    GENERAL INFO — *+:☽

    ( michael seraphinus )

    — male / he/him

    — age unknown / will not reveal true age

    — clan / former loner

    RELATIONSHIPS — *+:☽

    ( npc x npc )

    siblings: lucifer, raphael, gabriel

    — not in contact with siblings / had a falling out with lucifer & gabriel

    APPEARANCE — *+:☽

    ( winged lion )

    — michael is a lion with a broad and powerful physique. his body doesn't indicate grace or nimbleness, but pure, primitive power. his pelt is white—clean as a sinless soul, one might say—but far from unmarred. faint scars, nearly silvery in appearance, climb up his forelegs, as if raked by thorns. michael's most defining feature is his wings. large and feathered, as long as the trunk of his body, they are pale blue, matching his eyes in color.

    PERSONALITY — *+:☽

    — aloof with strangers, michael presents as a distant, reserved figure. to see his passion is to challenge him or his ideals: he does not anger easily, and strangers are more likely to think of him as a cool, stonehearted figure than one given to wild bursts of emotion.

    — michael cannot bear to be wrong; it is one of his worst traits. he is stubborn minded and mulish, and will not budge from his position. as one might imagine, this leads to strife between him and others, especially those who see his attitude as being holier-than-thou. it also means that he doesn't not forgive easily, but will bear a grudge for decades, and is unlikely to compromise.

    — michael has a very controlling nature, perhaps because he views his path as the best, and cannot bear to see others deviate from it. when he has influence over someone, michael will often try to bend him and her to his will, and push them to act in whatever manner he sees fit. he doesn't view this behavior as manipulative: the term would shock him, for all michael intends to do is help the other individual see the light.

    hey!

Gabe's story is pretty rough, wow.

While is wouldn't be what cause Lucifer to leave, I can definitely see a Mike have started a few of the arguments by being like, "you acting that way is why dad left, nag nag nag" /would that make sense?

also meri, do you have any idea about how long it was after lucifer and gabriel left that raphael left michael? like, soon after it happened, or more recently?

Ah, ok. Thanks! (Mike would definitely have taken advantage of Raf's nature if he'd stayed long; I don't think he'd even have realized.)

oof—I recognize Algernon's name. I don't think I played with him or Gabe, but I did stalk BlizzardClan for a bit a while ago. I was thinking of putting someone there

Poor Gabe, to lose Algernon on top of all that—I hope you have something nice planned for him soon!

    "You're just too intense, Mike."

He'd heard that almost his whole life. Not directly, in the beginning, but soft words weren't enough to sugarcoat the truth. The latest form the words had taken were just another way of restating what he'd always considered to be his greatest strength, and what many considered to be one of his worst flaws. The words rang in his head as he trekked across the soggy, rain-soaked ground, a mantra that repeated itself with every step he took.

    "Too controlling."

The first time he'd heard anything like that was soon after his family had torn itself apart. Father had disappeared, Lucifer and Gabriel leaving not long after. Raphael had stayed with him, but in the darkest moments of the night, Michael was sure that his younger brother blamed him for the split. He'd been a good son, obedient, subservient, and a loving brother, but none of that had mattered when he'd begun to snipe with Lucifer. That fact that he was only trying to do what was right, that as the oldest of them he had to know what was right, hadn't made a difference.

    "Sorry."

Despite the aching of his paws and the weariness that kept his wings sagged against his sides, Michael walked with his head up and his gaze proud. Regret, turmoil: they were both emotions he was unaccustomed to showing. He'd always maintained a regal, distant façade, although the crushing silence of the past few years, with all of his brothers gone, had nearly broken him. Alone wasn't something he was used to; he was not sure how anyone managed it, much less one such as him and his brothers, who had always relied on each other. He wasn't sure how he would continue to manage it.

Lifting his pale gaze to the cluster of floating islands, for the first time in too long, Michael had an inkling of what his next step was going to be.

