Minksplash had been exploring the territory when she just so happened to stumble across the scene, she had seen the graves before but hadn't know who they belonged to... But now she figured that they were the burial grounds of kin of Flutter's, or a dear friend. For what felt like ages she decided to stand back unsure if she should come over to comfort the feline or allow her to have her time. The murmurs of her could be heard by Minksplash, but she wasn't close enough to understand what she was saying. Probably for the best wasn't it? Wasn't any of her business anyways.
But after a few moments of silence she figured she might as well try right? If Flutter did not wish for her to be there she'd leave, so quietly she ambles of to the feline. "Hey." Greets the cinnamon point softly as she sits down next. "Want some company? I know... this might not be the best time but I know for some cats having someone there makes things a little better."
Her aqua gaze travels to the grave, who was it? Part of her wanted to ask, but if Flutter truly wished to discuss it Mink knew she'd learn in due time.

Were patrols more of a cave-guard job or prey-hunter...? Or both? Really she had no idea, and while she heard the tribe didn't care about borders as much as the clans she figured maybe she and some others could go down and check in with DarkClan? Maybe they had already done that recently but... Mink needed an excuse to get out of camp and stretch her legs. So padding to the middle of camp she opens her mouth to speak, "Uhh, hey! DarkClan is uh, an ally of ours right? I haven't spoken to anyone from there in a long while... why don't we go check up on them and say hi?" Mink meows with a small tilt of her head, "If one cave-guard could come with me that'd be great... but obviously everyone is welcome to join me."

”You’d make for a good prey-hunter with close chasing skills.” The cinnamon mink point feline muses as she carries herself over to where the child way playing. Not that apparently what determined what you became... she still didn’t understand why the main factor of what a cat did in the tribe depended on what type of body they carried. In the clans you could be whatever you wanted to be really... not that there were many options but there was certainly more.
Here you couldn’t even heal cats unless you were leader. It was all just odd to her.
But she’d adjust. She believed in the cat she had seen in her dream.
”Uh... want someone to play with?” She offers with a small smile.
//sorry for how weird this post is (and short), mobile. But she’s so cute !
-
”Great.” She purrs when Pumpkin approaches and offers to help. She had never gotten the chance to really speak to the tom yet so perhaps they could finally get themselves acquainted on the way?
And while Minksplash wasn’t aware it’d seem that the two would both be going to DarkClan in hopes no one would recognize them. Mink had once been a member of DarkClan... she er, had betrayed WindClan two different times. But to this day she was pretty sure no one in WindClan knew about it.
And honestly she hoped they never did. She didn’t want the tribe knowing either, wouldn’t look good probably...
”Let’s see if anyone else wants to join, if not just the two of us should be fine.”
-
Don't think you won't ever be able to protect the tribe though.
A shiver ran down her spine at the mere thought of raking her claws against another felines flesh... she'd never be able to do it. Minksplash had always been a pacifist, perhaps she'd no longer be one in terms of killing prey but she never could really see herself protecting the tribe against another cat. It just wasn't in her nature. "I agree." She meows, well she supposed if everyone seem to thought so prey-hunter would be the path she took.
She was just relieved no one had dared to mention the role of cave-guard though. That to the tribe she seemed more of a prey-hunter anyways.
"A tour would be nice as soon as possible- from anyone really. I want to get to work with practicing my hunting technique as soon as possible, but I'm... assuming to hone those skills I'd need to know the layout of the territory. And get use to its uh- rocky terrain." She was so use to open moors with little to no obstacles in the way... in the tribe it was much more difficult. She probably couldn't run anywhere for more than fifty paw-steps without taking a tumble.

