Had he had hearing, he would have explained, that actually, some RiverClan cats can (and did in the books) actually dive under water and catch fish that way. But alas he couldn’t.

The kit flinched, and the large tom felt bad, but he couldn’t help how loud he was with his ears not working.

His attention was drawn away by another kit, who seemed rather talkative from what he was seeing. Even pointed at him as if he was trying to say something to him. Maybe they wanted his name? The golden spotted tom stretched out, curling his forepaws under his chest.

“NAME’S ELKSPOTS!” He mewed, flicking his gaze between the two.

The scent of the shadowy pines where ShadowClan called home would invade the scene as the once night-like tom would approach, Golden gaze ablaze with the light from the stars themselves it would seem. Rulindil, Welcome. the tom mewed, dipping his head as if from one leader to the next. With this life I give you judgement. Use it to choose and follow the right path for WindClan. He spoke, briefly laying his muzzle across the new leader’s head, before stepping back into the starry ranks of the StarClan warriors.

Garner some attention, yes. Dark green eyes were narrowed against the pounding sheet of rain that now drenched their fur, as they leaped from an adjacent tree branch straight to the ground. Did they want one? They really didn’t feel like interacting much, but everyone else seemed keen on grabbing a task while they were still ‘hot from the oven’, so they found theirselves sitting quietly to wait on a task.
