The white tom was quickly relieved when two cats were quick to meet him at the border just like two had in DarkClan. With a small gulp the apprentice nods and opens his maw, trying to keep the sound of grief out of his voice.

"I caught wind in RiverClan, rumors you could say, that a apprentice named Diamondpaw has recently gone missing? I'm looking to see if this is true, it's my sister..." He began rather quietly. "My mother disappeared around the same time, I just went to DarkClan and they told me shes gone. So... I'm hoping that their names had gotten mixed up or something and shes still here, safe." He finished, his golden gaze looking at the two desperate for some good news.

    "I'm sorry."

    So? It was happening again.

Here was the updated list, first he lost Orchardbreeze, then Mosseyes, then Vinesplash, then Jewelpelt and now Diamondpaw. Not really knowing how to react, a small smile formed on his face along with a small chuckle. Losing it? Quite possibly. He had another chance at family, and it... was... gone.

The apprentice nods his head to the three cats before him. "Right... right... well that's okay." He said those words just to say it, really he wasn't even thinking when he spoke. Shaking his head to himself with a small grumble, the small smile that he had worn on his face as a mask vanished. "If she's not... found soon, please honor her with a vigil. Or at least... preserve the memory of her in some shape or form. Anything please." He murmured quietly, before he shook his head and began to back away.

"Thank you for your time." He meowed, before disappearing back into RiverClan territory. To be alone. To think.

"I have half-siblings?" He immediately spoke, disbelief at the edge of his tone. Perhaps family still was something Berylpaw could have... maybe... Though it was sad to hear that one of them had also been taken away with his mother, it didn't matter. He just- wanted to meet them.

"Can I meet them?" He would boldly ask, mostly prepared for a no but it was worth the risk. "I just want to know who my siblings are and then I'd be out of your fur."" He would try to add, how young were they? Did any of them look like him? Jewelpelt? How were they dealing with the loss?

Berylpaw shockingly enough had ended up approaching the scene, usually when he seen loners were already being dealt with admittedly he'd just continue on with what he was doing. But this cat at the border... was familiar. He recognized her. Never had he spoken to her but still, was SkyClan in need of something?

Curiously he'd pad to Gladefall's side, scanning Mudpaw up and down who appeared to be injured. "Mudpaw?... What are you doing here? Is SkyClan in need of help?" He would immediately ask despite the fact that the warrior he stood beside had already asked what her business was here. If SkyClan was in need of help Berylpaw would be ready tooth and claw to help them, admittedly some loyalty for his past clan still was there within him. He however understood he was RiverClan now.

"Butterflydawn." The young tom would greet as he stood up onto his paws. It... ugh StarClan it had been awhile since he had seen even a semi-familiar face. RiverClan was fine, especially with Heronpaw by his side but... perhaps he was homesick? He was so determined to be the best apprentice he could possibly be, everything was so different now. Especially now that he knew who his actual parents were.

"You too. I've missed SkyClan." He said with a small awkward smile, "But I'm... okay here. Especially since I have Heronpaw by my side, I guess its just difficult being away from the family I've known all my life." He sighed.

"How has SkyClan been? Quiet as ever? RiverClan and ThunderClan have been nothing but at each others throat and I'm about to pull my fur off. I'm so used to the peace and quiet honestly I'm not even sure if I remember how to unsheathe my claws." He would comment, slightly amused. But it was true, he was used to a quiet life. He couldn't keep up with RiverClan's fast pace nor their relationship with ThunderClan. Then... he still wasn't even sure if he had proven himself to them yet.

Had he even proven himself there to Heronpaw there yet? He hoped so. He hoped none of them would see him by the border either, he didn't want them to get the wrong idea.

RiverClan. It was still strange to call this place home, but waking up in their camp every morning was beginning to feel... normal. That was what he had been wanting and hoping for, right? What Berylpaw truly wanted was uncertain after a good majority of his biological kin just vanished out of no where, why did all of his family have to vanish and die all the time? He didn't know, but it was time to move on and get a hold on his life again. Of course, that meant talking to Heronpaw.

It had been awhile. Life seemed to constantly get in the way of everything he enjoyed doing so hopefully today he'd be able to just talk to the she-cat. Catch up maybe? He wasn't sure. So he'd walk over to the apprentices den, golden eyes looking around for her. "Heronpaw...? Are you around here somewhere? I figured if you're not busy we could sit and talk for awhile." He'd meow with a small nod to himself.

The white tom was relieved to spot Heronpaw sitting in her nest, he was glad he didn't have to flip every stone in camp to find her. Honestly, Berylpaw hadn't been doing a great job at... being there for Heronpaw which was one of the reasons why he was here today. He had neglected to be there when her mother returned from the so called dead and he wasn't even aware of her sisters pregnancy, or her snapping to Gladefall for that matter. No, Berylpaw had been to soaked up in his miserable life again. He had moved to RiverClan to be with Heronpaw, and to start over. He was going to be a better cat, for her.

And he was going to try and be there and at least get a basic understanding of whats been going on.

"Hey! I'm glad I found you so quick." He would purr, part of him immediately wanted to say I'm sorry for not being there for you recently, but they didn't need to start off on that type of note. He'd get there though. "Great, I'd love too as long as you'd be fine with it. I wouldn't mind getting out of camp myself so of course, is there anywhere specific you'd like to go?" He'd meow as he already began to pad out of the den, his golden eyes scanning around camp briefly before making his way to the exit. Pausing to back sure the she-cat was following him. "It's a nice day today..." He'd comment hopefully as he paused to look up into the sun, he wondered with all the trees in SkyClan if it was chillier there still.

