Eyes moved to Aslan, regarding the new skald with a smile and a slight nod. "With so few of us around to do upkeep for the Clan, some of the border markers need to be replaced desperately. Could you get on that for me, Aslan?" For a kid adopted by Kukiko, he had become quite fond of the child. He didn't want to give him something too difficult. And then there was the newcomer, the one who he hadn't yet gotten to catch the name of. He was glad that she was taking initiative and looking for a task. "Maybe you could hold some sort of training session? We do have a few more kids around as of late."

Zeppelin hadn't been too far off when the telepathic call came from Softvelvet, so it took relatively little time for the Viceroy to appear from the bamboo and pause beside the leader. He regarded the basket with a half interested look, invisible brow quirked. "Could have at least waited to greet one of us," he mumbled, not offering the emperor a glance. He knew he'd be endlessly grateful for the gifts regardless. "But they are quite nice. How thoughtful."

Joiners were a rarity at this point in the life of Valhalla. Hell, they always seemed to be, for the time that Zeppelin had been in the place. Every so often they'd get an influx of them, but they'd never stay. Or if they did stay, they hardly ever turned up. So every time he smelled a stranger at the border, he was filled with a sense of false hope. This one will be different. It probably wouldn't. But he disregarded that, letting white paws carry him to the border anyways. "You knocked?" he replied with the quirk of a brow in the direction of the kitsune. "This is Valhalla. What'a your name and business here, miss?"

Well, that certainly saved him the task of seeking out the Tribe himself to discuss their alliance.

The feline padded over to the border, following the scent of the Tribe until he found where it stopped. He was puzzled for a moment, but when he lowered his head and caught sight of the tiny body of the redback, he realized. "Afternoon, Hasseltii," greeted the King with a polite dip of his head, taking a few steps back so he wasn't looking too far down at her. "How is everything in the Tribe? We're going through a lot of changes over here, so I'm glad you came."

It was like life was being breathed back into Valhalla. Suddenly there was a pulse again. It wasn't just him and Aslan and occasionally Kukiko. There were actual people living here, not nameless faceless NPCs that simply obeyed his every beck and call without a word. It was so relieving to see people moving around with some degree of life flowing through them. Even if there weren't many here to take part in a battle training group, it sure as hell was better than nothing. "Thank you for setting this up, Amadeo. I respect your initiative," greeted the tabby as he padded over to him and his sibling. "You can count me in as well."

The death of Crystal was alarming to Zeppelin, since a Clan so small and so fragile could really not be left without a medic of some sort. Not when a single incident could wipe them all off the map. So the arrival of the twins was doubly helpful: there was someone to train and there was someone to heal. So it wasn't just him and Kukiko and a couple of children running everything. "That'd be lovely," replied the King as he padded over to Kai.

Zeppelin's tail flicked. Having someone around to do all the talking for him felt pretty good, actually. "Kei's right. We're in a bit of a transitional phase right now, but I'm sure it will all go smoothly," affirmed the ginger and white tabby. "And as for our alliance, I'm certainly glad to hear it. We've made a switch to neutrality instead of being an anti-clan as of late, so I was meaning to take visits to our allies and get things sorted. Balance is important to us right now, so if we're going to see a lot of you, then I will gladly get a new ambassador set up to visit the Bound Meadow as well."

The feline hummed in thought as more of his Clanmates approached him. "Kai and Amadeo, you've done a whole lot for me as of late, so I'm hesitant to burden you with something more, but... If you both want a task, then would you both be so kind as to put together some sort of Clanwide meet and greet? There's so many new faces around here lately, I think it might do us some good to get to know each other a little better." And then there was the second adopted child of Kukiko, and Zeppelin turned his gaze to him next. "And Takrona, could you put together some sort of game? Hide and seek, truth or dare, something fun for everyone."

Zeppelin nodded in agreement as he padded over to the newcomer and paused beside his co-leader. "Unfortunately, it's true. I know of Clans who have pulled off big ally events with some of their own allies being at each other's throats by enforcing a truce, but... It's true that the Ruins don't care for that level of civility most of the time." He figured Kukiko, an important Ruiner, would agree to that. "But I also haven't gotten the chance to head to the desert and ask about the state of our alliance. I'm fairly sure they'll remain allies due to Kukiko's presence here and there, but just to be sure. I need to visit most of our allies, it seems."

