Melodiouspaw was a little shy to step out of the bush from where she was hiding, but stepped out she did. The calico blinked at the new Arcadianclan member and tilted her head a little. "What's a horse?" she asked softly to the tom. She'd never seen one or heard of one, since she was still pretty young, And besides, she never ventured too far from the camp, anyways.

(( oh that's no problem. :) Melodiouspaw might have a bit of a crush on him for a while, though. ))
Melodiouspaw nodded to the game they were playing. "The game," she mewed. Was there anything else to look at? Well, except for maybe Xonos' head in the sand. But that was just funny to the calico. She briefly wondered what it'd feel like, but decided against trying it out.
-
Melodiouspaw's eyes widened when Xonos spoke to her. It was a good thing that she had fur, otherwise he'd probably see her blush. She turned away, as she pretended to notice something in the sand beside her paws. But she nervously got up and took a few strides closer to the group then sat down again. At least she was within speaking distance, now.
-
Melodiouspaw smiled near the back. "I'm Melodiouspaw," she mewed softly. She turned to the Heir and nodded politely. If they were going to go on a tour, Mel would tag along. Tours seemed pretty fun, and if they got bored between sights, she could talk about the botany that was around the clan.

(( Yeah, I kind of suck at titles. But to be fair to myself, this is my first day on my re-start of this site. :P ))
Melodiouspaw was studying a daisy as she made mental notes of its progress. The wild daisy needed water, because it was wilting. But there weren't any freshwater sources nearby, so she'd just have to find some moss and walk to the nearest source. She sighed, and got to work. As she headed back to camp to grab some moss, she got into thinking about the flower. She thought about it so hard that a bunch of the white flowers started to grow in her wake, but the calico didn't notice because she was too lost in thought.
-
Um... did I miss something important?
Why is Citypaw dying?
-
Melodiouspaw's eyes widened. A horse sounded huge to her! She glanced down at her own paws and wondered what it'd be like to have boney feet. Well, then it would be much harder for her to look at plants and stuff. It was a good thing she didn't have bones for feet, she decided.
-
Melodiouspaw was snapped out of her reverie by Grant. Huh? Her ears perked forward, instantly alert as the others spectated. What had Grant said?
"Witchcraft? No, I don't think so. Why..." she trailed off as she glanced behind her. Her eyes widened in shock as her jaw dropped open an inch. How was that possible? She wasn't walking on a trail of flowers before, so how had they appeared?
Had she done that herself? Maybe it was witchcraft, then. She turned back to Grant, as worry crossed her face. "Am I a witch? You guys wouldn't hate me if I was a witch, would you?" she whispered. Oh this was not good at all, the calico thought.
-
"No, I've got some," Melodiouspaw told Mayspeculator. She gave him two of the seeds in her paw -- it seemed like he was in quite a bit of pain, so he'd want more than one. She held the last one in her other paw, however. Poppy seeds were precious, and she didn't often find them while she searched for herbs. So losing even one was bad, as small as they were. She smiled encouragingly at Forestpaw, and motioned for him to eat the seeds.
-
Melodiouspaw blinked, and shied away from Sakuramelody. She seemed like she was agitated, and the calico didn't mean to offend her. Should she apologize or something?
"Um, I like learning about plants. It's kind of a hobby of mine. I know I'm not the medicine cat apprentice or anything, but I still think it's really fun to learn. Sorry," she murmured, as she watched them bind Grant's legs. If both of them knew what they were doing, Melodiouspaw didn't really feel needed. But she stood by, just in case.
-
Melodiouspaw was out on the beach as she inspected some shells that had washed up on the shore. There were pretty ones and not-so-pretty ones, but the apprentice liked to think that each one was unique and was special in some way. Maybe she should collect them or something.
She glanced up from her paws as her olive eyes scanned the horizons. Something floating in the water caught her eye, and she squinted in an attempt to see it better. Finally, when her eyes had focussed she saw that it was actually a body. She gasped in horror and turned around, and yelled in the loudest voice she could, "Help! There's a body in the water!"
Mel herself couldn't swim, so she just hoped that there was someone who could.

Melodiouspaw gasped when she saw Forestpaw take off. Oh, what if he was going to fall! That would be horrible! But luckily, he flew instead. The apprentice sighed in relief, and offered the tom a congratulatory smile. She wasn't usually one to talk if she could help it because her voice was small, and she was shy.

Melodiouspaw peeked at what Citypaw had. Woah, was that some more clothing? What was with everyone and those things, she wondered. Mel felt fine in her fur, so she had no urge to dress up in something on top of that.

Melodiouspaw wandered over. She wondered what they were doing, and she wanted to know. She blinked and glanced at the other cats, wondering why they needed seaweed. That stuff was slimy to the apprentice, but it could also be useful.
She contented herself with sitting down as she spectated to the side.

Wow so many cats with wings, now! Melodiouspaw blinked, as she glanced over the feathered things. She nodded to Mayspeculator, since she agreed with the heir. Any more than that would not be good, and it would knock her out.

Melodiouspaw's eyes widened. Woah, now that was crazy. They looked dangerous! The calico stood off to the side, and offered a smile nonetheless. It never hurt to be encouraging to a clanmate, even if they could puncture you with something on their head, now.

Melodiouspaw watched anxiously from the shore. When she realized that he may need medical assistance, she glanced back to her little hut and wondered if she should hurry back there and grab something from her measly supply. But first she'd make sure that he was still breathing and everything. That is, assuming Grant would bring Toast to the shore, which was where she was.]

((Yeah I know she's dead but Mel doesn't. ;) ))
Melodiouspaw moved towards the other two as they cried out over the body. She waddled over, unsure if she should be there, as she peered at the corpse. When she saw it was Citypaw, she felt her heart drop. The other she-cat looked dead, and death was something she couldn't help with.
-
Melodiouspaw watched the two sulking. She was saddened by Citypaw's death as well, but she hadn't been as close as those two were, especially with Winterbones being her mother. Still, drinking was never the solution to one's problems.
Shy at first, she approached the pair. In a quiet voice, she told them, "Drinking until you can't think straight won't bring her back, you know. And it doesn't fill the hole forever."

(( Oh my God I am so so SO sorry! I was in a summer camp and totally forgot all about this site! Please accept my most sincere apologies and it won't happen again. ))
Melodiouspaw blinked. What? She was a medicine cat apprentice now? A slow smile spread across her maw as she felt giddy. Wow! What an honour!
"Thank you," she mewed softly, as the leader dismissed the meeting.
