spirit was no healer, but he'd been a student for a short while and found the practice rather rewarding. enough so to try and pursue it some more. so, with the invite to be around all these other healers, he didn't dare pass up the opportunity. the inky fox bounded over to the group, "Zaoshang hao," he greets with a wave of his paw.

he bobbed his head, pivoting slightly to follow michael's movements. the statement was no surprising in the slightest, and he nodded his head in understanding. "you're healing up nicely, you'll be flying in no time," he offers up with a grin. spirit definitely didn't know as much athanasius did about the lion's condition, but his wandering was evidence enough to his progress. he watches the stare-down, feeling oddly like he was intruding upon something heavy. some small part of his mind told him to let it unfold and leave it to them, but spirit was never good at following social cues, and therefore returned his attention to michael. "hey, when you can fly again, think i can get a ride?" it's half a joke, half a real request. the flying boats were fun enough, but real flying seemed way cooler, in his humble opinion.

it seemed most joiners were drawn to the island by it's mystical quality; spirit sure had been. he'd needed a place to finally settle down once more, and what better place than a set of floating islands that had really fun boat rides? though, he couldn't necessarily say the same for kuraokami. the dragon didn't seem to be the kind to enjoy such trivial things. the fox bounded towards him, coming to a somewhat startled halt at his straight-to-the-point introduction. "oh, ah, well, then," he starts, batting at this ears as he stares the dragon up and down. "welcome to the isles! i'm spiritline." there's an easy smile on his maw, despite the intimidating form the other possesses.

spirit was good at reading situations, better than he liked to let on. he was content with seeming overly childish and simple and living life in the moment, but he did in fact, own at least five brain cells. he'd been wandering down the river, occasionally splashing a paw in it or hopping across stones, when he spotted gabriel. something told him to steer clear, perhaps just turn around and return to camp altogether. but, spirit wanted to get to know him. having met michael, spirit felt oddly caught in the middle of some drawn out soap opera that he had very little knowledge on. and there was only one way to solve that problem. "o captain my captain," he chirps in greeting, a sunny smile on his maw. "how's it going?"

being a prankster was in his nature . he'd always been one for pranks and jokes and generally not taking anything seriously , and recently he'd had more time on his hands . being the veil for such a brief amount of time and then mourning the loss of his brother for months on end had given him little room to really enjoy himself . now that he was in hyperia , he had the time he needed to plan out a somewhat decent prank . the fox had spent the day raking together all the fallen leaves into a large pile that he could easily hide in if he so chose to . but that pile wasn't for him , it was for the next unsuspecting clanmate to come along . spirit thanked his ancestors for the powers he'd been given in this life , and quickly went to work concealing the pile using shadows. luckily , he'd put it together under the shade of a now barren tree , so the slightly of-putting flicker the shadows gave off wasn't too noticeable . with a giggle , he scampered , with some difficulty , up the tree to perch on one of the branches , laying in wait for whoever would come by and step into his unseen leaf mountain .

"let's not allow actions of a group to dictate the reputation of an individual," the fox offers up with a tense smile. something about this situation reminded him of his past; meetings gone wrong and hope smashed. but maybe, just maybe, things would be different this time around. as long as people put their attitudes aside and focused on the humanity of the situation. spirit glanced around the gathered group before turning his attention back to scarlet. "i agree with johnny. unless someone is bold enough to shadow an enemy. but we're healers, we shouldn't have to worry about that. if someone needs help, shouldn't it be our duty to do all we can for them?"

it was this line of thinking that got spirit cast out of society in his past life. forced to work alone because he dared provide help to the innocents of the other side. would he change this time, now that he learned his lesson? absolutely not. he was here to help and protect, even if it meant putting aside allegiances. "i'm all for shadowing anyone, even an enemy." maybe athanansius would look down upon him for that decision, but he didn't really care. that's what this meeting was for, anyways. working out the kinks and laying the ground rules.

"amazing set up, aphrodite," the male offered as he sent a few fake leaves falling from his hands. his attention was pulled away from the decorations as the girl opened the doors, and shen smiled at geralt as the man entered the hall, waving slightly as he crossed the room to join the duo. he'd been inside the entire time, preferring to help aphrodite with the set up rather than waiting outside in the chill of november. his dark hair was braided loosely over his shoulder, and he tucked a few fly-away strands behind his ear. "we're glad to have you," he answered, inclining his head just slightly. "the name's shen, what's yours?" his dark eyes scanned over the thunderlander as he stuffed his hands into his pockets. it seemed everyone was dressed well, yet still retained the casual air that the party was giving off. shen himself was wearing black trousers and a pale red button down that he'd loosely tucked in, along with black oxfords. comfortable, yet good looking; his favourite combination.

childish by nature, spirit wasn't the least bit put off as he approached the owner of the voice. he'd felt his own childish delight upon taking his first boat ride, and even now, the islands never ceased to amaze him. the small fox bounded over, a friendly smile on his maw. "huānyíng!" he greeted, settling back and waving a paw. "i'm spiritline, what's your name?"

spirit, much like bastet, didn't focus much on the political side of things. he knew enough to be proud of the promotion he'd received, and he was excited to work more as a cleric apprentice, but he wouldn't lie and say every meeting was a blast to be at. still, the fox smiled wide at gabriel and bobbed his head appreciatively. "thank you!" he chirped before turning his attention to hyperia's newest member. "meetings are held, generally, once a week. but i guess it could be as needed, especially if there isn't much going on," the fox offered with with a casual shrug of his shoulders. he'd only been to a handful from his time in the veil and here, but it was enough for him to gauge how things seemed to run throughout the clans.

