Juba walked into the infirmary, his tail swishing lightly behind him. He had left his things at his cabin, which included his bag, feathers, ink, and his notebook. He wouldn't need them today. Stress, he felt stress upon him, creeping up his back like a vermin. His ear twitched with anticipation.

As he walked in he looked around for his mentor, Lemon, before trotting over. He sat down in front of him, and nodded his head in a greeting. Juba felt like his throat was dry. He had no idea if he was ready for any sort of assessment. Lemon had, of course, given him some instruction, not as much as he had hoped for but he had also gotten some wisdom from the late Wilhelmina. Then, there was also his studies he had been doing alone. As long as the books were accurate and I have read enough I should be fine, right? Of course, I'm not gonna get everything I'm not perfect... He breathed through his nose. If I don't make it, it won't be a big deal, I'm not old yet, I have time. What he was thinking was true, but sometimes he felt like time was zipping by, and who knows, one day he may be young, and the next he may be on his death bed. Who knows what will happen so it's better to do what you need to do while young, or maybe Juba's is just over thinking from his nervousness.

Juba nodded to Cassiopeia. Her suggestions her valid. He was thinking for a second. "Alright, one for the birch grove," he said to himself as he nodded to the one in front of Lemon. "That one can go to the grove..." His face was still a bit strained. "Hmmm, one can go to the Garden of Eden... no two, if I only send one I will have to restock it probably within the week..." he mumbled, thinking about all the kits running around... everywhere... Two of the kits around his head landed upon the ground softly, making a little pile. Two more were above his head, and a few extras were in front of him currently. I'll probably have to take these out to the borders first, then take those two to the Garden of Eden... His face was much less strained as two was much more in his comfort zone than 5, but he would probably carry around all that he could around his head, it was also more noticeable, which he thought was good, since it meant more free help.

Juba eyes widened a bit. He was staying quiet for the most part, sort of staying out of it, as he was already getting confused with everything. However, it seemed like Cassiopeia had voted him up to show this newcomer around. He looked at the leader, almost wanting to complain but kept his opinions to himself. It was part of the job, wasn't it? He was a healer so he had to be able to get along with other to a degree, in his opinion, and he was a guardian so talking to others was a thing. "Of course," he said with a dip of his head. He then turned towards S. He moved his head, as if he was telling her to come. "Come along," he said to her. "The camp is this way," his tail moving to point in a direction that he had begun to walk towards.

Juba could hear a loud commotion and hurried over. As he heard the sounds of the wolves he didn't just hurry but ran, his long legs propelling him forwards. He didn't have any fighting experience, couldn't be of any help in a battle really, but he was a medic in training. He could help in other ways. Get others to safety, do what he could with injuries.

As he arrived he saw Lemon facing off against some of the wolves, and two children, who he believed were Lemon's and Cass's, but he could be wrong, as he didn't pay much attention to the kids around Wind Haven. He looked at Lemon, thought, truly thought about helping him, before rushing towards the children. He believed Lemon would be okay on his own, at least for a little while, but the children couldn't do much, and they needed to get to safety. He hurried over to them, who were at the rocks. "Listen, you and your brother need to get to safety." As he spoke he looked at the injured one. He had no idea what was wrong, but he could clearly see the bite marks where blood was coming from.

"Kid, listen, we need to get you two out of here. We will probably need to carry your brother, and I don't know what that could cause to his injuries, as I don't know exactly what is injured, besides for the two bites." He let out a shaky breath before continuing his mini quick, talking fast, speech. "I can carry him, but I can't carry both of you. I can carry him on my back, if you can help me get him up." Juba didn't trust himself to carry the kid with his telekinesis. He hadn't ever carried someone like that, but his back, that was doable. As long as he wasn't bolting into a run or anything he could do it.

He looked at the kid and lowered himself to the ground, hopefully his idea was good, if not he would have to try his best to defend the young ones, as he was sure the wolves would eventually notice them, or maybe smell their fear, or the blood of the injured one. He looked around, he could see the wolves teeth, their strong bodies, how they turned, any moment could come at him. He as only going to go unnoticable for so long, at the kit can't carry their brother themselves away from this, somewhere safer. This needs to hurry up, especially since I'm much larger than young kits, the wolves, the many of them, could spot me..

Juba could feel the weight of Serpens upon his back. Not an extremely heavy weight, but a weight more than enough. He slowly stood, not wanting to jostle the young one around too much. As he turned his head slightly, he saw S, a newcomer within Wind Haven. Someone Juba didn't care for too much, someone he felt was a bit... stalker-ish from the first impression, but of course it was only the first impression, and opinions were bound to change. He knew now was the chance to go, he felt, no knew, wolves had strong noses, and if the young one released too much blood they would surely smell it. The eyes of the wolves felt as if they glowed to him, like a light shining.

"It'll be alright little one. Your dad will be fine, don't underestimate him," Juba said in hopes that the young one would understand, or even hear him in general. Juba, with his telekinesis, could defend off some attacks from the wolves if he had to. Throwing rocks was a thing he could do, he probably could throw a dagger or small knife if he actually had one. He cleared his thoughts of this, instead using his telekinesis to gently push Eridanus forwards. They would probably need a bit of a head start, as they were smaller.