Before he could make so much as a move closer to the islands, a pale sabertooth tiger approached him. Michael took her in, detached, and listened almost impassively as she began speaking. If the mention of his brothers threw him off, it was shown only in the briefest flicker of his blue eyes. This stranger could not know his brothers. At the very least, even if she did, how would she tie them to him? He'd certainly never met her before, although Michael would be the first to admit that his memory was short for those who didn't interest him.

The female was quick to name herself. Kady. That told him nothing. He waited patiently until she finished speaking, features remaining as bland as ever. When he finally did deign to address her, his words were brief. "Who are you?" It was classic Michael: direct and to the point, aloof even as he asked a question that would usually drip with curiosity. He didn't want any garbage about her name. His inquiry was more focused who she was to even claim that she knew his brothers. He wanted confirmation that she was credible.

    If his brothers were here...

But they were not. Michael had successfully avoided Lucifer and Gabriel for longer than he could count, and Raphael had in turn avoided him. He hadn't seen them and years, and he didn't want to see them. Lucifer was too arrogant to admit his wrongdoings, and Michael could not forgive unless he was the one approached. It was not in his nature to admit to being in the wrong: the very idea was preposterous.

And then, just because fate wanted to screw him over, Gabriel was there.

For the first time since he'd arrived on the border, Michael seemed flustered. The winged lion froze, pale gaze tracking his younger brother. "Gabriel." His voice was a whisper, so low that he was not sure if he'd even spoken out loud. He stared coolly at the off-white lion for a long moment before turning his attention back to Kady. So she'd been sincere. She'd said brothers. Who else was here? Raphael? No; it had to be Lucifer. Lucifer was the one who'd poisoned Gabriel against him the first place. Lucifer was the one who'd been the initial cause of their family breaking up.

Even now, Michael could not admit to his mistakes.

He drew in a breath and turned back to Gabriel, eyes roving over the younger lion's pelt. He looked so different, yet still so much the same. Finally, ignoring his brother's question, he demanded, "If you're here, is Lucifer also?"

It was Kady who answered him, not Gabriel. Michael shot her an incredulous look, as if to ask what she was doing answering when Gabriel stood right there. His disbelief only grew as she responded. Kady Keyper. Vice-leader of BlizzardClan. Perhaps most important of all, your brother's girlfriend. Gabriel's...girlfriend? That explained how she knew of him, anyway. Slowly, his expression morphed from surprised to calculating, and he eyed her with new respect. For better or for worse, she was involved in the family now. Did she have any idea what she'd walked into? What had Gabriel told her?

He took a few steps to the side, moving so that Kady no longer stood between him and Gabriel. Her importance might have risen in his eyes, but she was still only a distraction from the main thing here: his brother.

As he parted his lips, a rejoinder or response ready to break the accusing silence, Lucifer joined them. Once more, Michael stilled, eying the pink lion. "Luci." He swallowed the nickname, almost surprised to her it emanating from his maw. Once, he and Lucifer has possessed the closest of bonds. They were the two eldest, so close to each other. He could still remember, almost as a mockery, the fierce love he'd felt for the lion, but his love for their father had been stronger. When their father had disappeared, that love hadn't been enough to keep them from fighting.

That love couldn't keep cold fury from rising within him at the sight of the pinkish male. He ought to leave; to go elsewhere and pretend that he'd never run into his brothers. He ought to spread his wings and fly far from BlizzardClan and the two figures who he'd once loved so intensely. He ought to, but Michael could not, and he refocused on Lucifer almost immediately. "I was passing by. I didn't know you were here." And now that he knew, what? His path was usually clear-cut, but now Michael faced uncertainty. It was an uncomfortable experience, made all the worse by who was involved.

The young female who approached next walked with confidence and grace, but rather than think her elegant, Michael thought her presumptuous. Her arrogance in thinking that his intentions were on BlizzardClan, and in insinuating that he might want to join, when he hadn't even alluded to that possibility, was breathtaking. Of course, there was something to the idea of joining this rag-tag group, in spite of—or perhaps because of—the presence of his brothers. He swept a cool, disintegrated gaze over her, gaze hovering over her face just long enough to acknowledge that he had heard her. Then, returning his attention to Gabriel and Lucifer, he cocked his head, a smile teasing at his mouth. "Well? No response, brother?" Heaven knew that would be a first.

