Atlas ran over the final hill to reach the horse in trouble. Okay, fighting moves...think... kicking, rearing, charging, stomping-He screeched to a halt as his eyes came to rest on three horses. He sighed with relief, Other horses! Maybe even a small herd! This is fantastic! Forgetting about all previous dangers (or new potential ones), Atlas trotted up to the group, optimistically. "Hiya!" He whinnied, cheerfully.

Atlas stopped short of the group. A large, grey stallion stood before him, eyes unwelcoming. Atlas was bubbling with joy, not even fazed by the stallion's temper. "Atlas!" He breathed happily, "Reason for trespassing...lost? Calm down! A voice told him, They might see you as a threat and chase you away. He flicked his ears in embarrassment. "I-I didn't realize I was trespassing, sorry. Are you the lead stallion?"

Atlas flicked his ears, curiously, as they met up with the entire herd. So many horses! he thought, a bit over-whelmed. His old herd consisted of about 3 horses, but this herd at least three times that amount. He shifted his weight awkwardly.
Atlas jumped at the sound of Shra's call. He noticed the others beginning to follow her and joined them quickly. I wonder where were going... He wondered. Mountains that touch the clouds, meadows as big as the sky itself. The dangers that will meet me on the way. Wolves, cougars, sickness, starvation. I welcome them all. Swishing his tail, Atlas trotted to catch up with the herd, letting his mind wander.

Juniper sat on the cold floor of the hostage den. He swished his tail, bored out of his mind. It wasn't fair that Tiny got all of the attention. He swore no one even knew his name but his mother! He flicked his ears in irritation as Animi called for Tiny. Watching his sisters tail swaying back and fourth, he grinned as an idea came to him. Dropping low, he crept up behind Animi silently, eyes locked on her tail. The brave hunter, noiselessly stalks his unsuspecting prey. With a playful growl, Juniper leapt at Animi, aiming to bite her tail.

Animi yelped in surprise. She leaped back "Hey!" She screamed. When she saw Juniper, she relaxed. She growled. "You'll regret that" She yelled and launched herself onto him.
Tiny growled. "Thy cat that's talking to you is Zira.. Shes evil" he whispered. "Tiny" He scolded. "Eat those seeds. Please Tiny, for me" He said. He knew she would probably be surprised at the fact he had known she had not eaten them, especially because he was blind. He could sense she had not eaten then and had not heard her chew them. He turned to Zira. "What use will blond cats be, running into things every where around camp?" he asked. Maybe he could point out flaws besides the fact it was cruel.
Echo shuffled her paws impatiently. Her tail flicked back and forth, making dust clouds. She glanced at Zira, almost trying to hint something.
Juniper squeaked as Animi landed squarly on his shoulders. He stumbled for a moment before landing dramatically on his side."I'm hit! Oh, cruel fate, why must the good die young?" Leaping to his paws, Juniper swatted at Animi, playfully. -
Twist couldn't help but smile as she over-heard Lyla's comment to Superbass. You go Lyla! she thought, smugly. The assassin was really getting under Twist's fur lately. She lashed her tail in disgust as she noticed the large amounts of blood that splattered the ground. This place is going to reek for days.

