    Even when he had been in SkyClan before he had moved to RiverClan to be with Heronswoop the white warrior hadn't been fond of BloodClan. He remembered being a child when they took shelter in SkyClan's camp and he had thought they had been pretty cool then- but when he grew up and actually opened his eyes to the shit they had done, the shit they were doing he couldn't help but be angered at them. Not to mention- his disliking for them only grew stronger when he was in RiverClan. He wasn't going to go over why to himself though again, he didn't like this clan but he wasn't here for trouble and he was sure Mothpaw wasn't with him for that either. They needed to mark of the borders and then get out of hear, but from what he heard on border patrols to this place BloodClan always seemed to pool on over to the border which was why Lavenderskies hadn't wanted to lead this. Didn't blame her... He didn't think anyone within the clan wanted to be here.

    With a small grunt to himself he pauses a few paw-steps away from the border and glances back at Mothpaw, "Lets just do this as quickly as possible and leave. I don't want to have to engage in much conversation with these guys." He murmurs quietly before her turns to brush himself up against a nearby tree. His bright golden eyes then pierced into the concrete jungle before him... He couldn't believe if his mother had stayed a kittypet not only would he be trapped inside a twoleg den all day but he'd also be living in that hellhole. Amazing. He'd always prefer the trees and the river over such a place, a shiver ran down his spine.

    And as he had been warned it didn't take long at all for a BloodClanner to make an appearance, but definitely not one he was expecting. Before him across the border stood a child, a kit, he was taken aback at first before he reminds himself that BloodClan allows such things as allowing kits to run free throughout their territory. Never in a million years would Berylbreeze allow his children to leave camp until they were six moons old, and even then he'd be hesitant on having them leave without a mentor. Rather hypocritical considering as an apprentice he was constantly leaving SkyClan territory and trespassing into other clans territories.

    But hey- thats how he met Heronswoop so he got a pass.

    He remains quiet for a moment before he finally opens his maw, "Just marking the borders. That's all." The snowy furred male replied back with a small shrug of his shoulders, and thats when another BloodClan cat arrived, Caledon. He had heard of him but the only reason he was able to recognize what he looked like was because he had seen him when BloodClan had taken shelter within SkyClan. That felt like ages ago... but in reality it really was only last leaf-bare- or was it leaf-fall? Couldn't remember. "Greetings." He replies back in return, ah SkyClan? How they were doing? Splendid really if you thought having a leader recovering from dying and badgers invading the orchard fun. He wasn't about to tell them though that they were struggling a bit, "Yeah we're doing alright. Minnowstar is recovering well too and she should be back to normal I would think." At least he thought so, really he hadn't spoken to the small legged leader much recently nor seen her around. But then he remembered- had the rest of BloodClan even been told that a BloodClanner had decided to put their claws against the flesh of a SkyClanner and take a life? Well if there was any confusion or further question on the matter he would find out. "And BloodClan? How are you all doing?"

    "SkyClan!" The large maine coon's call can be heard throughout camp as he pads over to the center of the small clearing. His beryl necklace glimmers slightly in the sunlight and his bright golden gaze is wide, the tom was semi-anxious for this patrol. They were going to be checking out the orchard and seeing how the badger population was doing, he hadn't even dared to look himself recently... Admittedly he was a tad bit fearful that... well the numbers would be concerning. He really did hope the badgers would leave on their own but there was a strange feeling in his gut that told him he'd have to fight. Fighting meant there would be bloodshed, not just for badgers, but cats too. Hell, lives could even be taken by the huge black and white creatures. He just hoped StarClan would bless them with a miracle and they wouldn't find a mass of badgers awaiting them at the orchard. "Going to be checking out the orchard so we can decide whether to fight back or wait in hopes of the creatures leaving, if you'd wish to join me please come see me! We'll be leaving in just a few moments."

    "Breezepaw." The low call escaped from the maw of the large white feline as his golden daggers landed on the apprentice. Once upon a time a few moons ago, young Beryl had been an apprentice himself. While he was in SkyClan he had been an extremely lousy one, getting into trouble and ignoring his mentor's orders. Not to mention... he left SkyClan territory and trespassed into other clans all of the time which was how he met Heronswoop. Honestly Beryl as a younger cat never seen himself living to be a decent warrior- let alone a warrior responsible enough to have an apprentice. At first he was reluctant but eventually after being talked into it he had agreed to take the feline under his wing. He just hoped he wouldn't let the girl down.

