<blockquote>Yeah, I agree with Wolven, I like the idea of running but would one cat really be able to take on so many cats and succeed without powerplaying? :-/ That's the part that gets me with this plot; it just doesn't seem possible. And I don't mean to be sexist, but if you've got a she-cat escape the Elite, there's even less of a chance of it happening. She'd probably be more cunning, but if she was cornered there's no way she could take on a whole patrol of Elite; as a rule, females are weaker than males. So technically, I like the idea, I just don't see it actually happening.</blockquote>

OOC: Sorry Clover xD
<blockquote>Milkfur wasn't sure whether to take that as sarcasm or personal experience, but she felt a little embarrassed for bringing up the conversation at all. "Seriously! My mother might die this leaf-bare because she's so stubborn, and what am I supposed to do about it? I don't know how to warm up to an elder -- they always seem to snarl at me or what not if I try! Just tell me how I can get to the heart of a cat and persuade them to do something against their will!" She knew she sounded manipulative. She knew she sounded selfish. But she wanted to help her mother live for at least another season -- she wanted to go out and chase butterflies like a kit with her mother once more. Milkfur wasn't ready to give it up. Calming down a little, she murmured, "You've lived a long time, so I thought you might know... but apparently not. I'm sorry for bothering you, Mosseye."</blockquote>
-
<blockquote>Milkfur glanced at Pheonixtears. "No, I've never met Horntail. I suppose he's a not-so-stubborn elder?"
Glancing back to Mosseye, Milkfur gave a small shrug of her shoulders. "I suppose you're right, but I hardly ever boss her around. She's my mother! I just try to tell her that she needs catmint to get rid of the illness and she tells me that if StarClan wants her to live than she will keep roaming the forest." She glanced towards the elders den with a shaky sigh. "But it isn't StarClan that wants her to live, it's me. I don't want her to die."
At the thought of a practice for deputy, Milkfur's fur began to prickle. "A practice for deputy seems sort of harsh. We should at least wait for the patrol to return with any news that they have before we do something so drastic."</blockquote>

OOC: I think I just found Milkfur a new mate -- Horntail!
Just kidding xD<blockquote>Milkfur managed a purr of amusement. "Oh," she could hardly hide her amusement as Tigerpaw explained what Horntail was. "I might need to find this elder! The Clan could certainly use some comedy in this darkness."
But she nodded in agreement to Pheonixtears. "Yes, that was quite rude. But right now, we don't need Nightstar to strain himself to be worried for us! Leader or not, if he's injured we can get by on our own for a little period of time."</blockquote>

OOC: You should probably PM a mod, or read what was said to Mellie. OOC only posts aren't allowed in RP sections.
<blockquote>Milkfur purred. "Then I guess I'm never around when he makes a scene. Although, I think it would be quite fun to be around." She paused, realising that might sound a little wrong to some of the others. "I mean, I'm sure he's only kidding..."</blockquote>

<blockquote>Milkfur looked at the body with astonishment as Lynxfrost carried it in. "That's..." she stopped mid-sentence, eyes wide with shock. "Yellowtail!" She didn't bound over to the body, as she had never been close to the deputy. But... it was still the deputy, and it was alarming. Just before a war, ThunderClan ends up losing their deputy! Sure, another would be appointed before moonhigh, but they could have used Yellowtail's strength in the war! Bogus. "This is crazy..." she murmured, mostly to herself.</blockquote>