"I'll tag along with you if you'd like." The large white apprentice would offer from a few paw-steps away, he kept vanishing from clan-life, so it was time to jump back into it again. Try to anyhow.

Oh yes, he had heard whispers of Springhawk, a she-cat who he had never spoken to exactly but he had seen her around, had kits. The large white tom always felt... awkward around the small bundles of fur. Like... what were you even supposed to say to them?

Anyways, he wanted to get more involved. He had spent nearly... by the stars was it really going on two moons now? Or had it been longer then that since he joined RiverClan? He wasn't sure, he had lost track of time. So... he'd awkwardly pad over to the kit who introduced himself as Ratkit.

"Uh- er, hello." He greeted as he shuffled his paws against the ground, something he tended to do when he was anxious or uncertain. "I'm Berylpaw. You're one of Springhawk's kits, right?" He asked, not wanting to confuse this tom for being someones kit when they weren't.

Whats a beryl? Oh gee, as a kit Berylpaw recalled he also wondered what the prefix of his name even was. Eventually some cat pointed out that beryl was the thing that hung from his necklace that his mother gave him, the answer had been right in front of him all along.

"Beryl? I think there's many different types of beryl, but its just a type of... gem? I think thats what it is. Its the thing hanging from my necklace though." He would explain, shuffling his paws once more before being taken back by the amount of questions the kit decided to ask him.

Was he that curious when he was a kit? Uhh, Beryl was just going to go ahead and try and reply to them all.

"No I haven't, too lousy of a hunter. Born here? No, I think I was born in DarkClan- but uh, I had family issues so as a young kit I was dropped off in SkyClan. I consider them my birth clan though. Favorite hobby? Uh... I don't know. Does eating count?" He'd muse with a small purr.

Best friend? He didn't know if he had any friends, sad really. "Heronpaw is my best friend." He'd meow, the closest he had to a best friend anyhow. Admittedly... he didn't know many cats in RiverClan, perhaps that would change soon.

"Blue or yellow." He had taken a moment to think about it, but he was a little relieved when that seemed to be the last question the kit would ask. "You're a curious one, aren't you?" He mused with a gentle flick of his tail.

"I'm sure she is. I'm sure she's glad your out of her tail for once and bombarding someone else with a million questions." He would continue with a teasing tone as he sat down with a small yawns. "Now it's my turn to ask a ton of questions. Er... what's your favorite color? Is there anyone within the clan you want to be your mentor when you're older?"

    "speech."

Berylpaw would turn his yellow gaze over to Ratkit, amusement sparked in the white toms eyes. Was the kit always like this? Either way, it was nice to see someone within the camp who was joyful and happy. Figuring the kit would forget completely about his request by the time the patrol would return Berylpaw would pad over to the kit and nod with a small smile.

"I can try to get you something while we're out. I can't promise a snake, but I can try. Either way I'll find you something, okay bud?" He would tell Ratkit, attempting to place the tip of his tail gently on the kits shoulder before watching Sleekstrike begin to pad off. With a huff he was quick to follow pursuit after the warrior, curious on where they'd be heading.

"So... where do you plan on taking us to hunt?" He didn't actually care honestly, he just didn't want this patrol to be filled with nothing but awkward silence the whole time.

It hadn't been too long ago since he heard about Heronpaw's mother coming back from the dead, thats the way he liked to put it at least. It had been a long while since Berylpaw had heard the so called news of her mother passing away, the same day Heronpaw admitted to him that she was in love with him. The same day Berylpaw told her he loved her back.

The same day he declared he'd join RiverClan.

He had spoken to Heronpaw briefly about her mothers return, it wasn't that the she-cat wasn't happy her mother was alive, but he understood how she felt. She felt betrayed it seemed, and Berylpaw in her paws would have too. But because Kestrelsong's return in a sense was the source of Heronpaw's... unhappiness? It caused Berylpaw to feel some sort of anger when he thought about the she-cat. Today however he decided to put it behind him, he wanted to meet her, get to know her, get involved with the family. Heronpaw wouldn't be upset forever, if she even was still upset still, he was positive the calico would want the white tom to get to know her mother anyhow.

So eventually once he spotted her in camp he mustered up the courage to pad up to her with a small dip of his head.

"Kestrelsong... right?" He asked, his tone friendly. "I'm Berylpaw! You might have heard of me from Heronpaw a little bit? While you were away I joined RiverClan for a bit, it's unfortunate we didn't get to meet sooner but nonetheless I'm grateful that we get to meet now." Uh... was that too much? Did he sound like a push over? Well maybe he was being one, truly, he wanted Kestrelsong to like him. He was hoping the feline wouldn't take one good look at him and think 'that's the tom my daughter likes? she could've done way better' or something along the sort.

Which wouldn't be too far from the truth, Heronpaw could absolutely do way better then him but Berylpaw was grateful the she-cat was giving him a chance. A chance he wouldn't ruin.

"How has your return to RiverClan been faring for you?"

// kestrelsong ~ Oh gee I hope this is okay! <3 Sorry for any typos or grammar mistakes.

Honestly, after his talk with Ratkit, Berylpaw was actually beginning to think... you know what? Kits are adorable. At least until they became apprentices and began to think they were better then everyone else because they had 'paw' at the end of their name. Hmph. Anyways, it didn't take him long to spot another Springhawk spawn, he had absolutely zero ideas on who this she-kit was. So- he was going to speak to her.

"Hey there, you." He'd begin, not knowing the kits name as he padded over to her. "I'm Berylpaw, you are...?" He'd ask curiously.