Well, better late than never, right?

Zeppelin had become so absorbed in Valhalla, again, that he had almost completely forgotten about the important ally event he had to put together for the end of February. Well, two or three days late wasn't so bad, now was it? It was better than him completely neglecting to finish the Valentine's Day party he had signed up to throw. So the feline had arranged lots of quick refreshments-- snack like things, easy to eat and talk at the same time-- around the throne room of the palace, and finally, he was going to follow through. "Dynasty! I'm holding a meet and greet with the Amalfi Heights. I find it very important to get to know our allies on a personal level, so I hope that lots of you attend." He cleared his throat. "I suppose I'll start. I'm Zeppelin Walker, the Viceroy of the Dark Dynasty as well as the High King of Valhalla. My mother is Admin Walker. I'm about four years old. Um-- my favorite color is orange, and my favorite season is summer. And the Dynasty is the Clan I've been a part of the longest."

//hi everyone! my main is singingmousai, but most of you probably know me better on discord as riley! I'm a high school student and I'm currently juggling a l o t of characters, but I love it! I'm going to major in illustration when I go to college, and I've always had a love for character design and writing, so ff is a perfect fit for me! I probably know most of you already, but it's nice to meet all of those I haven't met <3

The trip to Mount Kodiak had been a surprisingly pleasant one. Zeppelin admired the scenery as he walked along, and he got so lost in the nature that he almost didn't realize he had almost crossed into Amalfi territory until he was hit in the face by the scent markers along the border. Shaking the surprised look off his face, the Viceroy shook his head, cleared his throat, and lifted his gaze. "Amalfians! I come with an invitation from the Dark Dynasty. We're holding a meet and greet between our two Clans so that we can get better acquainted. I hope that many of you can come."

Zeppelin was never keen on the Exiles.

The Viceroy let out a quiet sigh as he watched Softvelvet approach the Exiler with a cordial look on his face and a brightness in his voice. Ugh. He didn't think he could ever like an Exiler. But he couldn't change the fact that they were allies and, even, Vel was one of them. Hell, he was an important one, too. Zeppelin tried to forget about this, or ignore it, and only worry about the persona the male put forth during his time in the bamboo forest. He wasn't going to dwell on the deeds he might do as a part of such a band of creatures. He silently padded over, expressionless, and paused a few paces behind Vel.

What had they done to deserve a ceremony?

Zeppelin was in power because Anko was too sick to rule and had given up power. Kukiko was in power because Zeppelin couldn't do it alone and she was one of the only other adults around at the time to help pull the place up from the ground. There was no golden ascension to the throne, no bloody coup, no drama forcing the abdication of Queen Anko. No, Zeppelin had just taken power, dragged Kukiko along for the ride, and gotten back to business as usual.

The surprise the male was feeling was evident on his face as he padded over to the festivities that Kai had planned. "My... This is very kind of you, Kai," he said, voice a little softer than it normally was. Maybe it was because of the flattery. "You didn't have to go to such lengths for little old us. But I certainly appreciate the thought-- this is lovely."

He leaves for a few hours and this is what happens?

Zeppelin had assumed Crystal to be dead within a few days of her disappearance. It only made sense. She was a healer, not a fighter, to his knowledge, so what could she do in the face of danger? Medicine could only get her so far, especially in a place so harsh as this. But it was the cries of Aslan and the sounds of struggle that finally brought Zeppelin to the scene, green eyes narrowed and claws unsheathed. He wasn't ready for what he was going to see.

The sickening taste of smoke filled the King's mouth and made him cough momentarily. He wasn't used to using his powers like this-- but this was different. This beast had taken Crystal and killed her, and now they were putting the life of his co-leader in danger. The look on his face faltered for just a moment as he watched poor Aslan have to be ushered away by Kai. His expression hardened. "Go with Kai, Aslan, he knows where to go," he said firmly before turning back to Lirim and Kukiko, locked in battle. The taste of smoke returned as it billowed out of the male's maw, and then in one swift motion he leaped forward, spitting flames from his mouth in the direction of Lirim in an attempt to burn them or at least disorient them further. When he had shut his mouth again, the King roared, "Where are you from, you beast?"