Hiro Nakamura; Heroes"For every being cursed with self awareness, there remains the unanswerable question, 'Who am I?' We struggle to find meaningful connections to one another; we are the caring friend, the loving father, the doting mother, the protected child. We fight and we love in the hope that somehow, together, we can understand our significance in the universe. But in the end, no one can share our burden. Each of us alone must ask the question, 'Who am I, what does it mean to be alive, and in the vast infinity of time, how do I matter?'"
Mohinder Suresh; Heroes"A child is born to innocence. A child is drawn towards good. Why, then, do so many among us go so horribly wrong? What makes some walk the path of darkness while others choose the light? Is it will, is it destiny? Can we ever hope to understand the force that shapes the soul? To fight evil one must know evil. One must journey back through time and find that fork in the road where heroes turn one way and villains turn another."
Mohinder Suresh; Heroes"On the sixth day, God created Man in His own image, now it's up to us to figure it all out. Right, wrong, good, evil... in each of us is the capacity to decide what drives our actions. So what is it, then, that makes some choose selflessness, the need to devote oneself to something greater, while others know only self-interest? Isolating themselves in a world of their own making? Some seek love, even if only unrequited, while others are driven by fear and betrayal. There are those who see their choices as dark proof of God's absence while others follow a path of noble destiny. But in the end, good, evil, right, or wrong... what we choose is never what we really need, for that is the ultimate cosmic joke, the real gift that God has left behind."
Gabriel 'Sylar' Gray; Heroes"You need to accept that I'm gone. You're going to have to carry on for the both of us, Pete. Okay? You tell mom that I love her. You take care of Claire. Fight the good fight. You've always been everything that's good in the world, Pete. And I got a feeling the world ain't seen nothing yet. You can do anything, Pete. Anything. Remember that. I love you."
Nathan Petrelli; Heroes"I asked to be extraordinary... and I promised to make the world a better place, so when I got my chance I lived up to my end of the bargain. For what? I'm running for my life, a lot of people are running for their lives; they're hurt and they're dying and I can't help them. Do You even care what You put people through? When they kneel here before You and ask for help, do You even listen/ And I'm tired of fighting and I'm angry. I'm angry at my father, Nathan, at my mother, at You. We had a deal... I think it's about time You lived up to Your end. Please just... show up."
Peter Petrelli; Heroes"Memories, you see, they are like a pack that you carry as you trek towards the future. This burden cannot be too heavy, nor can it be too light. If it is too heavy, it will weigh you down before you can reach your destination. If it is too light, you will reach your destination having gained nothing from the journey. But memories can brighten your journey if balanced at just the right weight. Stop along the way now and then... to look about and savour the view. A traveller grows from such a journey and spins the best memories from it."
Lady Mio; Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles"Now we can defeat the meteor parasite. At long last... the world will return to its proper course! Raem and I... will sleep for a time. But, worry not. As long as you spin memories, someday... we will be reborn. I want you to remember... remember me from time to time. O keepers of the crystal... thank you."
Lady Mio; Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles"Get busy living or get busy dying."
Andy Dufresne; Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption"I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice. Still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone. I guess I just miss my friend."
Ellis Boyd Redding; Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption"The most important things are always the hardest things to say. They are the things you get ashamed of because words diminish them -- words shrink things that seem limitless when they were in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out. But it's more than that, isn't it? The most important things lie too close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understand what you've said at all, or why thought it was so important that you almost cried while you were saying it. That's the worst, I think. When the secret stays locked within not for want of a teller, but for want of an understanding ear."
Gordon Lachance; The Body"I just wish... that I could go some place where nobody knows me."
Christopher Chambers; The Body"I was crazy, you know that, Pony? I was crazy for wanting Johnny to stay out of trouble. If he was smart, like me, he wouldn't be in this mess. If he was smart like me, he wouldn't have ran into that church, man. You better wise up Pony. You better wise up man. You get tough like me and you don't get hurt. You watch out for yourself, and nothing can touch you, man!"
Dallas Winston; The Outsiders"Yes, all new life... comes from the essence of stars... even all of you."
Princess Rosalina; Super Mario Galaxy"Do you hear the baby stars? These newborns will grow up to become galaxies someday. When stars die, they turn to stardust and scatter across the cosmos. Eventually, that stardust reforms to create a new star... and so the cycle of life continues. But the cycle never repeats itself in quite the same way."
Princess Rosalina; Super Mario Galaxy"People like you walk a path thinking something you desire is waiting for you. I walk to confirm there is nothing there."
Rau le Crueset; Mobile Suit Gundam Seed"When captured birds grow wiser, they try to open the cage with their beaks. They don't give up because they want to fly again."
Genma; Naruto"Every human being relies on and is bounded by his knowledge and experience to live. This is what we call 'reality'. However, knowledge and experience are ambiguous, thus reality can become illusion. Is it not possible to think that all human beings are living in their assumptions?"
Itachi Uchiha; Naruto"I awoke to find... just a life dirtied with enemy blood. I've been dishing out violence to anything that rubbed me the wrong way for as long as I remember. I'm satisfied with that, for I am overwhelmingly strong. Even unarmed, I'd never back off before any weapon, no matter how strange it may be. That was what defined me. Consequently, I've never felt fear nor honor. Never loved by anyone, never in love with anyone. I don't need that kind of thing. Any human is an enemy to me. If I died, there wouldn't be a single b*stard who'd shed a tear for me... obviously, I haven't paid attention to other people's feelings, and I think I'm kind of proud of it. Yet... at last I found it... the reason I brought her life with mine. I really hoped... that someone would cry over my death. With all my strength... I probably still wanted somebody to grieve when I was gone... I'm pretty stupid, too. Some timing, to perceive it on the verge of death..."
Bando; Elfen Lied"Oh, my dear boy. Don't you see? We are f*cking each other."
Kurt Dussander; Apt Pupil--EDIT: Done now :)