    "Sleep well?" He asks with a small tilt of his head, ever since his children had left the nursery and moved to the apprentice den he had been... anxious. He just feared something bad would happen, especially with the badgers about. But he had to keep telling himself that they had mentors and their mentors would keep a watchful eye on them.

    Still...

    "I'm ready to head out though, why don't we go and practice up on our border patrol skills? The RiverClan border should be checked up on- and we can chit-chat and what not on the way. Unless there is something else you'd like to touch up on?" Berylbreeze asks with a gentle flick of his tail.

    Pain wasn't something the snow white tom was acquainted with. Maybe aside from getting a thorn in his paw pad and a scratch here and there. But real pain? Pain strong enough to make a grown cat cry out loud? Considering most cats seemed to find themselves injured badly enough to gain their first scar as an apprentice it was safe to say Berylbreeze had been pretty lucky not to not have any scars imprinted on his body yet, but today that would change. He'd be in the wrong place at the wrong time, the orchard. He had been stupid to go alone, but he had figured a small peak to see what was up wouldn't hurt anything. Well, he had been wrong. He had been greeted nearby the orchard with a large black paw giving him a slap in the face he'd never forget, pain surged down his face and the damn badger even managed to give his left eye a good scratch. He fought back of course but- considering the amount of pain that was surging through his face and the amount of shock that had hit him the badger easily ended up giving Beryl a few more cuts and bruises, and not really in the mood to you know- potentially get killed by the beast he fled.

    Eventually to his relief he made it back to camp with a small limp after awhile. He was- well a mess. His fur was tangled, small scratches covered his body and to Berylbreeze's dismay his poor handsome face had a few deep gruesome gashes running down it. He couldn't even open his scratched eye. With bared teeth he calls out, "Somebody for StarClan's sake- help. My face feels like its going to fall off!" He complains with a wince, damn even the slightest movement made his wounds flare up. At least maybe this would make him look a bit more intimidating eh? He can't help though but glance around for Heronswoop and his children- he didn't want them to see him all beaten up. Especially the children, the last thing he wanted was to scare them or something...

    //lame post but the boy got beaten up lmao.

    A ton of minor scratches are scattered over his body but the biggest thing is that his face has three pretty big gash marks running down it and his eye was scratched. He'll either be partially blind out of said eye or totally blind I haven't decided. <3

    And of course- to exactly the opposite of what he was hoping for before he knew it with his one non-scratched-the-shit-outta golden eye his gaze lands on Heronswoop. A frown is displayed on his maw and he begins to slowly limp over only stopping in his tracks when the two are standing by each other. His lips curl in a snarl, "Badgers... I figured the orchard needed to be checked up on, I didn't even get that close to it but before I could even spot it the brute slashed my face. The rest of the story I'm sure is... well self-explanatory." Maybe he had fucked up? Maybe it had been plan stupid to check out the area alone, or perhaps the badgers were just growing more hostile to anyone in the relative area of the place. He didn't know... but one thing he did know is that SkyClan needed to take action. They needed to drive the badgers out. He swore if it got much worse he was making sure Kestrelpaw and Charcoalpaw stayed well within camp, hell Heronswoop too. He was done and tired of losing cats dear to him.

    His claws dig into the ground for a brief moment, anger surging through him. He had always had anger issues... just that with age he had learned to conceal them a bit more. Which in a sense wasn't good either, allowing everything to build up only for him to eventually explode wasn't good. He had to bite his tongue to make sure he didn't start screaming and hollering about how action needed to be taken on the black and white creatures now.

    Though he's snapped out of it when Heronswoop gives him a small reassuring look, if any cat could calm Berylbreeze down really by doing nothing at all but existing it was her. With a small sigh, he nods and allows himself to lean against his mate. Admittedly, having some support relieved him of some aches. He begins to limp along but as he is doing so he spots Breezepaw in the distance. Damn, another cat who didn't need to see him like this... Still as they passed by he gave her a small painful smile.

