loud, in front of his own children, made her sick to her stomach. The way he tortured this child was disgusting as well. A low growl ripped through her throat as she watched the tom continue this madness. Her hateful gaze swayed over to the King. Why wasn't Jace doing anything?! He allowed this shameful circus to continue. Morphineblast was talking about fucking everyone in this kid's family. He had a mate - and he was threatening to rape this child's family. Bellona was utterly disgusted.

An overwhelming amount of sympathy washed over her as she looked over to Commie and Tobi. Lola approached them carefully, careful not to startle them any more. "I'll take you away from here, little ones. Follow me." She mewed softly to them. The lioness began to make a slow pace towards another part of the territory, waiting for them to follow along.

Truly, it broke her heart. Even if her friend chose Morphineblast as a mate, she wanted her to have a happy family. As days came and went she could clearly see that that wasn't going to be the case. Each day brought a new tragedy for the new family. It was just a matter of time before it fell apart. It seemed like that day was arriving more quickly than she thought as she watched Communionkit ready himself for something. Something that appeared akin to leaving.

As a Warlord she was obligated to persuade him to stay. This was his birthplace, just as she had told Billie. The same conversation ran through her mind. You can't bring them there - this is their home! That dirty pro-clan! Bellona wished she had seen how wrong she was. The Ruins, no matter how loyal she was to it, was no place for growing and impressionable children. It was for fearless and merciless warriors. If her dearest friend's son wanted to leave, then she would not hold him back. Lola blinked, making her way over with a sorrowful look. "Hello, Com." She greeted softly to the three month old.

Her gaze flicked over towards Lachesis. Stealing? Bellona blinked and returned her attention back to the kitten. Perhaps the Ruins had gotten to him more than she had thought. Nonetheless, she still wanted to him help. "Do you need help with anything?" She asked with a gentle tone that was reserved for Billie's kittens. If he confessed his intentions, then she'd do anything she could to help. Hell, she'd even give him a ride to wherever he wanted to go.

yo yo here is bellona. she's a year old. she's still figuring out how life works, etc etc. she struggles with morals, and is trying to figure out if she wants to be 'good' or 'evil'. i'd say she is currently chaotic neutral. anyways, she likes new friends so i'm looking out for a lot of those. she's got a big & hopeless crush on elian so that's crazy. and uuhhh i'll think of more to put here later.

"Sometime last night, Wilhelmina died of an unknown illness."

The lioness stared at the kitten in silence. There was only stillness, at first. Her head couldn't register the message. It took a few minutes for the news to sink in. Much like her clanmates, the female was left in bitter disbelief. This couldn't be true - how could it be true?! Wilhelmina couldn't die. Poison injected into her heart. It was so painful she could hardly stand. She shook her head. Her chin lowered, eyes closed. A familiar wetness stung at her eyes. Willy was her best friend. She trusted her more than anyone. Willy was family. Willy was her only family. Their last interaction was still fresh on her mind. That probably hurt the most. She and Lottie were in a heated argument over Elian's fate in the Ruins. Their friendship was left in shambles afterwards. This was it... They didn't have the chance to make amends. Lottie couldn't apologize for hurting Wilhelmina so deeply. She bit her tongue, the taste of copper melted into her mouth.

Tearful eyes opened to see the others around her, gathered around Ninthkit. They were all distraught, all in disbelief. The sight of Billie's children broke her heart. She wanted so desperately to comfort them. She wanted to honor her friend, and take care of her children when she couldn't. Lottie didn't know if that was possible for a few different reasons. The lioness looked away, still pained. Her gaze momentarily flickered over to Elian. She looked over him, feeling betrayal as she noticed his faint grin. Lottie fought for him when no one else would. She was his protection - his shield against all the hateful members of the clan. In this moment, however, her shield dropped. Her everlasting love for the tom came to a temporary halt. She always knew he was against and hateful towards his sister. Seeing him take pleasure in her death disgusted her. Lottie felt oily tears slip from her eyes and roll down her cheeks.

The lioness did her best to put that image away for now. She had to forget it to continue on. She approached the kittens, looking down on them with a look of sympathy and pain. "If.. If you ever need me.. just let me know, alright? Please. I am here for you, I promise." She said calmly, despite her tears. Lottie would love Billie's children. She swore it.

She peered through the cold rain as it blurred her vision. First he said her name, then the words that followed nearly took her out. Bellona's heart began racing. She had to run his words through her head again to see if she heard right. The she-cat stood there, standing in the rain, trying to gather herself calmly. Did Elian.. love her?

She was, admittedly and surprisingly, scared. For as long as she could remember, she wanted this. She wanted this more than anything and now that it was here she was utterly afraid. She was afraid of where to go now. Lola did know, however, that she would take on whatever happened with him at her side. She had him now. Lola could take on anything with him. A gentle and genuine grin pulled to her maw. The female knew he didn't like crying. But she was struggling to hold it in. Tears stung at her eyes, though she was successful in holding it back. Bellona sniffled a bit, face still bright with her smile.

"Of course." She said, using all her will power to keep her voice strong.

The two Warlord walked side by side, making their way back to camp. Although their mission had been unsuccessful, she couldn't care less. The only thing on her mind was him. Bellona loved him, and Elian loved her. That would be all she ever needed.

It didn't take them long to arrive at his den. She was ready to part ways with him, but kept herself close to him. He wanted her to be with him. There was no longer a need to hurry away before his anger boiled over. As the two were finally shielded from the chilly rain, she realized how cold she was. Lola exhaled slowly, approaching the tom. She gave his cheeks a few licks before nuzzling against him. "Are you.. cold?" She asked quietly. The pitter patter of the rain was hardly audible. All she could hear was their heart beats. It was quite the bold move to be this physical with him, but it felt.. right. Being with him felt right.