<blockquote>Milkfur was thankful when Silvercloud dr.aped the bough over the body. It had been so disgusting... so rude that any cat, rogue or not, could treat another cat in such a way. Sure, they may not have known it was the deputy, but it was still a cat. Milkfur gave Silvercloud an appreciative nod before she glanced back at Nightstar. "Take care of yourself, and don't try to do anything stupid -- you may be our leader, and we still respect you, but you're hurt, and you've got to respect that." she said in a soft voice before she bounded towards the warriors den.
She didn't want to be near the body anymore, covered or not.

<blockquote>Milkfur padded back into the warriors den, snow clumped on her white fur even though she made no move to rid of it. It was chilly outside, but some of the things she had seen while she was out were colder than the leaf-bare air. However, she noticed the two cats grooming and cast a quick glance around the den. Sleetstorm was gone... that was a blessing. Silentshadow, Emberlight, and Rockshore were the only three left; now she was there too. It was more than ideal; the warriors den actually seemed relaxed -- that was a first!
"Don't mind me," Milkfur flicked her tail as she padded to her nest and sat down licking the snow from her fur. It gave her mild brain-freeze, but she was thankful for the dream-like warmth that was in the den. She looked up to give Emberlight and Rockshore a quick glance, then let out a small purr. "You just keep doing what you're doing."</blockquote>

"Well, you would think that's what friends are for, but sometimes friends can only do so much. One of her Clanmates -- who had a crush on her for many moons -- pretended to be the father, even though he knew he wasn't. Still, I don't think Bluestar trusted any of the queens at the time to take her kits, and everyone knew they were hers... she had no choice but to get rid of them." Yellowslipper explained, not minding that Creamykit was so naive. She would learn as a kit... and she would grow wise through her years as a warrior. The elder was almost certain of it. "Back to the story, however, when Bluestar went to move her kits she found that Mosskit had stopped moving. Of course, she'd never been able to deal with grief and so she denied the fact that her kit was dead. She moved her to the next hollow, even though the scent of death hung around her and she was still and cold."

<blockquote>First, there's some powerplaying going on here:
{Last post on first page, first post on second page}
There's supposed to be a battle against two kittypet/loners and a Clan cat VS. a badger, however there's some unrealistic things happening now. Dragonfire is sort of powerplaying by having her kittypet/loner -- which I'd suspect doesn't have a lot of experience in fighting badgers, let alone anything else -- get the badger in the eye and manage to dodge the full-force of the blow that the badger inflicted. Silentshadow is also powerplaying because the badger crushed him and he 'somehow managed to push it off'; a badger is big and would have probably inflicted a large amout of damage from crushing a cat. Clan cat or not, I doubt he could push it off without the help of other cats -- most likely with battle experience.
Also, Silentshadow is roleplaying his character in two threads:
Sorry to be a pain in the rear-end and a tattle-tale, but the part with the powerplaying really got to me :-/ I was hoping for some sort of epic battle where they'd all come out injured or such since two of them don't have much experience...</blockquote>

OOC: Guys, you sorta powerplayed :-/
"It's... gone?" Abigail panted, padding to where Silentshadow and Droplet were as the large black and white creature waddled off into the woods. Her tail flicked and she brushed her paw over her face, as if grooming, although it was to show she was unnerved by the badgers sudden appearance. "Thank goodness -- that thing was huge. Although I never knew that battle could be so... exhilarating."
She turned to Silentshadow, her eyes wide with excitement. "You mentioned something about some sort of 'Clan' before, did you not?" Pride blossomed in her heart as she got images of Silentshadow leaping through the air as he attacked the badger, not even hesitating at the very beginning. Did he learn to fight like that in this so called 'Clan'? "Where did you learn to fight like that... and could you teach me?"