    //retro to injury

    His beryl necklace swayed against his chest as a cool breeze blew in against him while he walked toward the apprentices, and er- Wolfwing. His gaze flickers over to the frog that Littlepaw found and the thing that everyone seemed to be gushing over. He snorts, Hoppaw? Why would you want to name a frog? He heard ShadowClan cats ate these things... maybe Butterflydawn would like it? Hell he wasn't against trying it to be perfectly honest. "Ah, neat. Frogs aren't the most prettiest creatures to be honest..." He comments with a sharp flick of his bushy tail. He then glances at Wolfwing, "Oh dear god, don't give them the idea. How would you even take care of the thing? I don't think they exactly eat the same things we'd do, its better off scurrying away alone. But... ShadowClan cats eat frogs, I'm sure if once you are all done gawking at it you could give it to Butterflydawn. He use to be from there, I'm sure he'd love it." The warrior didn't see anything wrong with the suggestion, it would feed a belly in the clan and that was important to him.

    It was safe to say... the two had lost a lot. No- everything. At one point at least.

    First it was dad. Then it was mom. Then Roosterpaw vanished and shortly after so did Vinesplash. Berylbreeze left as he had fallen in love, leaving Buckwheat and not being there for his final days. Leaving Boapaw to grieve for their loss kin all alone. He had tried to get time away to visit, tried, but it had never happened. It was safe to say he was... glad he was back in SkyClan so he could be with his dear sister. The two admittedly hadn't spoken much but it was mostly due to them being busy and wrapped up with their own things, Berylbreeze was a father now and Boapaw still had training. But today- dammit whether she liked it or not they were hanging out. Bonding. Making up for loss time.

    "Boapaw! You mouse-brain!" He calls out near the apprentice den with a loud purr, his beryl necklace shimmering in the sunlight. "You around here? Lets go for a walk! Act like we're still children for awhile or something, maybe we can even take a walk to fourtrees? I dunno! Something! It'll be fun, we gotta. I gotta get out of camp too before my children drive me insane."

    // BOASKIES-

            "Hey- dad number two." The low amused call escapes the maw of Berylbreeze as he pads over to Butterflydawn, who he was assuming was near the nursery. They had been seeing a lot of each other, considering they both had children in the nest but now Kestrelpaw and Charcoalpaw were in the apprentice den which meant his ass was back to the warriors den instead of snuggling up with Heronswoop in the nursery. No big deal though he supposed, the warriors den was only really flooded with the obnoxious snoring of sleeping felines. No big deal. He totally got plenty of shut eye. Haha. Anyways, today he figured why not talk about dad stuff since his children were nearly always on his mind? He was either always gushing to himself about how darn cute they were or worrying himself to death about what might happen while they are out of camp or if their mentors are being too harsh on them. Truly he was beginning to fear he was his worst nightmare as a kit, a helicopter parent. Oh dear god no.

    "Why is it so... hard being a dad? I don't think I've stopped worrying since the moment I heard about the buggers existence." He muses gently, "I mean- I don't think I've ever lost so much fur in my life! My white tufts of fur are literally rolling around camp like tumbleweeds! God honestly I'm about to begin to pull my own fur out. I'm so worried about the stupidest things... most of them are just 'what ifs'."

    omgggg sorry for flooding the board with private threads. Bunch of public ones will be out tomorrow I swear. <3<3 Also I think I'm gonna wrap up the badger plot soon? Idk i feel like its pretty stale and maybe thats my fault but- I have a big clan-wide plot idea in mind that I'll share in a few days to get opinions on. *eyes emoji*

    Also if anyone wants any threads with Beryl or Lav hmu! I have some big muse kinda rn.

    As he limped over he'd give Brookfur a brief strange look at her gesture, huh? He could barely see, his vision was blurred and aside from that his pain was enough to make him block out voices let alone gestures. Though eventually he gets the hint and slowly sits down trying his best to avoid irritating his wounds anymore then they already were, though he lets out a small snarl once he is seated as pain flares up again. "There is no way in oblivion that my children are leaving camp until this badger mess is sorted out." He grumbles with a sharp flick of his tail, "I'm a fully trained warrior and that thing could have easily killed me if it had been faster... I refuse to see any SkyClanner return back dead because of them! We need to act now or before we know it they'll be swarming camp."

    Ugh... his face burned!