spirit's smile only grew, glad that someone other than aphrodite was matching his energy. it seemed hyperia was full of reclusive silent types, and while the fox found one of them particularly interesting, he couldn't stand to be around people who couldn't be upbeat every now and again. "it means 'welcome,'" he explained simply. a light laugh bubbled up in his throat as bastet gave him quite the choice of nicknames to use. "alright, bass, i'm glad you decided to join us."

the knowledge that he had been mentioned, to some extent, surprised him, and his jaw slackened slightly. he'd been praised by deathstroke, and he thought that had been the end of it. he snaps his mouth shut and offers a suddenly bashful smile. "oh really? well, i'm glad i could meet you as well." he's not normally this horrid with words, but the situation leaves him reeling. he makes a mental note to check on feliks once he returns to the thunderlands on an ambassador visit, recalling the poor state he'd been in at the time.

shen quietly follows after geralt, allowing his focus to shift towards the food that had been laid out. he hops over to the drink bar, pouring himself a glass of champagne and taking a sip of it before returning to the food once more. "aphrodite, you've really out done yourself," he comments, surveying all the choices. "it looks and smells delicious." he selects a spot and gently sets his glass down and exchanging it for a plate. now came the challenge of deciding what he wanted.

persephone's call quickly draws the fox to the scene, and he offers the liger a smile as he settles next to cosmicshadow. "i'd like one as well, please," he chirps with a flick of his ears.

it had been a while since he'd been to the jungle of the thunderlands, though his previous visit stuck with him. worry bubbled up within as he made it to the border, and he peered into the dense trees as if he could spot feliks in their camp. he forced himself to settle down, putting the basket at his feet and taking a seat. his busy tail was pressed close to his side, and began to fidget with the ribbon wrapped around his paw. he could only hope this visit was a lot lighter than the previous one had been.

the fox couldn't stop the relieved smile that came to his maw as feliks approached. he certainly looked a lot better, if not extremely exhausted. but, that meant he was on his way to recovering, which was all spirit had hoped for after he'd left his previous visit. "feliks," he answers with a quick dip of his head. "you're looking better, i'm glad." he pauses to push the basket of small herb bundles and some thanksgiving pastries over the border. "hyperia has been doing well, shì. i hope you all have been doing the same?"

much like athanasius, spirit didn't think of himself as the religious type. in his past life, he recalls some kinds of offerings, some prayers. but, never a deity. if he'd had the ability to remember everything, he would've realized that he'd been focused on his ancestors as the important beings in his life. now, in this new life, with no real ancestors to speak of and no memories to go by, the fox was left to wonder and wander.

and he did quite a bit of both. he almost wished for something to happen, if only to give himself a sense of direction. unlike athanasius, he didn't think he had anything to repent for. at least, nothing that he could remember. there was that falling out with his brother, in his past life, but he stood by the fact that he'd done all he could to repair their relationship, and it hadn't been his fault that they hadn't been able to fully regain what they'd lost.

he was pulled from his musings as he came across the cleric, saying some prayer to some being he didn't recognize. he doesn't mean to intrude; he knows that religion can be quite an intimate thing, but he's too curious to just pass by. golden eyes carry child-like intrigue as he approaches, steps light as he tries not to disturb the scene (though he knew talking will break the mood nonetheless). the fox seems unsure how to begin, but eventually settled on the simplest question he could think of. "er, what are you up to?" lame, in hindsight, but it got the conversation going.

spirit had chosen hyperia for its small nature. when he'd first come to agrelos, confused and injured beyond belief, he'd wandered straight in solaris' territory. and there he'd stayed, recovering and trying to get used to these strange new rules and creatures. and though he'd intended on staying as a way to repay their kindness, he felt overwhelmed by their numbers and their activity. he'd been stuck on the outside looking in and the decision to leave had been an easy one. then it had been on to the veil, a place that had called to his shadowy aesthetic. but, they'd had the same issue. eventually, he'd gone off on his own for months on end as he mourned the loss of his brother, only to end up in hyperia. he needed others around; he was too social to make a real life as a loner.

hyperia's small numbers and magical islands had called to him, and here he had stayed. besides, he'd met michael, and the lion had decided to stick around while he recovered. spirit had half a mind to try and convince the lion to stay, or at least bug him into extending his visit. after all, the fox had taken a liking to the stoic male, and he wasn't going to just let him run off. the fox was pulled from his musings over michael as he came across bastet. he hadn't expected to find anyone else this far out, but it was a welcome surprise. a grin comes to his maw as he bounds over to the newest member of hyperia. "bastet!" he chirps in greeting as he comes to a halt. "what are you up to?" spirit peers curiously at the flowers that lay at her paws, and he can't help but recall the flower lesson he had attended earlier.

spirit was quite the hunter, he liked to think. with swift movements and the aid of shadows on his side, he was confident in his abilities to go after any manner of prey. of course, he limited himself to things that were his own size, though he would be lying if he said he hadn't ever gone after a deer before. he hadn't exactly planned on hunting today, but he came across persephone on his patrol, and her own kill made him detour towards her. "nice one," he offers up by way of greeting. "have you been out long?"
