    Ripjaw glanced at Patch, then to Nox. "You could try. We've almost won him over with the promise of food." He told her in a hushed tone.
    Roxy snorted. "Careful, Patch. He might yip you to death." She wasn't sure if Patch had seen Nox yet, but he certainly wasn't a threat of ANY kind. The only weapon he could ever offer was his highly-irritating bark.

    Nox scowled as more dogs appeared. Great. Juuuust great. Now I'll stink of pack for weeks. The small dog pouted to himself.

    Nox shrank back in his cage as Patch threatened him. For a moment, he cowered in shock. Then, his stubbornness set in. He bared his teeth in return and rose to his paws. "Pack dog thinks she's big and strong. Do not doubt Nox's power. He will skin pack dog alive!" Nox snarled. The fur along his spin was spiked up, and the small dog bounced up and down like he did when he got all riled up.

    OOC;;

    Fable watched Milo and Riess with wide eyes. A Prisoner? She wondered. Her ears were pricked forward in interest as she watched the two make their way over to the trailer. Poor girl. She thought to herself, wincing as Riess was thrown to the ground. I wish I could do something to help...

    Sparta searched the temporary camp. Where was Milkyway? If the apprentice had been left back at a previous campsite, no one was going back for him. He yowled for Milkyway one more time before noticing Colbat. Sparta allowed the fur on his back to lie flat, and the shaman resumed a relaxed mood. "Need something?" He asked Colbat.

    OOC;;

    Roman let out a scoff. "But that's my branch!" He complained. "Fine! Who needs you!" He spat and slunk away to the water pool. His tail lashed in irritation while the young leopard stooped his head down to drink some water. Then a thought occurred to him. He grinned devilishly and stalked quietly to a tree quite close to the tree in which April rested on. Roman sunk his curved claws into the soft bark and scaled into the cover of the branches. Next, he crawled out onto the thin branch which extended out towards April's perch. The spotted jaguar crouched low against his perch, breathing quietly. One more step....aaaaand... "GAAAAAR!" He yowled, flinging himself through the air and down towards April.

    OOC;;

    To be honest, Roman probably should have thought his plan through. When he went sailing past April after she dodged his attack, Roman had no idea what to do. Frankly, there wasn't much time to figure it out either. He let out a screech of alarm and landed right into the watering pool with a large splash.

    Roman clambered out of the water, gasping. His eyes were wide in horror as he beheld his wet pelt. It would take him FOREVER to get dry! "You just think you're sooooo great, don't you?" He asked April with flattened ears. "Well the jokes on you, because I wanted to go swimming. So HA!"

    Nox's eyes were orb-like as Patch came sailing into his cell. "Erm...Yea, of course. A c-chat." He stammered nervously, backing himself into the crib corner. When he had pressed himself as far away as possible, Nox sat down. Now he was scared. Sure he could threaten all he wanted to behind the safety of his bars. However, it was a bit harder to threaten when a dog could openly rip off his ear.

    Roxy watched in joyful entertainment as Patch leapt into the crib with Nox. She adjusted her position to a full front-row seat to the unfolding show. Sincerely, the huntress hoped Nox would be stubborn so Patch had an excuse to ruff him up.

    Nox's ears perked up. Not many, if any, dogs had ever told him that he seemed brave. It was quite the compliment. He had to admit, this pack dog was already looking a lot better in his eyes. The small dog nodded vigorously. "Nox is like that! Nox is brave!" He piped with a wagging tail.
    The truth was that Nox was a young dog. A baby, really. No one had been counting the time, but it was estimated the young pup was about 7 or 8 months old. When receiving any sort of praise, Nox couldn't hold back the puppy inside and become excited.

    Nox's tail wagged happily. "Nox was named by his momma! She went to live with humans a while ago. She'll come back soon, though. " He told Patch cheerfully. The young dog was completely in puppy mode now. He was much more relaxed, and without knowing it, his guard had completely fallen. Nox sincerely like the pack dog. Unlike the others, she didn't seem completely spiteful of his presence. She seemed to take an interest in him, and attention was not something he received often.