Juba turned and hopefully was able to begin to move away from the scene without any wolves noticing. Juba did try to move very slow, as he didn't want to draw any notice from the wolves onto him and the two kits.

Juba noticed as the night went on there seemed to be others deciding to go... ghost hunting? He had no idea what was going on and felt like he had missed something very important while studying in his cabin for so long. Even though he wasn't sure what was going on he followed Ninja and the small child, the one with the attitude if he was correct. Juba himself didn't believe in ghosts, spirits, or really any sort of afterlife, but that was just him and he didn't care what others believed as who knew what was or was not true, as he surely didn't.

Juba felt fear come over him, and it wasn't from the wolves. All he could think about was if he failed, Cassiopeia putting his gorgeous, mutated head on a stick. He attempted to grab Eridanus in his jaws. He was hoping to now go fast so he wouldn't draw any attention but he rather go fast than face his leaders wrath. Personally, he didn't trust himself carrying even 1 kit, much less 2. However, if it meant Cassiopeia didn't put his head on a stick, he was gonna carry two like his life depended on it.

After he had hopefully grabbed Eridanus in his jaws, he hurried off, his long legs stretching forwards as fast as he could. Running until he could no longer hear the fighting, then a bit more to be safe. From here he figured he should go to the infirmary so he headed in that general direction, at a still fast pace.

Juba, almost three years of age, had realized something he had never realized before. Maybe it was his time around other animals, or maybe it was something he used to know that just popped back into his brain, but his pee smells awfully weird. More that weird, it doesn't even smell like pee! With his time in Wind Haven he has smelled many different things, mostly on accident, and have realized a lot of stuff that could potentially be smelled around here, for some odd reason, smelled like his pee. And he knew he wasn't peeing in this weird places, he was strange but not strange enough to pee in random places.

This maned wolf was now on a mission. He was going to find out what bothered him so much about the smell, and maybe some of the members of Wind Haven would be able to help him out here. He felt like it sort of smelled like maybe skunk? but he wasn't all that sure. He knew though, for a fact, he has smelled it around Wind Haven in areas he KNEW he hadn't peed in, and he couldn't recall seeing any other maned wolves in Wind Haven recently.

//so it is said that maned wolf pee has a smell akin to hops, cannabis/weed, and i have even heard marijuana, though the first two are much more common~ and this is pretty much just for fun and isn't really too serious as more public threads need to go out to sea!

Juba breathed in a deep breath before looking at the first plant. The stem was a redish tone with many leaves and dark, purple-blue-ish berries. He thought for a minute or two, as he really wanted to get it right. "I think its... Sambucus," he stated slowly, as if he was trying to draw the words in his mind.

The next herb before him had a robust stem, with yellow flowers. Yellow as in, slightly lighter than sunflower yellow. Juba could only think of a small number of yellow medicinal flowers, and decided to go with the one he felt.. "That one is Coltsfoot," he said much more sure this time. If it wasn't, he had no idea what it could even possible be. "So... I believe it has a few different uses. Coughing, congestion, r-respiratory, and colds are a few," he said with thought. It took him a second to even say respiratory as it wasn't a word he really ever used. Honestly, he didn't even know what it was until he did some very intense readings.

Next Juba had to explain what Celandine looked like and its main usage. "W-well, Celandine had long green stems with like, these dark green, heart shaped leaves but not a heart if you get my meaning and the leaves have these divets in them. And they have these small yellow flowers, maybe eight or ten-ish petals on them. Um... also they are used for... well the juice from it can be used to help with... eye damage from like smoke or injuries on the eye. And... I don't think it has any other use..." This was a long statement compared to the others. Juba knew of Celandine sure, he knew what it looked like to a degree as he had drawn it before, but he wasn't completely sure on its medical uses. He was pretty sure it could be used with the eyes, but he had no idea if it could be used elsewhere. If it could, whoops cause he didn't know, but that just means he would know now.

Juba was taking a walk by the cabins, heading to his to be exact to do some plant sketches before all the plants drop dead. As he was walking by he stopped, slowly turned his head and his jaw dropped. There was his mentor, Lemon, with a pumpkin on his head. Juba just blinked and stared, then asked a very important question. "Do you realize that there is an... um... pumpkin... over your head?"

Juba turned from his sniffing and looked towards the two felines that had come to either question him or seemingly mock him. He didn't mind what they said, as all he was trying to figure out why the smell reminded him of something that he knew, but didn't at the same time. It was as if the word was on the tip of his tongue, yet nothing was actually there in his mind.

The first to make a comment was young Cherrykit. He couldn't remember if he had ever spoken to her before, but who in Wind Haven didn't know who she was. She seemed to have a reputation of having a bit of a mouth on her, and from her comment he could easily agree. "I don't have any love letters as I don't have any romantic partners currently," he stated very seriously.