Ah a meeting? So far it seemed like it was going to go similarly to how the clans did theirs. You'd gather and then the leader would talk about what needed to be said... interesting. With a flick of her single working ear she pads over to the scene deciding to take a seat near the front, she usually didn't have a problem understanding cats or reading lips when she absolutely couldn't make out what they were saying with her ear (though not all the time she was correct in what she guessed they were saying), she didn't want to miss out on her first meeting here.
She shifts her gaze up to the feline as she awaits for the meeting to continue as her new tribe-mates continued to gather around.
-
With a nod to Pumpkin and an appreciative murmur of thanks to him it would then not take long for Pipit to approach, "Two is better than one." She purrs. Especially in terms of Minksplash who was admittedly rather helpless when it came to defending herself, she only knew the basics but that was about it... Turning around she begins to pad torward the exit of camp before stopping where Pumpkin had began to wait. "Ready to go when you two are!"
//sorry for the lame response but I'll tag u both!

While the tribe did not care as much about borders from what she heard though they respected them, it was odd... A big change compared to the way of life she was use to living. Arguments and fights over borders led to deaths, injury, and starvation in the clans. If any of them even lost a snippet of territory to another clan it always seemed as if a chunk of their ego was bitten off. Then again she could see why of course, more territory meant more prey, more territory meant more room for cats. Ideally the more about of territory you had the better and most likely... more powerful you would end of being. But... the tribe was a nice change of pace from that. They were much more laid back, much more forgiving too.
She couldn't help but guiltily think, perhaps it was because they had no code?
Maybe it was that, and a mixture of the fact they usually did not get themselves involved with drama with the other clans. Could she blame them? No, not at all.
"Is our alliance with DarkClan on good standings? I still don't know much about politics in the tribe, but if we are on good standings with DarkClan that won't take much time for me to adjust to that at all. WindClan and DarkClan have been allies since I was a child." Oh... she missed those days. But they were long gone now.
//sorry if this is a weird starter but!! Call of Tiny Pipit
wobble!
feel free to post before those tagged!

"I can help." The words came from the feline as she slipped out of the shadows of the cave and rushed forward to the child, completely forgetting that it was even just a stonetellers job at healing. But even if she was aware, did it matter when it was a child? He needed any help he could get as fast as possible. Looking down at the floor at the kit Owl brought in. Oh poor thing looked freezing... "We need to warm him up, get all that snow off of him... then I can check for injuries." She was so use to the role as medicine cat, she meant no disrespect to Veil but she was just in her zone. Doing what she use to do for her former clan.
Moving forward she attempts to grab the child so she could carry her off to the stonetellers den, where she knew all the herbs were stored and surely a spare nest would be placed there. Which is when it began to hit her, healing wasn't her job here anymore...
With her face growing hot with embarrassment she decides not to say anything... for now, and instead continues to walk to the stonetellers den. Assuming she was successful in picking the larger kit up she sets him down in a spare nest she found and decides to try and lay down next to him hoping it would bring him some warmth faster. She hadn't seen the stoneteller in his den... so she'd call for him again like Owl had, "Veil? You around here?"

Awhile ago Flutter had told her to report back to her in awhile to see how much she had so far learned about the tribe. But she hadn't been able to find Flutter this morning nor did she exactly want to bother anyone at the moment who didn't have spare time on their paws. So she figures why not just ask everyone to see if they'd be interested? Of course she didn't plan on going cat to cat and asking no... She was just going to be a little loud this morning and ask everyone in the center of the cave. So making her way over she sits down with a small smile, "Hey, anyone down for quizzing me about the tribe? I want to prove that I've been listening and uh... really making an effort to adapt to the tribes way of life." While she was sure she did not know everything she sure as hell was going to do her best.
-
Her aqua gaze watches the entrance of the stoneteller's den to watch to see if Owl had followed or if another cat like Veil was coming over to help. But her attention was soon taken away from the entrance of the den and placed onto the child, where am I?
She blinks... she had taken in a few kits before during her time in WindClan. Helped newer kits within the clan who had come without parents as a nursery-helper. Being in the same position again reminded her she was no longer any of the things she had loved to do. She was no medicine cat. She was no nursery-helper.
Her path was to hunt for the tribe now. While she was determined she would get use to it she feared history would repeat itself.
Forcing the thoughts out of her head she thinks about what matters right now, the child.
"You're in the Tribe of Rushing Water." The cinnamon point meows with a soft smile, "We're going to help you get warm again, offer you a place to stay too if you'd like." She attempts to curl her tail around the young tom, not only to help warm him but in hopes of bringing some comfort. "Are you hurt anywhere...?"