Cat's Name: Lutepaw
Cat's Age: 6 moons
Gender: She-Cat
Alliance: Riverclan
Position: Apprentice
Appearance: <blockquote>Lutepaw is a red and white she-cat with pale ginger fur on her back and head and a white belly, throat, muzzle, and paws. Her tail is ringed with ginger, although it's base fur color is white. She has pale blue eyes that look like the river when its calm. She's got short fur that is nearly water-proof due to her RiverClan genes. She's a small build with wiry muscles that give her good agility and make her strong in the water, however it lessens her ability to fight a strong powerful warrior with as much accuracy as she could with a lean warrior like herself.</blockquote>Personality: <blockquote>Lutepaw is quiet and doesn't talk a lot, but she isn't shy and can be outgoing if she needs to be. Even if she doesn't talk a lot, she can be sweet and is always concerned for the well being of RiverClan, a long with the other Clans. Still, she's a determined fighter and will give her life for her Clan at the drop of the word. She's got a fiery spirit if she's messed with, but most of the time she's as easy-going as the river in which she hunts in.</blockquote>History: <blockquote>As a kit, Lutepaw's mother was always there for her if she was needed, but she gave Lutepaw a lot of freedom; she was allowed to leave the nursery the day she opened her eyes. Her father was a loyal warrior to RiverClan, and was never too worried about Lutepaw breaking the rules. Even though it was tempting, Lutepaw never tried to sneak out of camp as a kit! She found fun in learning from the elders about RiverClan's history, and rough-housing with the other kits. Lutepaw's parents are still alive, but she doesn't often visit them now that she's an apprentice. She's too busy working her hardest to be the best she can be for the good of her Clan. </blockquote>Roleplay Sample: <blockquote></blockquote>Comments/Other: <blockquote>Lutepaw is based off of me, so if she seems a little odd... that's why. ^^</blockquote> -
<blockquote>Honeysuckle heard the cry -- he knew at once it was a kit. He may have lived quite awhile as a warrior, but he hardly got to be a father. That was the most likely reason for the sound of a distressed kit's cry being one of the only sounds he recognized so well. "That's a kit," he told Aussiepaw quietly, then turned to follow the sound, ears pricked while he searched for the young cat that was too young to be in StarClan.
Upon finding Angelkit, Honeysuckle quickened his pace to curl his golden-brown body around the small kit to give her warmth. She was obviously alone as he looked around, but all he saw was trees and undergrowth. "Hush, little one," he murmured, touching his nose to the kit's ear. "There's no need to cry. Are you alone up here, among the warriors of StarClan?" Honeysuckle desperately wished that the little kit wasn't alone, because no young kit should be sent to StarClan without a relative of somesort waiting to greet them.
However, as far as Honeysuckle could tell, he and Aussiepaw were alone with the kit.</blockquote>

Love: The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me, The Outsiders, Christine, Maximum Overdrive, Silence of the Lambs, Avatar, Titanic, Ghost, Dirty Dancing, Grease, Footloose, Flashdance, La Bamba, and The Buddy Holly Story
Hate: Firestarter, Grease 2, High School Musical (any), The Birds, and Poltergeist
Rainy ; a lot of King's movie adaptions did suck, but I've got a couple of suggestions: Stand By Me (based of the short story The Body from Different Seasons) and The Stand. The Stand was a mini-series, so it's about six hours long, but I've got it on DVD and I love it. The Langoliers wasn't bad, either, although they made the Langoliers totally fake; still, it was true to the story (from Four Past Midnight) and might be worth the watch. =)</blockquote>

<blockquote>Tigerkit, waking up and glancing at her sleeping brother, decided not to wake him. Her mother was also still asleep, although her mother was always troubled in her sleep, having dreams of something Tigerkit was too young to understand. The young tortoiseshell she-cat caught wind of Cruelkit's voice, "How you expect to catch prey when you're furs all dirty and smelly I'll never know." Turning her head to the sound of her voice, Tigerkit squirmed out of her nest and padded over to the other kits.
"You shouldn't be so hard on Abominablekit," Tigerkit said to Cruelkit, her ears flattening a little bit. Despite having to wrinkle her nose when she got close to Abominablekit, she didn't think it was right to tease her. She didn't have a nursing queen to sleep with until noon like most kits -- it wasn't right to pick on someone when they could be easily broken. Turning to Abominablekit, Tigerkit squeaked, "Are you alright? All you seem to do is watch other kits -- you're kind of like my brother. Is there something different about you, too?"
OOC: Sorry if Tigerkit's a bit... informal in how she addresses things. She often speaks without thinking -- she tries to do good, but... well, in the way she's asking if Abominablekit is different it's like asking if she's got defects. It's really good, considering how long The Stand really was xD I've seen it too many times to count (I have no life) but I really do suggest it to a King fan -- that is, if you've sat down and read the whole novel. The novel was amazing; I couldn't put it down so I finished in in about a week, give or take. :) But my favourite Stephen King novel was Christine -- loved that car! xD Anyway, I'll stop rambling now.
