Jen blushed being caught “I was just thinking about this room” she said grinning “all the memories growing up” she followed him seeing the box of pictures. She gasped “oh my goodness” she gently took the box looking through them grinning seeing the younger versions of her and him tears lining her eyes.

Jennifer smiled at him and kissed his cheek softly before returning to the pictures. The laughed seeing them playing tag or birthday parties with those ridiculous cone hats their parents forced on them for pictures. There wasn’t any denying the looks in their eyes. The affection. He protected her just as much as she protected him. She took his hand gently squeezing “we were really close growing up... it just made sense” she teased “never got to see what a real girl was like” she smirked playfully.

Jennifer day down crisscrossed like she normally did. She continued to look through the photos of her and him and some of their family members. When she got to the point after he asked her out she grinned. Them making goofy faces, him hugging her from behind. She laughed softly at a picture of them play fighting cause she refused to give him a kiss “I guess it did end up pretty perfectly” she said softly.

Jennifer hummed softly in response to being kissed. Her blue eyes filled with sleep. She looked at him grinning as she sat up. Suddenly her stomach rolled “oh no” she said getting up and making her way to the bathroom. She barely closed the door before her hurled up her dinner from the night before. Mina trotted to her wedging his way through the barely closed door. Jennifer heard the concerned meow and pet the cats head “it’s ok Mina” she said heaving again.

Jen finally flushed the toilet her body finally relaxing as she rested herself against the wall “uhh my purse, it should be in your room, and yes water would be great” she said her voice slightly hoarse. She stood shakily and gripped the sink as Mina rubbed against her legs comfortingly purring at her making soft meow like noises. She turned on the faucet and cupped her hands under it taking some of the water swishing it around her mouth to get rid of the taste in her mouth.

Jennifer smiled at him gratefully both times. She took her things to brush her teeth scrubbing away the flavor of her morning sickness. She sipped the water and then shook her head “no sweetheart I’m fine, it’s just morning sickness” she shrugged. She knew this would pass she just wished it would pass soon she placed her things in her bag yawning “I have to drive the rest of my stuff to the house today and unpack. Want to go up there and help or do you have some school stuff?” She asked sipping the water.

She smiled “ok but we have to take my car cause it’s got all my things in it that I have to drop off” she informed. Mina huffed slightly and rubbed against Andrews legs meowing at him. Jennifer chuckled at the cats antics “he certainly like you.” She grinned

Jen smiled and hugged both parents tightly before loading Mina into the car who paced over the clothes in the bag excitedly. Despite being a cat he still loved being in the car. Len Ofer slid into the passenger seat with ease before putting the address into GPS

(Love it! It’s an awesome post)

Lila woke up to the grey light infiltrating her room. Regret filling her as she realized she hadn’t closed the curtains when she came off of the roof last night. Lila loved going up to the roof on her nights off. Looking at the stars and feeling the cool air on her skin. Give her a good book while she was up there and she was perfectly content. She finally sat up her curls falling to her mid back. She got out of bed and stumbled to the bathroom going through her typical morning routine. She washed her face and tamed her hair into a decent updo.

She walked through her family home in her PJs into the kitchen where a few staff members were milling around getting things ready for breakfast. Lila dodged people left and right a few scolding her saying she shouldn’t have been in there. She ignored them. She rather enjoyed playing around the kitchen, different ingredients, methods of cooking them, and it was the one place she could use a knife without hurting anybody. She looked in the large freezer and didn’t see any thing that caught her attention. She huffed and decided to go into town. Maybe grab a little breakfast and visit the stores. She hadn’t been shopping in a while and she needed she new jeans and shirts. Considering a lot of hers were ruined by Max. She jogged to her room where the large German Shepherd, Max, was sitting happily by her bed. She stopped to love on the big dog who happily greeted her. She smiled softly rubbing his ears before changing and running down the stairs of her large house and sliding into her truck.

She drove into town as a light drizzle started. She muttered a curse under her breath at not grabbing a jacket. She parked along a row of shopping plazas and ducked into a little dinner and into a booth.

