She offered a curt smile and slid in “thanks” she said forcing cheeriness. She bit her lip “I agreed to do this does NOT mean I have to be happy about it” she though bitterly crossing her arms over her chest.

An hour or two passed before a nurse came out “excuse me are you the man that brought Jessica Smith here?” She asked softly.

She rolled her eyes “you don’t want to do this seems like I care more about your image than you do” she said “you couldn’t even remember who I was till you looked at the name on my ID huh?” She said crossing her arms over her chest

She nodded “she’s fine as can be” she said “lucky you found her. The imagery on the side of her head was pretty nasty but the doctor was able to fix it. She’s asleep if you’d like to go to her room” she offered

She sighed softly the tension leaving her body “I’ll try. And sorry for getting you into this.” She said honestly letting her head fall against the seat. For a second her eyes looked glassy like she was going to cry. She blinked a couple times and it was gone

Per the nurses would Jess was in bed sleeping. Her face was mainly ok except for a large bruise and a gash that had stitches. She wore a hospital gown. Her wrists as small marks from whatever held her but other than that she looked ok.

She got out and looped her arm through his a soft smile instantly appearing. They walked to the restaurant and we seated. Tara looked around in wonder “this place is really beautiful” she said softly. Her soft green eyes filled with wonder as she looked at everything. The lighting was soft causing her skin to take a gentle glow. Like someone poured diamond dust on her skin.

Jess head the sound sounds of the hospital first. She struggled onopen her eyes which felt like sandpaper. Head head pounded less thankfully. She looked around she was startled to see Able with his head on her hospital bed until she recalled he had been the one to find her.

She smiled softly “if you say so. Why don’t you order for me?” She offered “like you said I’ve never been here you obviously have you’ll know what’s good.” She said. She smiled at him genuinely. She reached for his hand putting over his playing up the girlfriend card Incase there were any cameras around.

She smiled as tears welled up in her eyes “I’m fine now” she said softly as a few slid down her cheeks and she tried briskly wiping them away.

She blushed softly and was glad for the low lighting. She ducked her head “thank you, you clean up nicely as well” she admitted. She toyed with the end of her hair. Another one of the many things she did when she was nervous.

She took the tissue and was about to speak when he asked the question. She froze for a second before biting her lip and fiddling with her hands “I... I needed a break. I freaked out and just needed to go out.” She said softly “I was planning to go see my family and just get my head back on straight” she whimpered.

She felt tingles where he held her hand “yeah I guess I do” she chuckled a bit before sipping her wine “I don’t really notice I do them”

She nodded slowly “ok... thank you Able” she said. She fiddled with her fingers silently. She wanted to say more but she didn’t “sorry for worrying you” she finally said not looking at him.

She smiled and dug in as well she ate silently. She began looking around at the other patrons. Wondering how people possibly could sneak pictures in a place like this. She also started wondering how else this date was gonna go.

Her eyes got wide and she grabbed his hand “please don’t leave” she whimpered. She felt genuine fear about being alone without him.

She quirked an eyebrow “we shall see about that” she teased and took a bite “oh wow ok yeah that’s really good” she grinned

She nodded slowly her body shaking as she tried to calm down. She laid her head back “promise you won’t go?” She asked

She stuck her tongue out at him “I hope you get brain freeze” she said with mock anger

She nodded slowly as the trembling slowly stopped. She slowly fell asleep her breathing evening out
