Riley replying to their own post with a different character? Never. It was odd, hearing from the Copse every so often. Word had gotten to him slowly about the birth of his children with Champagne-- the fault of Deathdance taking his sweet time to get over to Valhalla. Maybe it was because he wasn't the biggest fan of the alliance and the way it was forged. Nonetheless, the feline found the Bard at the border and nodded to him. "We'll gladly be there, sir."

It seemed that not a lot of others had arrived at the meet and greet by the time Zeppelin had arrived. The scent of the Copse mixed only with that of the Veil, and the feline wondered just how many creatures from this Clan's sparse alliance list would show themselves. He wasn't too hopeful. "Thank you for the invite, Deathdance," he said with a polite dip of his head, watching as more Copsers began to slowly gather. "I'm Zeppelin Walker, the new High King of Valhalla. I trust that some of my Clanmates won't be too far behind me."

Zeppelin had no idea what the Copse looked like until he had arrived for the meet and greet. Unbeknownst to Dancer, the feline had arrived far before his return to the Copse, thanks to some help from one of his NPC Clanmates. While the place was still mostly devoid of activity, he paused at the border, thinking for a long moment. He had a lot to think about regarding the Copse, even if he didn't like thinking about it most of the time. He had gone behind Anko's back to arrange this whole thing, not even considering consulting her due to the state she was in at the time. And he and Champagne had actually managed to make it work. Champagne conceived, he carried the kits, and he gave birth to them. And Zeppelin wanted to see them, to say hello little one, I'm your father, to take in their tiny faces and vow to never let a single soul lay a claw on them.

It was an aggressive kind of love, and he didn't know what he had in store for him.

It was a bit disappointing, to be totally honest, to see this as the turnout for a meeting such as this. What was the point, even? What was he doing here when there were so few people for him to lead? Couldn't they all separate and simply find larger Clans to join? No. Shut up. You were appointed leader for a reason. At Kukiko's words, the tabby couldn't help but snort a little. "I'm honored to have been spared your wrath," he replied, the ghost of a smile crossing his maw. "And before you talk about a revolt, it might be better for us both to manage a better turnout than this to a meeting."

The name Walker repeating itself from someone else made the feline's ears swivel, glancing to the side to see Yuuki as the lupurca nudged him with a paw. He sometimes forgot that he still had some family around. Even his siblings had fallen off the map, it seemed. But Yuu was the one currently in charge of the family, so he figured that he'd run into him at some point in time. "Good to see you, Yuuki," he replied, though he had never really seen him before this moment in time. At the mention of him being the new leader of Valhalla, the feline had to use some restraint to suppress a scoff. Valhalla was dead. There was no one there for him to lead. "Might help for the place to have more than two people for me to lead, eh," he said, hiding his bitterness with a chuckle. It was him, Kukiko, and Aslan, and occasionally Crystal would pop her head back in. Other than that, though, no one. "But I'm not one to back down from a challenge."

Zeppelin's expression softened the slightest bit at the arrival of Champagne, listening with alert ears as he greeted him. The shakiness of his voice alerted him to the fact that something was wrong. Something was very wrong. When another creature arrived behind him, the one who had gone to Valhalla to introduce himself as the new leader, the High King cleared his throat. "It's nice to see you as well, Champagne," he replied slowly. "I'm sorry for not getting here sooner. One of your Clanmates had come to tell me about the kits, but Valhalla is going through some, um... Changes right now." As in Anko had stepped down and all of a sudden he was left to lead a dead Clan with little to no chance of revival.

Zeppelin had been dealing with a lot lately. From the birth of his children in the Copse, to the abdication of Anko in Valhalla, to the futile attempts to revive a dead Clan with no signs of life at all. So the male was quite tired when he reached the throne room, his fur groomed but his green eyes much duller than usual. He really needed to promote Kukiko to co-leader so he could get some goddamn rest.

Zeppelin nodded along slowly, grateful that there were no warnings this time around. If there were, he certainly would have been a recipient of one, due to his focus on Valhalla for a while. He'd have to talk with Vel about it in private, to see if there was some way he could juggle the two positions he held. He figured once he had a vice leader to hold down the fort while he was away, everything would be fine. So this was good. A relief, even.

Zeppelin was lucky enough to catch on to the last bits of what the stranger said, and in he veered to rescue Aslan from the awkward situation. He gave the boy a nod before lifting his head to Laslow. "Welcome, Laslow, you're welcome to stay as long as you like in Valhalla," greeted the King with a polite dip of his head.