Though she was yet to interact with Thunder, Minksplash had heard the felines name from an npc who told her the names of cats as they had passed by throughout the day so she could put names to faces. While it took her a bit to remember after a few moments the molly's name hit her, though she... wasn't sure what her whole name was. Hell she couldn't remember many cats full names. They were so long...
To think that one day she just might have a name that long was crazy... but she was sure eventually she'd be ready for it.
But she was happy that Thunder was willing to quiz her, with an appreciative look she awaits for the first question.
Oh! She had this one! Though she had only interacted with the stoneteller a couple of times she heard his name get whispered throughout camp quite often, "Veil. But... if his full name is what makes it count I'll admit to you I forget it." She muses with a purr.
-
It wouldn't take long for Veil to then appear after she had called for him, looking up from the young tom kit and over to the Stoneteller. She would remain silent for a few moments but her remaining working ear flicks in confusion. He was asking her if that sounded okay? Perhaps Mink wouldn't be as flattered if she knew Veil less direct training than she had, but still... even though it was no longer her job she was glad that perhaps it would still be acknowledged she had a history with herbs. "Yes... food and thyme will help him. He should be closely monitored too." She suggests with a twitch of her whiskers, the feline would then turn her attention to Owl.
"He should be, with a bit of warming up, some food, and herbs to protect him against any possible sickness he'll be fine. And I'm sure if anything were to pop up afterwards Veil will be able to help him no problem." Mink meows reassuringly to Owl, and perhaps it would also be of some reassurance to the flame colored kit.
Can I really stay?
It seemed no one had really questioned it. They all had immediately welcomed the child in with open arms.
Veil may have not said it, but the tribe had proven themselves to be good cats so far... There was no way they'd throw him back out. "Of course you can..." Purrs Mink, "After you get herbs and prey in your system along with some rest we can show you around camp if you want." And ask if he knows where his parents are... But she had a feeling she already knew the answer without asking.
Never had a kit showed up with parents frantically worrying for them.
"Do you have a name?"

Ooh! I love Flutter with all my heart, would you be down for these two to maybe form a friendship? c:
It also crossed my mind, while it might be a bit bittersweet for flutter, maybe we could see if some type of sisterly bond could form between them? Im not sure if she'd be looking for an adoptive sibling because of her litter-mate that passed away but it might be interesting to see how that would develop? But if you are not interested no worries! I can still see these two somehow forming a friendship!
-
She gives Flutter an appreciative look as she walks over to the scene, Veil of Silent Dusk...
There was no way she'd remember that. By all means everyone here had such pretty names but how did you remember all of them? When she got her own name would she even remember it?
Ugh, she'd get there. Eventually these names would be as easy as remembering clan names. Eventually she'd probably wonder why clan names were so short.
"I'll do my best to remember but I'll probably need a few extra reminders." Purrs the feline as she curls her tails around her paws. Flutter then went ahead and asked her some questions, "You're supposed to tell them Stoneteller correct?" She heard a few cats not abide by the rule, herself so far included.
She wondered if Veil considered being called by his name or by the name all Stonetellers were given...
But the season? She had no clue, honestly she never even had asked even... leaf-bare had always been leaf-bare to her. It being anything else would be odd. "I can't answer the season though... I'd guess but I'd just embarrass myself, what does the tribe call it?"
-
//sorry for it taking so long for me to respond.
You're leaving?
Her aqua gaze would flicker upwards to see an old friend, and perhaps Mink was naive to think Duckstar would have thrown their friendship away over the tensions the two had during Minksplash's last two moons within WindClan. But then again Sparrowflight was proof that not everyone was going to put some of the things she said or done aside.
Despite her shy nature in the past she always had been stubborn, and to this day she stood by what she said.
"Its good to see you." She purrs to the tom, "To be honest with you I was leaving because I figured many wouldn't appreciate a traitors presence." She didn't mean for that to come out snarky either, she meant it. Once again if the sides were reversed she would feel the same. An ear would flick at the mention of Hawkmoth... well if she'd be allowed to she'd love to go and see him. "I'd love to see Hawkmoth, I hope I didn't worry him too much." Did she still have feelings for the tom?
A little.. but after she had confessed to them they had both went silent about it for a long time. They always had a barrier keeping them from being anything more than friends, at first it was because he was a medicine cat, then they were both medicine cats, and now she was in a whole different group.
The stars couldn't make it more obvious it just wasn't in their destinies to be together.
But at the next news her heart sinks, Mistralhowl? Did she not lead anymore? Then her dear sister Pebbleripple wasn't around anymore? "What happened to Mistralhowl...? Why isn't she leading? When did Pebbleripple vanish? Did you guys look? Maybe... maybe shes in another clan nearby..."
-
As another, and much younger feline approached Mink would give the child a small smile before they asked their question. Oh! She actually knew this one, the age part only because it was so odd to her... She was so use to cats being apprenticed at six moons but within the tribe it was younger. However she had no idea whether or not that meant they became full members at twelve or eleven moons... She'd have to ask someone. "A to-be, and five moons if I remember correctly? Meaning you'll be out and about as one soon won't you?"
"You know... cats in the clans have to wait a whole extra moon." Mink adds with a purr figuring it may be interesting to hear to those who didn't know.