Cassiopeia, the leader of Wind Haven no less, seemly didn't understand what he was doing. Juba, however, thought it was quite obvious. He spoke to both of them here, answering their questions of what he was bloody doing. "I'm trying to figure out this scent. It's urine, mine to be exact. It has this scent that remind me of something and its been bothering me. Sooo... I am going to figure it out so it can stop bothering me."

Juba thought over how to explain without giving a whole paragraph of an explanation. It was like he was trying to settle upon the right words. After a while he finally settled for, "For ingested poison, it would be best to get the patient to expel the poison. However, depending on the poison it may be incurable, so depending on the poison would be how I would try to cure it," he said, trying to give a more simple and quick answer. Juba didn't go for any examples of what could be used, just what he should do, and that was try to get the poison out of the victim. He figured it might be best to probably have them puke it up, but he wasn't positive on that. He never did care much for poisons, but now that he thinks about it, it might be good to do a bit more research.

Juba thought about the burns for a minute, as there were a few different things he could do. With just the knowledge that it would be some sort of burns he figured an answer for minor burns would be to... not it, and went for something else instead. "Hmmm... I would... prefer to use... a chickweed and comfrey root poultice, but if I couldn't... I would go for a marigold poultice as I would want to try to stop infection and soothe the area."

Now, for sore throat Juba knew what to do, in theory. He had never done it before, but he didn't think it would be that hard. "So... for a sore throat, I would mix a few herbs together to make a syrup, like anise, ground cinnamon, fennel, ginger root, and valerian, but it would also depend on if there was anything else I wanted to mixture to cause." The main reason why Juba said that it would depend was from his knowledge of valerian, and that it is also a sedative, so it would make the patient sleepy.

Juba was hurrying after his mentor, his bag of things bouncing against his side. As he got there he was already out of breath, but he knew there was going to be some sort of work to be done. He wasn't sure what he needed to do, as he didn't want to overcrowd Lemon's work space. Instead he was standing off to the side, looking around nervously before really approaching them. I assume we are going to have to move them... but how? "Um... what would you like me to do?" he asked lowly. He was more nervous about doing something he wasn't supposed to do and just getting in the way.

Juba, a local healer in training and guardian, was talking a walk in the fields. When he wasn't studying plants, reading, or writing he often took walks. Recently he had been quite busy with this and that, studying here and there, etc. But he was getting back into the groove of talking to people, which was quite an important skill as a healer. As he was walking he noticed a batch of kits. Juba himself, being a bit curious, decided to walk up to the kits. "Hello there," he said with a friendly smile. "I'm Juba. Those are some pretty flowers you got there, you got some nice plans for em?" he asked curiously, trying to create some conversation.

Juba blinked, a curious expression on his face. "However, it doesn't smell like normal pee, I'm sure of it! The borders have a different scent and it's pee. I may be stupid for doing this, but at least someone can get some laughs, right?" he said as he went back to doing what he was doing, like the rightful dumb animal he was. To Juba, he didn't really understand what was so dumb about it, just that others saw it that way.

Juba was heading over to do this and to do that, mainly harvesting some herbs before they died back for the winter. His bag had some things in it, some plants and of course his book and quill with a small thing of ink. Juba wasn't the best at diagnosing illnesses. Symptoms could mean so many different things and he was always worried he would diagnose the wrong thing. He hurried over to the growing crowd around the older animal, Lucent. He didn't know the older woman quite that well, but he knew of her. She looked old, and that may be rude but it was the first thing that came to his mind. As he pushed through, not speaking, he looked her up and down, as if he was studying her. He knew she was in mourning and wondered if her health was decreasing because of that, but he couldn't be sure. She also looked much skinnier than he had remembered her being from their brief encounters. He also wondered if she had drank anything recently, and he was contemplating on whether he should try to take her to the infirmary or just bring her back inside her cabin... He felt like the cabin would be the better option, and if he needed anything he could run to get it, or send someone. He really wished someone was here to tell him what to do, as he wasn't sure. Maybe it was because he never really had any practice in action, only in theory.

Juba had wandered around today, collecting herbs that would die very soon, so he could put them into storage, and felt quite tired. He felt as if he had been walking all day and was ready just to lay down. He heard Cassiopeia was doing a questionnaire thingy, and he decided to hang around there. He was a guardian, so he was a high powered, so if anyone wanted to ask him questions they could, otherwise he would be laying down off to the side as he listened to the conversations.

Juba's past was filled with mystery, so relating to others could be quite hard at times. Sure, he could pretend, nod his head like he understood, but that didn't mean it was the truth. This day Juba was patrolling the borders by himself, taking a break from his usual herbal activities, as he would have to get used to doing other things anyways. Winter was coming, and that meant plants were going and he couldn't go with them, so he had to do other things. As he was walking the border he was Eldoris, a fellow Wind Havener, and someone else... someone he didn't recognize. He assumed it was a joiner, which he thought was great news. With all the 'new' kits running around they would surely need more adults, otherwise they would just be a clan of kits with an adult here or there.

As he arrived upon the group he glanced at Eldoris but didn't say anything to him. He looked at the newcomer and dipped his head to them. "Hello. I'm Juba, a guardian here," he said with a friendly smile.