It was strange to watch Lucifer struggling to keep his temper in check. Luci had always been the more passionate one, the fire to Michael's ice. That much hadn't changed—and neither, apparently, had his willingness to use Gabriel like a pawn. Gabby would love it, would he? His gaze swiveled toward Gabriel who, of course, didn't argue. When was the last time he hadn't sided with Lucifer? Their pink brother had him thoroughly wrapped around his finger. No, he didn't argue, but he wasn't welcoming either. It was clear that he didn't want Michael to stay.

And what did Michael want? This wasn't the outcome he'd expected when he'd began his march toward the floating isles. Although he'd missed his brothers since their departure, what had happened couldn't be so easily erased. That would be to make it meaningless; that would be saying that they'd both been wrong. It would be a lie, and Michael abhorred such deception. Yet he sensed an opportunity here. History could not be undone, and he didn't think anything would ever change between him and Lucifer, but there was more here than that. There was Gabriel, for starters, whose biggest sin was following Lucifer like a sheep.

With uncharacteristic quickness, rather than the cool logic that usually dictated his course of action, he murmured, "In that case, I just might."

    WOLFSBANE

    OVERVIEW.

    Wolfsbane | male

    Wolfkit - Wolfsbane

23 moons (as of 5/10/19) | ages realistically on the 10 of every month

    WindClan -- Deputy

Born in RiverClan, grew up in a rogue group

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

Raised in a sexist polygamist cult that believed females should be mother/healers & males should be hunters/fighters

Does not remember that he was born in RiverClan: he believes he's been a rogue his whole life

Doesn't understand a lot of what clan cats take for granted

    RELATIONSHIPS.

Liverpool x Spottedfawn | raised by Liverpool, npc, and npc

Brother of Fawnfrost, Rosebrier, Moose, others | Adoptive brother of Coyote

    Father of Monarchpaw, Adderpaw

    Mentoring Olivepaw, Birchpaw

    APPEARANCE.

chocolate and white maine coon-persian mix

Wolfsbane is a Maine Coon/Persian mix, but in terms of appearance, he takes more after one side than the other. Towering above other cats his age due to his Maine Coon heritage, Wolfsbane has a solid, rectangular body shape. In color, he is a rich chocolate, with white spotting covering his underbody, chest, and front paws. Although his pelt is longhaired all around, his fur's length is most noticeable on the ruff that extends, mane-like, from his neck, and his long, heavily plumed tail. His ears are noticeably Persian-like, being small and untufted. Wolfsbane has round yellow eyes that are so pale as to almost appear colorless.

noticeable scars: Two long scars mark the bridge of Wolfsbane's nose, a marking all the males in his family possess. A large claw mark cuts across these scars in an effort to destroy their meaning. His shoulders are also heavily scarred from a fight he got into with a cat named Flint.

    PERSONALITY.

strategist, daddy issues, smug, needs to feel like he's in control, just wants to be loved

Wolfsbane views his father as the ideal of what a cat should be; considering how much his mothers drilled this into him, his view should come as no surprise. He spent his whole life learning about what makes a strong cat, and how his father is the perfect example of a male. He at once both idolizes and loathes his father: he idolizes him because he always learned to look up to him; he loathes him because he does not think he can be as good as him, and because he thinks his father took his mothers' love away from him.

Wolfsbane is a cold cat. He's a survivalist first and foremost, and will exploit any opportunity that comes his way. He will do someone a favor if, in the end, he gains from but, but he will just as easily cause someone harm if he thinks that he's more likely to gain that way. Although he'll take others' emotions into account, he'll only do so to the degree of how they might impact him: a lifetime of hardship has taught him that his survival and feelings matter more than anyone else's.