//sorry for the late reply, been spending time offline for the holidays !
She had heard about that since she had been in WindClan, she wondered if they were still at each others throats however...? With some bias of course, Minksplash couldn't help but think if they were it was ShadowClan's fault surely? DarkClan had always been kind to WindClan... Plus the cats in the clan had seemed naturally kind to her. But... everyone did have their enemies, and she knew that not even WindClan had been perfect with being friendly with other clans during her time. "If we're on good standing with them why can't we let them forget exactly who we are?" Perhaps she took the statement the wrong way, after all one of her ears ceased to work and while shes long since adapted to it she still often misunderstood cats. Both with tone and words.
But it seemed Pumpkin wouldn't have time to answer her question and it was most likely for the best as two DarkClan cats showed up. One familiar, and one who was a stranger to her. With a small smile she dips her head to Briarheart, "You too. Names Minksplash now though... assuming you got your own warrior name to go by now too?" The cinnamon point asks with a tilt of her head, almost seemingly mimicking Briarheart's head motion. As Frostfang shows up she casts the tom a small nod in greetings, "How is uh, DarkClan doing?"
-
"Honestly... you'd probably be bored out of your mind!" Mink lets out a small giggle, as a child she had been shy and reserved... The thought of becoming an apprentice even scared her, she remembered asking everyone within WindClan for reassurance that it'd be okay the night before the day of her ceremony.
Its been a long time since Minkkit... A really long time...
"When I was waiting out my sixth moon I know I was, but I was nervous to become an apprentice. Or a to-be in the clans, I was... scared and nervous over a lot when I was younger." But since then she was required to toughen up a bit. Of course she still found herself anxious, but shes since learned to take action and control her anxiety far better. "You becoming a prey-hunter or a cave-guard Mist?"

The large birds that ruled the skies of the mountains were unfamiliar to Mink, sure she had seen larger birds in her days but these hawks were a whole new level. She heard tales of cats being able to get carried off by some of these things, and honestly she had never believed it... until now that is. Mink had sat herself upon the ledge of a nearby rocky slope to allow her aqua gaze to peer down at the lands before her, but her gaze was specifically trailing after something specific. A giant hawk that carried feathers numerous shades of brown had landed on the ground, she wasn't certain what for... but perhaps just to take a break from flying? The bird hardly moved, which gave Mink the perfect opportunity to examine it... and think about how in the world she was supposed to help bring down such a thing.
But it would certainly provide plenty of food for the tribe, it'd feed a lot of bellies...
So certainly the risk she was going to take today would be worth it.
She turns her head to look at the cat who had silently approached her and with a small smile she waves her paw beckoning for them to come closer before pointing the tip of her tail in the direction of the giant bird. "So... think we could take it down?"