    He looks at Brookfur with a single golden eye before opening his maw again, "Give me something to numb the pain, for StarClan's sake I feel like I'm on fire!" He grunts in clear pain as he gives another sharp lash of his tail.

    Though before anyone else could reply to him, Juniperpaw approached the scene though at his words Berylbreeze greeted the apprentice with a harsh glare. What the hell? He knew the apprentice was know for coming off as a bit of an ass but the abrupt insult was a bit uncalled for. He lashed his tail harshly to the side, "Watch your tongue, Juniperpaw." He gives a low growl before narrowing his eyes. Naming it or not feeding the clan was more important then making friends with frogs, if it fed someone it fed someone. It was practically free prey, this was something they would dream of happening during mid leaf-bare. "If it fills a stomach why the hell not?" Really he didn't get it. He wouldn't force the apprentices to kill it and feed it to someone but he sure thought that it'd be a smart move. Letting any type of food go by wouldn't be something they'd be able to do in the next few moons. But hey, maybe these apprentices didn't realize that.

    "If you seriously let the frog go I hope to at least see you on the next hunting patrol. Fresh-kill pile was getting low today anyways last time I checked." He then meows with a small shrug. He thought it was fair to compensate for prey that was literally at their paws.

            "Well with the amount of pain I'm having flaring up all over my body I may just have to." He grumbles in response to Juniperpaw, honestly mouthing down a whole bunch of pain killers sounded rather tempting... Sure he'd realistically probably die but Beryl was an idiot when he was angry and annoyed. Which- is exactly what he was right now. Really if he knew better then to bite his tongue at some comments he'd probably begin to say some really mean shit pretty soon. He lets out a small groan and allows his claws to sink into the bedding below him, his eye- his eye, "MY EYE- MY EYE." Dammit, the badger must have gotten it good huh? His whole entire face just burned and honestly he was afraid if he opened up his scratched eye it would fall out or some shit. Though as he heard Heronswoop's voice his ears folded back and he went quiet with a small sigh, his ear gave a gentle flick at her lick before he nods. "I'm trying... I'm trying." He murmurs quietly, he just hoped whatever Brookfur planned on giving him would work its magic fast, because if he had to deal with this for much longer he was going to blow.

            "Yo." Berylbreeze walks toward the scene with a purr- he was kinda late to the party but he wanted to feel... useful. So if Heronswoop had anything to give him he'd be more then happy to take it. "Serve me up a task please if you can? I've got a bunch of free time on my paws so might as well use it to help out around here."

    //retro to injury c:

    As he awaits for the tom to begin talking the large warrior decides to take a seat down, wrapping his tail around his paws and allowing his ears to perk up a bit more as Butterflydawn begins to talk. "I don't know if I remember Orchardbreeze or you guys fretting over me so much? Unless you all were just really damn good at hiding it." He says with a small snort, really the tom had probably just been too busy trying to sneak out of camp and ignore their desperate pleas to behave. Damn now he was a paranoid father and would probably quite literally die of a heart attack if he spotted any of his children outside of camp or doing something remotely dangerous. He'd probably sentence them to a life in camp if he found them trespassing or trying to hide away from their mentors.

    Huh.

    "Yeah and I hope they're enjoying it, because if it keeps falling out like this I'm going to be bright pink by leaf-bare. And dear god I do not want the amount of fat I'm carrying around with be to be exposed." The tom purrs with slight amusement, "If I find them doing anything dangerous they better know they are going to get a good talking to. And their mother won't be able to save them from my tongue." He jokes once again before shaking his head. "Thats the thing though. I love the scraps so much I don't think I could ever really bring myself to scold them. Kits can get on my soft side too easily." He was sure Butterflydawn had the same problem, or something similar. But he couldn't believe how on hell Butterflydawn and Lavenderskies had about sixteen children and they for the most part were not growing gray furs yet. For all he knew the couple would have more yet to come.

    He wondered if they'd have anymore? The first litter admittedly was well- a pleasant surprise but would Heronswoop want anymore? Oh no he'd really lose all of his fur if he had any more kids.

    His ears perk up happily at the sight of Boapaw, though he allows a small snort to escape him. "Well thats because it wasn't supposed to be nice." He chuckles as he already begins to amble over to the exit of camp. "Don't tell me you haven't called me worse then mouse-brain though." He says as he attempts to give her a gentle playful nudge with his shoulder.