Deep down, one might expect to find a kind cat, but they'd be disappointed. Wolfsbane is just as hard inside as he is out. With an explosive tempter and a tendency to over-react if he feels he's being called weak, he is a hard cat to get along with. This becomes even more pronounced when his inherent sexism is taken into account: Wolf believes that males must be strong, stoic, and tough, and should make a career of hunting, fighting, and leading; women, he believes, ought to be gentle and soft, and should be interested in healing and raising young.

Hey! Wolfsbane here is my newest traditional character. He grew up as a loner in an abusive, cult-like group, where he was taught that males are hunters and fighters and females ought to remain home learning herbs and taking care of kits. He was raised to view his father, the "cult leader," as pretty much perfect. To better control his children, Wolfsbane's father, Liverpool, selected their mate(s)—the family practices polygamy—for them. Their mates were chosen from a rogue group with similar beliefs to the family; a group Liverpool was actually once a member of.

This is where your character comes in! The basic plot is that your character was once a member of the rogue cult group, and was chosen by Liverpool and the cult leader to be Wolfsbane's mate. However, after only a short period of time, she fled to one of the Clans. Recently, the family split apart, and Wolfsbane will be joining your character's Clan, giving her the surprise of a lifetime.

There are a few ways this could go, based on your character's background, her relationship with Wolfs, and why she left:

    • Your character was an injured loner/kittypet that the rogue group took in. She stayed with them out of gratitude, but never felt comfortable with their chauvinistic beliefs. Sensing an opportunity to escape when she was married off to Wolfs, she ran off as soon as she could.
    • Your character might have been born in the rogue group, but sensed that something was off. Although she'd known that she'd be married off to whomever the cult leader chose, she expected that she would love her mate. However, she didn't feel any sense of love toward Wolfs, and left to chase her dreams.
    • She might have genuinely loved Wolfsbane, but she was only one of his mates. Jealous about sharing her husband, she tried to convince Wolfs to leave with her, so that they could live together alone, but she refused. Heartbroken, she left.
    • No matter her background or feelings toward Wolfsbane, she might have been ready to stay with him—but then she discovered that she was pregnant. Wanting a better life for her kits, she ran away.
    • She was scared of Wolfsbane's father or family, and how messed up they are, and because of that decided to leave.
    • Mix and match! This is YOUR character: you can decide her background and what sort of relationship you'd like her to have had with Wolfsbane and his family.

Depending on their relationship and why she left, what happens when Wolfs joins her Clan can have different outcomes.

    • If they were in love, Wolfsbane would have left his family very soon after she did in order to stay with her; however, he only just found her or he's been with her for a while now.
    • If they didn't have a great relationship, he would only just have left his family, after one of his father's mates kills the other, and would only now reunite with your character.
    • If they loved each other, he'd still want to be with her. They can quickly fall back in love, but imagine the drama if she fell in love with someone else/has a new mate and a spicy love triangle pops up. She might love both him and the other cat, or only the other cat, but he still loves her.
    • If they didn't love each other, he might still try to become mates with her again, simply because his father told him that they would be mates, and he doesn't think she ought to have an opinion on the matter.
    • Again, we can work this out after your character is chosen.

The only requirements is that your character is biologically female and around his age (Wolfsbane is 18 moons). I'm planning to put Wolfs in either ShadowClan, WindClan, or DarkClan, but depending on what you want, we can change this. The only group I really don't want to put him in is ThunderClan, since I already have a character there.

You can glance through Wolf's (incomplete) bio [here] and his family's plotting thread, which includes info about them, [here].

    she looks amazing :)

I like that idea. Since at that point Wolfsbane's family had separated from the rest of the rogue group, I want to run the family taking her in past everyone else first, but it shouldn't be an issue.

Given the scenario, I imagine Wolfsbane would feel very betrayed by her. He wouldn't have left his family to follow her, and I imagine would have coincidently decided to join WindClan, not knowing that Poppy is there. I assume that they'd both have issues trusting each other, but he'd feel obligated to try/maybe even assume having her back is his right? I imagine she takes the lead a lot more now, since he'd actively be trying to win her over, and that might cause even more strain between them as he'd resent it?

How long do you imagine they were together/how long ago? I don't think it would have been very long, probably between 1-2 moons?