    Sparta nodded. "Alright. Thank you for the message, Colbat." He replied politely. Then, the shaman turned and padded over to Runa. He was still a bit irritated with the fact that his apprentice was missing, but that situation would have to wait. "What do you need, Queen Runa?" Sparta asked, sitting down when he arrived.

    Nox nodded, spinning around in hyper circles. His tongue lolled happily out of his mouth. "Nox would love some ham!" He barked in excitement. It was official: This pack dog was by far the greatest he had ever met.

    Roxy watched Patch and Nox in disappointment. I guess that chew-toy won't get beat around after all. She sighed. Whatever... The huntress rose to her paws and padded over to her brother. "I never get to see any fun." She complained.
    "Oh come on. Nox isn't that bad. Besides..." Ripjaw's voice lowered into a hushed tone. "Patch has the best chance at getting the information out of him."
    "Hm...I think we could have squeezed the information out of him eventually." Roxy pouted.
    "It's better this way." The beta reminded his sister.

    Nox followed the pack dog to her den and climbed inside. When she threw the chunk of meat, the pup caught it in his jaws. Immediately, the starving dog began wolfing down the ham, hardly stopping to breath in between bites. When the meat had been completely consumed, Nox finally allowed himself to breath and talk. "Nox was sent by alpha to spy on pack dogs. Alpha wanted to know as much about pack as possible..." The puppy admitted shamefully. "Nox was promised food for every bit of information he brought back."
    Truthfully, he felt bad about having to spy for food. But being so young, it was the most practical way for him to receive enough food to keep himself alive and strong.

    OOC;; I think I'm going to create the rival pack in another thread if anyone would be interested in joining.

    Nox watched Patch leave with wide, disbelieving eyes. What she was saying couldn't be true. It just...couldn't be. His pack was his family! They took him in after his mother left. Gave him a home. Food. His pack would never betray him...

    Would they?

    "NO! They would never betray Nox. They....They would never betray me." He whispered.

    Nox rose to heavy paws and treaded out of the cardboard den. He slunk over to the food pile, hoping to distract his troubled mind. The small dog sniffed at the various scraps, but nothing looked appealing. The pup turned away. His appetite had been lost. The emptiness in his stomach had been filled with sadness and confusion.

    Patch troted back to her den to see Nox sulking around, his head low and tail dragging behind him. She thought her words were going to help, but instead seemed tio have crushed him. "Are you okay, Nox?" she asked him, giving him a lick on his forehead.

    Nox sighed. "I'm just a bit...I don't know... just a bit disappointed, I guess." He grimaced. "It hurts to think my pack would use me. They're the only real family I've ever known." The small dog's grammar had noticeably improved. This was strange. Nox had never spoken 'properly' in all of his life.

    Nox licked Patch's nose gratefully. "Thank you so much. I do trust you, but I'm still scared. If I stay here, how will my mother ever find me? My pack won't know that I left them. What if my mother thinks I'm hurt or...I don't know...dead?" His tone was thick with worry. The thing Nox wanted most in life was to be with a true family. His mother had practically abandoned him, but that only fueled his desperate desire for acceptance.

    Roman scowled as he stared up at April, sitting upon his branch. It was an outrage! An injustice! But there was nothing he could do, at this point. Perhaps she would grow bored with it and leave.
    The spotted leopard turned and began to pad around the enclosure. At one point, he arrived at a large glass wall that made up half of the enclosure walls. On the other side, pale, hairless faces stared back. Humans. Some stared in awe, with mouths agape. Some had their faces and hands squished up against the glass. Others held black boxes that flashed every so often.
    Roman rubbed his head against the glass and rolled over onto his back. The humans leapt up and down in excitement, causing the black boxes to flash even more. Yes, Roman knew what made the humans happy. All they wanted was a show.
    "I think humans are ugly. What about you, April?" He asked, turning his head slightly from where he was sprawled out across the ground.