    This was going to be fun, and even if it ended up not being the most exciting thing in the world he was just glad to be back by Boapaw's side. The two could perhaps finally be... well actual siblings. It sounded nice, and sometimes it was even a little weird to think about the fact they were adopted.

    It was actually kinda weird now that he thought about it that he looked more like Orchardbreeze then he did his "actual" mom?

    What the hell happened?

    He didn't think he had actually ever told Boapaw about his encounters with his mother, he kept mostly hush hush with that unless it was with Heronswoop. He supposed the only reason he hadn't though is because... well there had never been a need to. He didn't want to worry about kin drama though, Boa and Beryl had suffered through plenty enough. Today they just needed to relax and have fun. He pauses and looks back at her with a small nod, "I did, I look even bigger in the water then I do out of it. I look like a gigantic white tuft of fur floating about." He purrs before waiting for Boapaw to assumingly near him before he takes off to the exit of camp again. "Maybe I could teach you sometime? We'd probably almost drown but hey it'll be fun."

            "So, someone finally break it to me. Will I able be able to see out of this eye again?"

    He had asked the question multiple times over the past couple of days, he was meant with dodged responses usually and sometimes he was event blatantly ignored. He was still sore from the fight and the pain had died down enough to where he could slowly move without it flaring up, his face had to hideous claw scratches still running sideways down his face. His beautiful, handsome face was ruined. It didn't really bother Berylbreeze, but sometimes it was funny to think that he had been born a show cat. A toy for twolegs. The mere thought of him ever being a tom whose main job in the world was to sit still and look pretty for some vile twolegs made him snort.

    But anyways, his true concern right now was his eye.

    Though he wasn't showing it, he was scared... Scared of not being able to see out of it again. The thought frightened him and cats probably were more aware of that then he thought considering he wasn't getting told.

    It really was scary... to think that he might lose half of his vision.

    Finally someone must have began to feel bad due to all of the cold shoulders he was getting. And simply yet quietly they told him "No."

    The word echoed in his head for what felt like minutes and he found himself frozen in his seat. He had began to realize that... that had most likely been the answer but now that he had actually been told it?

    No.

    He'd live like this for the rest of his life.

    Instead of sadness, anger instead consumed him. His white pelt began to bristle and without a word he slowly got up from his nest and ambled out of the medicine cats den to find a place to sit down in the fresh air. He'd blow if he kept laying down and resting, blow. It stung a little to move, but it'd probably hurt him even more to stay in there and begin to yell at the top of his lungs. Why did constant shit have to happen to him? His real mother left him, his caregivers died, half of his siblings were dead both adopted and real, Minnowkit was born dead, for StarClan's sake! Could he not get a break? When were they going to show him some mercy?

    Was StarClan really real? For all he knew it was just a queens tale. He had been fed it as a kit and believed it, never before had he seen anything that promoted the fact the starry cats in the sky are real.

    As he set down he felt his long sharp claws dig into the earth below him, his facial expression was neutral but given the way his fur bristled he was clearly not the happiest. Though from a distance he spots a small puddle within camp, it had rained lightly last night... and though Beryl knew he shouldn't Beryl gave into temptation and stood at the edge of the puddle and looked right into it. To stare at his now rather repulsive, in his eyes, face.

    "Dang I'm ugly."

    Large white ears curve back at the sound of approaching paw-steps, a single golden eye moves to look at Hurricanegaze and he lets out a small snort. He supposed? Maybe? He wasn't sure if he'd describe himself as mysterious but if other cats seen him that way he'd take it. It was better then getting glanced at and immediately said cat would grimace and look away. "Hmm... I suppose." The large warrior would shrug. But then a small chuckle of amusement would escape from his maw, "Well I'll take anything over being ugly. Maybe once I'm an elder I can tell over exaggerated stories to kits about how it happened, I can be that elder." He muses with a purr. "Still, sucks being partially blind now. I dunno how I'm going to adjust to it but I suppose we'll see in time..."

    He spots Breezepaw a little bit away from him, and a small smile grows on his face. The kid must have been worried about him huh? Probably wasn't the most settling thing hearing your mentor come into camp screaming and hollering in pain. "Hey kid."