Lila sighed as the warmth from the diner seeped into her skin chasing away the chill of the rain. She took a moment to look around the quaint diner. She looked outside as the drizzle slowly started becoming a steady rain chasing people inside the dinner, she glanced around towards the bar when she saw him. Her heart leapt onto her throat. Over time she had become rather infatuated with him. Developed feelings as she had gotten older. The first time she had seen him kill he had killed a criminal that was his MO. She had never seen a problem with it. Her ‘crew’ however had called it wrong. Telling her he didn’t get to decide people’s fate. She recalled the many encounters they had bantering with each other, fighting so gracefully it was almost like dancing in some cases he had even saved her. She always assumed it was cause he wanted to take her life himself after their last encounter she wasn’t so sure. She finally walked over to the waitress making sure to pass in his line of sight allowing him to see she was unarmed and not threatening him. It was a bold move but ever since he had let her live she had questions. She told the waitress she would be paying for his meal before placing an order for a drink and walking out to him “may I join you?” She asked as if greeting a friend not wanting to cause a scene. Her tone was genuine and as non threatening as she could make it. Her stance was relaxed and she even offered a smile “I just want to talk Nox” she said “no games, no tricks, just genuine questions” she said honestly. Her voice was low and decently covered by the buzz of conversation now filling the diner

Lila rolled eye eyes “stop you’re not a demon” she said her voice firm as is he had called himself ugly and not something worse. The waitress placed a drink in front of Lila and she nodded a very respectful thank you and asked for a menu. She looked at Nox “our last encounter you left me alive” she said bluntly before taking a drink of her beverage the carbonation burning her throat. Despite being underage Lila was an experienced drinker. Could probably drink half these men under the table and disarm the rest. She looked back at him “why? And don’t lie to me I know your feeding schedule. You know my parents made me memorize it.” She said firmly. Even for a hunter Lila was different. She never went directly for a kill but instead a disarm. She hated to kill and only did it if there was absolutely no other way which painted a large target on her person. Hence her parents making her learn feeding schedules, and constantly telling her that she would be killed if she didn’t changer her beliefs but Lila firmly believed there was a cure or some way that vampires and hunters could coexist without bloodshed.

Lila look at him sharply at the mention of her parents “yes” she said through her teeth. Despite her feelings towards the male her still was able to hit a nerve “They’re alive well and fully capable of handling their weapons” she said reigning in her temper before sipping her drink. She looked at him at the mention of being thanked and she chuckled “fancy yourself a hero now don’t you?” She asked playfully her eyebrows raised slightly. She looked around the bar a few males eyeing her. She rolled her eyes but heard the now overly chipper waitress’ voice ask if she was ready to order “bacon burger, Extra bacon and fries and whatever he would like” she handed her the menu “and for the men at the bar to mind their business” she said pointedly as a few men embarrassedly avoided her gaze.

Lila smirked at him calling out the men. A few huffed in response but had the common sense to look away and back down. The waitress stifled a laugh and went to put their order in and get Nox’s drink. After returning with his drink and a refill for Lila she filtered off to attend to her other duties with a promise to return. Lila looked at Nox with seriousness in her deep blue eyes “we both know you’ve been saving my rear on more than one occasion. You’ve never killed anyone who didn’t deserve it and yet my kind are doing nothing but slaughtering your kind left and right” she said lowly “it isn’t right, neither is what the vampires are doing killing the innocent” she said her voice firm but not placing blame she bit her lip debating her next words “what if there’s a way we can coexist together without the blood shed?” She asked “and you still haven’t answered my first question why you saved me.” She shrugged before sipping her drink.

Lila looked at Nox as he threw asides all her aspersions like she was a child. She wanted to strike him. She clenched her jaw as he continued to talk her skin flushed red and she clenched her fists. She looked at him “how can you be so arrogant?” She finally growled at him her blue eyes narrowed “you aren’t gods, you are made with a bite... I’ve never heard of gods being bitten by anything but karma.” She said heatedly “if you want to wallow and continue to think of yourself as a monster fine, but there has to be a way to end the bloodshed.” She said setting her drink down as the waitress came over with their food “sorry honey I’ve lost my appetite.” She said kindly changing from anger to immediately kind. She pulled out her wallet pulling up a generous sum “please keep the change you’ve been wonderful.” She smiled sliding off her seat “bye Nox...” she bit her lip wanting to say more but she nearly turned and strode out the door. rain poured like buckets but the rain felt good on her flushed skin. She began walking down the strip the thought of clothes shopping forgotten. She just began walking letting her feet guide her along the covered walk way her shoes becoming soaked and her pants too. She shivered the rain cooling her body quicker than expected.