Something dropped in Zeppelin. It might have been Champagne's words, or the way he held himself, or the way his face dropped to the ground. The way he said were. It sent a wave of dread over the feline as the idea slowly sunk into them. The kits were born. What had come of them since? Judging from the Copser's expression, as well as the morose one of the german shepherd who arrived, there was really only one answer t that. "Ah... I... See." His voice was slow, almost disjointed, as the reality of it hit him. If this was some sort of omen for their relationship, they were royally fucked.

Despite the sudden grief hitting him like a truck, the King found it in himself to give a quick shake of his head to clear his mind and put his diplomatic face on. He cleared his throat and replied, "Uh, yes, that's all there is to do right now, really... I'm in the process of convincing one of my Clanmates to become my co-leader." He couldn't wait to see the look on Kukiko's face when he told her. "It's very... Empty right now, over there. Not many signs of life."

The Tribe. How... Convenient. One of the Clans that Zeppelin was considering dropping in the very near future.

The King padded over slowly, keeping some distance behind his new Thane. This one was... Awfully tiny, dwarfed by even him, let alone the dragoness standing before her. He was silent, one brow quirked inquisitively, waiting for the visitor to speak again.

Well, what the hell. Someone was bound to show up, right?

"Valhalla, I want to have a chat about the current state of our alliances." Zeppelin was sitting on the meeting rock, eyes scanning over the place and hoping that someone was around to hear him. His tail thumped impatiently against the lichen-covered rock. "We are an anti-clan, or at least, that's what we are to the extent of my knowledge. So I have to ask, why are we allied with so many pro-leaning or straight up pro-clans? Seems pretty counterintuitive if you ask me." He hummed a little, lifting up his head. "But I want to hear from some of you first. So if anyone has anything to say with regard to who we're allied with, be it someone we should drop, or someone we should add up, or an approach we should take, speak now. If no one says anything, I'll be taking matters into my own hands."

As much as Zeppelin loved politics, it felt like it had been ages since he had been on an official political mission for either of the Clans he was a part of. He figured that he was going to be doing a lot of work when it came to shaping up Valhalla again, but for now, he needed to do something to remain active with the Dynasty. If it weren't for the Clan being slow as a whole, his position might have really ended up in jeopardy. Maybe it was because he was deputy, he had a little extra leeway.

Regardless of the circumstances, he was here. He had never visited the Heights before, but he had to admit it was quite beautiful (though he did also live in a marsh half the time). "Amalfians, I'm Zeppelin Walker from the Dark Dynasty, and I'm your new ambassador," announced the ginger and white feline. By his paws was a small basket of gifts-- the usual for the time of year, including medicinal herbs, some food, some drink (of the alcoholic variety), some blankets, et cetera. Nothing too exciting or personalized yet, since he barely knew anything about the place. That'd come in time.

Zeppelin dipped his head in greeting to the younger female as she arrived. "Thank you for such a kind welcome, Planetaryrevolution," he replied politely, green eyes surveying her for a moment as he watched her evident excitement. This one was the leader, no? She still seemed so young for such a role, but he figured it was admirable to have someone so young and full of enthusiasm in the role. "I appreciate the offer, but I think I'll be all set. The Dynasty is doing well right now, even if it is slower than usual. I do apologize for the lack of an ambassador for a while-- we're revamping our ambassador program right now and some slots still needed to be taken up."

The feline hummed in thought. "This is true. I've never seen us really doing anything like an anti-clan would. And I... Suppose we might be too small right now to really pull that off." He had to admit that Laslow had a point, even if he may not be good with politics. Zeppelin lived, breathed, and slept politics in the Dynasty for so long that he was beginning to get sick of it himself. "If we want to be neutral, though, we'll at least want loyal allies. I can't speak for the way they were when Anko was around, since I never really saw any ambassadors go out, but reciprocity is important. So if we go that route, we'll still have to weed out the ones less willing to play along."

Jeez, that was fast. Zeppelin really needed to get his shit together if he wanted to keep his job in this place. Dead as Valhalla was, he was going to have to find a way to juggle both that and his deputy duties here in the Dynasty. He hoped he'd be able to figure it all out in time. Well, he had to host weekly tasks today, so he supposed that there was that. The ginger and white feline approached the throne room quickly, finding a spot close to Vel's seat to settle himself.
