She thought she was fine. Nothing happened when the previous leader found her at the scene. She told her story and nothing happened. So, she thought she was in the clear. Then her mentor calls her forward. Velvetpaw moves up and looks up at Duckstar. It was honestly a little embarssing to be called forward like this.
"The feline attacked me, I defended myself, and she died." she said, plain and simple. That was true. Of course, she knew the feline but that wasn't important. Deep down, she knew she didn't have to kill the feline but in a way she had to. They probably would have come back or killed her as soon as her back was turn. This was just how things were. Should she really be sorry? They tried to kill her after all. "I- I did what I had to."

Can Velvetpaw be changed to Velvetpelt and moved to warriors please
-
Velvet's returning back from inactivity!
I'm happy to be back in Windclan :)
-
ceremony type: (apprentice-warrior)
character name: Velvetpaw
additional information: Velvetpelt, traits = dedication & patience, took her an extra two moons to finish training because of her (killing that cat at the border) accident, but also taking awhile to adjust to clan customs
-
Velvetpaw had been rather useless. She made a mistake and before she could make up for it she got sick. Now, she was feeling much better this heat was another problem. But the heat took away from her heat. Hah. Funny. The apprentice made her way to the meeting. Knowing she would be made a warrior but was probably a mass disappointment to Duckstar. His apprentice. A murderer. Even if it was to defend herself... mostly. Velvetpaw looked to the leader and wated for things to get started. "" .

She is open to everything but death!
Interaction threads
Sparring
Talk of warrior code
Hunting or border patrols
Can take 1 apprentice

The she-cat made her way over, looking over her clan mates. A task was something to help the clan and be productive. Something she hadn't done in quite some time. Still, there was always a chance to improve and change. So she made her way over to get a task of her own. "Il'll take one." .

would it be possible to have velvet be a bit of a mentor to lavenderpaw? shes only a few moons from being a warrior but could do with some training? or they could be friends?
that sounds good to me! she would probably treat them more as a friend than an apprentice but is more than happy to teach them
-
apologises, i didnt see that velvet and lavender are basically the same age lol!! i think being friends would make more sense than apprentice/mentor lol! maybe they can just hang out together around camp? :)
no problems! Friends sound great! Who makes?

So much death. But she had grown use to it. Felines die weather they were ready to or not. Her mother died before her time, so did her father. At least, she assumed her dad was dead because that was easier than accepting that he left her. Velvetpaw's eyes close briefly, pretending to join this moment of silent. That was respect, right?
At the sound of her name, she opens her eyes once again. Stepping forward as she is addressed and asked an important question. The cost of her life? Velvetpaw was willing to die for her home but for her clan mates? She didn't know a lot of them very well. But being a warrior meant to die for them as well. So, she supposed she knew her answer. "Yes." with that, her mentor continued on. Getting a new name was a clan tradition she learned about early on. If she had been born here, her name would have been Velvetkit instead of just Velvet. But many Bloodclanners didn't carry on this fancy naming system.
Velvetpelt. The newly made warrior liked the sound of it, considering her pelt was indeed very soft. Though, she had never touched velvet herself. Dedication and patience. She guessed. Velvetpelt blinked out of her thoughts as Duckstar appeared in front of her. How could he be proud of a murderer? The she-cat manages to nod before stepping back to the crowd. Her eyes lifting up to his perch as he continues the meeting.
Naming another deputy. It must be a big honor to get such a rank. Considering it meant they would be the next leader if anything were to happen to the current. "Brightshine! Brightshine!"
-
She was assigned to lead a patrol. Which felt right for the newly made warrior. Velvetpelt left the area where tasks were being handed out and went towards the exit of camp. "Anyone care for a patrol to check out the damage of the farm? Also to catch whatever prey we can." the young she-cat asked. Her eyes looking around at her clan mates. It was very hot out but they still had to go on patrols. Though, she would rather be sleeping in the shade at the moment.
-
Velvetpelt watched as her clan mates gather around. She wondered how many of them were tired of this heat. The molly wished for rain or even a slight breeze would come by. She wasn't sure how much longer they could last with lack of prey. Her eyes look them over before giving a small nod. "Yup, my first patrol leading. I don't know much about the farm but I guess we are about to learn about it." she said, beginning to lead the way out of camp. Padding along the path towards the farm.
-
No problem! I can make soon and tag you in it :)

Velvetpelt came along just as her clan mates was going to get the leader. The she-cat looked over the Thunderclanners who were at their border. The apprentice tried to remember who exactly was in charge of Thunderclan but couldn't. She had spent most of her training getting use to clan life in general. It was hard to keep up with every clan. But maybe she would be able to do better now that she was a warrior. "I'm sure Duckstar will be here shortly. My name is Velvetpelt." .
-
Refusing to eat was just sad. Velvetpelt remembered the days where she was all on her own. Growing up around loners and rogues. She had days were she couldn't catch anything and had to steal from others in order to live. Clan life was very different from that. Warriors provided the clan and everyone did their best to keep everyone alive. It felt like just a dream at first, and it was proving to be so. Since the heat keeps the whole clan being well fed. That was life. Eat while you can before it's to late. But that was something best learned not taught in her mind. "If he doesn't want it, I'll talk it. I'm straving." .

LAVENDER
Curse this heat! Velvetpelt padded back into camp, panting. The she-cat was burning hot and wished for nothing but to be in a nice shaded forest. But Windclan was in open lands, which was horrible at the moment. The newly made warrior looked at the pretty much empty fresh-kill pile. Everyone was either gonna starve or die from the heat stroke. She refused to be one that dies. It was mouse-brain. Why didn't they just go beyond their lands to find more food and water? Velvetpelt sat down and looked around camp. How was everyone else doing? "" .
-
Those cursed tunnels. Velvetpelt remembered the flooding and when they fell on her clan mates moons ago. They weren't safe and use ones should be made instead of using the same ones that kept killing cats. But she knew everyone was more focused on the heat that tunnels were the coolest place in Windclan at the moment. Velvet quickly pads over, aiming to try and remove some of the dirt on the younger felines face. Trying to clear their eyes and nose. "" .
-
She watches as they make their way over. Giving them a small nod that it was okay. The heat was upsetting but Velvetpelt wasn't some grumpy she-cat. She enjoyed the company and honestly was looking for someone to talk to. Since her only friend up and became the leader. Now he was far to busy to goof off. Though, goofing off in this heat was a real downer. "Omen?" oh, right. The clan cats had this belief of Starclan. But that wasn't doing them very good at the moment. "Well, I refuse to become bones under this cursed sun. Maybe Windclan needs to find new lands." would anyone even consider leaving to find a new spot to live?
-
could they possibly make a private interaction thread, maybe starting with wes & velvet finding a lone rabbit and one of them goes after it too soon without realizing the other is stalking the same rabbit? This results in improvised team work and a good catch, which leads to them conversing and forming a friendship?
I love that! maybe they litterally run into reach other but quickly get it together to catch the rabbit?
-
"Test or not, we are dying." Velvetpelt said as she padded on over. Herself was now a skinny little thing from lack of prey. Her throat hurt from the lack of water. Starclan was nothing to her. The she-cat sure they were real in some way but it was up to the living to take their lives into their own paws. Would Windclan cats really be so stubborn as to stay here and die because of this Starclan. That was just sad.
"There's nothing here for us besides history. But that will mean nothing if we are all dead. I think we should send a patrol to look past our borders for new lands that have water and prey." she suggested.
