I can see Snakepaw and Wolfpaw getting along pretty well then, seeing as the plots we have planned for the each of them are pretty similar. But since Wolfpaw is Bearclaw's favorite, Snakepaw will definitely always be a little jealous of her :)

As far as plots for Snakepaw, here are the ones I want to have happen for sure:

    - He's going to be a bit of a jerk to most of his siblings, in part due to the rivalry Bearclaw has created among them, and in part due to how much Snakepaw strives to emulate Bearclaw. He will get on best with his siblings that have similar views.

    - If anyone's willing, I want him to actually be the closest to one of them who don't meet his dad's standards. My reasoning is that he won't feel threatened by them, so he's therefore more willing to chill with and open up to them.

    - Snakepaw will develop a mutual crush on one of his clanmates but he ruins any chances he has by being a total jerk like his dad, thinking it's 'cool.'

I freaking love Heathers. Both the movie and the musical are awesome.

I also like the idea of Roaringpaw and Snakepaw being close, but he's still going to be a jerk. As long as she can hold her own against that, I think it would work.

Are we waiting for all the slots to be filled before we introduce them or can we start posting with them now?

    edit;; ditto'ing Khepri

Okay! Since it's between the three of them I'll not join in. I'm going to start roleplaying with Snakepaw. Does anyone want to have a public sparring thread with him?

He was restless and sore. His body hurt from the day before and his mind was almost just as tired out. Snakepaw was so tired in fact, that he was too tired to tell them to piss off. That slowly changed as their volume increased. Snakepaw wasn't much of a hothead...but the lack of sleep put him on edge.

"Will you all please, for the love of StarClan, shut up?" snarled the brown Maine Coon as he rolled over and onto his feet. His eyes were still tired and trying to make sense of things, but he could both see and hear that his siblings were apart of this. "Some of us like our sleep!"

The Maine Coon kitten sat by the entrance to the clan's camp and eagerly awaited his new mentor's arrival. Was he the first of his siblings to be assigned a mentor? Pride swelled in his chest at the thought of what Bearclaw might think. Would he approve? Would he be proud? Snakepaw had the be the very best, better than any of his other siblings. Most importantly, better than Wolfpaw. He was going to become exactly what his dad wanted!

♚ ♚ ♚ Took him long enough? The tom stared blankly at Rustsky in disbelief. It was hardly past sunrise! Snakepaw could feel his hackles raise in defiance and his eyes push toward the back of his head. His anger was not completely because of Rustsky's words. No, it was disappointment at his failure to live up to what seemed to be her expectations. If he couldn't meet hers...how would he meet his father's? The tom opened his mouth to throw out an apology, or maybe a cutting retort, but he closed his maw because he did. He decided to hold his tongue. After all, she was his mentor. Even if she was...kind of young.

"Can we start with you showing me around?" What he really wanted was to dive right into learning how to hunt and fight, but he figured he'd have to wait for that anyways. Might as well ask to have a look around.

// silverspring. edited my post cause it kinda sucked before lol

    "speech"bio (wip)plotting (wip)

Bearclaw had muttered last night about having disappointment in Snakepaw. He had said, "Why isn't my son making himself known? Why in the four clans does he not want to be great?" Snakepaw didn't understand his words, because after all, it was hardly a day since he'd been assigned a mentor. Never the less, his father's words dug into his skin like claws. They irked Snakepaw and made the apprentice resent himself for not doing well enough. His father was right, and Snakepaw had to make him proud. He would be the best out of his siblings. So he had to prove that.

It was still dark outside when the green-eyed tom had rolled over and prodded Vixenpaw. He had said, "Let's spar tomorrow in the morning." His sister agreed. Now the morning had come and he was waiting for her outside the apprentices' den. Snakepaw flexed his claws in and out of the dirt. Would he win? Surely he would, she was smaller than him. He had his father's big and strong body. She...well, she didn't.

    // .daisypaw.

He was still irritated--still irked at everyone's decision to interrupt his sleep with their incessant chatter--but when his mentor suggested that they should go and hunt...well, it at least gave him a reason to be awake. The tom sauntered over to the entrance of the den and stepped out into the clearing. The moon hung low in the horizon and a gentle breeze brushed against his thick, dark fur. Snakepaw turned back around and faced his siblings, his mentor, and the other apprentices.

"If you are all done bickering," he snapped. "why don't we actually go and hunt?" He said it as if he'd never argued with them before.

He did, in fact, see Vixenpaw as a weak-link. She was an oddity amongst his siblings. Most of them took after the typical strong build of his father (him especially, to his delight), but Vixenpaw did not. Snakepaw was like his father in how he under-estimated others...and perhaps over-estimated himself. With all of the insecurities he had stemming from his father's approval, he needed something to keep him confident. This was it.

    "Sounds good, race you there."

Snakepaw bolted right after Vixenpaw. He kept his speed down and manageable and watched her to see where the roots and bumps in the path were. He had no intention of winning; he knew she would have won anyways if he'd tried to catch up. The tabby entered the clearing a bit after her with a smirk on his maw. Ha! She'd taken the bait. What a mousebrain.

His green eyes flicked over toward the warm-colored Mangle at the sound of her voice. Immediately his eyes lit up and a smile replaced the smirk on his maw. She wanted to watch them? Oh, he wouldn't mind at all.

"Yeah, come on over. I'll show you how it's done." With that, Snakepaw moved into the very center of the clearing and turned to face Vixenpaw. He tensed. She could make the first move.

Would anyone be up for a little apprentice sparring thread? I want Snakepaw to have a reputation for being a bit of an aggressor. I just need two other apprentices to spar with him and lose. Unless it's one of his siblings, there won't be anything ill-intended about it, just a friendly competition.
