Valentines day had her rushing around, setting up dates that she didn't even get to enjoy. She eventually got to settle down with a few creatures at Aleksei's home, idly talking and eating his supply of cookies. And shortly after that, she slept, pooped from the days events. It was the next day that she finally had time to make gifts for her obligatory valentines - her parents. She had told herself several times that love wasn't for her. She could fall for creatures like Candela, with their cute faces and the insecurities that she definitely wanted to help fix, but she knew it would distract her from her true purpose. So, she refrained, deciding that those who gave her life would be just fine.
After several pieces of construction paper and a few broken crayons, Persephone decided that card making wasn't for her. She had tried to make her parents out of the paper, but without thumbs she couldn't really function scissors all too well. She had tried her small sabre teeth, only to tear the paper awkwardly and stab gaping holes where the eyes should be. The end result was... terrifying. Maybe she could give it to them for Halloween, instead, but it definitely looked like her attempt at a heart had Kady bleeding.
Stumped, the child would leave her home and explore, helping out some creatures along the way while she cleared her mind and gathered new ideas. She didn't want to give up on her Valentines Day surprise to her parents, and would keep trying even if it took months. Thankfully, it wouldn't have to. She noticed an NPC handing out jewelry in the camp. Beautiful golden pieces with several gems laid in different spots. She bounced over, her jumps elevated by her wings giving her something of a boost, before scouring the table for ideas. The NPC caught her looking - it wasn't like he could miss her, as her nose was practically on the table, and struck up a conversation. Eventually, the NPC offered to have some custom made jewelry for her, though it would take a few days to find the materials. She made the deal, her fur ruffling in excitement.
And here we are, five days since Valentines Day, and Percy finally had her gifts ready. She already adorned her own - a band that fit right at the band of her kinked tail. The band itself was golden - meant to match her father's color scheme, though she wasn't sure if it would be perfect. In the gold were three gems, two bigger around one smaller one. They were all garnet, a reddish brown color meant to match her mother's odd colored mane. She looked out for her parents, their gifts in a little basket. Her father was to receive a gold chain, the pendant had a single garnet stone. And her mother, a set of earrings, a garnet to each. She took a shot in the dark on what sort of jewelry her parents would appreciate, and hoped the heaven and hell that they would enjoy the unity between the three of them.
"Mom? Dad? C'mon, I know you two are around here somewhere," she called out, strolling through the camp. It was usually how it worked, calling out someone's name and them suddenly appearing. It was one of the many things she enjoyed doing.