Animi roared. "You dare challenge me?!" She asked in a thundering voice. She felt a paw hit her shoulder, and she fell into a stalking position, glaring at Juniper. She swiped a paw with her claw unsheathed, then at the last minute she sheathed them and laughed at her attempt to look scary.
"Hey, No claws!" Juniper protested. He was about to tackle Animi again, when something caught his attention. His eyes brightened at his new discovery. "Animi, look! No one's guarding the entrance to the den! We can go wherever we want!" it was Juniper's biggest desire to explore the outside world, considering he had never set foot outside of the den. He leapt to the entrance of the small den and peeked out. Everyone was so concerned with Tiny, that no one would notice if they left. We'll be back before they even miss us. He turned back to Animi. "Coming?"
-
Juniper snuck through the enterance of the den as silently as possible. Low to ground, he slipped into the undergrowth beside the den. Turning back to Animi, he gestured for her to hurry with his tail. Tossing a careful glance at the large group of cats, he smirked at the fact that no one had seen him. As soon as Animi would join him, they would be off to explore the wilderness.
-
Juniper pricked his ears at Lyla's offer. He like Lyla. Her words weren't venomous and dangerous like the others, but kind and understanding. "Thanks!" He purred. His expression turned to a scowl as he turned to Animi. "For the record, I was plenty quiet." Without waiting for a response, he spun around and stalked off back to camp. Poking his head out of the tall grass, he scanned the crowd for his mother. When he spotted her, Juniper padded excitedly. "Er, moma? Can Lyla take me and Animi for a walk? We really want to see the forest." He froze as his eyes came to rest on her bloody tail, or, what was left of it. He slowly followed the trail of blood from her tail to her face. "W-what happened?" He stammered. It seemed as if his mother's fluffy tail had been been shredded into nothing. As for her face...Juniper shuddered. "What's going on?" He demanded, frightened out of his mind.
-
Juniper whipped around at the sound of Animi's cry. Tiny lay on the ground, unmoving. His eyes widened in shock. Sprinting over to her, he put his paw on her flank. "T-tiny?" He stammered. His fear grew into panic. "What's wrong with her? Why won't she wake up?" He felt himself trembling. Whatever was going on, was horrible. Unimaginable. Sickening. He closed his eyes. Maybe this was all a dream. A horrible dream.
-
Twist looked at the kits before her with pity. So young, and yet already seeing how cruel the world could be. If they were really unlucky, they would have to watch their sister being blinded. Twist wanted to do something, but knew her actions could cause harm to herself or the kits. After all, she couldn't defy Zira. Although her choices of action were sometimes a bit...cruel, Twist had pledged her full loyalty to Zira. There was nothing she could do but sit back and watch the horror unfold.

Ok: I thought tiny was asleep

Juniper couldn't find his breath. Blood dripped from his father's head, glinting off the dark she-cats's claws. Why had she attacked him? Was it her who attacked his mother. Confusion clouded his mind, making it hard to think. He watched helplessly as Animi darted away. What can I do? Panic overwhelming him. Go after his sister or stand up for his father. Taking a deep breath and mustering up all of his courage, he stepped in between Zira and his father. "Why are you doing this Zirey?" He pleaded, "Why are you hurting my family?"
-
Juniper closed his eyes, tightly. He didn't want to see this. He couldn't. Turning his back to Zira and Tiny, and sprinted into the forest after Animi. Branches whipped at his face as he flung himself through the undergrowth. 'One day you'll understand...' Zira's voice echoed through his head. "I hope so." He whispered. "Animi!" He called softly, "Where are you?"
-
Juniper dug his claws into the ground as Tiny's yowl echoed around the forest. The world seemed to be spinning under his paws. "I know. I don't understand what's happening, but whatever it is it's not good. We're in danger here. If we were to leave, now would be the time to go."
-
"What can we do?" Juniper asked himself. Animi brought up a good point. They were only kits! Zira's cats could probobly hunt them down in less then a day. With leaf-bare upon them, chances of survival alone would be impossible. Why us? he thought bitterly.
-
Juniper staggered through the forest, blind with confusion. He wasn't sure where he was going and he didn't really care. As long as he was away from those blood-thirty cats, he would be content with wherever he was. Snow fell lightlyq from the grey sky, making him shiver as it landed on his thin pelt. They're probably dead. Tiny, moma, daddy. Soon they'll find Animi, then me. Juniper bit his lip to keep from crying out. It was unfair. What had he done to deserve this? The sound of flowing water snapped him out of his thoughts. Ears pricked, he followed the sound cautiously. Junier's heart skipped a beat as he found himself standing on the edge of a steep cliff. Many fox-lengths below, water churned dangerously, sliding past sharp, jagged rocks. Juniper looked gravely at the river. I'd rather die than live in this horrible place.
